I updated some connection info over here: http://cnc.dontmine.me/gettingstartedhttp://cnc.dontmine.me/misc/cgminer.txtI think this is best right now, the lb.izserv.com forwarders don't seem to be holding up well. And if you are connected to the LP on cnc.dontmine.me:8080 and the stratum comes online on the izserv you'll get stratum notifications of new blocks which will keep the stales low.

All these URL's go to the same place, they're just proxies. All the shares go to the same place, it is the same actual stratum or LP server.
The preferred IP is going to be minecnc.dontmine.me for both stratum and LP, but it can only survive small DDoS attacks before it gets null routed.
The first proxy service is through lb.izserv.com , how has that worked for people? I haven't been able to use it myself so I don't know (my miner is out of action right now).
The second proxy service is through cloudflare, but its longpoll/http only. It's probably the most reliable alternative, but I'm not sure how well it would stand up to a direct attack. It will also block some IP's automatically, so you might have to go to the http interface in your browser and clear your IP through captcha or something like that.

login working fine here just logged in and out
yeah mine wont log in Probably a cookies problem. Try a different browser and check your pass?

Shares should pay without any issues, as long as my hidden chncoind doesn't get attacked ;-)
Try this, instead of the IP's for the stratum backup: -o stratum+tcp://lb.izserv.com:2595
You should use the primary as minecnc.dontmine.me because that will have the lowest latency.
Basically what I'm doing is I have a second IP on a different subnet for my server and I'm using reverse proxies and cloudflare to filter attacks. CloudFlare works with http and longpolling is a HTTP/JSON interface so I can filter it using that. I'm on the free plan right now, so I'm not sure how long the 8080 will be open but protection is a reasonable 200/m. Stratum is just a TCP service and it's a bit harder to protect.

DNS propagation must occur before your web portal will show up. I can't give you the IP for the web bypass or it'll get DDoS'd again sorry ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) You can still mine at the old IP that was cnc.dontmine.me, and payouts will still happen automatically if you can't get to the web interface. You can use 72.8.182.2 in your miner for now, but I'll be adding some proxies to some different IP's so you'll wanna switch to the URL when it starts working.
All the old shares get paid out, the server isn't actually crashing or anything like that. The network just goes down so it just operates and sends transactions or whatever with the network down, and then when it comes back online it pays everything out of the wallet, etc.
I added some firewall rules, but I'm not sure if this will prevent the IP from being nullrouted or not.
Just a reminder, the url cnc.dontmine.me will no longer work for your miners.
I've put the web portion online with cloudflare. This means the miner URL will have to change to a different subdomain, minecnc.dontmine.me I'm trying to get a well priced reverse proxy (for minecraft servers ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) ) and the ip for the miners will change if you hard coded that part in.

Does anyone know any hosts to use? I'm using staminus now and they want about $100/m per Gbit / 0.1M PPS of DDoS protection. Looks like a large DDoS for the past bit, the IP is null routed for the duration of the attack so it will keep coming back online as soon as it stops.

I increased the file limit but I forgot to restart my session before I opened stratum server, oh well it's bumped now should be good ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Good BYE CNC, Dontmine me is about to get 51% "Registration has been temporarily closed due to the large hash rate on this server relative to the total hash power of the network. It will reopen when the pool/network hash rate (50.54%) drops below 35% Thank you for your support!" http://cnc.dontmine.me/registerI've had >51% before actually, on both FTC and CNC, and gotten 6 blocks in a row several times (not that any pool should have 51%). I close registration, but someone has been selling accounts apparently on btc-e. I'm trying to be a good pool citizen here, but it's hard!

all pools suck for me with 99% rejected shares, used above link also still insane amount or rejected and stales
I also get 99% rejected solo mining is that normal?
Sounds like a problem with your setup if all the pools and solo mining is that way.
I am getting about 10% stales. Is this normal? 2 x 7950. A:760 R:44 A746 R:78 ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2F&t=663&c=6Na277Zglr-nDg) Try --queue 0 --expiry 1 , and lower intensity by one or two. The fast blocking rates are responsible for most of the stales, despite stratum block notifies. I will probably have to increase the share difficulty soon until I can get a vardiff setup running since it's running 1000 shares/second and that's about the limit for my setups to handle.

Okay, everything has migrated to a new server. The hardware is much better, the connection is better, and it has a reverse proxy for DDoS mitigation. I'm currently protected to 1 Gbps, but if the DDoS attacks are larger than that I'll have to up the pool fee to ~2% and buy a more hefty reverse proxy.
I can get DDoS protection but I'll have to bump the fee to 2%, the hosting costs considerably more. Any opinions?
I fixed the hashrate up a bit. It takes 25 minutes to settle now but it should be a lot smoother than before.
Well, I gave up on the 1.5k shares/second. It was just too much for stratum to run smoothly, and I tried a lot of different settings on the database. So I scaled the share difficulty up 4x, 1/4 the load on the server, and everything should be good again, but that's what I thought last time ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Unfortunately, my miner uses the connection that is being DDoS'd for CNC pool, so I can't calibrate the share/hash rates. Just jumped on, will awarded shares still be proportional for the work -- if they are not calibrated? This is also my concern. The numbers the front end site are showing are now off the charts crazy - I know difficulty went to ~120 for the entire network - however even with that change the displayed hash rates and rewards don't add up anymore after the changes. Paul - would you comment on this? Are rewards proportional to all the changes? They do not seem to be - according to the estimates on the site and hashrates of various workers vs. actual work the workers are currently being shorted. ---edit--- To be concrete - the difficulty increased to 120, but my "estimated reward" stat is now about 1/3 of what it was before any changes. That difficulty change on the network should not have reduced 24 hour reward so drastically. I've probably missed a few places to tweak the display settings. I'll check on it, but yes everything is similar to round based pay per share; it gets divided evenly among the unpaid shares, it doesn't depend on the hash rate.
