81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: January 13, 2020, 03:50:55 AM
You are using the platform of this project, right?

2 minutes is not that bad for conversion but why taking that long? Since it is not instant, is it also done like trading that you are going to make your price and then wait for somebody on the other end to buy it?
Do you see 12 confirmations for that smooth transaction?

2 minutes is much faster than what you will have to wait if you use bitcoin to move your funds. I think the required confirmations on the GOLD platform is for security reasons. The more confirmations required, the more secure your transactions are and the lower odds to see your transactions will be reversed by shady attacks on the network. It think 2 minutes is acceptable waiting period.

I am just a little curious because we're talking here of conversion and not moving funds. I mean moving Bitcoin is definitely going to take more than a couple of minutes but not when we are converting in whatever platform we use. In fact, conversion in other platforms such as exchanges could take an instant unless you would first make a more or less competitive sell order and wait for it to be filled.

So again, is it also done like trading that you are going to make your price and then wait for somebody on the other end to buy it?

I dont think thats how it works because the digital gold marketplace was said to be instantly executed exchange procedure of buying and sell digital gold for BTC/ETH or vice versa. In other to achieve constant buy/sell order the project teams will have to do some buy back of either digital token, BTC or ETH.

Thanks for this clarification. So the confirmation process is taking place within the platform itself and not outside or a blockchain confirmation. And for the exchanges to be instantaneous- well, 2 minutes more or less- the platform itself will have to get directly involved in the buying and selling. Clear enough.
82  Economy / Economics / Re: Ok. Number of Bitcoin transaction increased double. Expect price increasing? on: January 13, 2020, 03:26:23 AM
So i heard that the number of Bitcoin transaction increased double recently.

which means i can expect price increasing near future right?

The rising of Bitcoin transaction is expected in the long run. Despite short-term fluctuations, it is rising in the bigger picture.

The price is a different story. The number of transactions is not directly correlated to the price such that an increase in transactions is not necessarily equal to an increase of price.

Btw, i recently got airdrop token, which is exchange token, BPX?

Do you guys think that this kind of token may have a good value or nothing?

I don't know about that token. Do a research about it and find out.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Qatar Bans CryptoCurrency on: January 13, 2020, 02:41:12 AM
maybe for now, but it is not the end of the line for them =

they will change their position on this matter when more and more countries esp first/second world countries are openly supporting crypto where most of them already are supporting crypto in terms of its legalities...

Is this something that covers all citizens? I think this ban was somewhat similar to the previous ban in china which speaks of institutions not allowed to facilitate cryptocurrencies. This one speaks of firms. If this is the case, individual persons in Qatar can still access and even transact using crypto for as long as it involves P2P transactions or cross-border deals.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Central bank coins vs crypto space coins on: January 12, 2020, 03:05:00 AM
I've been following the trend news of central banks creating their own digital currencies but a question have since then troubling my mind.

1. These new Central Bank coins are they going to be stable coins or not?

They are going to be stablecoins most likely.

Quote
2. What will happen if they are not stable coins? If holding them will be profitable many will leave crypto space and focus on these new coins?

If they are not stablecoins, the central bank, the monetary policy makers, the economists, and the whole government itself would have a very hard time planning what happens to their economy next. That is why it is most likely a stable coin.

Quote
3. Maybe people will just use them as a plus since it's from the government?

Many people will find it easier to spend and accept because it is under the government.

Quote
4. Will regulations still come after this? I think other coins will be neglected and regulations will only be for coins from government?

Regulations will always be there in all aspects.

Another smooth transaction in the Digital Gold Marketplace.

As you can see on the screen it takes only two minutes to exchange the GOLD token to Ethereum.

Since it is not instant, is it also done like trading that you are going to make your price and then wait for somebody on the other end to buy it?
To me it looks like somebody already put his price on buy order, so that make the process quick and not require someone to buy it first. If it takes only 2 minutes, trust me it won't be felt, people won't complain with such a short time.

