Hi, everyone! I haven't seen you guys in a while, because I was in a bit of Christmas-related parties and other shit like that. Anyway, I just thought of another coin idea: what if you mined a coin by playing a Tetris clone?
Imagine if a Tetris clone was the next cryptocurrency wallet, only it's called Bitris (TRIS) instead of Tetris for copyright reasons. You would be earning a native currency other than Bitcoin just by playing a video game. This is what it would really come down to:
Drop = 0.00000001 TRIS per line length Single = 0.00000100 TRIS Double = 0.00001000 TRIS Triple = 0.00010000 TRIS Tetris = 0.00100000 TRIS Game Over = Doubles your TRIS

On my flash drive, actually. The purpose of this is to plug in the flash drive whenever you are asked for your password. And whenever you create a new account, a new 1000-character key is generated for each account and saved on the drive. This idea is only in concept stage.

Apparently Twitter and Facebook do, and so do Microsoft.

Howdy, Bitcoiners!
I just thought of a wonderful idea to change how we sign up for online accounts.
Here's the problem with today's online account signups, especially for places like Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, Google, etc:
First Name Last Name Email Password Address 1 Address 2 Town/City State/Zip Country Phone State ID Number Social Security Number Bank Account
This is what I should be filling out:
Bitcoin Address Complicated Password
Here's what I'm getting at here: I don't like my personal information online, and I already have too many online accounts to keep in track of. If every website (obviously Facebook would see this as a problem) relied on Bitcoin addresses to sign up for accounts, such as Spotify, Hulu, that type of thing...we would all be anonymous on the web, and decentralized when it comes to online accounts, whether the online accounts are centralized or not.
Think of your Bitcoin address as an anonymous OpenID.

1. I'll upload the config right after I write this reply. 2. In terms of a store, until there is a store, this coin can be used to trade with other people. So say if someone you know owns a copy of a record you want that he/she doesn't anymore, and you don't have a record that he/she likes; you can trade a Vinyl Voucher for his/her record, and he can use that Vinyl Voucher to trade with someone else. 3. As far as the website goes, I'll have to figure that out, through freelance or something. I don't really know how to program code, as I only used the config generator on Forknote.net.

What's up, dude? Hey, this would make a great GameStop credit alternative, eh?
|
|
|
I sincerely apologize for making this look confusing and will try to summarize it below.
What I forgot to explain is that if you know a friend who has a video game he does not want anymore, you trade a video game voucher for that video game. If you don't want any of your video games, you trade them for VGVs that you can then trade with someone else, rather than trading one video game for another and risking the guy saying no to the game you offer just because he isn't interested. This coin is meant to fill a void.

ForkU$D ForkUSD is a much better alternative to the now defunct ByteUSD, as it is just simply a config file to use with ForkNote, instead of a (unintended) Linux-only standalone binary. What if the US Dollar was a CryptoNote coin, that increases value over time upon deflation and block reward decrease? What if the US Dollar could be easy to mine by any average computer? What if the US Dollar was decentralized, as it was meant to be, for a country that is meant to be free? That was what the original ByteUSD was aiming to accomplish. Sadly, it is gone, because of some mess-ups in the Blockchain due to how I misconfigured the binary. But I have ressurected the idea again, with ForkUSD. seed-node=24.46.180.129:42140 EMISSION_SPEED_FACTOR=18 DIFFICULTY_TARGET=120 CRYPTONOTE_DISPLAY_DECIMAL_POINT=2 MONEY_SUPPLY=18446744073709551615 GENESIS_BLOCK_REWARD=0 DEFAULT_DUST_THRESHOLD=1000000 MINIMUM_FEE=1000000 CRYPTONOTE_MINED_MONEY_UNLOCK_WINDOW=10 CRYPTONOTE_BLOCK_GRANTED_FULL_REWARD_ZONE=100000 CRYPTONOTE_PUBLIC_ADDRESS_BASE58_PREFIX=86 p2p-bind-port=42140 rpc-bind-port=42141 BYTECOIN_NETWORK=4cc045d7-0da2-e915-4128-9c5a01b136f8 CRYPTONOTE_NAME=$ GENESIS_COINBASE_TX_HEX=010a01ff0001ffffffffffff0f029b2e4c0281c0b02e7c53291a94d1d0cbff8883f8024f5142ee494ffbbd0880712101f850f98809c2435c4f7529c22551f0a230633ce92ac7de0594fee341cea1059d MAX_BLOCK_SIZE_INITIAL=100000 UPGRADE_HEIGHT_V2=1 UPGRADE_HEIGHT_V3=2

I can see where you're coming from. I'll tell you what...I'll stop running the nodes and create something better.
|

The point is the world is better off having separate currencies for separate things. That way no one would spend money they should be buying food or rent with on video games.

