801  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bounty for retrieving the 3 Icarus from Wildemagic in Lightning Ridge Australia on: October 02, 2012, 07:36:10 PM
I asked the people in his signature whom he had successful transactions with.  Luckily one had kept the box from him and that was the return address.  The box was postmarked from Lightning Ridge so even if the name and box number is fake he is in that area.  I am following up on whatever lead I can.

(I filed a police report but doubt they are going to do anything.)

Relevant posts:

I have a 1.7Kw offgrid solar power setup, where I am its a remote mining town in lightning ridge Australia.

I run 4x icarus and a 5850 from my array.

Its not a cheap option, but it works, the array cost about 6-7K but I needed it for power in the first place, so now I just 'sell' my excess power through bitcoin mining.

You couldnt run a GPU farm economically but fpgas work fine.  I get 1.5GH/sec @ 100w from the fpgas and 350MH/sec @ 100w from the GPU.

I also have wireless internet, so im not connected to any form of power or land line internet.

kind regards

He's clearly reading this thread since he took down his pics.  Jon I am an elephant.   I will never forget or forgive.  I WILL pursue this until I get justice, even if it takes decades.  You have scammed the wrong person.  Please send my btc back and let's end this.

Well from the posts here he seemed like a pretty reasonable, responsible person.  That's why I trusted him.   I almost never go first and the one time I do...boom, scammed.

Humanity is gone.  Fuck all of you.

807  Economy / Scam Accusations / Bounty for retrieving 3 Icarus from Wildemagic in Lightning Ridge Australia on: September 25, 2012, 02:02:03 AM
I sent Wildemagic 102btc for 3 Icarus.  He never sent anything and instead PM'd a fake tracking number.

This is the info I have for him:

Jon Allison
PO Box 1847
Lightning Ridge NSW
Australia

From what I understand it is a relatively tiny place established solely for the purpose of mining Opals.  It is way up in the north west of New South Wales.  It's probably so small that nearly everybody knows everybody else.  It would be a trivial matter for somebody that lives close by to go have a talk with him.  Just camp out at the Post Office until he shows up or just ask around.

(Bounty outdated and removed.  PM if interested.)
808  Economy / Marketplace / Verizon Wireless Account with UNLIMITED Data Pack - iPhone 5 compatible. on: September 23, 2012, 12:52:08 AM
Selling my 4-year old account with grandfathered unlimited data pack for 70btc.  These data packages are no longer available.  Look at how valuable the Sprint SERO plans are now.  This account will only go up in value.

You will get the R2D2 phone as well but it doesn't really have any value.  Just a bonus.  After I receive payment we will call Verizon and do what is called an "Assumption of Liability" transfer.  Once that is complete the account will be 100% yours and you can then transfer the data pack to whatever phone you like (including iPhone 5).  You will need to pass Verizon's credit check and/or already be a customer in order to assume the account.

Warning!  DO NOT use the "Upgrade my Device" or "Buy iPhone 5" Buttons!!  If you do you can kiss the unlimited data plan goodbye.  In order to transfer the unlimited data plan you need to use the "Activate or Switch Device" button and transfer the service to an unsubsidized phone - one that is already paid-off and/or retail new.  This can be done entirely online.

Here is a list of people in his signature he supposedly had good transactions with:

[219.5btc of successful trades total] with : rastapool, miernik, flatronw & OneFixt

Going to contact them and see if I can get a name and address.  Have always wanted to visit Australia anyway.

810  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: wildemagic scammer on: September 19, 2012, 12:17:58 AM
was supposed to send me a hd 7950.  i sent him 150 in btc and was going to send more during a pay off period. he sent me a fake shipping number. I was able to create my own shipping number  that says international shipping, but it does not have any events just like the one he sent me. it has been over 2 weeks since he has responded to one of my pm's.

Scammed here as well.  Sent him 102btc for 3 Icarus and received a fake shipping number.  Does anyone have "real" contact info on him?

I honestly just can't debunk complete fabrications or "facts" that are so far removed from reality as to be almost incomprehensible as to how they could even have been related to reality in the first place.

Besides a couple of dates, everything else is basically fabricated or has a tiny grain of truth around the giant nugget of shit and I'm not about to get my hands dirty pulling all that shit apart.   Come back with some facts or grab hold of the new fad called reality and maybe we can talk.

cheers for the lack of public information concerning the validity that Butterfly labs is a legitimate business, and for the waffle to avoid sounding like your just insulting..

so back to the main question.. public records??
trademarks
incorporation details
state registry details

you know the public stuff.. I am not asking for the intellectual property stuff that should remain a secret..
you can keep the KFC colonels secret recipe a secret.. Cheesy
just where's the public record stuff..

you know the stuff that should be in your employment contract so you can show the IRS when you pay taxes on the income BFL give you.

its not that hard to muster up...

best bet is to just own up that BFL in simple terms is a 'living room' industry. you do not design the microchips, you use ready made technology(FPGA) designed by third parties and slap your brand name on it.
but i dont require the intricate details of your manufacturing secrets.

so lets just stick with the public record stuff

trademarks
incorporation details
state registry details - tax - permits etc etc etc

<wait for more waffle with no public information provided>
Careful.  Common sense around here is frowned upon.  People invested big coin with somebody named "Pirate" (you deserved to be scammed).  At least "Butterfly Labs" gives you a nice warm fuzzy feeling...
812  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL SC / Jally first picture? on: September 16, 2012, 01:55:40 AM
The Bitcoin community has made BFL rich on nothing but words.  It is irrelevant whether or not they develop an ASIC .  BFL has won.  There are even people sucking BFLs balls in their signatures praising them for a product which doesn't even exist yet.

While I think it is really shady to be taking pre-orders this early and tie up peoples money (at 1% a week from the regular lenders, that's an extra bit of change) for all that time with no release date...  but I bet a lot of people will order anyway if you just provide this basic proof requested..
Really?

That's infinitely amusing considering the mining community has made the BFL folks fiat (maybe even btc) millionaires with impunity.  How dare anyone try to compete with the BFL overlords.

Baaaa.

the left top fan is a Noiseblocker BlackSilentPro PE-P 92mm. the right one is a Noctua NF-B9 PWM.
I would say the noctua is quiter, but it is hard to say cause there is not that much difference at all.
I'd guess both fans are running at full speed as they are connected to the BFL Single.
Sorry, I meant what bitstream(s) are they running?

(Guess it doesn't really matter since I ordered 6 of the Noctuas yesterday...)
