So are these pools coming along now?
Many of them up and running yet? Or just some of the coins? Or all? Or none?

Hi. Unfortuantely I could not get it running, as the RAM requirements were too high for the server that I used. I am hopefully getting a GPU in a few weeks, so I will then be able to afford a better server by mining.

If you are using the same GPU to mine both SHA and scrypt at the same time then the performance will be cut in half from the GPU. It will use half it's resources for one mining and the other half to the other type. You wont be able to get max numbers mining both at the same time only when mining one at a time. A nice alternative would be mining BTC on some pools that also mine NMC, you're mining two coins at the same time with no performance hits.
But how come folding only has a small effect on speed? I'm not an expert on Folding@home, but I know mining uses stream processors. It's possible that folding uses a different part of your GPU to do it's work. Thanks

This would be very useful for mobile users

Any chance of adding bitbar?
He need an exchange with API to do that. Can't he give estimated BTB/month at least?

I would reccomend mining an scrypt coin, also your cpu does not need to be fast, nor do you need so much ram

Well, I mean, in a way. I've been lurking this forum for a long, long time and never got around to actually making an account. Before you start wondering, yes, I actually read the post that said READ ME in big letters.
What is going on in this forum? Coins? Mining? If I make a coin called PumpAndDumpCoin, would people still buy it or is that, you know, making it too obvious?
No, people will mine it ...

Hey, pretty new to all this, but it seems like people are talking about mining coins other than BTC, and mining BTC is really difficult. Any suggestions? What should I look for to start mining? Thanks!
Also look at dustcoin.com

want to know whether this is possible
I am hoping to have a gpu within 2 weeks. Will test it then.

Probably change the url in Miner.java

If it is possible how big is the performance hit? I saw a thread on bitcointalk which says that running folding@home and mining only has a small effect on mining performance.

can someone explain how you read the profit on this? I am not understanding. At first I thought the last column was going to show you the profit made.
It shows how much btc you will have at the end. If the number is larger than 1 then you will profit
