801  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crossed $16,700 on: December 09, 2017, 12:10:44 PM
it is possible to reach $20,000 this week if many people is investing to bitcoin and if the bitcoin is in demand of course the price will increase and we're lucky if that happens because this year have been amazing to us.
It is very possible. Sure, a lot of people are expecting a major pull back but I see that as a time to even get into the system all in for the bull run in the future.
I am not even targeting now because we have had a year that no one could have imagined when we all started earlier this year but the fact that bitcoin is becoming the currency we have all been waiting for with the LN deployment, it is time to continue the moon journey.
802  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Transfer My Entire Savings to Cryptocurrencies? on: December 08, 2017, 10:20:34 AM
I would never put my entire saving in cryptocurrencies.

Let's be honest, it's true that the market is performing very well but you don't know what can happen, and you can't deny the risk to lose money (for whatever reason, I am not talking about to be hacked or something similar, it's something that you should take care with everything).

If you diversify your portfolio you minimize the risks of loss, diversity is a golden rule in investments. To be greedy often lead to the wrong decision, especially when you're young. Use a little wisdom, it will be more beneficial in your decisions
In fact, just like you said, every reasonable investor will tell anyone this. There are some things we do not need to allow greed to cloud our judgments.

Yes, it may turn out good; after all, if I had gone in $100,000 full of my saving in 2009/2010, I can imagine what I would be worth now. But the truth is no one knows the future and we are all at its mercy. Anything can happen, and as far as that is, one just have to consider it as a factor which could make one lose everything if one goes all in.
803  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do people actually buy coins with real life money? on: December 08, 2017, 08:43:18 AM
It is possible that people buy coins with real money when he or she is only just starting a trading,  we must have an profit before entering into trading. But some people dont use real money to start it.  Many some of them there money came from campaign which is their salary.
People do every time and if they do not, there is no way the demand is going to keep increasing. Does the OP think the demand is increasing because of those who are earning. Not at all! The reason why we see some huge spike and huge demand is because people are buying with fiat.

Coinbase and some other exchanges with fiat to BTC has had some huge number of growth in user base for a while now and that shows that people are buying every day and new investors are coming in.
804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Relationships! on: December 07, 2017, 11:15:29 AM
I think it's hassle if you are going to play gambling with someone. Sometimes it is uncomfortable especially when you are playing and thinking of him that was unfocused for me. And this seems destroyed my game and leading into losses. Sometimes it's better to be alone.
focus is required if one doesnt focus while gambling he wouldnt find out weather hes in profit or loss
he wouldnt be able to stop at the right time and might even miss your profits so always concentrate while
gambling
How will not you ever find out if you are in profit or loss in gambling ?
You do not need serious mathematics to do that or a special skill to know that. Once you get into the gambling game and you are sure of what you want to do or achieve before even starting, it would be not an easier for any gambler to make any decision to stop when it is time to stop. That is the reason many gamblers lose their relationships and hard earned money.
805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you even gamble? on: December 07, 2017, 10:30:00 AM
For easy money obviously and I don't know why gambling is really addicting to me even this gambling already cost me much money on it, I keeps coming back into it. I also think when I got a free time, I usually use it for gambling, I think that's why I always gambling because I also don't have any hobby.
I would rather tag it as fun than easy money. Yes, it is easy money. Although, the same way it can be so easy to win is the same way it can be so easy to lose everything. For someone who cannot accept the fact they can easily lose everything should not gamble at all, or should just gamble very little.

I personally gamble because I want to try my luck and have some fun doing so, and since I believe that sometimes, my luck may just not want to answer me, I accept it.
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If ICO fall down in 2018 then bounty campaign will be fall down too? on: December 07, 2017, 07:43:57 AM
If ICO fall down in 2018 , because many crypto expert are telling this, so, then bounty campaign will be no more , right? This is so bad news for a newbie like me.What should we do now?

That will eventually happen if there is no more ICO to be established, But I think there will be a lot of new opportunities for us if some of the tokens will also advertise to compete with one another, as we all know, This forum is the best way to advertise your token. Like Crypto Games, They are still advertising even if they already have so many players on their gambling website. I think after the ICO stops, this kind of advertisement will appear.
Tokens may not really want to do much advertisement like that. The main advert they always need has always been the ICO stage for investors to buy in. However, we cannot say yet as a lot of things may still change and in the long run, a lot of coins will be struggling to survive, so anything can happen for some who may want to advertise their projects, but I would not bank on that.

