Bitcoin can become global currency in future but not sure what is the exact scenario at a moment as I really think that bitcoin can be a currency of lifetime.
Sometimes I have thoughts about that too. This currency can really dominate the online world. But will it be really forever. What if there are new ones that popped up. Or someone did something to make it fall. I also had the same thought, because the future of bitcoin no one can determine. maybe if there is a coin that can replace bitcoin in the future, but as long as it was profitable was not a problem for me. but I am always optimistic bitcoin can last a lifetime. I am not one of the fan of that "lifetime" thing. There is always an end. Some just stays for so long and I will go with that kind of belief. It will last long but not forever for bitcoin. There will always be something that will make it fall or something better that will come. bitcoin is a remarkable technology, and currently we live with everything about technology. so if bitcoin able to develop properly. I am sure can live forever. but really what was said by you, it could fall, and there are new technologies that could replace bitcoin Its really difficult to predict the future of bitcoin, but present growth of bitcoin gives us an indication that everything would be fine with bitcoin in future too. |

I will not sell at this stage as it will not give me additional profits that I am looking for, I will prefer to hold it for next couple of years and will sell when price goes higher.
Well, this is not the right time to make the selling rather than an emergency. No need to hold for such a long time as there is no assurance about the increase or decrease in price after years. Agreed, there is no guaranteed that what will be the price at halving, so if you see some higher price then you can always sell to earn some profits from it. The price rose 10 times after the 2012 halving. So it is better to sell until the price rises at least 5 times. Sell only if you are making best profits out of it, and I really don't think that is the best time to sell our coins, price will get higher in coming months and that would be the best moment to sell. |

I personally prefer to invest in trading (mostly with trading bots). There are some nice offers (I`m testing some bots atm) fot trading bots for a small amount of BTC per month
Yeah investing money in trading is the best option as you can also make some good profits from it and would also prefer to invest some money in gold. |

Direct usage is lot available with the gambling websites. So I use bitcoin in gambling a little. Remaining will be saved in a much safer way. Only on emergency conversion to fiat takes place.

We will see. If the result of halving is good, which I believe it will, then 2017 could be the year for bitcoin. Well, for me each coming year will be if bitcoin is still there with great developments.  2017 will be different because of event that will happened a year before and that is the current year today which is 2016. The halving will stretch it's effect at the end of the year that will goes to the first quarter of the year. Hopefully it will goes good. 2016 haven't given us some good news yet, so how can we expect that what next year would be holding for us, everything will depend on the price of bitcoin. |

There are a lot of people with a smart mind that is holding now and that is because they are a lot of people that is waiting for a nice value and that they can sell it later with profit.
But the bad thing only is that it can takes a long time until the value will be more worth and that is really bad.
If you want to make good profits then you have to hold, there is no other option left for you, as it is expected that price will go higher in future so hold it till then. I think to make a good profit does not have to hold. but ok, if you have a great amount, hold is a good way to make a profit in the upcoming future. but if you do not have a great amount, it is better not hold for a long time. I think the other way, if you have less amount then you should hold it for a long time as if it reaches to $10k in future you can make good profits even with small amount, but if you have higher amount then try to trade and even small fluctuations can give you good profits. have a big or small amount, yes I agree it is better to do a trading, rather than hold for a long time. because trading can make profits in the short term and it certainly is. whereas hold for the long term it is uncertain. Yeah trading will allow you to make profits in short term so its better to invest in trading and start growing your coins and if you cannot afford to take risk then just hold it. |

It is possible for it to reach 3000 or 4000 Dollar at the end of 2017 but that means that the price really has to climb from know on. I rather think that it is going to be happening in 2018 or 2019.
Its just an speculation no one knows that bitcoin will hold value in coming years, and its really waste of time to keep on thinking about it. |

It will be better now if you are making an investment and that is because you also can see now that there are a lot of people that is thinking that the value will rise and that is nice.
But of course you are not for sure that it will rise but that is just the risk that you should take.
As long as bitcoins price is still low, it is better to invest and you can make a double opportunity for it. You can also buy bitcoins and just save it because you can also earn by just saving your coins. You can have it after the halving occurs. Looking at the current price of bitcoin I think this is the best time to invest in bitcoin as price will gonna rise soon which can give you best profits in future. |

Just wondering when everyone buys bitcoin, weekly, monthly or just on the falls? thinking of setting up something regular to ride out the waves.....  I do not have a regular schedule, I just watch the news and check the course and when I was satisfied with everything I buy Bitcoin That's the right thing to do, don't follow the speculations if you are satisfied with the price then you should buy it or wait for the right time to buy it. |

Me? I do have a day job and I consider bitcoin as my side job. I don't want to lose that another source of income just because bitcoin is awesome.
I am going to keep my job that is for sure a job is not only getting money but you get to know people as well. I like my job and making money with Bitcoin on the side makes things even better. Working on bitcoin doesn't need long time, you can manage it in extra time, and even if you earn less at this stage be satisfied with it, as its worth will be much more in future. |

You see also already that Bitcoin is becoming more used all over the world and that can be really nice because that would be the future payment method also I think.
And people have to make it also more acceptable so we can spend it more and that is the best thing that can happen for us.

