The faucets and PTC are not really getting you a great amount of Bitcoins. Try buying them or invest in altcoins.

You can just install the Standalone version right? It's the same as windows Bitcoin core download, also used for Standalone.

Theres an option to export your private key from Blockchain.info wallet, try it.

I also recommend Authy to use, seems pretty safe and easy to use.

If you sent them to an unknown address they are pretty much gone.

Or just use the hardware wallet Trezor?
