Ask again, I ordered about same time - took some time... tracking shows that packet should be here tomorrow!
So, I trust that you will also get what you ordered. They seems to me just extremely busy with all the orders.
83  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Unofficial BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: February 26, 2014, 08:11:46 PM
@georgem : Nope, nothing yet....and I can't tell much about the interface beacause I haven't seen it for myselfe and we'll keep the port 80 closed for security reasons Tongue

:-)

Setup VPN for yourself - it`s also nice to let some php monitoring script run on a webspace via Cgminer-API & port-forwarding. Itīs simple & you can even too regulate what IP-adresses are allowed to read the API.
If looking for the script we use: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=222632.0

This should help you too monitor the devices without opening some ports of web-if to the internet.

We too let run each miner on some of this here: http://www.amazon.de/Websteckdose-Die-IP-Steckdose-WLAN-Temperatursensor/dp/B006O791N0

... & same special built ones with 400V input & 3x 3600W (240V) output for the rigs. Perfect if a miner makes trouble & you have to reboot from abroad - all together a nice way to manage everything without being there.

Thank you for the idea!
That would be nice to set up, I will try when miners arrive as I will set up those at warehouse - dont want heat & noise to home.

85  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitstamp BLOCKs withdrawals to verified users on: February 26, 2014, 07:49:58 PM
Ok, then maybe those questions are fine and just standard "bank questions".
86  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitstamp BLOCKs withdrawals to verified users on: February 26, 2014, 07:39:33 PM
I've filled it previously, sent them my id and bill and registration card. Then entered the bank data with swiftcode etc.

Now the ask for this:
Quote
We received your withdrawal request. As your withdrawal request met some of our volume and frequency thresholds, we will have to kindly ask you to help us better understand the nature of your relationship with Bitstamp. In order to do so, we require that an additional KYC (know your customer) procedure is completed before we can proceed with the processing of your transfer.

We kindly ask you to send us a high resolution image double page of your international passport and answer the following KYC questionnaire:
1. How did you learn about Bitcoin?
2. The purpose of trading on Bitstamp?
3. What is the origin of the deposited Bitcoins? If mining, please specify your hardware specifications and submit a receipt or an invoice for your mining equipment.
4. What are your future plans and activities planned on our exchange?
5. Do you plan more withdrawals in the future?
6. Which bank are you using? Please provide the complete address and SWIFT code.

We kindly ask you to submit your answers and documents in a reply to this ticket.

I was asked these questions when I made withdrawals in November/December 2013 from Bitstamp, so this is nothing out of the ordinary. I answered the questions and received my withdrawals as normal.

If that's real what they are doing, Im not going to use them.
I can understand only question 4 and 6.
It's not their business if I mine, I can tell it, but no way to give " hardware specifications and submit a receipt or an invoice for your mining equipment."

This is getting absolutely grazy. I was about to move my things to Bitstamp including integrate online shops with them. I have already there verified account, but they can now do whatever they want. I will do my business at other places.

Whatever the situation is at Gox the cat is nice Smiley

My experiences about exchanges:
bitcoin24.de - btc jammed there when german authorities confisticated bank accounts, however Simon paid my btc back, but situation still is open generally.
bitcoin-central.net - got hacked and colosed for few months, luckily transfered btc out there i bought about a week before. Now they're again open.
mtgox.com - they sent me even free yubikey, actually never any probems with gox. SEPA was fast and everything worked, but as I learned from previous experiences... I dont keep any second any BTC or fiat at any exchange if not needed.
So luckily lost nothing yet on these cases... but this tells a lot about things generally.

Received tracking and packet already picked up!
Things just take a bit of time. This seems to be actually quite fast delivery if everything goes well compared to for example Bitmine - my CoinCraft Desk miners are already two months late!

Thank you Jack!
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UK Banks Strangling Bitcoin Startups ----------- on: February 25, 2014, 08:01:21 PM
I have heard that there is a group of tech investors (one of them is friend of mine)which is maybe going to set up new bank in some not yet named EU country and the sole purpose of that bank is to push bitcoin adoption and welcome legal bitcoin businesses and especially work with exchanges. They might have tens millions of capital ready to put behind that institution, but still very draft and takes forever if they proceed... anyway things are happening. They are just a bit carefully as some rumors say that there's one big bank operating in various eu countries that is going to annouce full suport for bitcoin... maybe. Let''s see what happens, but for sure some bank starts it - if not current there comes new.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Money run by Gox and conspiracy happening right now (Joint statement topic) on: February 25, 2014, 06:35:52 PM
Actually, you want Heavy Regulations for exchanges. The types of regulations you want are:

