There is an old saying: Slow and steady wins the race.Just look at Bitcoin. It took 8 years to reach at current price (3500$). I don't mind holding my FRN for 2-3 years. Have patience. There is patience, but there is also striking the iron when it's hot. It is good to have everything perfected, I am just curious when the advertising campaign will finally be releasing. It is a legitimate question. I do not mind holding Francs for some time too, as this coin has tremendous potential, I believe to sky rocket even X1,000 times what it is worth today, or even more, by God's amazing grace. But the team needs to be committed and hold their own original investment too, instead of giving away pre-mine coins in the advertising campaign. As cryptocurrencies are gaining attention/attraction, this is the moment when the iron is hot. You MUST get your name out there now, or else there will be more currencies out in the near future and they will get their name out there before you. I agree, perfect the phone wallets and the wallets themselves before sending it out, but you gotta get going on that. It needs to be done, as it is urgent now. Let Macron know about this coin, let all the big companies in France know about this coin, let France know about this coin, and let the world know about this coin! If we are successful, and I believe we will be, then we have a really opportunity to have this coin increase drastically, potentially even into the billions of dollars of market capital, if continued development and market implementation of this coin continues to happen. Therefore, momentum must be used, strategies must be implemented, and the original team must continue their work and HOLD their original investment - knowing that in the future it will be worth a lot more, it all really depends on them and what they choose to do with it. As the Huffington post states: As far as France is concerned, stability in its political leadership may help FRN grow further. Already, France’s new President Emmanuel Macron has indicated plans to promote the wider adoption of cryptocurrencies. He has initiated discussion in the parliament and has asked the bank to make public mini bonds to enable companies to finance their business. Since there is no denying that France is a country where State decisions exert significant control, this could be a very positive indicator for the future of FRN.So, why don't we go to Macron and say about the coin? Thanks for supporting me. We love France, we love Macron and we love FRN. A cryptophillic president will certainly advocate FRN due to it's true intention to be the France's national cryptocurrency. Hell yeah... I say find a way to sneak in the back door while knocking on the front door.. just saying.. maybe get French merchants to offer points toward luxury purchases or something people don;t have and requires extreme thrift normally and then get the gov to make it an official program. So as far as the wallet app is concerned, is this close to the finished product minus some tweaking? I thought it was going to be based on Breadwallet's app? The current FRN app redirects to a website wallet instead of what I thought it would be like, such as Electrum, Breadwallet, etc. where the app would run on the phone
That's right. The mobile wallet is going to be a different application. Apple have an ambiguous policy when it comes to cryptocurrencies and we hope they won't reject it. The actual FRN application you can find on the Appstore and GPlay will still exist though we plan to update it with a new engine and new features. It is currently just a 1.0 version. Also, Android version of the mobile wallet is already on track. All this takes time. The best would be to hire some workforce but we already spent a lot of money, at the same time we're not willing to use the premine. Complicated business. We should soon set up a public founding page, this will centralize all the current projects with a possibility to make public donations. All the invoices and freights related to the project will be published there as well. For example, sending all the packs with the brochures will cost us around 250€. It would be helpful if we could pay these kind of things through donations. Devs, I think you should send a brochure to every maior newspaper, tv director and top 100 business. This will make create some media interes and atleast some merchant interest FRN accepted campaign That is an absolutely great idea!!!! And you have to get on it as soon as you can, and have the bandwidth to back it up, or else people may loose interest after the initial exposure. You gotta keep the momentum going!!!!!  |

Seriously, developers are either trying to bring the coin down to buy back more of the coins by taking down the website, or, their website service is so bad, it is down 90% of the time.

Just to let you all know I have an appointment setup for tomorrow with Telus to get my internet installed. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly and I can get back online at the new place  UPDATE: Turns out the installation is set for Monday, damn Telus  Waiting for more good news to come from the coin. Please let us know when the software actually launches and we can start collecting the coins and participate physically in the project. Likewise, what are the future development plans for this coin? Perhaps faster transactions, better security, more applications? Thanks for all of your hard work, I believe this coin will do very well soon! Mobile wallet is in testing phase right now.
We got growing concerns about malware reports on the qt wallet, these are coming from the integrated mining function.
For that reason I think we may suppress this function. I see no other solution. Otherwise this may scare the newcomers.
Sounds good. The mining is not necessarily directly related to the advertising campaign, so suppressing the mining functions should not have much of an impact, if any. Glad to hear that the mobile wallet is finally in the testing phase right now. Looking forward to its release and the release of the first wave of the advertising campaign. Once Francs hit a market capital of around 1 - 2 million, let's get it listed on Bittrex exchange. Bittrex helps to advertise coins with high volume and biggest daily gains. It will really help the coin to gain more tracation, once the first wave of the advertising campaign is sent out to the Bitcoin using shops. This coin is about to take off. Anytime now.

