801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS Z270 p mobo turning on but no display on: July 04, 2017, 06:44:27 AM
I've never faced any issues with ASUS Prime Z270-P MOBs. They are great and amazing for a rock solid build. I can suggest you to try installing the system without any onboard dedicated graphics on the motherboard. Load up a UEFI based system which is bootable via an external drive. Connect to monitor via HDMI, and start up the motherboard, keep pressing DEL button all the time until you boot in BIOS menu and once there is the output of display, you're good to go.
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Issue Dual Mining (Claymore v 9.5) on: July 03, 2017, 11:03:35 PM
The reason behind you never faced this kind of issue first, because you were single mining and the default value of -dcri in single mining is good one but as soon as you switched to dual mining, you have to adjust the intensity between both the coins, thus explaining the function of -dcri.

You're welcome and I feel like there can be two reasons for fluctuation with your AMD GPU,
1) It's overclocked a bit too much which may be a reason for such a fluctuation.
2) Running AMD and Nvidia together in a single rig may cause this issue.

Try hit and trial method and you may find the core of the problem.
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ethminer-0.9.41-genoil-1.1 on: July 02, 2017, 07:38:44 PM
I dont know how to get this rocking with sexy.pool im using the nvidia optimized version as per bitsbetrippin on youtube, any help how to lock in the bat file would be appreciated

Check the help text for optimised CUDA version, you gotta have to specify the stratum number in a bat file, the default might not work.

There wasn't a help txt file in the version I downloaded, went to GitHub, no help txt option either for nvidia

Give this download a try:

Why the hell are you plugging the card in x1 slot?  Please read the manual of your motherboard before assembling your rig. First of all, let's make a check list:
Updated bios? Yes, then good. If no, thats the first thing you gotta do.
Set PCIe Link speed to GEN1 and then plug your card in first x16 slot, then the second card in second x16 slot, after that third card in first x1 slot just next to x16 slot and so on.
Try it and let me know your results.

maybe he mean with risers in x1 slot, he can't plug the card directly there they have no the support for that, x1 slot make sense for mining, why you said he shoudl plug there?

Brother, I know x1 slot is specifically used by the GPU via risers but I'm trying to say that, first occupy all three x16 lanes in the mob with GPUs and then connect x1 lane to GPU via risers and make a check. I had a similar problem like that where I went in ascending order and the system was acting funny, only to realise after by reading the manual that first you got to occupy all three x16 lanes and then start adding more GPUs in x1 lanes.

Moreover, there is no PEG1 Max Link Speed in your bios, which makes me wonder, if it's updated or not because in my bios I have two options:
PEG0 Max Link Speed and PEG1 Max Link Speed.

Ever heard of -dcri command in claymore miner? Well add this command -dcri 14 and give it a try.

So, I found this listing on my country's IT retail store website. I even called the company to confirm about this and they said these cards are legitimate and will arrive by end of July. I'll pre-order some and see if they are any good. BTW price is around 390 USD.

>$390 USD
>End of July release, wont receive it until a few day into August at earliest.
>Eth crashing, difficulty skyrocketing.
>unsure future for polaris cards, possible fix in the works
>will need to BIOS mod to get any decent performance out of it.
>horrific resale value thanks to ZERO display outputs.

Its almost like AMD & partners are taking advantage of you.

Remind me how this makes sense anymore? Why would a person not just buy these for $300 on ebay all day long if they wanted an RX 470 so bad?

You do mention some really nice points there. Actually, it's the cheapest card available in my country right now, but I guess till mid of July, there will be a replenishment of new stocks. I just pre-ordered two of these to test it out and see how they stand out in comparison with normal cards. BTW, Thanks a ton for your opinion. Smiley

Hey, please don't mind me coming up again and again with the bugs that I encounter. As soon as the rig is done 24h uptime, the miner stats is restarted from 0. (e.x. One of my rig's uptime is 24h 45min but in the miner stat page, it's displaying 45min.)

Hi,

No problems, issue has been fixed, thank you for giving feedback.

Awesome support. Can't ask for more. Thanks a ton Smiley

Yes

lol, yes what?
That $5 a day sounds right?

Due to current difficulty increase and the decreasing value of probably all of the coins, 5 USD a day looks pretty legit for now.

Hi everyone,

New update has been released for EthMonitoring & Web services.

