801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: January 27, 2024, 09:08:54 PM
Being addicted to gambling can be a thorn in the flesh. We have heard many bad behavior from gambling addicts that shows that gambling is a serious concern requiring serious efforts at curbing it. Many casinos also include in their disclaimer "gamble responsibly" and this shows the danger of gambling addiction.

However, I'm wondering if addiction can make someone become aggressive to the point of leading to domestic violence. Has there been any known case of it happening? Lets know what you have to say.
This is practically the base action to every gambling addict and believe me my friend you would be surprised to what gambling addiction can do in the life of a chronic gambler. When it comes to gambling addiction and domestic violence I really can count the number of cases that am well familiar with and most of them are involving the issues of the woman giving advice to her husband for the excuses for him always squandering his money and the man lashes out all his frustration on her like a panther waiting aimlessly for his prey.

Lots of factors including but not limited to gambling leads to domestic violence. That's why most families need to work hard at rescuing a member who find it difficult getting out of any form of addiction. A family with a good intention for the growth of their ward would endeavor to save him from struggling. Although it only gets worse each day, neglecting a family member is quite not easy compared to one would get if he was an acquaintance. Domestic violence can erupt when the family isn't capable for controlling the addict's behavior. Things also get rough along every line of the healing process. Hence, one shouldn't think they'll wouldn't be some grievous encounter between the rescue team, his family. Addiction is as injurious to the addict as it is to the parent or family. People hardly withstand pain without getting enraged at any unwanted behavior. So, we are expected to see a domestic violence in such situations as gambling addiction.
802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 27, 2024, 08:55:30 PM
People who gamble regularly are more addicted to gambling. Regular gamblers face losses all the time, the mind-set and brain cannot control properly when involved in gambling for a long time. So gambling breaks must be given, if the gambler does not take a gambling break at the right place, then he will become completely addicted to gambling and will only face losses later on. Two days a week should take a break from gambling, 1 decision from experienced gamblers ratio.
If the gambler also gets the gambling jackpot and if he gambles continuously then he is sure to lose that jackpot again. Because gamblers do not develop their normal common sense unless they regularly pause their bets. As a result, he will lose any bet he makes. There are many of us who have won big from gambling but my question is how many gamblers are able to keep those winnings? Those who cannot take a break from gambling are sure to be addicted gamblers who cannot be expected to use their money properly.

Gambling offers multiple possibilities, and a player requires to understand his chances as a gambler. Being able to gap the days and time at which we gamble helps the gambler to stay positive. For instance, going for vacation and taking a rest from gambling activities, can help a gambler to regain his consciousness. And also change from compulsive to responsive gambling. Lots of gamblers would win if they were having fun in the process. There is no joy in losing, yes, but it's just a game. One should not feel disturbed because he lost a football match. If he chooses to be sad, minimizing his wagering speed and duration occurs, giving it a break is crucial. It surprises me to see the gamblers going on to stake money again on same thing that got them worried, hoping to get happy through the act. Such happiness doesn't stay for long, provided the gambler wagers money every day.
803  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who does gambling addiction affect the most? on: January 27, 2024, 07:52:27 AM
That sounds as a fear to the society despite having few people who care about whether this happens or not. But it's clearly happening right now in most societies where gambling activities thrive. Every environment where its habitats gamble a lot would most likely product young people who would engage into gambling as well. Hence, taking a child aware from an addicted parent can be a better way to train them, or the child grows up to be a gambler. Addicted one, maybe. Their brain being too weak to condone lots of things they see or experience while gambling, can easily get the person depressed in the process and bother about why they're suffering so much on a specific life habit. That's why it's not good to focus on gambling alone. A kid in such an environment has no option to choosing several other habits or activities, than gambling. Due to the constant gambling reminder, where he lives or grew up, the society.
Providing children with the understanding that playing gambling carries risks is a way to get them to stay away from gambling from an early age so that when they grow up, they really stay away from gambling and will not try it even if their friends invite them. They will see adults around them who gamble and experience lots of losses and lose their money so that will be a lesson for them in avoiding gambling at all times. They even see the adults around them who have become gamblers who are addicted to gambling and also see the impact it has on them and their families, so they really don't want to go near gambling. And families will be the biggest affected by people who are addicted to gambling because they will lose balance in terms of their finances, so this only creates new problems for them. If they can focus on other things, they will not return to gambling too often because they have found an activity that has more potential to provide entertainment and can also make money. That is enough for them that they don't need to gamble just to get entertainment because they already have a substitute for other activities.

