81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Theymos's list of altcoins with some technical merit on: August 16, 2017, 10:31:30 PM
agree on all points except monero would get .1 for unlimited supply

It's a disinflationary coin. It'll act more like real cash than bitcoin.
82  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius Coin Advise on: August 16, 2017, 08:16:08 AM
ANACS is a coin grading service and they don't directly deal with bitcoin. You don't have to redeem it if you don't want to send it to ANACS, you can keep it or sell it here. If you post some pictures with the date and your username, people may want to buy it.
83  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 2011 Casascius Brass BTC MS-64 Fully Loaded! on: August 15, 2017, 04:30:24 PM
As this Casascius 1BTC coin is fully loaded, does this mean it holds1 Bitcoin BTC, PLUS 1 Bitcoin Cash BCC?

What is the precise methodology to check that the balances are there in full?

Yes, it means it holds 1 BTC and 1 BCH. To check the balance, you will punch in the first bits you see in the middle of the hologram on here: https://casascius.uberbills.com/ or search it on the signed list provided on casascius.com. You can then use your address and check on a BTC explorer and a BCH explorer.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Viacoin (VIA) - Safe | Segwit | Lightning Network | Auxpow | Fast on: August 14, 2017, 08:42:09 PM
I don't think extending the supply or introducing a miner tax is a good idea. I'm sure there's enough via supporters to fund ideas and projects through crowd funding. For example, I would be happy to contribute toward getting exchanges to list VIA or getting VIA implemented into a ledger wallet etc.

Nickel price dropped and added a the silver satoshi as a free gift! It's priced to sell Smiley

Please note that proper shipping options will be discussed beforehand. I'm aware that it would be too risky to send it directly via normal postage.
86  Other / Archival / Re: . on: August 11, 2017, 04:54:37 PM
Coin B: 0.56BTC
Coin C: 0.56BTC

EDIT: Sorry, I'd like to retract my bids. If that's a problem, I will commit to the bids made. Let me know.

0.01 for the single and the nickel
88  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Auction]Casascius Physical Bitcoins (2 x 10BTC, 25BTC, 5BTC, 1BTC) & Bearer Bar on: August 09, 2017, 01:19:15 PM
I think you made a small mistake in example 2:

Quote
example 2: User A bids 1BTC for the two silver coins, User B bids 1.5BTC for the bearer bar, User C bids 2.6BTC for everything, User D bids 0.2BTC for the 25, 5 and 1BTC pieces.  Users A, B and D win with a combined final bid of 2.61BTC

Which should actually read:

Quote
example 2: User A bids 1BTC for the two silver coins, User B bids 1.5BTC for the bearer bar, User C bids 2.6BTC for everything, User D bids 0.2BTC for the 25, 5 and 1BTC pieces.  Users A, B and D win with a combined final bid of 2.7BTC

I will bid 0.2BTC for both redeemed cas 10 coins.

It might help to separate the items into lots Smiley Eg: Lot A: Cas 10 coins, Lot B: Bar, etc.

Updated the nickel price once more as the BCH price has moved a lot. The pricing is now more flexible and won't need to be updated again.
90  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Assorted physical crypto-coins on: August 03, 2017, 09:24:01 PM
Sales are now running again. The prices in the OP have been updated to reflect the recent increase in value. At about 0.16 per BCH, there is an additional 0.8BTC worth on the nickel.

The price of the satoshi silver has had a slight decrease in its asking price.
91  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Assorted physical crypto-coins on: August 02, 2017, 03:17:17 PM
Orders will temporarily be suspended. I will be doing a re-evaluation of the coins once the BCH price settles.
92  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Could bitcoin based physical coins gain value if BCC reigns supreme? on: August 01, 2017, 11:47:02 AM
I’m a bit confused...so, when I redeem a physical bitcoin after the fork, will I be redeeming just the BTC? Or will I be able to redeem that coin for BTC and Bitcoin Cash?

If it was funded prior the the fork, it will have 2 balances - one on the BTC blockchain, and another on the BCC chain. So yes, you theoretically should be able to redeem both.

Personally, I'm a bit wary of replay attacks after googling around (Remember ETH/ETC fork?), but guess we'll see soon...

1 private key-holding Casascius Bitcoin entitles:
-main chain holdings
-BCC holdings (by existence)
-Byteball holdings (if registered)
-CLAM holdings (if registered)
-Stellar holdings (if registered)

Necessarily the sum has to be greater than itself alone.

As to BCC, my understanding (not certainty) is that replay attacks cannot happen because the format between chains is incompatible.

How would one register for byteball with a casascius coin without redeeming it first? You can't send a tx from the key inside the coin, nor can you sign from it. You can claim CLAMS if it was funded before a certain date and no registration needed.

If there is a way, please let me know as I would want to register my coins!  Smiley

yes I was scammed!!! They called themselves mifman and I looked at the profile and they just created the account this morning. Unreal and what people do today makes me sick. Im still interested in the roll you have for sale. How do I pay now with escrow?

Sorry to hear about that, please do take this type of situation into account when doing further transactions.

And unfortunately the roll is not available, as minerjones has first preference when he Pm'd me yesterday:

Everything still available. Smiley Feel free to make some offers!

PM sent