There would always be new projects that may not need ICOs and will need advert like gambling sites and some other services. However, note that crypto-games does not have any ICO, it is a gambling site.
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: a wallet for tokens? on: December 07, 2017, 06:50:48 AM
what would be a good wallet service to hold tokens?
Just make use of My Ether Wallet. However, you must learn how to stay secured using this wallet so you do not end up losing all your funds in your wallet in the long run. You can also make use of metamask, as this should really help as well and also make things easy for you. With respect to security, always be careful you do not end up on a phishing website after you have opened your wallet.

check NEM Wallet , is very good for tokens from multiple ico's.
With respect to tokens, I guess the OP should have specified if he is referring to ERC20 tokens. For ERC20 tokens, My Ether Wallet is just the best bet. NEM is a totally different platform and the tokens created on NEM platform can only be used on NEM wallet, so I would want to be careful I am not giving out NEW wallet address for an ERC20 token.
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which of the three COINS will you choose to invest in? on: December 07, 2017, 06:11:57 AM
My top three coins to invest are waves, stratis and deeponion. Deeponion is a new coin but showing strength and slowly going up and its developer team is very active doing many things to establish their coin, it can go to moon and can give you decent earnings in long term.
Once developers are active on a coin, it would definitely go up.
Deeponion sounds a reasonable one, but that would be some long term as there are so many coins to really beat to it right now. However, WAVES is one coin I am really looking forward to. It has not really had much huge stuff for it lately but the devs are working hard and I am sure when this project really gives the boom, then we should be ready for a bull run in the future.
809  Economy / Economics / Re: DO you think china was right to shut down Bitcoin exchanges and ICO? on: December 06, 2017, 03:12:22 PM
China had a reason why they shut down exchanges and banned ICOs. I cannot say if there was a hidden agenda, but according to them, what is being done before the whole decision was made was totally against their monetary policies.

Certainly, we can agree that China is quite a controlling nature, but that is their own way of trying to make sure that things do not go wrong in the long run. It was stated clearly that any exchange that wants to operate must have a regulatory license and banning of ICOs, is something we already saw coming anyway with the number of scams going on in the ICO world.
810  Economy / Economics / Re: Legalizing Bitcoin on: December 06, 2017, 01:51:53 PM
The issue of bitcoin legality that I think will be quite difficult because in some countries fear bitcoin can weaken the value of their country's currency and will make a monetary crisis. I think bitcoin is better to be a commodity as it is today.
Wise government who are sincere to give their citizens a better earning chance they never see any trouble in bitcoin and that’s true those who are negative thinkers they see the negativity's which never exist being neutral, bitcoin is the best chance to get development in the country and to raise the economy points and bitcoin promises to give profit and all these thing attracts the good governments that’s why they legalize.
The issue now is that most governments are selfish and they really care much about their pockets and the way they have been doing things than they care about the citizens. Like you said, governments who really have their citizens in mind will really not be bothered that much and they will only advise the citizens to just be careful most especially with the volatility.

So many jobless people have been able to use the freelance world to easily earn bitcoin and that can really help a lot with income flow into the country.
811  Economy / Speculation / Re: $70,000 anyone? on: December 06, 2017, 11:58:26 AM
This $70,000 may come sooner than 2020 halving if this positive trend continues for another 2-3 months and we pull out into the 20k area where the 5 figure pricing will start to look normal to everyone.
With the rate bitcoin is moving, that is definitely something that is possible. A lot of people are still very skeptical as to the movement of bitcoin right now with a lot of news going on with the bubble bursting and all that, but I guess only time will definitely tell in the long run if it is a bubble that is going to burst or it is the real deal and $70k by 2020 seems a possibility.

