Well its done now....
sv has parted ways...
bye bye sv trolls....
Time to try and build your own community on another thread here at bitcointalk.
You are always welcome here (just try not to shill sv here too much)

This is the BCH thread...not sv...

 Smiley

For real?
I heard a news about ABC becomes the next 'BCH' from the internet before, but did not take it seriously because they claimed that they will fight for 2 years? or around that.
but do not you think it is a little bit too soon?

Also, what is the difference between ABC and SV actually? Technically.
(I am not trolling, I wish to know about this. so please).

The ABC devs are adding changes to remove the emergent network from BitCoin.  They do this unironically as their various thought leaders enter into deep emergence network worship.  You cannot make this stuff up.  LOL @ ABC

Mr Pumpery is just here for the thousands of coins and speculating I think (happy to be wrong)  He maybe did not get or understand the memo that BitCoin was p2p cash not p2p money  Kiss

yeah elegance was traded for legal liability in ABC  lose:lose

Oh, as I said.BAB BCH is not the cash I invested in,  I s getting a shitcoin workbench https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/a0n8x1/native_bch_tokens_are_coming_thanks_to_op/

DSV makes miners become illegal if im not mistaken.

I prefer SV over BCH, but that assertion seems to be hyperbole.

yeah another way to say that is that dsv very likely could put the miners under a more strict set of legal liabilities like that of a publisher.  So now they could be liable for the content.  ...

such wow

There are very real legal concerns IMO that I am sure miners have not been briefed on yet.

86  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Up Like Trump on: November 26, 2018, 12:48:33 AM
The people who elected him or who didn’t really care don’t mind those things that much and don’t seem to mind the abrogation of the rule of law (perhaps others don’t mind it either, too). As long people either don’t mind ignoring laws they don’t like, or think the system of laws is rigged and needs to be destroyed, people will be voting for Trump or people like him. They may not understand or care about the consequences of that reasoning, but that won’t stop them.

Trump did run his campaign on the notion that he wanted to restore the individual western values (aka human rights under int. law.)

88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 26, 2018, 12:26:25 AM

So if you have BTC this means that you have BCH SV or was that just a fork of BCH on

yeah, not paying attention ..only BCH I have 'supposedly' I have not touched from the BTC Hoard wallet from when it landed...

brad

If you haven't split your coins from the original BCH fork from BTC, you now have coins in both the ABC and SV fork. Since neither side has implemented replay protection, it may be a challenge to split the coins. Since you are a miner, you can probably mine coinbase coins from both sides and then use these as 'tainted" coins to do the split. The process looks really complicated now, especially since you haven't done the original split. In any event, if you want to claim coins at any point, you are probably going to have to import your private keys/seed phrase for your BTC to Electron Cash.(That would probably be the easiest software, AFAIK) I would move your BTC to a new private key/seed as a first step.

As big a mess as all this is on Jan 1st, 2020 we could find out that Craig Wright really is the last man standing from the Satoshi group...and has access to what

he says is the so-called BTC trust at that point...god knows things are weird enough anyway on all this

so I'll probably just leave it all alone all the forked coins on my 2015 HODL wallet

(by the by I dumped 13 BTC like a small panic'd girl to pay for health insurance for 2019 and with my LTC dump have $$$ to stay retired till 2020 when I'm

65 years and could take soc sec 1 yr early and then could get Medicaid (no more 12k a year payments for health insurance)

so yeah, don't want to work for anyone for the next year so PUNTED..and 13 number of BTC being evil and all seems appropriate) Sad

hopefully, I'm wrong and this BCH war will pan out and BTC will recover..but not counting on it to keep retired this last year don't ya know Smiley

thanks for the update

brad

I am not jealous of your predicament.  Myself, I considered the changes and the way they have been forced and I was able to make up my mind very easily.  I refuse to be a party to fraud and further I know that the function many think this dsv will deliver is more durable if implemented in better ways more in line with the needs of the merchants who we hope would use this coin.  ABC and BTC have no future as they have refused all recommendations by their peers, miners and experts.  The only thing they have as a technical argument is Always Bad Craigman.

pumpy, I am puting you on ignore.  you and the core trolls have fun destroying cash and pumping shit.

pumpy probably wants moar shitcoins to pump instead of focusing on cash vs money.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 11, 2018, 04:50:29 AM

Again, folk on this thread have 'tried' to explain this to me before. But I'm still befuddled....so just checking...

IF you have a BTC paper wallet from 2015 with your BTC and of course 1st fork of BCH coin on that wallet from the first BCH fork.

AND you never have touched it. It still has its 'virgin' BTC and 'virgin' BCH sitting their patiently trolling you to blow it on girls and travel Sad

Do you have to move your BCH to an individual wallet BCH for this next BCH fork off of above original BTC 2015 paper wallet address chain to work?

Or will it act like all other forks of above with riginal BTC wallet with BCH on it....and you don't have to do zip...moving the BCH off of the legacy address?

Thus, does my original BTC and BCH wallet address from 2015 above act like the original 1st BCH wallet as well and no move is needed?

