man, everybody cant b happy P
im miner and i bether have some place to sell with little profit then big profit and 0 ways how to sell P
There is already an exchange you can sell your XCN for low profit - bter. That's the kind of profit you're looking at if Poloniex opens up XCN trading again so that all the miners will start mining XCN. Or you could just wait for btc38 to open up their wallet again and earn a lot more. As a miner you should know that if Poloniex opens its doors for XCN again, everyone who is currently mining at zpool, yiimp and similar will start mining XCN - which will bring the difficulty up with about 100x and bring down the profit with almost as much, even if the price per XCN would slightly increase.

If the coin is listed on 'popular' trading platforms, like bittrex or poloniex, this would pump the price a lot I guess
It will also decrease the profit for miners since it'll result in more people mining. Unless the price would shoot through the roof, but then again that would only be temporary, since that would result in more miners. Pretty much what happened to all other coins that are available on big western exchanges. It's great for traders, it's bad for miners looking to profit.

service staff 小周: Hello, if XCN's wallet has been upgraded, we will follow up as soon as possible. Please wait patiently for the repair of your wallet, thank you for your information and wish you a happy life.

latest response from btc38 CS

According to I understand that answer, is that they managed to update the wallet, but they lack proofs, and they will put it online
More like if it's true that there's a new version available, they will look into it as soon as possible.

They've known about the new wallet for a while (both pallas and several users have told them countless times). I'm sure they need time to properly test the new version properly before putting it live, but I doubt they've even started.

Thanks for the info!  any problems w/d btc from btc38?
It's been almost a month since I withdrew BTC from btc38 since their XCN wallet has been down for almost four weeks now. However, I had no issues withdrawing BTC from btc38 when I tried. No verification needed.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCN] Cryptonite - NEW Thread! | 1st mini-blockchain coin | BOUNTIES! on: August 22, 2017, 12:22:11 AM
i just want to know if anyone has problem with xcn deposit or w/d  at bter..
I haven't transferred XCN to BTER recently since their price for XCN is less than half of BTC38. However, I did it once (before I knew about BTC38) and it worked fine back then. I had to trade to BTC and then ETH though, because I couldn't withdraw BTC (even after accepted verification).

By using BTER you don't "have to mess" with CNY, but you do "have to mess" with other currencies instead. Same amount of conversions but less than half of the profit.

"we will be in its wallet after the completion of the first time the opening of the lifting function"
What the hell does that mean!?

It's super hard to know what the hell btc38 actually means. When asked if they had any update on the XCN situation now when they've been sent a new wallet that supposedly should fix their problem they said this:

Quote
Hello, xcn due to block network problems, has been suspended to mention. Please also be patient

I wish they could hire at least a single person that don't have to use Google translate to respond to their non-Chinese customers.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Setting up p2pool local for Solo mining on: August 20, 2017, 09:48:27 PM
Ah, ok. So i open a fully syncronised wallet and use this As "Server"?
Basically yeah. You'll have to edit its config file to suit your needs as well, but you'll have to look that up yourself.

Edit: Just a friendly reminder that if you're going to solo mine, you'll have to have a lot of hash rate. Make sure you do and that it's worth it over using other pools.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Setting up p2pool local for Solo mining on: August 20, 2017, 09:42:28 PM
Why not just mine directly to your wallet? No need to set up a pool if you're just gonna use it to solo mine anyway.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How much do you pay per kw and where are you from? :s on: August 20, 2017, 02:06:25 AM
but since the mining will be changed in few months since eth switch to pos
"In a few months" has been said for close to a year now.

I'm playing $0.12 and it's absolutely worth it.

has anyone been using the webwallet?
I've only tested sending 200 XCN to and from it. It worked just fine for that, but I haven't tried anything more than that.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCN] Cryptonite - NEW Thread! | 1st mini-blockchain coin | BOUNTIES! on: August 18, 2017, 03:36:04 PM
nu1mlock: do you have a wallet in each rig, or rigs connect to just 1 wallet?
I have one wallet per rig. I've also set up my bat files so that they would start mining to each others wallets in case one would crash. Also have another backup wallet just in case.