Price higher than that of $70000 has been predicted to happen, but the same is quoted with deadlines as 2020. The predictions were made in accordance to the halving that is expected to take place by the particular year. So, if things happen as predicted for 2018 surely growth will happen further.
Yeah, it has been predicted. A lot of prices have been predicted in the past which we are already seeing now. The truth is, so many news going around now, with bitcoin bursting or a tulip bulb have been said all this while to create fear in the market by those who really want to get back in at the right cost, but we won't give them that pleasure. $70k it is!
812  Economy / Speculation / Re: The rally will eventually end with a dip to at least $3K on: December 06, 2017, 10:44:41 AM
I dont know how high it will go but that is how low it will go. Just a humble call made purely via pattern extrapolation. Since you so strongly believe it will not happen, that is exactly why it's going to happen. I have no further arguments.

Your prediction is too low. In cases Bitcoin can go down as low as $3K there must be something so bad happening in the market causing such a development. Now, if there would be no big bad news, there is no possibility that it can go down on that level because every time there is a small dip or crash, there are people waiting in the sideline looking for that opportunity to get into Bitcoin. Just look at the charts for you to see what I mean. As long as there is a good demand, Bitcoin can continue on surging ahead. Now, if you are sure that Bitcoin can be $3k soon then the best thing for you to do is sell all of your Bitcoin and then wait for that big dip to happen. And good luck...
I am really even trying to picture how bad that stuff must be to really have that huge negative effect on bitcoin.
There are some values that the community should not expect and of course there is a lot going on right now with FUDs like this being generated by people like the OP to probably cause fear in the market.

This is outdated and will no longer work. The market is stronger than it used to, if the OP is basing his reason on the fact that we do not believe it ever will, and then his angle is out of it.
813  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee Bets His Manhood that BTC will reach $1 mil by 2020 on: December 06, 2017, 09:21:15 AM
Hope this happen as a bitcoin will make one a million in dollars and a multi-millionaire in my local currency. I have to keep 80% of my current holding till 2020 as this man know and have reason why the bullish momentum is going to make us going towards the moon in 3 years to come. McAfee is a great man and I stand with his comments over this than others financial expert that are  busy attacking bitcoin because there cannot control it.
You better do not get too greedy bro and end up blaming Mcafee for your predicaments in case anything goes wrong.

I am not saying 80% is not good, but you have to understand that everything is still predictions and no one really know what the future holds or how far it is really going to get to. The dude is going to be fine even if anything happens to bitcoin otherwise and I am sure he will have some reasons to give, but ask yourself, will you be fine
814  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: i lost 20% of my budget on: December 05, 2017, 05:45:55 PM
If I were you I will cut lost immediately.
Look at the chart of altcoins from May to today.

Never hodl altcoins. Trade and sell short-term 1-3 weeks.

You will see many better altcoin that sounds better than old ones. People will rush in those new alts and leave the old ones to death.

Look at the chart. NEVER HODL ALTCOINS!

HODL the STRONGEST COINS on the CMC: BTC, ETH, BCH or LTC your choice.
I have always seen people saying be patient, do not worry they will get back up sooner, but normally a good trader should find the best form of exit even before entry and 20% to me is still something very good now as far as I am concerned.

It is good most times like you said, to cut loss, and get back in a better position if possible. I have never been comfortable holding alts for too long; except for some I got from trading and decided to hold for the long term in my wallet. For trading however, it is a No! If they do are not going the way you expect, let them loose.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Already lost 50% of my capital on: December 05, 2017, 03:32:24 PM
Hello guys. I just want to ask for your opinion or an advice.
I started trading since May 2017. I calculated all my loss, I already lost 50% of my capital  Sad. Some coins are still in hold.
I just want to ask what can you give to me an advice or any learnings  about trading. I'm using bittrex.

The best advice that I could give you is that, you should be patient because trading is not simple and it is risky. That is why you should keep an eye on the news and you should keep an eye on prices. Buy low and sell high, avoid following what others are telling you because it is your money, make your own judgement when trading.
It is not at all and most times, newbie traders are always busy looking for the quick profit. Everything in the trading world requires some patience most especially when you have made the mistake of taking the best decision in the first place. Nothing lasts forever and the 50% loss may end up being a 50% profit tomorrow.

I remember buying into cardano some few days back and man, that was some huge cash that flowed in. The good thing about trading is that, if you know what you are doing, you can hardly make the wrong call, and even if you make the wrong call, you will get out before you even know it.
816  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading vs holding on: December 05, 2017, 11:07:44 AM
Under what circumstances is trading preferred over holding?
Btc reaching 10k$ way before new year is a big shock, your opinions would be very helpful.

