Nemesis has a way of catching up on you in ways you do not expect. After a long list of minor offenses, one would have thought the suspect will learn his lesson and stay away from trouble.

I wonder why everyone seems to be dropping Dash. There is nothing wrong with the coin as far as I know ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

I read somewhere that you can send bitcoins for free if you set up your own node and that you need about 8GB memory with 250GB disk space to do this.
Is there a light weight version of bitcoin core that can be used for sending coins?

So the increase in demand came from China, I thought it came from the early Christmas shoppers. Guess I was wrong ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

This topic should not be in the "Press" section. It should be in the "Bitcoin Discussion" section. You will get more responses there.

As it is now, bitcoin has a hard time reaching $600. It might take the next halving in 2020 for the price to reach $1000.
Repeated hacks of exchanges have made acceptance a more difficult thing to achieve.

With the price of bitcoin looking a bit dismal now, I will sell some satoshis when I need extra bucks and keep the rest.

Dogecoin is not dead, its price may not be rising like Monero but it won't go down. Just like Litecoin, it will remain standing against all odds.

ICONOMI and Antshares are good ICO options, but don't put too much in them, get your money out with profits before they start dumping the coins on you.

Best option to invest is bitcoin.Just invest on bitcoin and forget about it.Come back after years you will the rich guy of your town !!
You won't maximize profit that way, you have to do day trading to make the highest possible profit.

With the crypto market cap at $11B, one should still be able to make a few bucks out of trading altcoins with bitcoins.

We would be around this same price. The price was in decline before the hack happened, my guess is we would be exactly where we are now if it hadn't happpened. Doesn't change my mind that Bitfinex should be shut the fuck down.
Bitfinex kept its funds in cold storage with Bitgo, and Bitgo should share in the blame as well.

Is there a way to change your wallet seed if you wish to?
|
|
|
I installed a stand-alone version of electrum 2.6.4, then deleted it because I thought the seed might be compromised.
I then installed the windows installer version, to my dismay the seed was exactly the same!
How do I get another electrum wallet with a new seed?

Multibit should allow users to set the minimum fee themselves without making adjustments for them.

bitcoin are the best currency that is going to be around for a really long time and those haters will be just wasting their time
