801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: August 01, 2020, 09:52:01 AM
i liked her at 2.7 but it's still good odds IMO.

Nope, these weren't good odds as it seems, but I didn't place a bet Grin

Harris sits at 2.32 now and the big winner is Karen Bass, whose odds have come down to around 6-ish. But betting on HER now is also a bit meh, because the value is gone. Read some article and there are some good points, why Bass makes sense; mainly because she looks to be more loyal additionally to her huge experience. Lots of lobbying going on and by now I wouldn't be surprised to see some more or less big outsider being chosen. It's not that unlikely for the VP having to step in at some point during the 4-year tenure, so this position is probably more important than ever for a lot of agendas. If Biden actually wins..... Wink

Did some "analysis" on the 50 states, checked their odds, and will put it here, if anyone is interested. It's also good for comparison later on.

I checked, if there have been some significant changes in the odds for Electoral College, but it basically stayed the same for all states. Florida has shifted the most, was 1.66/2.20 and is now 1.57/2.45 in favour of Democrats and Trump needs Florida badly.

I could, if this is the wish of the majority Grin But I did something else first - a little tracking sheet, to see how poor we are doing.

What I was wondering is if it's already possible to get the odds for the first coach to be sacked from somewhere?!

I didn't see any odds yet. Wagner is a good candidate though, but I am missing Kohfeldt on your list. He is maybe at highest risk to get sacked, because if Werder starts bad, they will not hesitate to get rid of him imo. They don't want another season like the last one.

You can do your own odds (for these three you mentioned) and we can compare then once some odds are available and maybe find some value Wink

Discussions about the return of spectators continue.

What is maybe more interesting (for me): Who will get tickets ? I think the authorities and DFL would be more happy, to give the tickets to sponsors, officials, families etc. and not to the hardcore fans, because they are more likely to not follow any Corona rules. But can you imagine what happens, if Schickeria doesn't get any tickets for Bayern games ? There will be a civil war Grin

And the clubs would surely want their hardcore fans in the stadium to not have an atmosphere like you have in a lot of english stadiums. But they are dangerous for this whole concept Wink

Guangsha - Fujian under 219,5 @1.82 4/10

This is too high for such a crucial match (remember it's bo1). Guangsha rarely crossed this line, they even often times didn't have 200+ in their games. Fujian is a high-scoring team, but they will adjust their style for tomorrows game a bit too. 200-210 points looks more likely.
809  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FortuneJack predatory rules on: July 29, 2020, 02:16:13 PM
No it's not.  It's really quite common for fiat sportsbetting sites to have 2x or 3x deposit roll overs from my experience...

Standard in (fiat) bookies is 1x rollover of your deposit, before you can withdraw, which is ok. 2x I have never seen, though maybe still acceptable, but 3x is just brazen, greedy and not fair. But FJ's 2x is only for casino games as stated earlier, which is fine I think.

That 8.1.2 rule is the biggest joke I have ever seen, had to go to their site to see it for myself, this is a rip-off. There seems to be no min odds requirement, so you can at least play a 1.01 and pray, but this speaks volumes about what they are up to.
810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: July 29, 2020, 01:26:17 PM

There was a pic taken from Bidens notes for his latest press conference and it had notes about Kamala Harris:

Source: https://www.businessinsider.com/kamala-harris-on-joe-bidens-handwritten-notes-amid-vp-rumors-2020-7?r=DE&IR=T

Harris has been my favourite all the time and I wanted to place a bet on here in the upcoming days - she was around 2.70 before this pic was taken. Now the odds have dropped already, which is super annoying^^:

Source: https://orbitexch.com/customer/sport/market/1.168954647

I somehow think this 1.7x is still good, but not too much into this topic and the other candidates to be brave enough to place a bet. Can anyone convince me to do it ?

Biden has nice handwriting for a person of his age, if it was him writing those notes actually, chapeau.

I think I will have to lock this topic soon. A lot of the posts rather belong in off-topic discussion about the US Election (I am sure there is some thread), because this thread is about betting on it and finding good value odds. Sure there must be some arguments back and forth, impact of Corona, economical crisis, riots etc., but I miss some more betting related things. For the time being I will be more strict with deleting posts and see if it gets better that way Grin
811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football in China - The Chinese Super League on: July 28, 2020, 08:53:24 PM
What's crazy about this league is that they aren't really bothering much about imports as long as these imports do their job on the field, and even going so far as helping them get that citizenship to gain more perks and to motivate them even further into playing good.

Well, getting them citizenship is for very selfish reasons (foreign player policy) and I bet they get good money for it behind the curtains Wink Only few players feel chinese and really want that citizenship no matter what (Ai Kesen aka Elkeson is one of those players imo).
Take for example Sandro Wagner, who was an ok-ish Bundesliga player and even was signed by Bayern Munich, but didn't play a lot because of Lewandowski. He was transferred to Tianjin last year and earns around 7.5mln/year there. At Munich he maybe earned 25% of that. And he clearly stated, that it also was a financial decision being 30+y.o at the time of the transfer already. You can earn very good money there, but for most players it's just a business decision. It's a huge cultural change and not that much of a challenge to play in CSL, so you have to compensate the players financially. If you decide to start that adventure, you are the king though; but the teams also don't hesitate to kick you out again, if you don't perform to their satisfaction Grin
812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: July 28, 2020, 02:33:28 PM
Some more well known players have already opted out in Dont'a Hightower and Marcus Cannon. Both big blows for the Pats, while RB Brandon Bolden, FB Danny Vitale and G Najee Toran will also not suit up in 2020 season for them.