Children have retentive memory but easily forgets an inconsistent subject or training. They prefer following up with what they're being thought. Same things happen to adults, but an adult can forget to remember. Among other online gambling criteria, remembering discipline while gambling is hard to withstand. Hours after gambling, one can begin to reminisce on the experience he had and the promises he made himself. Both of which wouldn't rhyme. When in action, the brain thinks differently compared to when at rest. Gamblers have challenges to resolve while gambling. And it needs the help of an experienced gambler to teach youths. Having an experience gambler as father, could be tagged lucky. It takes a good gambler to save a compulsive gambler, especially when they're close relative, friends, father and son. A home that has no gambling expert could remove such problems by taking their children away from a gambling community. Failing to secure the safety of the kids can put a big trouble in the family. One who doesn't know about gambling may find it hard counselling a gambler. The terms we use also plays vital roles in starting a healthy conversation that will take hours to end.
804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risking 1% in Gambling on: January 26, 2024, 06:43:53 PM

Losing is common, not to be down bad for money, one should learn to moderate the bankroll. A gambler should be applauded for managing his funds successfully while gambling. No need in choosing the amount of money to wager, when we can't keep to it or maintain the process for a long period, not without consistency. However, gambling 1% of our income is the best gambling strategy since sliced bread. Although most gamblers have not failed to fall victim of gambling compulsively, more than they are able to lose. It provides the gambler a better control over his finances. Gamblers require some accurate means of sticking to the strategy without withdrawing, to be able to succeed in maintaining their bank roll. Going for the money puts an end to a great gambling technique. Lots of gamblers have obtained such acumen through their numerous years of gambling, but at some point, fail to keep up with the task. What then causes that, other than emotional instability.
1% of income is really something that it is really that safe for someone who do really be able to have that kind of gambling allocation on which it would really be just that best that you should really know on what
you should gonna do. This is something a very good way or having the discipline on spending up money for gambling on which you arent really that able to get past 1% but i highly doubt that people would really be able to retain out such numbers considering that once people are really that getting involved with gambling is that people would really be that too impulsive when it comes to things and this is why
they are really that putting themselves on such potential impulsive on which it might really be that ending up for you on getting addicted.

This is why it would really be always wise that you should really know at least on what you are doing or else you would really be putting up yourself on such
condition on which you might really be that ending up on getting miserable or devastated because of it. This is why you should be careful.

Being able to efficiently maintain the strategy is not a rocket science, but can be if the winning begins to creep in. The gambler would need extra choices to deal with, whether to go for more money, or stay gambling bit by bit. These thoughts are a form of distraction, and the gambler could find himself making some mistakes in his gambling journey. As the secret to gambling for a better purpose, is based on concentration. Retaining accurate thoughts always and the ability to mingle around other strategies for the same purpose of being on a better side of gambling. I think gamblers need to invest more time making plans than building up loans or piles of failed bets. The essence of wagering lots of money with the experience of losing more, doesn't sound like a good idea to any responsible gambler. Who cares over his career and family, gambling could ruin both, but can't, without money. The money we allocate to gambling should be minimal and not stand as a threat to the family's growth or economy if the player losses his money gambling.
805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: January 26, 2024, 06:24:54 PM
If a gambler plays game with his savings and stops there when he's got no money left, it'll be better than taking loan for gambling purpose. Meddling with our savings is wrong, but it's bitter to gamble with borrowed money. The fun of gambling disappears the moment we begin to wager borrowed money. The player will have to stay worried at all times, especially when he losses the money. Yes, with determinations, the gambler can save himself out of the trouble, but it's rare to solve. Unless the gambler has other good streams of income, that wouldn't be a torn in his flesh. Not having a clear plan or decisions about staying responsible as a gambler, may cause a dangerous experience for the gambler. The goal of such gamblers revolves around making profits, and whatever idea that pops to their mind would be utilized regardless of the risk. They jump over the need to have self-control, because it seems to them that the strategy will reduce their chances of winning big. I'd say participating in gambling for money, alone, affects the thoughts of the gambler. Most of them who reason this way, probably will lose their self-control. Thereby endangering their financial economy to an extent of being in deep trouble. Which may cost the happiness of the player and introduce them to addiction.
More accurately, the joy of gambling is peeled back layer by layer after the times we lose and when we get to the stage of getting involved in things like borrowing, that moment is just the moment when the wild beast within ourselves frantically searches for what has passed, screaming and advancing with too thoughtless heads, then responding without any response, once again the fierce beast was injured and needed to be cured by loans. It is also a salvation and responsibility for yourself, but it is not necessarily good to rush headlong into fighting. A little tolerance and peace will sometimes reduce a lot of loans and losses.

