Tip: Sign up, choose "multiple page document", specific 1 page at a time. Each page = 1 credit.

Thanks for the tip Matthew but ocr doesn't seem to work well on this document.  Maybe it's been photocopied a few times before being scanned.

If somebody can make it work either with OCR or the old-fashioned way, I'm willing to pay a fair price.

I need this repair manual in an editable format.

MS Word works for me, but if you have another suggestion I'm all ears.

Tell me how much it will cost me and when you can have the finished product delivered.

803  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MTGOX Withdrawal issue on: October 09, 2011, 11:21:08 AM
Still 100 btc/$1000 daily, but I didn't ask for an increase there.

I did ask for an increase to the monthly limit but I don't know yet if they did that for me.
804  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MTGOX Withdrawal issue on: October 08, 2011, 01:35:49 AM
I'm happy to report that my account has finally been unfrozen.  More than 2.5 weeks but at least it happened.  I successfully transferred some btc OUT of MtGox.

805  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MTGOX Withdrawal issue on: October 06, 2011, 03:49:39 PM
I have thousands of bitcoins frozen by mtgox for almost a month now, I sent them my documents two weeks ago but they have been ignoring me.

I definitely have the feeling my money is being used for something that I am not being told.

+1 I feel your pain.

I'm wondering at what point it makes sense to book a ticket to Japan and investigate what is really happening with my money.
806  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: MtGox and bitcoiners then, MtGox and bitcoiners now on: October 05, 2011, 11:27:52 AM
Hello EhVedadoOAnonimato,

If users do not want to submit their personal identifications and documentations to unfreeze their accounts, they may do so. Please be aware that we will eventually return all funds to the users whose accounts are frozen, but the date of revival is still undetermined.
What about the people who HAVE submitted their personal identifications and documentations?  Have any of them had their accounts unfrozen?  It has been 2 weeks for me and still you have not provided an ETA as to when it will be unfrozen, nor do we see many on this forum saying their accounts have been unfrozen.

What is going on at mtgox?
807  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Has anyone successfully withdrawn USD or BTC from Mtgox since September 22? on: October 05, 2011, 12:52:25 AM
As you may be aware, a number of user accounts have been suspended as a result of recently implemented tightened security measures which have identified these accounts as showing suspicious activity. These measures have been brought into place at the insistence of a number of banking and policing entities after an increase in the incidence of fraud, phishing attacks and money laundering being carried out using bitcoins to mask illegal transactions.

That's odd, because I've bought virtually all my bitcoins through MtGox, and done most of my selling through MtGox.  And this is deemed 'suspicious' behaviour?

I will admit the recent behaviour of MtGox is suspicious.  I didn't realize that implicates their long-term customers.

Get your act together.  It has now been 2 weeks.  I expect more than form-letter reassurances after that amount of time.

Came across this on zerohedge tonight.  Check out the close today and the close exactly three years ago.

 Shocked

Great!  Hopefully they will begin to answer their private messages.

And maybe one of them could respond to this thread:

I am trying to get my account unfrozen.
Have you been able to get your account unfrozen yet?  I'm still locked, with no answers from the Help desk or the user on this forum purporting to be Mt Gox support, or from admin@mtgox.com.

811  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MTGOX Withdrawal issue on: September 29, 2011, 03:35:53 AM
I just did a withdrawal from mtgox to Dwolla.  Took about 10 minutes to go through and confirm.

That's encouraging.

Then again, I'm not a raving anti-mtgox conspiracy nut, which pretty much makes me a paid shill by the standards of this thread.  So I don't expect anyone to believe me, nor to try it with their own account.

Really?  After being a customer with them for a year I'm now an anti-mtgox nut for wanting to be able to access my own money in something less than a week after providing documentation?  What would be 'reasonable' customer service in your view?

Thanks for the sample, private message sent.

Edit: Translation problem solved, topic locked.

813  Economy / Currency exchange / Has anyone successfully withdrawn USD or BTC from Mtgox since September 22? on: September 29, 2011, 01:13:48 AM
Around that time many accounts seem to have been put on hold, mine included.  Despite my sending in the requested documentation the account is still frozen for withdrawls (I can still trade however).

Have you been able to withdraw USD or BTC from your MtGox account?

Have you been able to get it unfrozen, if it was frozen at this time?
814  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MTGOX Withdrawal issue on: September 29, 2011, 01:07:17 AM
Has anyone out there successfully withdrawn cash or BTC since this withdrawal problem first came about ?

Good question.  My concern has reached a new level.  Sure would be nice to be able to pick up the phone to call them.
815  Local / Trading und Spekulation / German->English translation and document preparation job on: September 28, 2011, 01:25:20 PM
I am looking for price quotes to have this document replicated in English, both as a PDF and as an html page.  I would like it to look as close to the original as reasonably possible, price wise.
I would like it to use the same page layout, spacing and page numbering, but without the Alpina logos, parts images and other pictures.  Just leave a blank space where those things appear in the original.

Post or message me a PDF of page 3 as an example of your translation work.

Prefer to pay in bitcoin.

I think there are plenty of grounds on which to criticise the exchanges, but it's important to remember that people have the option of trading Bitcoins over the counter if they don't want to provide personal information or risk their deposits being frozen if they don't provide it.  The exchanges don't need to be the be all and end all of the Bitcoin economy.

The thing is, I HAVE provided all the personal information that mtgox requested, and my account is still blocked for withdrawals.

I'm trying to reduce my exposure to mtgox, but they've beat me to the punch.
817  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MTGOX Withdrawal issue on: September 28, 2011, 12:17:42 AM
Only a gigantic troll or a complete idiot would say that a company complying with anti-money-laundering regulations "raises a red flag." Sure it's inconvenient, but you're placing the blame at the wrong doorstep. This is one of the problems that Bitcoin solves very well, which makes every use of an exchange to obtain USD or some other fiat currency terribly ironic.

I've been a customer with MtGox for over a year.
More than a week ago they put my account under 'pending review'.  I submitted the requested documents.  I have followed up with emails.  I am in their problem ticketing system and I am still unable to withdraw even one btc.

I don't know if that "raises a red flag" but it sure is an inconvenience and poor customer service.

820  Economy / Speculation / Re: Someone is trying to manipulate the market (Mt.Gox) and are successful... on: September 22, 2011, 01:00:26 PM
I'm surprised people make such a big deal of this "the manipulator".  Powerful traders are the inevitable consequence of trading in a small free market.  For those that don't like this there are many large and highly regulated markets out there.

In the same way as competition encourages miners to use very efficient hardware, so to does this free market encourage traders to make smart choices.  I find myself placing blame for high market volatility on bad traders rather than powerful ones.  As more unprofitable traders are driven from the market, panic sells and unthinking rallies will become rarer and less extreme.  I take solace in knowing that we are evolving towards stability.

TL;DR: If anything, I'm more annoyed with "the manipulated" than "the manipulator".

Thank you for this.
If people are manipulated, it is because they are basing their buy/sell decisions on what others are doing, and not on their personal assessment of where bitcoin is going in the future.

Take ownership of your lives, people!
