81  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia unveils 'Satan 2' missile on: October 27, 2016, 03:32:27 PM
I think this is Russia's way of showing other countries that they are not someone to mess with, and Russia will attack if provoked. That being said, I do not think they will strike first, but will retaliate if another country attacks first. This could also be a warning sign for a possible World War 3 if Hillary Clinton is elected US President, and Russia is protecting itself by stockpiling on weapons. It is no secret that Clinton and Russia have had a rocky relationship after Clinton accused Russia of being behind her hacked emails, and it could lead to another Cold War.
82  Other / Off-topic / Re: For how many people you introduced the Bitcoin? on: October 26, 2016, 10:52:40 PM
I have introduced Bitcoin to many of my relatives and three of my closest friends, but most of them still do not understand how it works and don't want to try anything new. It really is a shame because Bitcoin will only become stronger when more people use it. I think that the complexity of how exactly it works hurts the product, and the difficulty of attaining Bitcoin doesn't help either. While it is easy to open a Bitcoin wallet, putting actual currency in that wallet is difficult and you need to go through a lot of steps before getting actual Bitcoins.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL week of 10/30 games on: October 26, 2016, 10:47:43 PM
Looking at the NFL schedule for Week 8, the best games for the upcoming week are the Patriots vs. Bills, Eagles vs. Cowboys, and Packers vs. Falcons. All three of these matchups will have playoff implications and are the games to watch. I am most looking forward to the Patriots playing the Bills again, this time on the road, looking to avenge their only loss of the season to Buffalo. The first time the Patriots met the Bills, Tom Brady was still serving his suspension, and this time with a better team, I think the Patriots win this game easy. With the other two games mentioned, I'm going with the Eagles and Packers.
84  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What does the world think of Trump on: October 26, 2016, 03:53:25 PM
I am from the United States and will vote for Donald Trump on Election Day. I believe that he is the lesser of two evils, and I think his policies are better for America than Clinton's. Trump has said that he would lower taxes, which is another reason why I am voting for him. That being said, I still think that Hillary Clinton will be the next U.S. President. Trump is suffering from a divided Republican Party, as well as the media being completely against him and the ongoing scandals.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: October 26, 2016, 02:26:25 PM
Resounding defeat Golden State against San Antonio Spurs! 129-100, a defeat of 29 points was unthinkable.
I think Golden State is still the super favorite, but must become the team as soon as possible