It almost ends in loan for most gamblers. A good reason to stay careful with those rush and fierce entangling with the minds of gamblers who has lost a lot of money. Looking at other scenarios of losing out money in a business, most people would want to get the money back by consistently trying the business, with hopes of getting to the top of the business someday. If a gambler is careful with his newly developed habit, he can easily find a better means of moderately chasing for his loss, without thoughtless heads as you said. The mistake emerges from doing things with no reason or responsibility for our money. What is most important as gamblers is the money and mental health. Both may be interconnected in the human brain, losing money and mental health. Such that when one continuously loss money, his mental health would be affected. Gambling is a choice, not like a con, players should take charge of the privilege.

I agree with his mother that he should stop gambling, because gambling is quite dangerous for a person if it is not controlled by oneself. Moreover, the effects of gambling addiction can unintentionally affect a person so it is better to avoid it.

Yes, his stipends are for his upkeep while in school, not for gambling purposes. Joggling both habits for another, will mare the aim of his pocket money. He could be responsible, but won't play like a pro. His actions need to be observed for his good. Nobody has ever opened up easily about their gambling troubles. Hence, it's important that the uncle and mom try to get close to him and engage in casual but not simply casual discussions. He should feel relaxed talking to his parents about what he feels about gambling. From his information, one could determine how far he's gone into gambling and if he's undergoing any stress trying to maintain and enjoy his habit. Distance shows no help to this condition. The discussion session with the child or boy should be once he's back from school on weekends or holidays.
807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risking 1% in Gambling on: January 26, 2024, 05:39:50 PM
OP, this is exactly how strategy should be used in gambling. So that you don't have to lose all the money you earn by gambling and become destitute. But if you gamble two to three days a week, budgeting 1℅ of your income for gambling is reasonable enough. Or if you are gambling one to two days in a month then I think you should increase your % rate so that you can gamble to your satisfaction. As for me I would say, I gamble two days a month where I budget 3℅ of my income for gambling so that I can gamble to my satisfaction.
Yes, that is more than enough to use for gambling so that is a limit that he must obey and will not violate even if he loses. He must be able to understand that losing from gambling is a normal thing and there is no need to regret it because we also don't use a lot of money so we won't be too sad. If he wants to increase his percentage amount, he should recalculate how much he is spending to see if there is an opportunity to increase his gambling money or stay at the previous percentage. Everything must be based on calculations of income and expenses so that there is no disruption in finances.

Losing is common, not to be down bad for money, one should learn to moderate the bankroll. A gambler should be applauded for managing his funds successfully while gambling. No need in choosing the amount of money to wager, when we can't keep to it or maintain the process for a long period, not without consistency. 808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: January 26, 2024, 07:34:00 AM
I think many of them known or have an idea on how much they're going to lose but they just turn their eyes blind when they're already losing.
Ego is hard to beat and recovering is much easier to think of than accepting the big losses that someone might have.
Those that can't track their losses or don't really track at all, many gamblers do that. They're having hard time in figuring out how much budget they will do to gamble.

That's when they go too far because at this rate they cannot stop themselves anymore when they use the money they aren't supposed to. Others are moderate when it comes to their gaming and that can also lead to addiction for others especially if they develop hyper-excitement when they are playing this happens to lots of people when they have lots of buddies who often play with them because it's not a matter of habit anymore, it becomes a matter of prestige and merit on who will gonna win big and they compete with that without taking precautions of the consequences in their future.