1) Segregation of Customer Assets from Company Assets
2) Rules to ensure solvency of counterparties (margin requirements for trading)
3) Rules for timely crediting of deposits and processing of withdrawals
4) Rules to prevent insider trading and self dealing (manipulating the order book)
5) Regular audits to ensure safe keeping of Customer Assets

If there were an SEC regulated exchange for BTC, BTC Futures, and BTC options, I would be the first to sign up and trade there. As they say, "Return of my principal is more important than return on my principal". Right now, how do you know which exchange you can trust? You don't, and that is a transaction barrier. Drop the barriers, and more people would be willing to participate.
The SEC con artists and scammers. They claim to ensure those five things you mention, and when they ignore repeated warnings or just watch porn instead of doing their job they have no accountability for their failure.

Anybody who pushes regulation as a solution to the problem of exchanges is being disingenuous. Regulation is a power grab, not a solution to a problem.

You want sound exchanges that can't lose or steal customer funds? Find a way to do it with cryptography. If you think the problem of losing money because the people you trusted to do the right thing didn't can be solved by trusting different people to do the right things you're a fool or a liar.

92  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: We know Gox is dead. How many user's BTC does Gox hold? on: February 25, 2014, 02:54:25 AM
Everyone should know that Gox is pretty much dead. One simple indicator is "why its taking them so long to fix this protocol issue as oppose to the other exchanges." The history of Gox is another big indicator.

At this point. If Gox does come back. How much does it owe to users in BTC and fiat currency values?

Gox might owe / over 700.000 btc and over 50.000.000 Usd of customer funds in total.
93  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: SCRYPT ASIC miner ready. BTC+LTC ASIC miner, 1THS(1000GHS) Bitcoin miner, 950W. on: February 24, 2014, 10:08:01 PM

This is my situation
I paid on feb 11 through bank wire, and according to the bank they have my money since feb 13.
Payment was confirmed by Angela last week

Saturday, February 22, 2014   Location   Time
1   Shipment information received    SHENZHEN - CHINA, PEOPLES REPUBLIC

I have the "tracking number" since Saturday,  yesterday i asked jack why the packgage still wasn't in dhl's hands, he told me that they had some problems with dhl, and for this reason the package would be picked up on Monday.
If in 24 hours the package isn't show as being moving
I will ask for a refund

update : my order has been shipped  Smiley (feb 24)

How you managed to get the tracking number?
I have called to dhl - nothing coming.
Asked from Jack many many many times last pm from friday:
"if send by bank transfer, my team has finished the payment confirm for payment before Feb15. the the package is on the way."

But nothing. No confirmation of payment from Agela or any one no tracking nothing.

I have got every time answer from Jack  which is great, but it doesn't help if problem remains unsoved. I trust this goes fine, but need also some action. Im sorry for my impatience. Please confirm my wire, send tracking or give estimated shipping date, thanks!

EDIT: paid by wire 10th feb

96  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: February 22, 2014, 08:52:00 AM
It would not be a good idea to post your exact order number. There has been all kind of things happening at delivery stage if order number and your country is known. I think Bitmine does not change delivery address, but it can happen with courier company...

A big stone is falling from my heart.  Grin
I still with stone..
Paid by bank on 12.02, still no any confirmations or codes..
Same here, paid 10.02 by wire, still no any confirmations or codes... but I think as people have received recently tracking codes they are clearing order queue quite fast and sending units. Hopefully we'll also got those soon.
99  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: SCRYPT ASIC miner ready. BTC+LTC ASIC miner, 1THS(1000GHS) Bitcoin miner, 950W. on: February 20, 2014, 09:48:12 PM
Hi guys can we start a "Gridseed Tech Support Thread" instead of keeping all these technical questions/responses in this one?

I think it would be to everyone's benefit if all of the troubleshooting/instructional/etc. material were separated out...so this thread stays on topic for buying these units...and the new thread deals with the aftermath of getting them.

Great idea!
Just need first to get mine!

This is getting not good. There's so many ASIC sellers / companies out there which are giving nothing for their customers that one which can deliver and provide at least some stage of customer service have good posibility to become quite sucessfully. Hopefully it is Lightningasic, but they need to do FAST something for all pending orders / payments etc.