Other players to opt out:

Thomas (Ravens)
Duvernay-Tardif (Chiefs)
Warmack (Seahawks)
Canady (Cowboys)
Brantley (Football Team^^)
Peko (Broncos)
Smith (Ravens)

With the latest news from the Miami Marlins in MLB, I expect a wave of opt-outs in the next days. Not looking good all in all and I find it kind of non-exciting to watch NFL, when probably a lot of teams are weakened by core players opting out.
813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Strategies to apply on a betting exchange on: July 28, 2020, 12:51:46 PM
Even this is the same function with GT you can hedge the same winning profits on all of 3 events (and not have as seen in this example more money in draw... Strommen match)

I think this is just a matter of the odds rising while doing the cash-out. In Strommen match Orbit/Betfair makes back-bet for like 5.6 for the draw, but it actually gets matched at 6.0 (when the odds rise/drop in your favour, it gets matched; when it's to your disadvantage it fails).

But I agree of course, that GT is way better, faster and gives you more options to plan hedges Smiley
814  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: July 28, 2020, 12:31:05 PM
Played a bit at your site recently, the sportsbook only, and here is some feedback:

The good things first and it was a nice experience Smiley I like the UI and the site is super fast whereever you click, probably the best crypto book in that regard for me. Navigation is very intuitive and everything has a clear layout. Odds are ok/standard and the limits are good, deposits and withdrawals without any issues basically. I was a bit annoyed with all the SMS I got, but I guess this is something you can turn off in settings somewhere (was too lazy to check^^). After around one month of playing the account is limited now and more or less unusable, which is something I (have to) accept. What I don't like, is how the limit is executed:

Instead of just offering lower max bets, you offer very poor odds and tell me "The odds have changed". This is a lie, because after refreshing the page, the odds didn't change, they were still 3.37. So this is a bit cheeky imo and you should either change it to "The odds have changed for you" or just set an account-bound limit, but offer the same odds for everyone.
In the above example this would transfer to ~19% house edge - even our state bookie isn't that greedy Wink

All in all a bookie I can recommend and which I consider legit and trustworthy from my experience.
815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Strategies to apply on a betting exchange on: July 28, 2020, 10:38:12 AM
MY suggestion: not use automatic option given by betfair.com.
(...)
I used GEEK TOYS a sw created ad hoc for betting purpose Wink much much more efficient then classic cash-out option in betfair

Hmm, is it ? The cash-out option at Orbit/Betfair is basically the same like with GT, i.e. your profits get spread evenly among all outcomes. It's just not that convenient, because you can't decide with which odds you hedge, which is a little problem in fast moving markets. With Orbit/Betfair your cash-out will not get executed, when the odds for your profit position go up in the meantime - with GT you can just choose slightly higher odds from the beginning and be sure you get matched, albeit giving up some small percentage of your profits.
816  Economy / Gambling / Re: #3 Bitcointalk Poker Series (0.05 BTC & BIG BTC Ticket sponsored by SwC Poker) on: July 27, 2020, 09:56:43 PM
Why is there any hurdle to use the chat anyway, I don't know any site where this is the case. Just because of a few people that can't behave, everyone is punished, just like in real world, where a few idiots make life for the majority harder.
They should just ban the chat option for those abusers and let everyone else use it without any requirements.

Looks very much like a little tool to get people playing, which is ok-ish for a smaller site in the end in my book. Maybe you can organize some Krill prizes instead of BTC sponsoring @efialtis Wink
817  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Ab sofort: Bitcasino's FORUM-Promotions on: July 27, 2020, 09:36:28 PM

818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Betting & Discussion] Chinese Basketball Association - Rest of 2019/2020 Season on: July 27, 2020, 04:08:22 PM
Guangdong - Beijing ML Beijing @3.37 2/10 (FJ)

No "luck" here, Guangdong played their normal style, toying with their opponents as usual, 101-82 FT.

Profit: +9.22
Yield: 9.24%
W-L: 12-12
Win rate: 50.00%
Average Stake: 4.16
Average Odds: 2.42

The numbers look ok, but still a small sample size.

Regular season is finished now and we are wating for playoffs to start on Friday and which will be "best of one" only for this and the following round.

Zhejiang Guangsha - Fujian
Zhejiang Chouzhou - Shanxi
Beikong - Jilin
Qingdao - Shandong

Lets see how the bookies/markets price these games.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football in China - The Chinese Super League on: July 27, 2020, 03:52:51 PM
Chongqing Lifan - Beijing Guoan 2 (@1.58)
Tianjin Teda - Shanghai SIPG 2 (@1.54)
parlay @2.43 7/10

An early goal for the opponent is not what you like to see, but Shanghai was superior due to way better quality in their roster and turned it around before halftime, 1-3 FT.

All in all this was a good first round with +14.13 units, that late Chongqing goal still hurts a bit though Tongue Next round starts on Thursday, lets see if there will be some good bets again Smiley
820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 27, 2020, 07:34:42 AM
I was not referring to mental illness. I meant that sometimes the environment is not what it used to be.

Ok, I wasn't necessarily referring to mental illness (Deisler was probably a bad example, Sternkopf had no "real" mental issues I think, he just wasn't ready for it), but more to general mental pressure, with which players deal differently and I don't see Kruse having any problems at all in that regard.

But still the environment and dynamics in a club change all the time. You have new coaches, new players, new staff, maybe a new stadium, different status quo of the club in general, you will live in a different home than at your first stint etc. And here I think you will always have the risk of a player not working out - if it's a comeback at the club or the first time. So if you are too scared with this, then you can basically not sign any player ever Wink

But then again you have players that just fit in a certain club or league. Schnatterer from Heidenheim wouldn't work anywhere else I think (we will never know) and a striker like Terodde is a super good player for 2. Bundesliga, but just can't get anything going in Bundesliga. I think it will be the same for Fabian Klos and am curious to see how he will do next season.