When one who isn't focused at locating or targeting his punch is fighting, he's actually blowing the air. Such people usually losses the fight. Because they've got no target and don't have a strategy to win the game. That's why gamblers who chase losses are mainly top losers. As it's not a planned act. Most of the practitioners of the method do not execute it on purpose. I'd say it's an impulse that drags them like gravity to do those things. Gambling requires planning and sticking to those plans, if preferably cheap or economical. Staying active in our ways of wagering money and devising other method if not satisfied with the results we are getting from our previous or current strategy. Chasing on those lost money is more like going after air. Not being able to know where your moves or launches are headed. Such gamblers are not encouraged to continue repeating same strategy over and over, especially when it doesn't work as expected. The fun of gambling should be crafting out great ideas and methods.

809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You will do in this situation? on: January 26, 2024, 07:18:00 AM
I doubt if he's unaware with sports betting, most casinos already have slots, table games and sports.
He's very much aware of sports betting, football is the most popular sports in the world and its betting platforms are readily advertised on different platforms  even most time while watching it, they set out time to advertise different platforms as have  subscribed with the channel. We see such during half time breaks, before and after the match. Even thinking as ads When browsing, so the awareness is widely created.

Now, there something with preference, the guy prefers slot games and probably, it makes him happy, the allow him play slots and live in peace. You might even be surprised he still plays soccer betting too, but has higher preference for slots.

Time is required for a gambler to change his preference. The feeling of changing games often times doesn't work for every gambler. There are gamblers like me, that mainly play specific games and try to learn through them. During periods of repeating the strategy, I understood our prediction could get better depending on how much time we've invested playing and observing the game. However, the strategy also depends on the type of game. Hence trying to make changes on some attitude of a gambler, requires lots of time. People hardly change. Although they'll definitely think about it. Luckily it works just fine, but if tries that and fails. He'd definitely have Op at the back of his mind, as the cause of his misfortune. Sharing advise directly to a gambler is not simple and needs more guidelines than people or gamblers may think. They have no slightest inkling of what the gambler would say or think about the advice. So, it's better to add that you felt advising him is fun and great than you both staying calm and not talking to one another. He should be aware of taking full responsibility in the future, when he decides to adhere to your instruction.
810  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who does gambling addiction affect the most? on: January 26, 2024, 07:02:09 AM
Indeed, it won't be a sound encounter for the growing children. Coming from a family where the head is addicted. What then would be the fate of the child. Not all the children will get addicted or follow the ways of their father, but it'll be a hard experience on the end of the child. As he'll think bad of gambling and those thoughts could affect the brain of the child. I could remember a thread of a guy angry over what happened to his addicted father. He in the thread, wasn't addicted, but he has no reason to give gambling a chance one bit. He may have taken the best choice, most people would say, but on the long run it's bad to hate an activity dreadfully. Not saying it's his fault, no. The father is the bad player and has proven himself an irresponsible gambler, for making his family hate gambling because of him.

This era should be the best time for parents who engage in gambling, to fight for the wellbeing of their children. To make sure they don't get addicted into gambling, or understand what gambling is about, and not have hatred on gambling. Following the trend, and how fast the gambling industry is growing, most family will have at least two gamblers, and a society a few more gambling addicts. This can be controlled with the help of the society, making a strict rule against problem gambling. So, that the kids growing up would know what's in for them if they ever get addicted in Gambling. Addiction is quietly disturbing the growth of the society's economy. Addicted players should be looked into and helped out of their struggles.
Children will experience the hardest impact because apart from experiencing mental disorders, they may also experience other bad things. Meanwhile, his family members will also experience the impact where they will be angry with their family members who have become addicted to gambling and do things that are not good for their children. These children who should be able to enjoy their childhood and adolescence must experience bad things which will make them depressed and irritable because they have seen the anger of their father who lost at gambling. They will have a rapid change in attitude that the people around them will not notice.

