801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Still A P2P Electronic Cash System ?. on: October 14, 2023, 12:09:17 PM
If you have bitcoin, you have the full control over your coins. That also means that you can do whatever you like with your coins.

Don't forget about the condition, Only if you have your Bitcoins in Self-Custodial Wallet.

Bitcoin is a P2P means of making payment, but it has appreciating value as its price is increasing as there are more demand. That is bitcoin by design, even if not included in white paper, and that has been one if the reasons people adopted it.

Well, that's obvious, with the characteristics. No matter how others take it as an Investment opportunity, their safe mode with inflation as a store of value or Jewelry to show off (Just Saying), Their life fortnight life changer etc, etc, It was a P2P payment mode and it will be by default.
802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How To Accumulate Bitcoin More Effectively In Any Market Zone on: October 14, 2023, 12:02:11 PM

You have a valid point, I honestly, did now know the terms, like semi mid term etc. I searched it on AI and asked about it and it says, mid-term investment is less than 3 years and long-term is longer than 5 years. I don't know if this information is accurate, but I am aware of the types of trading and also know how long a trader holds on his/her trades, and if that limit crosses I start to call it to hold. And that's a maximum of 1 year.

Dear the time span of all these short to long-term investments can vary from market to market or perspective to perspective, as you know here in the Bitcoin and crypto market a one-year investment is considered a mid-term investment. Information can be wrong or right here but what matters is the source and the point of view of explaining the cycle to the end. You can compare the interval between the stock market and Bitcoin to authenticate what I'm trying to say.

The Investment category falls under the total cycle timeline in your analysis if the cycle is 4 years 1 year is short term and 2-3 years is mid-term and 3-4 years is long term. So what matters is the total timeline of your analysis. Here in the Bitcoin market we generally consider every analysis of zones based on the 4-year cycle.

I tend to favour long term HODL because I have found that more effective and comfortable for me, which also allows me to maximize profits. In other words, long-term HODL allows me to grow in wealth, and as you know, the feeling that you have aged for the future has a way of adding to longevity.

HODL can be really a good approach in both terms to maximize the returns and to avoid any FOMO and fear with market momentum, in other words a risk management proof strategy.
803  Economy / Economics / Re: The economics of war. How does this affect us all especially us in crypto? on: October 13, 2023, 08:03:40 PM

To all in Ukraine vs Russia I hope for peace.
To all in Israel vs Palestine I hope for peace.
To all in China vs Taiwan please keep the peace.
Kashmir is missing from the highlights .. Also we all want peace but according to the human physiological cycle it's not possible in any age, Still, I hope all will end with peace, Standing with the Peace Talks Solutions.
War's are not the solution but it's a dead end for every country.

In Israel vs Palestine, I hope for peace, currently, Palestinians are the ones who have been victims for along time.

Which antivirus will you prefer for malware? I used Avast,node32 and Avira some years ago but all these antivirus delete my necessary files and also hang my PC, so I uninstalled and never used again so far.
If we doesn't click on any site nor delete then still possibility of any malware attack?

Buddy as long as you don't bypass your own security by installing the software from third-party sources and cracked versions of the security firewalls provided by the Windows itself. No need for additional layers, avoid clicking suspicious links and you're safe.

I've encountered similar issues back in time but after I realized my own few mishandlings, after that never I realized to have antivirus software. Hmm yes, buddy if you follow never click on unwanted sites, and don't install any third-party sourced software you can go safe without any antivirus software.
805  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the advantages of trading BTC pair? on: October 13, 2023, 04:12:31 PM
You will only need to sell your Bitcoins for USDT if you don't deposit fiat money on the exchange or if you don't hold stablecoins. Sometimes it's better to hold stablecoins than Bitcoin, especially if you need to withdraw money from time to time and don't want to have to convert BTC in fiat when it is potentially at its lower price.

Hmm, Senior that is really considerable holding some of the stablecoins is really important for emergency funds, savings etc etc, even while planning the finance in risk investment markets we cant ignore the importance of stable money. I explained the most suitable currency holding the crypto market cycle in my above post.

No doubt Bitcoin is top of the line but according to the market conditions  and sentiments we need to plan our moves, buying the dips requires the stable currency even planing the DCA for regular accumulation requires the stable-crrency.