Hopefully, this clears up what I'm asking. I assume I can leave all this alone and this next BCH fork will be included in the 'varied attachments of many dubious

forked BTC coins' on this BTC paper wallet from 2015 Smiley

I'd think this is the case for all those BTC wallets that have yet to move off BCH off them yet from the very first BCH fork. Thus this next BCH fork

will act the same, without any action on my part. Or my 'paranoia' is justified and this next BCH forked coin off of BCH can only fork off a 'pure' BCH address..thus I'd better move off the BCH.

Probably more than 50% of folk never moving their original BCH off their original BTC...that would be a lot less of this BCH forked coin in the world if the fork is off of a generated BCH wallet address only!

Hopefully, what I'm asking makes sense...but use small words and pictures....for clarity...I seem to be getting 'dimmer' with age, dont' ya know. ...not that I'm paranoid..it is just that I'm very, very, paranoid. Smiley

(could be worse, I could work for NASA and screw up the technical communications as I did with previous posts on this thread to me on this and everyone dies.eaaaak!..best to grovel and just ask again Sad

thank you for your patience on this Smiley

I will labor to be less of an 'idiot' in the future Smiley

brad

your question is good.  please keep asking until you are satisfied.

You do not need to do anything.  If you have your private keys you have your coins.  There is only ONE BitCoin Wink

However Seg wit coins, lightning network tokens and now DSV are not secure ECONOMICALLY speaking Wink

Well, I never really got a clear answer. I assume?Huh that since the BTC paper wallet I have from 2015 has BTC on it undisturbed...and thus also on that same wallet when emptied has BCH on it undisturbed...

that when/if I move the BTC someplace ..wa la! it becomes my 1st BCH wallet ..thus this coming fork will then show up on such.

otherwise, what is it 51% or some such of BTC wallets have NOT seperated their BCH coins from such by moving and siphoning off the BCH....

if that is not the case....well we will see...just not doing crap....if I have to run around moving all the forked coin off my original BTC chain in order to get any forks of those forks...

well now that is just gettin silly

but as to the above an answer from someone on the above well 'deafening silence'

so that means that the craig wright fork of BCH if it ONLY is off seprated BTC wallets etc...the payout in BCH would probably be what 40% of BTC wallets from back in the day IF PEOPLE CLAIM IT

if not craig wright fork does not have to shoot out a lot of BCH forked coins.

or

it is just obvious what i put above is correct and I don't have to do anything to get the BCH fork of my 'untouched' 2015 BTC wallet with original BCH ...and my question is just stupid to those in the know

*hey, I'm not the sharpest shovel in the shed*

anyway, not doing crap....my 2015 paper wallet of BTC is sitting safe/fat and  happy in the bank safety deposit box.....if I start moving coin around to differenent addresses and such....I could snap like

a dry twig and have a life of romance/travel and adventure....shudder.....sounds like work..best not to be tempted even 'gazing' on those 2015 paper wallets...I could be ....well....'exciting' grrrrrrr....

later

brad

if your btc never touched seg wit and your bch never touched dsv/ctor you are fine and will have both coins still after fork.  In your case your btc&BCH are pre-seg wit and pre- dsv/ctor so you are safe in both scenarios.

How to easily split if somehow the Wright chain get some value

https://github.com/markblundeberg/coinsplitter_checkdatasig/releases/tag/3.3.1CS

I don't know the name Mark Blundeberg. Is he a major Electron Cash submitter? I only ask, as a forked wallet would be an excellent way to steal the coins of unsuspecting users.

Note I am not trying to malign monsieur Blundeberg. I just don't know. And this is crypto. Stay wary, my friends.

Edit: Jonald seems to have some modicum of confidence in Mr Lundeberg. From https://electroncash.org/nov2018.html :

I, Jonald Fyookball, maintainer of Electron Cash, have checked the deterministic Windows build of Mark Lundeberg's coinsplitter and can confirm the following SHA256 checksum reproduces on my setup:

I have not, however, reviewed the full set of code differences from the official Electron Cash.

Though note the fact that the changes have not been thoroughly reviewed.

I seem to remember that a malfeasant fork of Electrum was the way many got scammed out of their Bitcoin Gold.

be concerned.  As I understand the fyookball guy is not able to be proven as a real person nor can he create a legit business to take electron cash to the next level of legitimacy...

handcash made statement today they are ready for the fork and are SV node based.
Electrum fork handling bug, which electron cash inherited.

I have my BCH on a Trezor, should I move them before 15 Nov to claim both forks?

trezor works with electron cash

when you are in electron cash with your trezor select this server (bch.electrumx.cash) which runs an SV node or another one from the list on electrons website https://electroncash.org/nov2018.html .  You can check which server runs what node software in the banner when you connect (console tab)

Are users coins safe while all these shitheads argue among themselves?

if you're in control of your private key and don't transact during all this weirdness you'll be fine.

Again...do I have to move my BCH from my BTC blockchains to its own BCH address to take advantage of the BCH coin fork?

or can the stuff all sit still piled on my 2015 BTC address untouched?

(likely I need a BCH address...just double checking)

brad

you should be able to do it later with no problem as I understand.
i read it won't be possible to claim the fork with ledger but i don't find info for trezor
does it more safe to deposit all our bch on binance for the fork?
electron cash wallet should recognize both node types and you can use your trezor with electron cash also