Yes, parents should focus more on guiding their children because it is easy to get information from the internet, which can be misused by their children. If their parents are addicted to gambling, their children will have no one to guide them, and it is possible that their children will take the wrong path where no one will be able to supervise them. If they have already taken the wrong path, this will continue until they are adults, and it is not impossible that their children will get involved in criminal things that they should not do. And before that happens, parents should immediately realize their mistake and carry out the healing process from their gambling addiction so that they can recover quickly for the sake of their family and their growing children.

That sounds as a fear to the society despite having few people who care about whether this happens or not. But it's clearly happening right now in most societies where gambling activities thrive. Every environment where its habitats gamble a lot would most likely produce young people who would engage into gambling as well. 811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling life could affect your relatives lifes. on: January 25, 2024, 09:01:10 PM
not the same, but in my opinion these two things have their similarities too, the similarity I think is addiction, because in my country there has been viral news of young children who are still in middle school, 1 or 2 children who are addicted to gambling so that they have problems with their mentality that goes crazy with the position of their hands always like holding a cellphone and their behavior that applies them like they are in the game, of course this is bad, and in my opinion this is the same as gambling. the bad effects are still there.

I myself will not give money to my family members if they are fond of gambling or addicted to gambling, because in my opinion if they already get a loan at the beginning, then the chances are that they will become even more courageous to take actions that are beyond reason.  with them taking a loan and then using it to gamble again. Of course they will get into trouble, one of which is with debt, and I think people who are addicted to gambling they tend not to accept advice or feedback from other people, so it could also be that with them already addicted to gambling they can release their responsibilities so that the debts that must be paid by them are borne by their own families, so I think it's true that gambling can make us a more stubborn person.

That's really a tough experience for children in your country. I've not heard of this, and it sounds quite scary. The brain of kids are quite very vulnerable to mental disorder from computers. They grow up watching screens, and it's hard to get over such thoughts. Had a kid in a neighborhood who jumped off a building believing he could swing like the spider man with webs in his hands. Such that are not done normally with the senses of the person. These are caused by the numerous screens surrounding a child in his lifetime. Hence, these occurrences are getting quite too hard to bear. As they'll be not acceptable possible means of reducing or stopping entirely the use of gadgets for children. Parents purchase gadgets a lot and don't moderate the rate at which a child spend online. Being on screen for long hours not only bothers the mental stability of the child but puts his sight at risk.

Who is to be blamed? the society. Because they hope on the teachings and upbring we offer to them. A child doesn't just wake up to gamble. He's been around a clique of gamblers during his lifetime. Aside gambling the video games also put a child's brain at risk. Most of them begin to try what they saw on TV. Meaning the actions on TV glues to their brain, and almost control them. A child may not be able to differentiate between his actual behaviors and when he's been influenced by addiction. So, they'll invest more time on the process, until they'll hardly accept to change or avoid gambling or videomaking. As they think it's the only place where people like him wouldn't put some stigma on him.
812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 25, 2024, 08:43:50 PM
Is there anything like guarantee bets, I don't think so because we should already know how gambling works and what we can expect as an outcome of it when we have a good chance of winning with luck, aside from that, no one can predict a game 100% right at all time and this is what makes it impossible.

For me then, there is no such thing as sure bets or even anything close to that at some point because we have a well good knowledge and experience of how the systems work, so we don't fall for such claims and promises.

The gambler who make the betting can’t be sure about the winning,So he should accept the result. The result may be the positive if the betting based on the real strategy towards the game.If the gambler made the betting using the random game, the results will be the negative one.The luck was the important one in the gambling site, many people who had their luck in the gambling can make the big winning using the random betting itself. The prediction of game was not sure, but withdrew their capital when the game move towards the loss will be the better decision. The experienced gambler will do withdraw of their initial at the time of loss.

Nothing as such. Gamblers who depend on the research and prediction of an expert, only say that the game is guaranteed, because they were told it's sure and accurate. It's just a marketing plot to get them to purchase the prediction. It's also a form of attaching the thoughts of the gambler to purchasing the predictions, often times. Was once looking into those service providers on social media. I noticed that they end up explaining to the gambler why they lost the game. And such thing wouldn't happen on the next game. Probably, some predictions would be profitable. Once a gambler confirms few wins from the expert's prediction, he would continue using the services. More like the player is now addicted to purchasing gambling predictions. Hence, yielding more sales for the self-proclaimed expert.

