Bitcoin Price Increases As We Enter The President Trump Era

If there is one positive thing to take away from the US Presidential elections, it is the increased bitcoin price. No matter who won, the Bitcoin price was poised to go up as a result. Stock markets around the world have gone in the red already, despite showing signs of recovery. As Americans let themselves get Trumped, Bitcoin users are watching events unfold with a smile on their faces.
Financial turmoil is daily news these days, and things only get worse over time. The 2016 US Presidential elections shook up quite a few markets before the voting even began. Additionally, the repercussions of President Trump’s victory remain yet to be determined. One thing’s for sure, the Bitcoin price is going up, which hardly surprises anyone.

Gemini Expands Bitcoin and Ether Exchange to New Asian Markets

Digital currency exchange Gemini announced yesterday that it is opening its services to traders in South Korea and Japan.
The move comes just over a year after Gemini first opened its doors in New York. The exchange, which had been in the works since early 2015, came online following its successful bid for a bank charter. Yet the exchange struggled to find traders following its launch, and may be looking past US shores in a bid to attract more activity.
Customers in both countries will have access to bitcoin and ether trading, both markets of which will trade against the US dollar. South Korean and Japanese customers will also have access to Gemini's daily bitcoin auction.

84  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it safe to keep all your Bitcoins in one wallet? on: November 06, 2016, 05:26:19 AM
For my opinion, is it safe to keep all your bitcoins in one desktop wallet but your computer must be safe from viruses or malware and also encrypted with passwords. For online wallets, I do not think they are very secure as I do not have the full control of the wallet. I cannot get the private keys on the online wallet sometimes. They also might discloses information to a third party as the service can associate your payments together, log your IP address and know your real identity if you provide personal information like your email, name or banking account. So choose your wallet carefully.

Good luck though as now the price of bitcoin is going up and going down quite frequently. But since you have the plan of selling your Apple iPhones here, just create a thread or topic about it like others on the forum. Maybe also get a escrow (maybe?) because your account is quite new i guess. Show proof of your company and transparency. And make sure they are not fake iPhones or replica of iPhones also. I like your idea of trying out new things to make your business bloom. Good luck on your sales of iPhones here on the forum!
86  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How do you know when a site tries to scam you? on: November 06, 2016, 05:00:40 AM
1. Always research the sites. Look for reviews or something.
2. Look at the sites. If you look at the site and there is something suspicion going on at the site. Stay away from it.
3. Double check the domain, is it a replica of other websites.
4. SSL certificate. Check if the website have SSL certificate. Because SSL is used to secure credit card transactions, data transfer and logins.
5. Common sense. If the sites says double or even triple your btc, do you think something is wrong? Obviously there is. Which kind soul on earth would double your btc for free Hence, always use your common sense and think.

Free Falling Bolivar Increases Demand for Bitcoin in Venezuela

Bitcoin, the popular digital currency had a few great weeks on the market as its price surged from mid $600s to over $700. The increase attributed to increasing demand from the Chinese market saw an abrupt end after unconfirmed reports stated that the Chinese government will soon be implementing measures to prevent capital flows in the form of Bitcoin or other digital currencies.
With Bitcoin price currently staying a bit under the $700 mark, the digital currency may soon find itself in a favorable spot, thanks to the Latin American nation of Venezuela. The speculation of another round of price rise is based on the current economic situation in the country and Latin America overall. The currency of Venezuela, bolivar has lost most part of its value in the past few months. As the economy weakens, bolivar is now trading at almost 50% less against US dollar compared to the beginning of this year.

Total Bitcoin Transaction Volume Surpassed US$100bn in September

People seem to collect all kinds of statistics related to the Bitcoin protocol. Interestingly enough, one of the currency’s largest milestones was overlooked by just about everyone. On September 2nd, 2016, the Bitcoin blockchain surpassed the S$100bn mark in Bitcoin volume transferred since its inception. Quite an achievement for this “niche market,” and hopefully, a sign of better things to come.
Statistics like these always have to be taken with a slight grain of salt, though. Granted, the Bitcoin protocol did indeed surpass US$100bn in transaction volume. However, a fair amount of those transfers come from change addresses, which somehow skews the numbers a bit. Then again, it is still a magnificent feat for a currency very few people give a chance at success.

Bitcoin Price Drops 8% Amid China Rumors, Who’s to Blame?