Geo is rising along with a bunch of other really low market cap coins because a pump group has announced a pump on a low market cap coin in 3 hours. So it's all speculation...
Hint: it won't be geo because there is too much on the sell side.
Geo is not pure p&d. Ir raises organicaly because devs keep working on it and conctantly updates. When they will publish application in Google Play Geo will rise faster. Good to add some(200-500) to your crypto protfolio and hold it. I agree. This coin will do very well. I have a hunch it will skyrocket just like ReddCoin did, 2,000% in 7 days. |

... Are you an investor in Geo but not Lomo? I'm just trying to understand your seeming favorability towards this GeoCoin. Here's the thing that I am concerned about. Why should LomoCoin reach out to a developer who doesn't appear to care about their project? It seems GeoCoin is dead and only getting pumped for a cash grab. But I hope you can prove me wrong. I don't see the OP posting much in this thread as of late? I bought geo when I found out about it, a while back. I only found out about Lomo a few days ago and bought a small amount too. Geo has had active public comments by the devs for some time, as well as at least one person who is publicly identifiable and has stated they are associated with the coin and believe it to be genuine. Your posts are very pumpy and reek of something not quite right. I'm looking at Lomocoin, trying to get info, thoroughly interested in finding out if things are right, but you seem intent on avoiding facts and trying to pressure people into trusting. I do not speak for either side, and have what most people would call a fairly small amount invested, but do have some investment in both coins. I agree that there are problems with geocoin, and I have not hesitated to point out those problems when I see them. When I raise issues about geocoin, as I have in the past using several id's according to what passwords I remember etc, geocoin has more or less answered the questions, even if not 100%. Lomocoin has not done that as yet, but I am still open to supporting that coin if the devs make any honest effort aside from publicity aimed at getting more money from another ico. I apologize if my comments sound pumpy. I don't intend to sound that way. I just tend to invest based on code activity more than anything else. And just as a hint, that tends to be the reason for true rise in coins - just check github and you'll know what coin will go up next. The website was not working for a while, but now it is up. The GeoCatching phone app is in beta testing right now and should be releasing as soon as it is finished. No word from the development team as to when, however. Once the app is out, they figure out where they want to take the coin and how it will work, then the coin should see a significant increase. And even then, it could still be a work in progress where there may be continuous improvements. We have made plenty of suggestions to the development team, now it is up to them as to where they want to take this project. Hopefully it will be to Mars. |

I agree that it's important to keep us updated on development, maybe let us know what percentage of the wallet/infrastructure work has been completed. But I think rushing to promote before the work is done runs the risk of giving a kind of vaporware impression. First and foremost the development has to be complete, or we'd just be promoting an idea with nothing to back it up. And in that case, the uninitiated would just as easily forget the franc and turn to bitcoin. Once the development is done, the coin's unique features will shine and a promotional campaign can be targeted at both people familiar with bitcoin and newcomers alike. I believe having the wallet being user friendly on the phone is the last thing before promotions. |

Can we get an update on this amazing coin? Let's focus on monopolizing the French economy. The French economy is the 6th largest economy in the world, consisting of $2,423,000,000,000 USD or 3.26% of the world economy. If we can get 1 out of 121 French citizens to convert their finances into Francs, then this coin should see an investment equaling to $20,000,000,000. And that's just the French economy, let alone others who may want to join in from the U.S., China, Germany, U.K., Japan, etc. From what I know, the French are very patriotic, and they would love to invest into something that is "their own." As the cryptocurrencies are gaining momentum across the world, it makes sense that France will want to incorporate into their own cryptocurrency soon. There is a significant amount of people using BitCoins already, so it is a good strategy to target BitCoin users first, as this would probably be the most efficient and strategic form of marketing.
Please keep us updated regarding the phone wallet and the first wave of the advertising campaign. I feel that you need to strike the iron while it is still hot, as the cryptocurrency market right now is yielding much fruit. I feel that Francs will have a significant increase after the first wave, and the pre-mine coins, instead of being given away in the initial campaign, can used for sale for additional financing for advertising. I believe this coin will do great, we just need to finally start the advertising process so that people know there is a new cryptocurrency geared towards the French economy. I might as well invest a little more while I still can. Cryptocurrencies these days, especially the good ones, can be so unpredictable. They can be still for months, and then up 600% the next day. I see a lot of potential in this coin, so I think I am going to put in a little more into it before it takes off.
Again, please keep the community updated regarding the phone wallet and the advertising campaign. You are all doing amazing, keep up the great work. The website has a BEAUTIFUL design and so does everything else. The envelopes, the coins, and everything appears very official and professional.