The experts always try to use the intelligence of the gamblers against them, creating another game in the player's gambling experiences. Convincing a gambler completely, to use their services, is a different game. Because they now make money from the gambler's money, on each the gambler wagers. Hence, it's crucial to know the sources we get our prediction, preferably free and work, if possible, towards it. Most times the players argue over who is the best provider. And hardly believe that these experts can provide predictions that won't work. Such reasoning blindfolds the gambler not to see the why, he didn't win was the expert's incompetency in sports predictions. If a person is able to manipulate the scores of games, he can be a competent sport gambler. But, if such people don't exist, then sport gambling has no respect for anybody's predictions, be it an expert or not.
813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: January 25, 2024, 08:18:08 PM
in my opinion it is impossible for this to go smoothly, it could happen, but not with the benefits that can always be obtained, therefore in my opinion it is almost impossible.
It's quite memorable that gambling for a living is a very difficult task. But nothing is impossible. Purposes and source of income plays a vital role in any decision a gambler takes or embark on. Those who wish to make the money for such venture through gambling won't achieve the goal. While those who take out a whooping amount of money from a different business and venture into gambling as a career wouldn't fail easily. If he's well prepared and knowledgeable about gambling. Knows he is timing, when to stop and make changes. However, it's almost impossible using online gambling. In our last conversation, I was letting you know about other sides of gambling. It shouldn't be looked at in one perspective. Everything has both sides. Humans don't think the same. People have other means of generating money through gambling like selling tips, books etc. which is not only based on the money from prediction. Such gamblers don't owe much loyalty to the house anymore.

Although it sounds businesslike, and gambling shouldn't be taken as one. But when one wants to take gambling as a career, then it automatically turns a business. He'd be doing nothing else other than gambling. Which isn't a good route of business to follow especially for people who depends on the motives of the player, being making off the house. Even if the player is well prepared and ready to do it, he'd definitely get tired somedays. Because he's isolating himself. Soon he wouldn't find it peaceful spending time with loved ones. The psychological effect of taking gambling as a career is not worth the stress of the business. I think the player should focus more on regulating his gambling habit to stay on a better lane of the race.
814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You will do in this situation? on: January 25, 2024, 07:57:24 PM
If you were in this situation, what would you do? Introduce him to sports betting or let him stick to playing slots. Yesterday, I just let it go but we still often meet at other activities.
Nothing, I'm not a type of person who like to interfere what others do especially if I do not know them much.
It is not even your business, so why do you need to be so confused on what to do when you know that he is playing slot game?
Do you think that if you suggest him to play sports betting, will be something better for him?
Even if it is your own best friend, as long as he is enjoying what he does with slot, why do you need to introduce him about sports betting?
Maybe he is also gambling on sports already but you do not know about it, how if it is happened and he has better knowledge than you about sports betting?

Sometimes gamblers can care about others, as a means of sharing information. The only weird thing is that Op is getting obsessed about the encounter or intro he shared with his friend. Though such discussions mostly end void, as you said. Because the difference is not much between soccer or slot games. Which may have led the gambler to slots, despite his vast knowledge of sports. Some gamblers, however, accepts the thought that sport gambling is profitable than slot games. Yet come out to argue that gambling is not profitable. They wouldn't have been need for slot players to exist if the sport game is quite a better source of money in gambling. Most people prefer playing slots because they don't understand fully well about the match. Sports gambling is very passionate. People gamble out of passion for a specific team.

One reason sport gambling is much difficult compared to slots. A football fan focuses on few factors as team possessive values. Who plays for which team. Those assumptions don't result to a sustainable reason to wager money on the team. It's better the person stays playing slots where he gambles out of luck. And possess less time to invest, looking up for team statistics before gambling. A slot player only bothers about his duration and money he wagers, while he enjoys the game win or loss. But the football type of gambling leaves the gambler almost worried and hyperactive, when watching the game and sober if they lose the match. Such feelings are not preferable for a gambler. Slot players who behave this way would easily get addicted, same as the football gambler. People only think that the slot game has more of addicts than sports gambling. Yet they're both gambling activities, which still revolves around the general rule of self-control and money management. Both offers high winning possibilities.