Following several healthy weeks, bitcoin has fallen to about $705 from a high of $740, and investors aren’t happy. The new rules that China is possibly implementing would limit bitcoin trading by preventing exchanges from transferring funds to platforms outside Chinese borders.
There would also be restrictions on how much one sends or receives. These moves are all part of an ongoing attempt to bring the yuan’s value back to normalcy. The currency recently experienced its lowest point in six years, and regulators feel banning bitcoin is the ultimate solution.
The good news is that these are all simply classified as “rumors.” The bad news is that bitcoin’s price has dropped, and if the Chinese rumors are false, then we’re no closer to finding the true cause of the drop.

Bitcoin Reaches All Time High Daily Trading Volume at $5 bln

Bitcoin reached its all time high daily trading volume at $5 bln earlier this week, primarily because of the current regulatory policies on Wealth Management Products in China. Bitcoin's at It Again

It's happening again. Bitcoin has locked step with gold and taken to the skies as uncertainty about the U.S. election increases volatility in global markets. It is, in short, acting as a haven. The last time this happened was in the run-up to the U.K. referendum on European Union membership. Then, my colleague, Tim Culpan, and I argued that digital currencies can't be taken home and stored in a vault.

97  Economy / Marketplace / Re: PC parts store that accept bitcoin and ships to Asia on: October 23, 2016, 08:51:04 AM
As the title says, i tried using purse.io but mostly likely is either shipping costing 30 dollars more or not able to ship to asia. I went digging around the forum and google. But all i find was prices that was higher than amazon or doesn't  ship to asia again. Anyone got any recommendation for me? Trying to buy Pc Parts/ Electronics. If things does not work out i will just try to buy with purse.io with 30 dollars extra.

Note: Location is at South-east Asia.

Thanks for the help!
It is hard to find a shop which willing to ship to our countries with a cheap price. I am living in south east asia too. Our countries are not as develop as  some other country so that 30$ is a high price for us to pay. Actually, in these developing coutry, 30$ is a cheap which most of people can buy it. I think, the best way to pay for your computer parts right now is to convert your bitcoin to FIAT money and buy them
Correct, we would really have a hard time  to consider these things because  bitcoin adoption is not  fully widespread  throughout each countries  thats why we could  not directly use  our  bitcoin at all. As  he suggested   we exchange  our bitcoins to fiat as of  now   in able to  purchase your desired  pc parts  locally.

I can suggest that you may register online at paypal for the purpose of buying PC parts online and use your atm account for purchase locally on your City.
You can also use your bitcoin to paid out to your atm account # so that you can cash-out it anytime..
You now have the best options to do at the very comfort of yours, saving time and to avoid conflicts of schedules.

I cannot have a paypal account because I am under 18. As well as the atm part, and parents do not want me to have such things at a young age. Hence i am stuck in this situation. I need to wait a few years for me to use paypal. But thanks for your suggestion and help.

Why don't you use Shopawl for your needs? It is a service which offers unrestricted shopping from Aliexpress, Banggood and more recently eBay.
All you need to do is pick an item of your choice from these shops, paste it on Shopawl's site and pay for it with BTC or ETH.

Cool but it's kinda of risky as my parents brought stuff from aliexpress and not generic products got shipped to my parents. So I don't kinda trust aliexpress. But thanks for your recommendation and your help!

If the total amount in usd is not very large I would suggest you to pay with a bitcoin debit card (likely the virtual one), so you could pay locally or in a near country and it could cost cheaper (normally).

Sad to say but i tried but vcc needs to be 18+(I am not 18+. Do not judge please.). But thanks for the help.

Just using a local store? However for you try in the Alibaba's shop? I think buying from the local store is already accepting shipping to the foreign. but you need for reading the shipping coverage of the online shops before.

Alibaba is a good source but they are selling by bulk and they offer big discounts for this, try Alibaba hongkong based online shop also offer free shipment like focalprice I've tried their service and they do offer free shipment but I'm not sure if they have the pc parts that you want sent.

For Alibaba, i am scared of buying not genuine electronics or getting scammed. Not say that every product on there is not legit but i want to play it safe. Then it might take quite a longer time. Thanks for your help!

What Stands in the Way of Bitcoin Mass Adoption in Africa

Potentially, Africa’s huge unbanked population combined with the burdensome process of opening and operating a bank account should make Bitcoin an instant hit.
However, its adoption has been irritatingly slow even though the basic infrastructure is not missing. It is estimated that by the end of this decade that 80 percent of the continent’s more than 1.2 bln population would be using Smartphones.
Then what hinders Bitcoin penetration in Africa? Cointelegraph spoke about it with experts in the cryptocurrency community on the so-called dark continent.