807  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know When to Stop. Lesson for Everyone, Particularly Investors on: October 13, 2023, 02:01:37 PM

Investing in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general is more of a marathon than a sprint. You'll likely be part of this market for many years, and during that time, you'll witness significant fluctuations.

If you ever catch yourself hurrying to make a trade – Pause.

If you become irritable when someone interrupts you as you analyze your investments – Pause.

If you're consumed by doubts about whether buying or selling is the right move – Pause.

If emotions start to dominate your decision-making – Pause.

Except for point, No. 1 I think with the rest of the pauses I can definitely agree with OP, Emotionless traders are really rare, trading makes you emotional less here just a caution, Analysis is important for a confidential decision at least the analysis provides some logical grounds about your position.

The trading game revolves around how efficient your decision-making power is and decision-making requires logical grounds, analysis of sentiments of the market, etc, In the volatile market your quick pickup of decisions helps you generate profit, always keep in mind that you are not alone this market understand the physiology of the opponent hehe.
808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The difference between bitcoin and cryptocurrency. on: October 13, 2023, 12:46:57 PM
I've come to realise that many people still don't understand that there are other cryptocurrencies apart from the bitcoin,

So, what is cryptocurrency a form of digital medium of exchange, Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency aka a Digital medium of exchange and now at the same time other digital currencies in the crypto market except Bitcoin are Altcoins (Alternate coins), cryptocurrencies hold a few common characteristics as pre-described supply (tokenomics),
Quote
a mechanism used to regulate the creation of blocks and the state of the blockchain it can be Pow/Pos or any other consesus
. Now here in the crypto world coins as Bitcoin & Altcoins driven by a new digital class called tokens (tokenization) they hold a different set of properties.

The Discussion does not end here in Altocins, there are shitcoins, memes NFTS etc ... I'm sure every crypto beginner at least apprised of these terms.

King is King BTCitcoin better to study it, avoid to waste most of your time on the shitcoins ..

yes the bitcoin is considered a cryptocurrency but they're two things altogether, bitcoin is the supreme digital currency and all digital currencies around the world are known as cryptocurrency, it is an form of currency be it digitally or virtually that uses cryptography to secure it's transactions, whereas bitcoin uses a decentralized ledger called the blockchain to maintain and secure a transparent record of transactions.

What?? Transactions are not secured by cryptography because there is no encryption on the transaction details except for the public addresses and private keys, Transections are secured by the proof of consensus whether it's POW POS or any other used on the blockchain. In other words, this public or private ledger is called blockchain which secures the transaction. It's too confusing OP is better to create topic after a good research and analysis (Count it as a suggestion, not an attack).
809  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 12, 2023, 07:50:47 PM
There are so many folks who have not yet gotten into bitcoin, so for sure making it through a full cycle is nearly putting you at OG status... give it another 10 years, and you will likely really be starting to feel that you have been a bitcoiner for like forever, especially since I suspect that we may well still be having half or more of the population without any or hardly any exposure to BTC... and sure it is hard to say what the level of BTC's adoption will be in the next 10 years - perhaps in the 10% to 20% range?  That would be bullish.. ...

I would like to be surprised with higher levels of adoption.. and so many crazy things could end up happening in the next 10 years.. and I hate having doom and gloom thoughts.. so maybe it is just easier taking one day (step) at a time.

Have you reached your BTC accumulation goal, then if not keep accumulating.

If you are in your maintenance stage, you might be accumulating and liquidating.. so attempting to keep some kind of a meaningful balance.. not easy with such a volatile asset.. even when some of us feel that we have decent systems in place.. we still might have some questions regarding how to manage/maintain it.

As I'm here for the rest of my life I will keep counting on Bitcoin, In the coming cycle I'm sure around 20% to 30% population is gonna recognize Bitcoin as their priority.

Bitcoin accumulation goal, you mean that amount well for now I am not sure about what should be the specific number you can say untill now it's X, but I'm on the way.

Hmm, it's hard to say but with the passage of time my physiology about Bitcoin and the market is much more mature now, so most of the time I can say I've done well in handling the fear & FOMO.