How can one control the uncontrollable urge to keep gambling despite the toll it takes on once life.

It's getting worse every day. I'm extremely depressed I have thoughts of unaliving myself more often, some times I feel the betting companies manipulate people spiritually to get them addicted where be playing without plans and strategy. Once a bet place get cut, there is this uncomfortable urge to quickly book another one with the plans of recovering the first money lost but it will end up cutting again.
the question you should ask yourself is if their is another thing that gives you joy outside of gambling. The only reason why you could be facing this situation is possibly because you don't have a serious job you're doing they is taking a good amount of your time if not you wouldn't even have that time to think on making it a must that you have to recover a money that is lost in the process of gambling.

It's a bad habit and you have to discipline yourself to know that gambling isn't a job and you shouldn't expect that you are always going to double your money after you've placed any bet. as a matter of fact, the best way to gamble is to do it at your own pace, financial strength and convenience. once you are going about gambling as though your financial success depends on it, you've successfully endangered yourself to becoming a serious addict.

Gambling is not a job, if Op is taking it as one, he's making a huge mistake, but if he got to this stage of gambling out of ignorance, I think moving away from his current location would do. Hardly will he change in that same place, as his body and brain have adapted to playing gambling in that region. People dealing with any sort of gambling disorder can easily travel to visit friends who engage in other activities. Which can distract his interest in gambling for a reasonable period. When he gets back to his home, they'll be a difference. Gambling activities can be continued, but it will never be like before. Because he has somehow gained control over himself, during the days he was not participating in the game. Hence, as gamblers being conscious of oneself is required. The ability to determine what works with you and how beneficial it is in making life changes.

Because whatever therapy that is given to people it works differently for everyone. There are people even when they travel would look for a place to wager bet. Since the online platform allows for a personal gambling experience. It should be used to an advantage of doing what we know how to deal with its addiction. The whole control is on the human brain. People who struggle to change actually, needs to be talked out of it. As the thought of gambling has scavenged a reasonable amount of their thinking. So, Op needs help not an instruction or advice alone. He needs to tell close friends about his trouble. Their actions towards it could save the Op from undergoing such problem gambling.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 24, 2024, 09:30:44 PM
reanalyzing the analysis of the experts will help the gambler to have a firsthand information on the predictions and why it was kept the way it is by the expert. That would be extra work for the gambler, coupled with the amount of money he has paid to the expert. Many wouldn't want to engage into such stress again, they'll wager the amount of money that looks substantial for a big win on the prediction, because it's from an expert. The gambler would think it's accurate, then he'd definitely make it big. That's always a bad experience for gamblers in money aspect. In most case if the prediction works at some point the gambler won't stop buying the predictions. He'd stick to it despite seeing he's not winning anymore with the expert's help. It's fine that we may not mind wagering more money, even when we are losing out money.

But of what use would it be patronizing, over and over, an expert who contributes to the losses. It'll be great for the gambler to do it himself, since no difference is spotted. The player may get luckier using his prediction compared to what the expert has to offer. I've realized that gambling requires not much stress, doing lots of research and analysis. Investing little time predicting the game can be profitable than reading all the sport channels for hours trying to know what a football result will become in the next few hours. What will be of the match will be, and no amount of research would change it. The casual prediction has worked for many gamblers, including myself. Those games you thought wouldn't be positive or yield profits, ends up playing in your favor. While the ones we think is sure, ends up disappointing us, the gambler.
At least, it will increase gamblers' knowledge, which will be useful for analyzing other matches. And if they can get useful lessons, they can also improve their analytical skills to be even better because they can get lessons from other people. It may make him spend more time than usual, but it is worth doing because this can help them improve their abilities. But if they don't want to study the analysis and place their bets immediately, they won't understand what and how the person who predicted the bet can get the analysis results. But if they don't want to study this analysis, they can reduce the amount of money they bet so they won't lose as much if their chosen team loses.

Indeed, gamblers must be able to learn this analysis so that they only depend a little on other people's predictions and can search for and obtain good sources of information to provide the data they need. Obtaining this data requires time and practice to find the source of the data. Of course, by looking for the data source, they can get this information, which they can then use to analyze each match that will take place. Becoming a match analyst takes time, and you cannot get this ability quickly because we have to learn continuously to improve this ability. If they can get analysis from a pro, they will also increase their knowledge, improving their analytical skills.