They are somehow the same for ne because on trading there are two things, you can either loss profit or gain profits because not all coins that you will trade will be successful that has a bigger price. While holding on the other hands you can also lose some or gain some because the value of bitcoins and all the other coins are volatile they always goes up or down. And the main difference for me is trading are active while holding are passive income because you just need to hold it and do nothing.
The thing about all of them is just the risk level. We hold with the expectation of seeing the value increase, and we also trade with the same expectations. The difference here is that trading can help you increase what you are holding in quantity and quality as well as decrease if you do it wrongly.

Holding on the other hand, you only have the quality at your disposal which is the value of what you are holding increasing or not. It just depends on the level of risk each person is willing to take.
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning Bitcoin *NEW FORK DECEMBER* LMAO on: December 04, 2017, 03:20:16 PM
This is just getting ridiculous. These people just see Bitcoin Cash having some value to it and they're jumping on the damn fork train. This shit is going to die down so fast. I'm going to be selling it as soon as I claim it.
Ridiculous is an understatement. The last time I checked, forks were meant to make the system better not to start being anything anyone would just wake up one day, then decide, it is time I get my pockets filled up, let me drop a fork announcement. This is just a joke as far as I am concerned and any fork that does not make any sense should be considered as shit because that is the only way bullshits like this can be stopped.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to See the Future of Altcoin? on: December 04, 2017, 02:36:26 PM
Some altcoin may have advantage that bitcoin doesn't have. That's why many ICO occur recently as they compete each other to be better than bitcoin.
Altcoin still have a potential and yield more profit compare bitcoin but it's difficult to select the correct one. That's why most trader already prepare for loss and dare to take the risk for unexpected profit !

Yes, you are right. Investment on altcoins is risky with high payback. And I think it is a good investors to hold some btc or ETH as long term investment since the future is bright.
Really risky and we can only be expectant that some of them will do well later on, but we cannot really tell even if the ones we expect will end up not pushed down the ladder in the long run. It is a huge market and a lot of them are trying to compete for space to at least stay relevant.

Just like in the outside world where we have competition with companies trying to stay on top of their game, so we are going to have it here and not all of them, even those that seem perfect now, will make it to the end.
819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your view about lending coin? on: December 03, 2017, 03:07:56 PM
What is your view about lending coin?
Bitconnect, Hextracoin, Regalcoin, Firstcoin and many more.

I just see profit from lending, where is that profit from?
I think Bitconnect is the pioneer in this concept but their promise of daily interest and almost 1 year of holding your collateral is very risky. You might be able to earn your capital back in two to three months since interest that Bitconnect promises can go as low as Zero and as high as 2%. Vitalik already warned investors about this kind of scheme.

I am with this user right here is to risky and lending somtimes lead to none paying users who receiveds coins.

If I were you should never barrow and lend bitcoin or coins. Just for me you cant trust anyone but if your the one who wants to barrow be sure to pay it. Other have post what you need to read and know.
At this stage, the adoption of bitcoin is not so huge and that is really what piques me knowing that a time will come when this adoption will increase hugely and then with the value of bitcoin being like this now, what it would be like when that time comes.

Adopting is not something that is easy, it takes time, and usually when it comes to technology, the geeks and those who are a bit I.T oriented are always the first to grab it and then we gradually start seeing some laggards at the end of it all.
820  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bit coin hit 25000 USD on: December 03, 2017, 08:03:48 AM
It is possible that Bitcoin will hit more than $25K USD at the end of 2018. During the time period, maybe two or three more Bitcoin's hard forks going to implement (maybe some Bitcoin platinum, titanium, millennium etc)

Just fasten your seatbelt, sit tight and ride the Bitcoin's rocket up to the moon  Grin
Hard forks are now becoming a joke and people really do not see their relevance anymore asides the fact that they are just in the market to create nuisance. Bitcoin whatever they may want to add in front of it are just some form of scam for them to enrich themselves, bitcoin will keep going higher and a time will come when even the devs of those shitty forked coins will end up dumping their coins for bitcoin.