811  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the advantages of trading BTC pair? on: October 12, 2023, 07:23:23 PM
I want to know why there are so many pairs available to trade on exchanges.
Does trading with a bitcoin pair help us save fees in any way? For example, if I need to trade other altcoins, I need to first sell my bitcoin for USDT and then trade that altcoin with the USDT pair. In this process, I need to pay a double fee, so trading directly with a bitcoin pair will save me fees in any way?
How will I profit if the prices of altcoins match those of bitcoin? When I trade with the BTC pair, both will rise and fall simultaneously.

Hmm.. Bitcoin valuation compared to the USDT, I'm not sure about the fees, but in terms of valuation it can be really helpful if executed smartly, It can be the future adoption of many users, just try to analyze the BTC pair with any coin and USDT pair with any coin and now compare the trades profit/loss there will be a huge difference. Stablecoins are risk-free pairs from most traders' perspectives but if you're a Bitcoin the BTC valuation mindset can be your greatest opportunity.

Let's understand it properly with the cycling movement.

♦️ Pre-Halving (Bitcoin ✔️)
♦️ Halving (Bitcoin ✔️)
♦️ Post Halving (Altcoins ✔️)
812  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Recommended non KYC fiat on ramp(s) - "whitelisted" by tradfi banks on: October 12, 2023, 07:01:32 PM
It is difficult to find a service that does not accept identity verification and has activity with banking systems, and even existing ones may be able to do this through some banking loopholes, but once the platform grows and has a large user base, identity verification procedures are necessary,

By the time the platform grows, to proceed further and avoid any sort of legal action they mostly change their working policies such as additional terms & conditions with identity verification etc, etc. At the initial times, it's hard for the users to trust the new platforms but with the passage of time, they prove themselves reliable their change in the policies makes it unreliable for most of the users again.

Still, some people compromise with their identity.
813  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Something dangerous we do when using Binance P2P platform on: October 12, 2023, 12:15:24 PM
I strongly believe this is how the victim lost is phone number to strangers, to make some transactions a success, and yet losing your data in the process, I hope this teach people something new today. Roll Eyes

There are many other disturbing terms from the buyer's side on Binance P2P, I would highly recommend never trade accepting these terms better to find a local dealer for cash payments, 0 terms, and most safest option.

Even if you are as well tricking him by giving a wrong/fake number still you are giving him a number, sometimes these terms suck. I have seen many of my local fellows using the Binance P2P at a time I was also using it regularly for both buying and selling purposes but when i di realized the outcomes, I made an instant exit from it.

Better to be honest with your identity, and keep it safe rest of the things don't matter, identity abuse is very common here so be very careful with such deals.

Debt time bomb

Tick...tick....tick.....

Biden borrowing binge driving ‘unsustainable’ rise in global debts, warns IMF
https://uk.yahoo.com/style/biden-borrowing-binge-driving-unsustainable-175346283.html

I made a post on it a few weeks back in time here, this Tick....tick is going to end sooner, and the worst-case scenario we are going to face gonna destroy the whole economic cycle. It really doesn't matter now the gap is too big $32.6 trillion to $23.32 trillion.

Any chances of Bitcoin standards ??
815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of reserves? Insurance fund? Best I can do is a random number generator! on: October 12, 2023, 11:58:15 AM
Exactly. It's happened many times before. An exchanges goes bankrupt because of their own shady practices or because of a hack, so they either launch a shitcoin and "pay" back their users in this worthless shitcoin instead of bitcoin, or they just print a few hundred million of an existing shitcoin out of nothing to keep themselves solvent. A prime example of this is Bitfinex and Tether, where they printed almost a billion USDT out of nothing and gave it to themselves after they were hacked and insolvent.

Still, people consider USDT trustworthy, it's all the game of valuation, there is a need for the realization that the value we need is not a stable currency it is Bitcoin. I'm afraid until we are gonna learn there will be another.

I couldn't image if Binance is bankrupt, how bad is the chaos affecting Bitcoin holder since most of people hold their funds in Binance.
If this mishap is really based on truth, then the cover of this disaster, i.e., Binance Bankrupt, will be beyond imagination. Why are 150 million people connected to Binance with their assets? If Binance shuts down or goes bankrupt, it may cause a sell-off panic in the cryptocurrency market due to the sell-off in the prices of bitcoin and other coins.