The most people have a signature campaign and that is because that is an easy method to earn some Bitcoin with it and many people are using it so that is really nice.
But there are also more people that is making an investment because they are for sure that the value will rise.
Signature campaign is good to earn bitcoin but I don't think that can be helpful for kids as they need to have proper knowledge of bitcoin before joining any campaign. |

Little bit,bitcoin give positive impact on my finance since i know bitcoin is good investement and currency,when i'm in college also bitcoin give me little help to bought something,its good experience for me. but also i knew gambling from bitcoin,its bad effect from bitcoin.

Banks will not disappear at any cost.
Bitcoin will stay at its position and bank will at there.
Maybe someday banks/governments may invest in bitcoin..
I don't think governments will invest directly in Bitcoin as there is nothing with Bitcoin that interests them as Bitcoin stands for freedom. Governments want something where they remain their full control over the entire financial industry. Bitcoin can't offer that to them. Exactly and if they start supporting bitcoin then they will loose all their control on money that they are enjoying at a moment with fiat and it will end up their corrupted activities too. |

Most likely I'm gonna sell my bitcoins at the end of this year because the fact is that the bitcoin has a good future a head and I think at the end of this year the worth has been raised to a nice amount.
Holding coins till the end year can be really profitable, as it is expected that we can see the price of $1k by that time so selling at that price would be good. Price of $1000 expected? By who, by dreamers? No serious person with enough market knowledge will say that this year we'll see price anywhere near $1000. The price of $1000 is not possible in this year, may be we can see around $600 price by the end of the year, and I will be much satisfied to see that price. |

The price is so close at $500 and it is going to reach it very soon it can not take long anymore. This is very important for the people that want to sell there coins for this amount of money. It has to happen within these four months.

For long term investment,I may take gold but Bitcoin is quite a volatile investment and that makes it an appealing choice for those who want to gain in the short term. I would say gold and bitcoin are going to go up in value since they are both deflationary currencies.

I dont want to spent my bitcoins because there are allot of people who do and i dont feel that i need to do it. If others spent them i dont need to just waiting for a increasing moment and dont know if im going to sell them on that point maybe in about 20 years.
it was nice to not spend your bitcoin for something that is not important. but I prefer to spend it in a way to exchange it for fiat and save money in the bank. when the high price I would take the opportunity to sell, but if the price is low I will continue to hold for the next few years I will use it when the price is high. That is the same as selling it but not sell directly. So it will help the usage. Yeah I think holding it will be good to hold our coins for some time at least till the halving and its better not to spend our coins till we see the higher price. because most bitcoin users are an investor or a trader to obtain and collect bitcoin for profit. This makes only a few people who choose to spend their bitcoin. This is reasonable because most of the time of initial adoption is due to the high price of bitcoin. I'm sure a lot of people it is a trader Trading is a good way to multiply your coins, and everyone wants to try their luck on it to earn some extra profits over a period of time and is quiet reasonable. |

Quitting my job for the bitcoin is a whole sacrifice and I will never do this because I also have a family that I have to feed and because of that its not worth it in my eyes.
Agreed, day time job is better at this stage in compare to bitcoin, as we can never expect stable income from bitcoin, but day job offers you financial security. That's the reality that day time job is way better than having a bitcoin job since bitcoin doesn't give an assurance that you could get a well compensated job rather than the company that you are working with you day job. It is still depends on the value of bitcoins you are holding, if we are talking of millions equivalent of bitcoins then you can have a good income doing day trade earning at least 5% a day. However, in contradiction you need to keep your job if it is worth than your bitcoin portfolio today. The thing is if the bitcoins downfall happened (just for an example), and you are a full time bitcoiner. And you are trying to apply again for a daily job, I think your bitcoin portfolio or bitcoin experience won't be considerable by the employer since it is digital and there is no paper reference that can certify it. That's true and if you have descent gap in your professional job then no employer will entertain you and at that stage it would be difficult to find good job. |

I don't sell bitcoins also. I heard from some of my friends who are involved in bitcoin mining, that bitcoin will rise already this summer like twice. Well, if not this summer - I expect bitcoin will rise more anyway, cause of more and more people use it.
I don't think Bitcoin will rise twice this summer but I'm pretty sure it will be over $500 and that it will never fall below $490. Anyway the rising is inevitable so selling makes sense only if you are in serious need of cash. I'm hoping that bitcoin will rise this summer to $500 before the August comes. But it is better if it will reach higher price. I will sell my coins if it reaches higher price than $500. If everything goes fine then we can see this price at the time of halving, as now we are very close to reach there, So I don't think it will take longer time to achieve it. Everything will be fine just believe it that and bitcoin will do the rest as long as we are here that uses bitcoin. Demand is high and price will also increase in no time after the halving, we are too close from it. I have a strong feeling that price will go much higher after the halving, so we need to hold our coins even if we don't see best price at the time of halving. Me too, that is why I am saving already to invest, as a true bitcoin believer, we need to believe its power and by believing we should put our money where our mouth is. It is better to invest than gamble it in a casino. I am a believer of bitcoin. But I will only use it when it is cheaper to pay with bitcoin than other methods. Since all of people here are believers of bitcoin. It means that all of us will not really sell our coins before the halving. But I'm planing to sell it when it reaches $500. Majority of people are waiting to see that price so that they can sell their coins for some profits, but its taking too long to reach there, may be halving will show us that price. |
