Good idea Vod. This also applies to job seekers. If you're looking for work with say a casino, it is especially important to ask for insurance papers. I was offered a project in which I had to build gambling software. I asked about registering the business, and my partner wanted to just host the site on an offshore server. He abandoned the project, leaving me with the code. If I ever decide to host it, I shoul.d partner with someone who is more legit.

Sorry for your loss but I don't understand why you continued to deal with and trust him even after another user here had already made a scam accusation against him. @Developerx11 seems to be so shady, I have read a couple of threads against him and he seems to be a real pain to both his customers and those that seek his services.
He said his Telegram was lost and he gave me his discord. I wanted to see for myself if he was a scammer or not. |

Can you explain in a little more detail what exactly did you agree to do and did you actually do it? Your OP makes it sound like you failed. Also how do you know the person in the chat screenshot is Developerx11? His excuse in the other thread was that there was an impersonator so I hope you made it certain there is no impersonator in this case.
I agreed to do two things: compile a Linux wallet and install a gambling script on his client's server. I tried to compile the wallet but I got a bunch of error messages. He said he would pay me BTC0.01 for the attempt (will upload chat log soon). What I did do successfully was install a gambling script on his client's VPS. I uploaded the script and he said the client stopped responding after I did so. I never received the promised payment. I know it is actually him because I was chatting with him on Discord because he sent me his handle to me via PM, and Discord doesn't use cell phone numbers the same way Telegram does. |

What happened: I saw another scam accusation against Develperx11 taking money upfront and not delivering projects. He said he worked 20 hours a day and was very busy. He offered me a job and I attempted to compile a wallet and failed (I told him he didn't have to pay me for it). I also installed a web script and he said the client stopped responding when i successfully installed the script. Well, some do afford it. And for the one playing only the amounts he affords it's a great way to spend time, you can't deny it. Some spend tiny amounts (sometimes from faucets or received from winners) hoping for the big hit. Most of what those spend is time. You have to comprehend that one can wager even 1 satoshi, much less than at a traditional casino. Of course, there are also addicts. Those are the ones with a big problem. And those need our attention, understanding and, most of all, help (of course, not with more money to gamble). But how many? I don't know... I hope not that many... 1 satoshi is still money however. Remember that saying "a satoshi saved is a satoshi earned". I understand that most crypto investors are taking a risk, but remember crypto is the way of the future. I have posted in this section a few times before criticizing gambling and like before, I was criticized for the sig I'm wearing. I already said this once, but it seems everyone missed it so I will say it again.
I joined the signature campaign because it was the only campaign available.
It just goes to show how truly this forum is addicted to gambling. I see so many advertisements for casinos here, every second or third programming job I get is for a casino and so forth.
I only associate myself with casinos here because they are so rampant on this forum.
To be honest, I haven't read every single post in this section, but from what I have seen, people seem to love gambling, even if they loose.

I would not put drugs and gambling on the same page. Once you are a drug addict you are harming your body and mind. You are taking substance but a gambling addict is harming his mind. The physical affect is less here. You can not take drug just for fun but you can gamble for fun. Anyway, there will be many more difference. Point is gambling addict and drug addict is not the same in my eyes. My point is that they are both addictions and they both lead to the addict never having any money. So many people here are broke because they waste their money. Same with drug addicts. There is research out there to suggest that pathological gamblers' brains are wired the same way a drug addict's mind is wired. They want to experience an increase in dopamine. In both instances, it's better to quit/. |

I used to have a marijuana and alcohol problem. I remember earning $USD50 worth of bitcoin for a programming job I did. The price was $250. I remember selling my bitcoins right away because I wanted to buy beer and weed. Not only do you actually have to buy bitcoin, but you have to be good with your money; you have to not have any problems spending your money on junk/addictions, including gambling.
There is no such thing as a "get rich quick" scheme. The simplest and most effective way to get rich is to work a Bitcoin job (for your investments) and working at say a temp agency or other low-level job. This way, you have an income of both crypto and fiat currencies and you simply cannot spend any of your money on addictions, such as gambling, cigarettes, alcohol or drugs. drug/gambling addicts never have any money anyway.
Everything in moderation is okay, but addiction will lead you to bankruptcy like it did in my case.

Well, Developerx11 stopped responding to me in Discord I told him he doesn't have to pay me for the compiling job since I failed but I did successfully install that script. It's a bit suspicious that he has stopped responding to me all together. He says the client stopped responding when I finished.WIll post chat logs later.

Not everyone in the world uses crypto and this is still a new thing so the value is expensive. For its own use, crypto is still a valuable investment asset and is still a pro-contra in countries that have not been able to receive it.
Bitcoin is a lot like the internet when it first started: nobody knew anything about it and nobody thought it would have any use. Today, the internet is everywhere and is an essential part of today's economy. Bitcoin is the same way: nobody understands it now but 30 years from now everybody will be using it. |

I have never seen any place, real life or online, embrace gambling as much as this forum has. A little bit of gambling is okay but when you do it with the hope of making money it becomes a problem. The house ALWAYS wins. I see so many people here throw their money away at these online casinos.
I just banned myself from the casino IRL yesterday after losing $40 at Blackjack. I got 18, and the dealer got 20. See? It doesn't matter how good you are at the game, the odds are always stacked against you.
If this forum were embracing drug addiction, don't you think it wouldn't look as good?