Yep. I'd be willing to sell my old copy of Super Mario Bros 3 for a Video Game Voucher and use it on a copy of Super Mario Maker for 3DS. UPDATE: I have two CDs I don't want anymore, one by Incubus, another a compilation CD, totaling up to two vinyl vouchers. UPDATE#2: I also created FoodNote, a SNAP/EBT alternative.
|
|
|
Currently as of right now, the best way to start is to buy a movie from a friend who doesn't want that movie anymore and who is willing to accept this Voucher. Same thing with Vinyl and Video Game vouchers. UPDATE: For example, I have a friend who owns this WWE DVD that I want so bad, but I cannot find it at a store as of right now. He doesn't play it as often. If he was willing to accept Movie Vouchers, I would've given him one in order to get that DVD.

MOVIE VOUCHERS Probably the last ForkNote config file I'll post before I take a break from developing currencies for specific things. Movie Vouchers are pegged to DVDs, Blu-Ray, VHS and digital movies and TV shows. So if you wanted to buy a Blu-Ray copy of The Lord of The Rings or Star Wars, instead of paying $39.99, you pay 1 Movie Voucher. If you get a block reward of 20,000 Movie Vouchers, you are rich enough to buy 20,000 movies or TV episodes. (Or 20,000 copies of the same movie.) +--•• Video Game Vouchers Similar to my other two ForkNote coins, FoodNote and Vinyl Vouchers, this coin is backed by boxed copies (and digital downloads) of video games. So if you get a block reward of 20,000 Video Game Vouchers, you'll have enough to buy 20,000 Video Games, and you'll never be bored again! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Below is the ForkNote config: seed-node=24.46.180.129:16500 EMISSION_SPEED_FACTOR=18 DIFFICULTY_TARGET=120 CRYPTONOTE_DISPLAY_DECIMAL_POINT=12 MONEY_SUPPLY=18446744073709551615 GENESIS_BLOCK_REWARD=0 DEFAULT_DUST_THRESHOLD=1000000 MINIMUM_FEE=1000000 CRYPTONOTE_MINED_MONEY_UNLOCK_WINDOW=10 CRYPTONOTE_BLOCK_GRANTED_FULL_REWARD_ZONE=100000 CRYPTONOTE_PUBLIC_ADDRESS_BASE58_PREFIX=86 p2p-bind-port=16500 rpc-bind-port=16501 BYTECOIN_NETWORK=c4f92141-d357-398e-ab16-4c225ff66184 CRYPTONOTE_NAME=Video Game Voucher GENESIS_COINBASE_TX_HEX=010a01ff0001ffffffffffff0f029b2e4c0281c0b02e7c53291a94d1d0cbff8883f8024f5142ee494ffbbd08807121019edf529a6153d8ffbff553308b1a4f34bfca876d2bbb43bbd92fd36facc97f0e MAX_BLOCK_SIZE_INITIAL=100000 UPGRADE_HEIGHT_V2=1 UPGRADE_HEIGHT_V3=2 As a reminder, this is not meant to be traded with other currency, especially fiat.

FoodNote This ForkNote config file is for a currency targeted towards the hungry in this world who need food in their belly and just aren't getting enough, as this is a huge concern in this world that I develop this to battle against. FoodNote is the ForkNote replacement to EBT/SNAP, only that you can feel free to also use it for prepared food and restaurants, as this is a decentralized currency. Anyone can set up a terminal using the walletd file in the ForkNote folder. seed-node=24.46.180.129:35435 EMISSION_SPEED_FACTOR=18 DIFFICULTY_TARGET=120 CRYPTONOTE_DISPLAY_DECIMAL_POINT=2 MONEY_SUPPLY=18446744073709551615 GENESIS_BLOCK_REWARD=0 DEFAULT_DUST_THRESHOLD=1000000 MINIMUM_FEE=1000000 CRYPTONOTE_MINED_MONEY_UNLOCK_WINDOW=10 CRYPTONOTE_BLOCK_GRANTED_FULL_REWARD_ZONE=100000 CRYPTONOTE_PUBLIC_ADDRESS_BASE58_PREFIX=186 p2p-bind-port=35435 rpc-bind-port=35436 BYTECOIN_NETWORK=fbc43c60-2478-41bc-bef0-faf9ba8f1416 CRYPTONOTE_NAME=FoodNote GENESIS_COINBASE_TX_HEX=010a01ff0001ffffffffffff0f029b2e4c0281c0b02e7c53291a94d1d0cbff8883f8024f5142ee494ffbbd0880712101d65633f2209907527a44b33f3f5facde8b6621de0deaf81336d4fe2d684704a2 MAX_BLOCK_SIZE_INITIAL=100000 UPGRADE_HEIGHT_V2=1 UPGRADE_HEIGHT_V3=2 Once nodes start rolling, and the currency is accepted worldwide, no one will be hungry ever again ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