BTC38 has just been notified of the new wallet!
Thanks everybody for helping!
Great news! I'm hoping the new version will solve their problems. But I'm assuming that the people responsible for the wallets aren't working weekends?

Palgin just provided new windows binaries with added seednodes and upnp support, please test!

https://github.com/palginpav/Cryptonite/releases/tag/0.1.3.0-seeds

EDIT: I just created a release on the main git repo, so btc38 will more likely trust it:

https://github.com/pallas1/Cryptonite/releases

About the bounty for him, I think it could be 50,000 XCN, what do you guys think?
I just updated my rigs with the wallet from palgin. It's the same one as the one on the main git though, correct? I don't need to do it all again specifically from your repo?

50k seems absolutely fair to me.

well, this very interesting. Net hashrate is 14.6 gh/s. block diff is 800k - 840k (some times 900k). I have 12gtx1060 (1 card is out ATM). and 1 gtx 1070. I can mine on pool ~2350 - 2550 coins. I try to solo mine with old and new wallet`s. but for 24hours I not found any blocks! by current diff need to have 20 - 25 1080ti or more for profitable solo mining. but pool mining more profitable, anyway!
coin have dump by all exchanges, btc38 include. if we compare sigt and xcn, I go mine sigt ($25 from sigt vs $15 from xcn). so, where is "very profitable"? I realy don`t understand, sometimes I read post`s from some coins about very profitable solo  mining, I go to try, but no blocks. why peoples say about it? only new coin can have big profit from solo mine, but only few time. xcn is old coin, big net hr, big diff. where is big profit from solo?
Well, I have 36x GTX 1080 Ti's and my own rigs and wallets are more stable than Suprnova's pool (at least during the time where it was constantly going up and down). I get the same amount of coins every day regardless if I use a pool or solo mine. But I agree, if you have less cards, it might feel more profitable to use a pool. While the profitability is the same, you get coins faster in a pool (although less coins more often). And of course, there's the advantage of not having to set anything up yourself if you just use a pool.

If you mined for 24 hours with 12x 1060's without finding a single block, you were either extremely unlucky or had configured something wrong.

I've added some seed nodes to the wallet. Initial sync will be more reliable and faster.
if palgin can do the last windows compile with this little modification, then I will quickly notify btc38 and the other exchanges/pools.
I'm sure palgin will come to the rescue soon! Although it should be easy and quick for btc38 to deploy the new wallet, I'm having my doubts as to how quickly they will.

solo mining not profitable. very high diff.
It's very profitable for me, thank you very much.

how do you get such hich power usage %?? even if i left AB at 100%, miner drops to 60%, which yields almost 15Mh/s on a 1070Aorus.

384.94 drivers.. but i get the same with other versions, across all rigs.

do we have to set environmental variables for GPU with ccminer?
I don't know, I haven't done anything specific. I'm using sp_'s miner, I'm using GTX 1080 Ti's and I'm solo mining. Also using 382.53 driver. That's it.

It's been online for over 6 hours (probably more but that's about when I got home).

Of course: as I said many times, faster block accept would bring less orphans ;-)
And from a miner standpoint, this is the difference when solo mining comparing the old and new wallets:

The web wallet seems to work fine as intended. Granted, I've only sent 200 coins to and from the wallet, but it works for that.

I would like to suggest to pallas that the bounty for a web wallet should be increased if the source code was provided to you (or open sourced). That way, in case this wallet would go down, it'd be much easier to get a new one up and running. Just a suggestion though, which I believe could help make sure that a proper web wallet is always available - or be used by anyone that wants to.

The sources are already on the original github.
Oh, well in that case - great! Smiley