The Warriors are still a team in progress, and with so many new players on the team, it will take some time until we see their true potential. It was shocking that Golden State lost by 29 at home but it is only one game, and it was against a great Spurs team with one of the best coaches ever. I agree with your assessment that the Warriors are still the team to beat (at least in their conference). I was more impressed with the Cavaliers performance, they are still playing at a high level after winning the NBA Championship last year.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the idea of a bitcoin shop in big cities? on: October 25, 2016, 11:57:44 PM
It would be a great idea if there would be a Bitcoin shop in big cities or even a big shopping place that accepted Bitcoin as a form of payment. The reason why it hasn't been implemented in too many places is because Bitcoin hasn't appealed to the masses yet and the random person has no idea what the cryptocurrency is. Sadly, I think for Bitcoin to take off and be accepted everywhere, it will have to be regulated and taxed, which I don't think will happen.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happen with bitcoin after not mineable? on: October 25, 2016, 07:50:15 PM
I believe that when Bitcoin will not be mineable anymore (many years from now), the value of Bitcoin will still continue to be strong as long as the demand and interest is still there. While there will not be any new Bitcoins being put into the marketplace (the supply will be finished), the demand for people to purchase the coins will tell how long the cryptocurrency will last for. The only way that Bitcoin will fade is if people's interest in cryptocurrency fades and people move on to the next big thing.
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Major League Baseball/MLB Regular Season Discussion on: October 25, 2016, 04:24:38 PM
The World Series finally starts today and I feel that the Chicago Cubs should be a decent favorite to win it against the Cleveland Indians. The Cubs were the best team in the regular season and proved that they are the team to beat in the postseason. While the Indians have also done well to make it this far, they have not played a superior team yet, and for that reason, I think the Cubs will win the World Series in 5 games, which will be their first World Series Championship in 108 years!
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin was made illegal by your government would you still use it? on: October 25, 2016, 04:09:55 PM
This is a tough question to answer. Personally, I would still support Bitcoin and everyone who uses it, even if it was made illegal by my government and was punishable by law. I would not have as much of an involvement with the cryptocurrency, since it would have harsh consequences. The one thing that I wonder would be how the government would enforce the law since Bitcoin is meant to be anonymous and if they would go after every person who still uses it.
90  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you really think that? on: October 25, 2016, 02:26:29 PM
With exactly two weeks until the Presidential election, Donald Trump is currently losing according to the latest polls and needs to turn it around if he wants to become the next President. These polls have him down somewhere between 6 to 8 percentage points to Clinton. While Trump does have great support in the country and the most enthusiastic supporters, he is the underdog and most expect him to lose on election day. I still think that Trump has a chance to win, but he needs all his supporters and then some to vote for him and for Clinton to have low voter turnout.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Many Millions of People Use Bitcoin? on: October 25, 2016, 12:49:32 AM
I would guess that the total number of people that use Bitcoin to be somewhere around 5-6 million and growing. I voted for the 5 million to 15 million option, but would not be surprised if even more people than that use it in the next few years after learning about the advantages of Bitcoin. Since Bitcoin is mostly an anonymous currency, we would have no idea how many people actually use it, which is the beauty of it. With over 7 billion people in the world, and more than 3 billion people using the internet, the ones who do use Bitcoin are still a small community in comparison.
92  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you tell in public that you use bitcoin? on: October 24, 2016, 09:44:54 PM
There are only a few friends of mine that know that I use Bitcoin but they do not understand it. Personally, I do not know anyone (other than myself) that uses Bitcoin and that is the real shame. I do not hide my use of Bitcoin and try to endorse it to anyone that listens. I believe that this crypto currency has the ability to be the future of money as we know it, and hope that its popularity continues to grow and more people become involved in Bitcoin.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I heard some the people in BD that "bitcoin will die" is that true? on: October 24, 2016, 07:46:37 PM
The death of Bitcoin has been greatly exaggerated, and I think Bitcoin is currently in a better position now than at any other time in its history. Every day, more and more people are learning about Bitcoin and the advantages to having the cryptocurrency. I also think that now is the time to invest in Bitcoin and the price will continue to go up. More retailers and companies are accepting Bitcoin than ever before, and the future is bright!
94  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL discussion thread on: October 24, 2016, 07:37:21 PM
Nearing the halfway mark of the 2016 NFL regular season ( Week 8 ), I would say that the teams with the best chance to win the Super Bowl this year would be the New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, and Minnesota Vikings. The Patriots are by far the best team in the AFC and should not have much difficulty making it to the Championship Game as long as everyone stays healthy, while the NFC is a lot more stacked and more difficult to predict.
95  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World war 3 will start in 2016-2020 or not? on: October 24, 2016, 04:38:27 PM
The prospects of a possible third World War might be dependent on who the next American President is and what relations that person will have with other superpowers, such as Russia. I do think World War 3 is more likely if Hillary Clinton is elected President since it will likely start another Cold War with Russia. It is no secret that Clinton and Putin do not like each other, and there will be hostility between the two countries. On the other hand, Donald Trump has said that he will want to get along with Russia, and if the United States and Russia are seen as allies, it will make it less likely of any war in the future.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: October 23, 2016, 07:31:09 PM
The reason why I gamble is to have fun, whether it is playing the many games in the casino or making a sports bet. There are only a select few who can actually make profit gambling, and even fewer can do it for a living. The house does have an edge in all games, and I feel that gambling is a form of entertainment for me, just like it would be if I was watching a movie or went to a concert, and these forms of entertainment has a fee, which is a percentage of your money.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ABSOLUTELY THE BEST BITCOIN INVESTMENT!What would that be? on: October 22, 2016, 07:31:26 PM
While everyone has a different opinion of what the best Bitcoin investment is, I think the best Bitcoin investment would be to hold on to the Bitcoins you currently have and hope that the price per Bitcoin goes up. Currently, a single Bitcoin is trading at about $650 US dollars, which is near its high of the past two years, and up from a low of $300 US dollars of a year ago. With the demand of Bitcoins still very high, and the supply lowering every day, I think it would be best to just keep the ones you have right now and to buy more of them when the price is right.

When it comes to Bitcoin, there has not been any mainstream movies to come out yet about the subject, but the two best documentaries that I have been able to find are: "The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin" and "Bitcoin: The End of Money as We Know It." These documentaries are fairly new, coming out in the last two years, and with more people interested in the subject, it will lead to more of these documentaries.

For the techie, some newer movies that I would recommend are: The Social Network, Transcendence, Iron Man, Minority Report, Her, and Inception.
If you are looking for older classics, these movies should be watched: Tron (1982), 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), Gattaca (1997), WarGames (1983), and Total Recall (1990).