This is the hit I'm talking about, non-custodial holdings are the only solution to avoid it but it's a hard job to educate people for the possible outcomes. SAFU is not a sign of reliability, it point out something better to make an exit.

If you've not been following the FTX trial, you really should, because the level of fraud on display is enough to even rival that of CSW. Here are two snippets of code (pictures courtesy of https://nitter.cz/molly0xFFF) which have been submitted as evidence in the trial. This code is regarding FTX's insurance fund which was widely publicized:

The first picture above shows how the value of 5,250,000 FTX Token supposedly in the insurance fund was "calculated". It wasn't. It was just coded in. insuranceFund.size = 5250000 FTT. Cheesy

The second picture above shows how the value of USD in the insurance fund was "calculated". The daily trading volume on FTX was multiplied by a random number, and this was used to adjust the insurance fund to a new size. Cheesy

This is the kind of bullshit centralized exchanges are using in their "proof of reserves", "safu funds", "insurance funds", "collateral funds", "1-to-1 matching reports", and all the other trash they peddle to convince you your funds are totally safe. Literal random number generators. They will do and say anything to get you to hand over your coins to them. Don't fall it.

almost 10 years of bitcoin for me.. .. life before bitcoin and life after getting into bitcoin.

My 10 year anniversary in bitcoin is in May 2024. Hopefully we have an approved spot ETF by then & an ATH maybe.

I was a fresh faced mid 20’s noob back then. I have done very well from bitcoin but my God, it ages you.

Haha weird, but my birthday falls in May, and the surprise or gift you're considering could very well be the most remarkable birthday present. Speaking of gifts, there's a promising prospect on the horizon – the approval of a Bitcoin ETF by April 2024. This will mark my fourth year of being involved with Bitcoin, which, in its own right, feels like being an early adopter. But regardless, I can't wait to see what the future holds! for me & BTCitcoiner

In the loving memory of Mt. Gox. .... love you buddy.
yep.. Got it

819  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance Founder CZ said that, Copy trading now live on Binance. on: October 11, 2023, 06:07:21 PM
I was expecting something better from Binance, but until now I haven't explored the copy trading option in Binance maybe because of the regional restrictions or lunching phases, etc. I will give it a try but I made some bold comments on the copy trading strategy in the pas few months because I had encountered many failure stories in my locality with this strategy and I have a pre-build view of how it works and ruins the trading career of manies.

Copy trading is good for testing, educational, and comparison purposes a really good and considerable strategy, even with luck some of many can make money out of it, but its like fast food not good for your health. Better to focus on skill development and not waste time on such stupidities.
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: While Hodling, Don't under estimate the importance of selling. on: October 11, 2023, 05:59:29 PM
We all know that Crypto is a long term investment but not all. Many people buy memecoins and some other coins with no use case to make money but they listen to influencers and keep holding after making huge profit to later end up at loss. Always remember that these Altcoins cannot continue to go up forever. Selling at profit will surely make you buy more at low price if you believe in the project.
Also, selling is important in most cases because its same as taking profit which is risk management, brings peace of mind and lock you in gains..
Selling at the right time also allow you to diversify your portfolio.
Note : This isn't a financial advice but my own strong opinion according to my experience.

OP I do agree with the perspective to are talking about, but I think most of the people here are the long-term accumulators except for those who are entering new, so for that particular category I don't think selling really matters because in their case the longer run accumulation not the profit booking on the time, even they can adjust their average accumulation by selling and a point and than re-entering the market on lower price, mostly they prefer safe play with DCA.

I'm a person who prefers the strategy adoption according to the market sentiments, I do believe in DCA but I consider myself multi strategies, accumulator a constant accumulation + extra accoridn to the market moves. Taking risks rewards more that's a fact. Adopting the hybrid strategies opens a wider range to play on the field but being specific limits the risk and rewards as well, The DCA is good for the newbies for those who have tasted flavors of the market before their own strategy will work more effectively.

People always say they are "HODLers" until they lose 50% net worth over night.

It will spice up things if you consider the Bitcoin valuation scale rather than the shity fiat money with terrible inflation + unlimited supply and so on...
