804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You think ICO Investing Is Worse Than Online Gambling on: September 08, 2019, 11:50:02 PM
Taking into account the nature of ICOs I can say both look likely the same; in ICO you don't know what will become of the project as there will be a good public sale success and the team will come up with baseless reasons not to list, exit scam or use the working on our product reason to delay listing. To make it worst, they might even list in an exchange not worth it, which in all cases leaves investors with little or no gain. This is sadly the nature of majority of ICOs with few being the good ones now makes it look like gambling. On the other hand, in online gambling there is no sure way to success other than trying your luck. Thus my reason for saying both look alike.
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ARE ICOS STILL LEGIT? on: September 08, 2019, 11:39:31 PM
We heard the news of IEO to be in place of ICO in order to curb the high rate of failure and scams in the development of altcoins projects in this year 2019. My surprise is that I still see series of projects claiming to be in ICOs. Doesn't that make them scam as we have seen in the same scenarios in the past?

If it is, I wonder why people still invest whether their time or monies in such projects which have high risk of loss or being scammed.

I can't say if they are scam or not because they know what they want. I have seen a project which did ICO this year and it finished as fast as possible as if it was IEO, and the team proceeded to list on a good exchange thereafter. So we can't tag them scam until we study them to know what actually made them stick to ICO rather than IEO. I think one of the big issue with ICOs is listing, where a project can have a good ICO success and listing will be an issue, but in the case of IEO, you know exactly what to expect.

806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My eth is hacked ........ on: September 08, 2019, 11:32:51 PM
There is nothing you can do to stop it because since he have the private key, you guys are now sharing the same wallet with equal access. The only thing you can do is to forget about it and move on with a new wallet and in this case ensure to write down your private key in different places you are sure it will be protected; since you said it's virus which you might not know how it happened, I think writing it down is the best way so you don't make same mistakes again.

808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In the end, the developer who made the token becomes junk! on: September 07, 2019, 05:27:40 AM
You are right, but however I think it takes a good team with adequate knowledge and experience to run a project anything short than this always ends up as junk. This is true, because depsite the market situation there are new projects coming up and having good public sale while continuing developing their platform while there are those that finds it hard having a good public sale and of course ends up as a failure, so I think the success of any project depends on the team.
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why exchanges most interested to launch IEO? on: September 07, 2019, 05:24:02 AM
You have stated good facts also, I think one of the reasons why exchanges are interested in launching IEOs is to stay relevant thus making sure they IEOs they chose are the ones with good chance of success, thereby with this success rate will attract more thereby giving them more popularity and money. This is the reason why major exchanges IEOs are always a success, however after IEO the exchanges washes their hands off leaving the success of the project to the team.
810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in multiple altcoins on: September 06, 2019, 11:53:38 PM
You really did well by buying or allocating a larger portion of your funds to Bitcoin. For the aspect of altcoins, I think a good portion should go to Ethereum while you pick other three like Pundi X, BNB and BAT; these coins have good use cases and good chances of giving worthy returns. This is my own opinion.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The best Dex Exchange on: September 06, 2019, 11:48:51 PM
I heard about it from a friend but still yet to use it. There is need for more efficient DEX as the have proven to a greater heights to be secured. I think one of the issues facing DEXs is lack of user friendliness as seen in forkdelta and thereby if this can be solved in addition to speed, DEXs will stand a better chance of striving more than CEXs. However, there is a DEX I have used once in a while known as DDEX, I think more improvements needs to be done. Thus, if Volentix can offer speed, good UI, efficient and fast order book it will beat most DEXs.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is whitepaper important in the project? on: September 06, 2019, 11:43:04 PM
Is it important to research the whitepaper in the project? then is there a right way to find out if their whitepapper is real, not fake? What do you think?
The whitepaper is one of the most important requirements before launching a project as it is based on the idea of the team thereby telling investors what they are to expect; if the team ends up going against what is the whitepaper rather than improving it then shows something is wrong and in such cases the investors are likely to abandon the project. It's funny how most projects copy others while forgetting whitepaper is meant to be unique, as it serves as a guide.

814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange asking to Login thru Facebook on: September 02, 2019, 07:18:26 PM
If that feature is added of course it won't be mandatory and there will be alternatives like prominent email. As for me, I can't login or create account with any exchange using my social media accounts, I don't see it as a wise move instead we will continue releasing our personal and financial data the more.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Attitude that can shape the altcoin sector positively on: September 02, 2019, 07:14:08 PM
For me the most important questions are: Why your coin deserves my money? and Which problem your coin will solve?

These two are the main problem in altcoin sector, the problem is not investors, advertising etc, there are tons of coins whithout any reason to exist, it's just a whitepaper and nothing more
You raised a very good point, there are many projects in this space but yet only few are really on the right track with majority going down the drain after token sale. The funny thing is, most developers are quick to shift blames but yet lacks the ability or knowledge of what they actually want to achieve other than beautiful whitepaper. So until projects start defining their existence, they will continue having issues.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How crypto exchanges secure our funds? on: September 02, 2019, 06:31:05 PM
There is no crypto exchange that is safe enough to secure your funds, although to an extent decentralized exchanges tries their best. The best way to secure your funds is through storing your coins in your personal wallet which you are in charge of, anything less than this is risky; that's the truth. Binance being one of the biggest exchange was hacked, thus confirming my statement, let's be careful with our funds.
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Multiple Round ICOs? on: September 02, 2019, 04:37:38 PM
I have seen some of those types of projects, once the first ICO or most times pre-ico is successful and they set out to develop their platform, in the near future they will still carry out another round of ICO to source for more funds. On the other hand too, is projects which still sell tokens on their website or platform even after a successful ICO. Nevertheless, it depends on the genuineness of the project, there are some which succeeds with the multiple round ICO and some that won't.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The best exchange in 2019? on: September 02, 2019, 04:26:59 PM
Hello friends, I want to ask about the most widely used exchanges for daily trading. Is Binance the best or Bitmax? Give your reason, aside from the volume. Nice to wait for your opinion here.
You mentioned two good exchanges, but however you want the widely used; the most widely used is Binance exchange. It has good volume while the trading is made more easier owing to their easy-to-use mobile application. On the other hand, Bitmax is good too with its nice UI and nice volume. The truth is, you hardly see a trader trading on one exchange, in case you want to trade on more than one, Bitmax is good for it.
819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized exchanges are more secure. on: September 02, 2019, 04:18:16 PM
In Decentralized exchanges Funds are more secure.Your funds always stay with you.  I think that they are the future of all asset exchange.
In centralized exchange you've to transfer
your crypto to exchange if they get hacked
 all users funds are gone.
You are right because till date decentralized exchanges offers the best type of fund security unlike centralized exchanges. But in both exchanges they have their differences and also why one is preferred over the other. Decentralized Exchanges, despite offering higher security still lacks speed which is seen in Centralized exchanges. Also, decentralized exchanges lacks good UI as compared to their counterpart. That is to say, speed and good UI are the reasons most prefer centralized exchanges.
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance's IEO vs Huobi's IEO : Which is better? on: September 02, 2019, 04:11:57 PM
Within both exchanges, they have recorded a good number of successful IEOs, but however the have their own limitations. No exchange is perfect but yet there are some which tends to be better than the rest and this case Binance stands out. Despite the hack which took place, Binance is still proving to be a good exchange.
So in my own opinion, I think in any exchange we find its IEO appealing, we should partake as both offers same thing, which is a good return.
