81  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain+Bitmain Warrenty Poor communication and service? on: July 28, 2017, 03:21:51 PM
Bitmain Warranty in Colorado is a paid service.

Maybe you could negotiate something with Bitmain Hong Kong for an Antminer T9?

I had numerous issues with s9 and R4 hash boards this past winter. I relocated all my gear from home to a data center and have not had one issue since other than a bad fan

Bitmain sent me an email saying that they have a place in Los Angles for in warranty repair.

Much better then shipping in warranty to China .

Yes Phil I got the same email
82  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain+Bitmain Warrenty Poor communication and service? on: July 27, 2017, 02:07:07 PM
I think Bitmain just opened a warranty place in California for units that are in the States to deal with.
83  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: my long story with Bitmain and bitmainwarranty and S9 on: July 27, 2017, 02:00:37 PM
Sorry to hear that.
Have they said what the damage is? I can think of many things such as blown internal traces, lifted pad, etc.
Again, this is why Bitmain Warranty (and Bitmain factory service) need to provide a report that says more than 'Fixed" or "Unrepairable"...

no they just told me it cannot fix
so i paid 300$ for 8 hours of hashing with 4.6TH

Ouch! I just sent a board in to Denver and waiting to hear back. I think mine is repairable as it would hash great for a while then start to show xxx's and then stop. No high HW or heat issues from what I could see, just got tired of restarting the miner every couple hours.

Update on my repair. Got it back Friday and it is working great. The cost was $200 and they said it had a bad asic chip.
Well with just one week of running now that same hash board just started acting back up. Very disappointed
Well after 3 weeks and another $150 the board is on its way back to me. If I don't have any better luck with this repair I may look at a charge back either with PayPal or my CC company.
84  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [PPS multipool] NiceHash.com pool - higher profits than direct mining BTC! on: July 12, 2017, 10:41:54 PM

Are you mining Bitcoin or another SHA-256 coin? If so, you might want to look at buying an ASIC instead of more video cards/USB miners, as they are a lot stronger than your USB miners/video cards. Video cards are pretty good for mining other coins like ETH where no ASICs exist though. Look into AntMiners or Avalons if you want to get a set up that actually mines a decent amount of Bitcoin.
Yes, Bitcoin. I guess I'm going to look into a real ASIC miner. I'm just not sure how to set it up.
I assume it needs its own power supply? Do I connect it to windows, my Raspberry Pi?
If you buy an Antminer all you need is a PSU and a Ethernet cable. Once connected the setup is easy.

87  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Butterfly Labs 60 GH MINER on: June 13, 2017, 05:34:20 PM
The miner is made of hardware, and so it is independant of if the manufacturing company is still un business or not. If Samsung went bankrupt, Samsung washing machines would still work.

yea i just wasnt sure about it cuz i havent found anything about that in google
btw you know how can i start mining with that?
im kinda new to all of this
tnx for helping mate

To start using it I think you must connect to the dedicated webpage. Then here launch Bfgminer with the wanted command line. I guess this is how to do it, but I am not sure, as I have never used one.

I had 3 I ran a few years back and I used BFL easy miner. You should be able to go to the hardware section of the forums and scroll back thru until you find the BFL posting. If not Google the software. (i hope you got cheap electric)

My old account is still screwed up, but I think I am locked out due to me putting the wrong password in to many times. ( Still waiting on Coinbase to tell me why I can not sign a message with my wallet so I can prove it's my forum account.)

91  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: June 06, 2017, 10:04:33 AM
I have a S9 that keeps dropping a board. It may run around 2 hours and then turn to all xxx's and not hash.the other 2 broads seem fine. Once I reset from the configure page it will hash again for anywhere from a few mins to  a couple hours. Wondering if there is a monitoring program that I can Use to restart it ever hour or 2?
I checked out cryptoglance but it does not seemed to be working for me. Thanks
Send it to Giga Watt for hosting and they also do repairs on site, cheaper than sending to China and paying shipping plus cheap hosting.

I shipped my bad board to Bitmain Warranty in Denver for repair.

Well I can not get coinbase to write me back telling me why their sign a message on my wallet address is not working. I would just drop getting my old account back but my iPhone and iPad which I used to try and logged onto my forum account will not let me log onto my new account?

Here is what I get:

94  Economy / Economics / Re: Build a Bank Of Bitcoin on: May 26, 2017, 06:38:32 PM
Is this not what hashking tried about 4-5 years ago and it did not end up well.

People didn't pay their loans back, bitcoin prices went up and hashking could not afford to pay people's  coins back. Some loss hundreds of coins.
95  Other / Meta / Re: Account locked? on: May 11, 2017, 12:40:24 PM
Update: Well it's not a mobile problem as I tried on my laptop last night with Chrome and IE and could not get either to work. So I opened a support ticket with coinbase to see what they say.

Still waiting to hear from Coinbase but I did learn one thing just now. My old account had showed no activity for a couple days. I tried to log into it which still shows me locked out but as soon as I did that it show activity on the account. So  apparently just trying to log in,  even though it's locked it still shows up as activity on the account.

I am not sure yet as I use coinbase for my wallet now. I will have to check and see if these were coinbase or my old wallet. I just remember having to sign for canary when I bought my first USB miners thru him. Thanks for the follow up.

Thanks for your help ibminer I got access to that address but coinbase is either having problems or it's a iPad thing as it will not go ve me a signature? But will give it another try when I get home on the laptop and see if that helps.

I am thinking the account is in control by someone else. Three reasons are: all my trust is gone now,  it shows last active last night and it says my password was changed recently. All 3 things was not by me.

I had not been on in months and I guess forgot my password and tried to many times. Account is locked now, any way to get it unlocked? Also when I look at my old profile it shows I was active today? Not sure why that is other than me trying to log in again?
Old account is aurel57
Thanks