Make no mistake, I am not complaining. I am inquiring. I want to be enlightened.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Under supervision, do you think that anonymous coins have a future? on: January 12, 2020, 02:24:20 AM
Hello everyone and Merry Christmas! According to the current situation, cryptocurrencies are about to be brought under government supervision. Do you think that anonymous coins have a future in this case? How should we choose, thank you for your proposal
But how exactly governments are going to regulate those coins? It is obvious that if you buy those coins in an exchange you are going to need to go through know your customer policies, but then people are just going to buy those coins with cash making face to face trades, and at that point it will be impossible to identify what they do with their coins, so in my opinion if there is one type of coin that has a future and that will never disappear are the coins that specialize themselves in giving anonymity to their users.

Crypto is really hard to regulate. There are always ways to get away from the monitoring and regulatory policies. P2P transaction is one. There are also decentralized exchanges where one can buy or trade their coins. There are also mixers to cut the tracks of a certain coin.

88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Storing crypto on an implant? on: January 11, 2020, 03:13:40 AM
This sounds a weird idea. But very possible in the far future. If I were to store my crypto on an implant, it must be for long term HODLing and safekeeping only, and a secret most of all. I would not be paying using that. It might catch the attention of some bad people and I will be put in an unexpected risk. It is still a wallet after all. That might only result to a worse robbery because there will be injuries if ever the robbers would take that implant from you forcibly.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Is SardineCoin Real? The Sardines Are, At Least hehehe on: January 11, 2020, 02:53:18 AM
I have also read this news and it all appears very real. And why not? If we are converting companies focusing on garments, medical data, drugs, houses, collections, and thousands more, why not include the sardine industry?

Apart from the sardinecoin market might be flooded with overpriced sardines, each token is backed by 1 can of sardines, yes why not hehehe.

Also, who audits and makes it certain that there are real sardines in those cans? Is each token labeled for a certain can?

Well, if there is Trumpcoin, Biebercoin, Boobscoin, and what have you, why should we be dumbfounded on Sardinecoin? At least it has tokenomics. Wink

If this company is legally registered, then they are definitely subject to auditing policies.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SwissBorg | The Blockchain Era of Swiss Wealth Management on: January 11, 2020, 02:34:30 AM
snip

What I wish to see is the rising price of CHSB as a reflection that all these developments and progress about SwisBorg is really supported and felt by everyone who is hodling CSHB.
Since the beginning of this year the CHSB token price has begun to improve, but the price increase stopped at $ 0.02 USD, and this is still far from the ICO price. I hope this year is a good year for CHSB token holders.

It is hard to say what future will be of this project because it is still painful experience for all investors there is no partnerships or adoption happened in the meantime. The team is active but their efforts are not fruitful for the project so they have to adopt the aggressive approach to make this project appealing and attractive.

They are actually celebrating milestones in terms of users of their product but I can see that the price is still low. Is there very little demand on the token?

In terms of team activity, they are indeed very active. They are always coming with updates.

It seems the entry of the year 2020 is also bringing some movements in volume and price for CHSB, though. I just hope this will be sustained.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin still or altcoins on: January 11, 2020, 02:14:14 AM
Putting all my money on bitcoin is more smarter than going for altcoins? I think bitcoin will always surge even if it loses value today, i never think twice about this anymore because in the past if i never switched to altcoin i would have be in big profit today, what do you guys think about my plan? Stupid or 👍

While I am also bullish on Bitcoin not just in the year 2020 but also beyond, I think it is better not to put your eggs in one basket. Bitcoin is the best but that does not mean that it does not undergo bearish days. And when the bearish days come, more often than not, the altcoins will soar. So try to diversify your portfolio to Bitcoin and a few top altcoins.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Other than bitcoin is it worth to invest in Ripple? on: January 10, 2020, 03:51:27 AM
FXStreet & Express.co.uk Ripple Price Prediction These websites give a moderate prediction saying that XRP has potential and may reach $3-$5 by the end of 2020. This is an assumption based on the fact that Ripple is best Investment opportunity of 2020.

https://coinpedia.org/information/xrp-ripple-price-prediction-2019/

Let me know your point of view on this?