26.06.2017

  • Added dual mining total hashrate/accepted/rejected support (Claymore)
  • Added total hashrate notification support for primary hashrate
  • Changed claymores uptime getting from Claymore's API
  • New EthMonitoring version v0.0.15
  • Fixed GPU display indexing for graphs

WOW!  Cheesy Ultimate update. Fixed majority of bugs I faced. I must give you this, you're an amazing developer and the quick support from your side was marvellous.
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU Rig PORN on: June 26, 2017, 06:56:06 AM

I like open rigs and I have a lot of space between the consecutive GPUs, so no issues with heat.

816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Add second wallet address into claymore? on: June 26, 2017, 06:33:17 AM
Let me make you understand by providing an example.
Let's say you have 6 card rig and you want to split 5 cards for one wallet and last one for later.
Create a bat file with -di 01234 at the end (which will enable GPU0, GPU1, GPU2, GPU3, GPU4 and disable GPU5) and redirect it to one wallet.
Create another bat file with -di 5 at the end (which will enable GPU5) and redirect that bat file wallet address to later.
Run both of bat files together and you're good to go.

Remember one thing don't forget to add -ethi 7 at the end of both bat(s), it'll drastically reduce the load of two instances on the system.
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: WHAT IS THE BEST WALLET TO MINE DIRECTLY TO please and thank you kindly on: June 26, 2017, 06:27:32 AM
The best advice I will give is to use secure wallets like desktop wallets (which uses your disk space to store data - secure enough) and hard wallets like ledger Nano S.
I personally use Exodus, Jaxx and many other wallets to keep my multi currency coin secure. It's not such a hassle but secure over vulnerable. Right? You don't wanna have a good night's sleep and the next day you wake up and see your coins lost for some -effin reason.

Awesome Work with this monitoring app. I've been looking for this kind of monitoring app for so long. I've tried Awesome miner, it has great UI but it only works on local network, to make it work via the web you need to port forward and stuff for which I'm comfortable enough but fear security issue, tried Minerstat too - didn't like the way it works, you need to config your miner online and cannot add custom command settings, moreover it uses its own node API and system to present us with statistics - A no-no for me. I've even tried minermonitor.eu, but same -ish like Minerstat. Finally, I found this monitoring app and it did everything I required -
1) Using default claymore API to present statistics.
2) Telegram Notifications.
3) Mobile-friendly and easy access to data via a simple web browser.

I signed up instantly for the premium plan.

BTW I would like to have all of this bugs resolved if it's possible in next update:
1) The uptime of rig is determined by the application and not the claymore miner API (e.x., Uptime in miner is showing 59 minutes but as I started the monitoring app half an hour ago, on the website it is showing 30 minutes instead of 59 minutes.)
2) Under the graphs, all the GPUs are indexed as GPU x (x being the last GPU Number in the rig) [e.x., In a 5 GPU rig, index should be GPU0, GPU1,GPU2,GPU3,GPU4 under the graphs but instead they all are listed as GPU4, GPU4, GPU4 ,GPU4 , GPU4.]
3) If I'm dual mining (which is I'm), the second (dual) hashrate total, accepted shares, rejected shares are not there for display.
4) Custom notification features are awesome but I want to request for an improvement there:
Notify when Hashrate is below: XYZ. Here let's say for example my rig is doing 148 MH/s, so I've made a custom notification setting to notify me when the hashrate drops below 140 MH/s but that's not the case with this setting. It's for individual GPU drop, so instead, I had to set the value to 25 MH/s because if any GPU drops below this value, it's gonna notify me. It's neat but I still prefer the first way of setting.
5) The profit display, I've been mining forks of Ethereum and not Ethereum itself but it still shows the profit for that coin instead, I get it, It'll definitely take a lot of time to all majority of coins and it's pools to correctly calculate the profit for the coin you're mining.

Hi,

Thank you very much for the feedback, yes the idea was to access the data from web and not open any ports or direct access to network. All the bugs/suggestions noted and i will release updates as soon as i can.

Looking forward to it  Smiley
I've updated my previous post and added a screenshot for reference. Keep up the good work.

A BIG BIG NO

Please do your research first, before asking these type of questions and let me tell you, there is a reason why people are investing in high-end GPUs and assembling their own rigs for mining rather than using compact computational devices and don't you think it's a bit tad to ask if you can mine on your Android smartphone!?
