81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: July 02, 2017, 04:23:32 PM
Bitcoin transaction fees are only fair if your transaction is big but if you will only send 0.01 and you need to pay for 0.001 for the fee then that's unfair. And sometimes even if you pay a highers fee the transaction still takes time and that is frustrating.
Right, compare with Paypal, you send a small amount, you pay a small fee. But in Bitcoin, it enables you to send a very big amount of money just need to pay a very small fee (compare with the payment size) so, Bitcoin is still usable when you make  big payments
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: July 02, 2017, 04:19:48 PM

I personally believe there is extremely small risk in investing into Bitcoin. The reason why is you will always own (as long as you manage your own private keys) the Bitcoin no matter what the USD value is, so it holding on the BTC while the prices recover. This has happened over and over again but the trend is always up.
It happened over and over again just because Bitcoin still has potential to grow up, when Bitcoin has no reason to grow, it will drop. If you keep invest in Bitcoin but do not care about USSD Price, you has no reason to continue to make invest in Bitcoin.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Governments Shutdown the Internet? on: July 01, 2017, 05:08:30 PM
It is not possible for the government to prevent Bitcoin transactions by censoring the internet. With VPNs and web-proxies being easily available, that will be unpractical. So the only option left is to block internet altogether. It is never going to happen, as there will be widespread anarchy and chaos.

Government can shut down anything they want to shut down. It has happened before and nothing happened. Why do some government countries stops access to some sites, its because they can do it.  A government in a country shut down the country's internet for hours because election is going on and they don't want citizens posting updates on the social media but the effect will be haphazard and that is one unique thing about bitcoin and why they cannot stop its penetration and reason why they are now looking for ways around it.
Not possible in any advanced country and the case for an election is temporal, on a prolonged basis, no government has what it takes to effectively shut a country out of the internet. The governments are actually helpless with Bitcoin - crytocurrency in general else long ago would they have taken it under. Something not quite obvious, is the fact that the governments  that tried to stand in the way of Bitcoin actually ended up promoters of Bitcoin because people become  inquisitive about Bitcoin and hardly let go after discovering it.
Yeah they can shut whatever they want down but they will lose more than they can earn by shutting down the Internet. Maybe they can not earn anything by that but they will lose more things like can not contact to anyone, it's a bit difficulty
84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people use Bitcoin? on: July 01, 2017, 04:50:20 PM
Bitcoin is the future of money, or so they say.

I would like to hear your opinions on Why should people use Bitcoin?

Do people realy need to use Bitcoin as it's not optimized for daily payments. People can not use Bitcoin to pay their bills online (they can but not with such a high fee like this). They should only use Bitcoin when you mae investments or do big bussinesses, it's more suitable.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We can't buy something with Bitcoin quickly on: July 01, 2017, 04:44:41 PM
For exemple, I go to a coffee shop, I buy a coffee, then I pay with Bitcoin, we have to wait for a confirmation, no? or the merchant will just trust me if I show my wallet?
How can we be sure that it's not a double spent transaction or something else?

They wont need that if they really know bitcoin.
It is not like Paypal that you could take it back. Once a transaction is in process it is good to go.
If only I got that business I would offer a bitcoin payment.
And as long you paid the right price it is good to go.
I dont even need your information because nothing bad would happen.
Hm? glerand, you said as if there were not any "Double spend" happened. If real shops do accept Bitcoin without any confirmation, some people will use that to do bad things. I think there should be some rules about Bitcoin fees, some minimum fees should be asked to make sure the payments will arrive.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die? on: June 30, 2017, 08:41:05 AM
How and why would the end of bitcoin (and any other cryptocurrency) occur? Value decrease? Legality issues? Different technology/ideas to supersede it?
Bitcoin will die (or disappear) when no one uses it. I think when some/a coin(s) can be used to pay for micro payments, it's the time when Bitcoin is dead. At that time, people will use that coin(s) instead of Bitcoin, when no one uses it, it will die itself
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin symbol accepted for Unicode on: June 30, 2017, 08:17:03 AM
Looks like we have been accepted for the next revision of Unicode! Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be news or a thread about this... Only a twitter announcement, but I bet this will be discussed a lot in the next few hours Smiley

What do you all think? I think this is great news!
I think it's great too. Althought this news will not affect anything to Bitcoin price but that's the signal that Bitcoin is notice by everyone all over the world so that it presents a good chance for Bitcoin to grow up in the future, we should be happy for that news Smiley
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cyber attackers asking for $300 in bitcoin on: June 29, 2017, 04:09:25 PM
A cyber attack that is spreading accross the world

https://www.axios.com/ransomware-attack-is-an-escalation-of-cyber-hacks-2449233920.html

Attackers ask victims to pay 300 dollar in bitcoin after their hard drive is encrypted.

In your opinion can it cause governments to make the usage of bitcoin illegal as they can't prosecute peoples using bitcoin for illegal purposes?

Hm... no? Protecting People from being attacked by viruses or malwares is developers' jobs, if the governments ban Bitcoin, the hackers will choose another way to steal users' money, I'm sure that they can not ban every single currency.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: June 29, 2017, 04:06:55 PM

What do you like best about bitcoin?
Decentralization, transparency or easier to move?
Or just it makes you look cool? Wink
I like Bitcoin because it's easy to use and no one can control my transactions.
Actually, No one knows that I am using Bitcoin so that I'm not using Bitcoin  just to be "cool" lol
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why BILL GATES do not USE Bitcoin? on: June 29, 2017, 03:56:02 PM
Hello,
I just want to know why Bill Gates do not invest some money in Bitcoin, he will be a very big contributor to the crypto world, and will also be very respected, he will also be able to become more rich (or less).
But what is the reason why he do not invest funds in cryptocurrencies?
He already had his jobs to do, he needed to take focus in his jobs so that he could make a lot of money too, he didn't even need to invest in Bitcoin as he had a lot of real project to make investment in.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: June 29, 2017, 03:53:01 PM
What are the chances of living in a world with no actual money ?  Shocked
Yes but not in the near future. Real cash will disappear as soon as e-currencies become international currencies, everything can be paid with e-currencies with no fee or small fees so that it's suitable to pay for daily life so that everyone will usee-currencies instead of real cash, they will not need real money anymore.

You are helping scammers, so you are a scammer if not tell me the reason legal people can not use real id to open and verify it!

Stop your story please
OK, what if people need to receive a big amount of money through Paypal that from US? It's not simple, users from countries out of USA do not have a legal US SSN so that they need this service. So that this service is not for people who come from US but from other countries.