If you are asking me using the question in the title, I would say yes of course. Ripple is one altcoin that is trusted by so many in the crypto community. It has achieved so many things, created so many partnerships, etc. But if you are going to consider the possibility that XRP will reach $3-$5 as a reason for you to invest on it, then don't invest. It is not going to reach even $2 within this year.

i upvote your opinion, it is true that XRP is still best on reaching many opportunities with many partnerships. But it lacks an effect on its price ( based on 2018 - 2019 performance ).
But IF ( big if ) BTC keeps bullish at this year (2020) soon every altcoin which traded by many people can get their piece of pie which naturally will be good for all investors. As per i have seen at these early days of this month ( January 2020 ) the price of alts vs fiat still on same effect as BTC. Hopefully it not changing for a while since i trading on alts too.

Even if BTC will remain bullish whole year round and will even triple its price, which is possible, I still highly doubt that XRP will reach $3-$5. XRP reaching $2 is already x10 in its current price. So how is it possible for $3-$5 dollars per XRP to be reached within the year?

It is funny initiating a discussion in here. Everyone who talks is a newbie and has a red trust.

This should be stopped by the devs or whoever is assigned by Cryptoknowmics on this forum. This makes the project a scam in the eyes of many other users and even potential investors.

You can become great Icobench competitor but at first you have to make ratings/reviews for the upcoming ICO projects.
Cryptoknomics trying to become all-in-one solution for everyone but is losing its identity in these attempts.

And now it is being tagged untrustworthy because of dirty tactics used in promoting their project. Kind of hard to recover in this particular space at least.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Pyramid Schemes are still Amongst Us on: January 09, 2020, 03:52:41 AM
This is new year and i expect newbies to get smarter, be careful of new projects that are nothing but pyramid schemes, Multilevel marketing schemes or pyramid schemes may likewise be utilized to swindle crypto investors. Such new companies guarantee enormous degrees of profitability inside a brief period, and regularly convey different individuals to rope in new members. When the part list gets generous and the fraudsters get a sizeable store, they evaporate, leaving all investors seething. The most ideal approach to distinguish such schemes is to take a gander at the project's experience. Such projects will in general evade any perceived organizations or bureaus and have next to no undeniable foundation data, be very careful and limit your losses this new year, all the best.

They will not be gone easily because there is still money in what they are doing. For as long as there is still something to gain, they will not easily stop. There are still people who have not yet done good research and familiarization of cryptocurrency that is why there are still victims until now. And there are still greedy individuals who easily fall on too good to be true offers that is why the scams are still thriving until now.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Binance USDT pairs to avoid trading? on: January 09, 2020, 03:33:16 AM
Hi, sorry if this is a blatant repeat but I'm after some up to date info on this topic.

What are some of the red flags you'd look out for when aiming to avoid trades you could potentially get stuck in on the Binance USDT market?

A specific minimum 24h volume on that coin i.e. $100k? Basically how much liquidity do you look for to feel confident...

Are there coins that are notoriously tricky to trade for other reasons perhaps?

I'd appreciate any tips on this. Thanks.

Trading in general is really tricky. That is why I do not trade most of the time. I gave up doing day trades because it is too tricky you will end up more confused rather then be enlightened after trading more time than before. I am now waiting for the large swings to make some orders.

$100k at the minimum is already good enough. It will be enough to cover your orders. Just stick to a little gain. Do not aim too much. That is a nice approach to day trading.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Altcoins Won't Moon Can't I Just Short the Hell Outta Them??? on: January 09, 2020, 03:11:29 AM
Just wait for the altseason to start, there will be  big profit to those who continue to hodl altcoins. Check your altcoins if they are for long term or not, all those for long term hodl them and the rest sell them while there is a chance.

This is one thing to remember. If the altcoins you are hodling are shitcoins then you should not even think of the possibility that they will moon. Dump them as early as possible. Waiting for them to moon is probably going to take you a lifetime. So make sure first that the altcoins you are hodling are those that will really rally by the time the bulls are coming.