Well, the truth is I'm a little more expressive about knowing who they are, do I consider them to be professionals? How do you consider yourself pre-professional? Why can someone win 10 times in a row and already say that she is a professional? I don't know, but I have a criterion that for me to be a professional is and has to fulfill only one thing, that is to make transactions, bets, whatever with money close to $1M, for me that is a professional, because risking money like that , for me it is professional, otherwise I would not consider a person professional, and even less so in gambling or in a casino, of course the same applies to people who trade, that is why I consider someone who is worse if and only If you handle that amount of money, they are not restorative to me, but considering that they are influencers, that there are many people who do not trust those people, well, it is something that I do not immediately launch into believing them, because they could be lies, Influencers base their audience on pure things that sometimes don't make much sense.

A person who can be considered a professional is that, that he has options with that particular money, if not, for me they are not, however, a person who has some good results, puts them and buys them, who made the bets , that he saw what he gained, what he lost and that his gains are greater than the losses because he is someone for me who can stop him and gives importance to his advice, otherwise I believe that he trusted my analysis more than that of another That's why when I'm in any type of bet, I always see what is most likely to fall, or if my prediction goes with the most stable standards as far as the team is concerned, then I have the best of all. The analysis does not guarantee that If you can win, it may be that something happens in a sports game that invalidates all the previous analysis because in sports sometimes extraordinary things happen.

A professional gambler is not an expert enough to win all the time whenever he wagers. But ranking them to be those who own or wager about 1m dollars can still not be right. There are several celebrity gamblers who wager huge amount of money, but only do it for fame purposes, and may not have a single interest knowing about how gambling works. Would they be considered professionals? I think such people can be tagged rich gamblers. However, one who is a professional is being expected by people to have such an amount. But somehow even if he's won a huge sum of money in the past wouldn't qualify the gambler as an expert. So, gamblers are expected to have some criteria for qualifying an expert. Like Luckmcfly does. It's a nice idea, so that you wouldn't have any reason to bother about doing that research over and over, the person you bought prediction from meets all the criteria, automatically he'd be trusted. Though nice, but the player wouldn't stay patronizing the expert forever.

Learning during the period with the professional is also important, at least to build the intelligence of the gambler. That's why the need to look into the predictions would be a better idea. Few people have access to a professional gambler who owns such influence capable to change game and provide accurate game prediction. That would have to do with an internal body. Don't seem to understand why most players who wager $1m usually win more than they lose. The limited amount of game, let's say one game, may be used to justified this in sports. But if so, players who have some substantial amount of money still wager over multiple games. If they knew or cared about winning, they can easily wager those substantial amounts in one game and maximize their profits. Or is it just some behavioral differences between the rich and low rolling gamblers.
817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: January 24, 2024, 09:05:12 PM
A successful gambler who possesses such qualities as risk management and self-control may be able to get along with gambling challenges without failing in the process. It seems very difficult to achieve the goal of becoming a successful gambler, but it's possible. Especially in the offline settings. Not sure for the online users who have many disadvantages as false provably fair. Who still has to depend on the house edge for everything. Coupled with the fact that no compliments are offered to the players. Even if gambling has not certainty the player who belongs to a comp club may be certain of his comp points being able to cover for some of his bills in the casino hotel.

He'll only have to bother about his bankroll and how it may suit the house edge. That way the gambler wouldn't have a hard time gambling for a long duration. However, it's a boring career, gambling every day without any other activity the person gets doing. Sure, there is nothing as profits, but one can earn few moneys, before he gets a big win. It's hard for a gambler who participates often not to get a win. The trouble with it, is battling with compulsiveness and managing the money meant for gambling. If one is able to take care of all that, he may not fail as a professional gambler.

It's just possible, not certain. In my own opinion, even though they have good qualities in terms of good self-control and risk management, it is not certain that they will be successful with gambling and I think it is impossible for them not to fail in the process, of course they will definitely experience many failures, after all, I think that is success with gambling. It's very impossible, therefore don't expect to be successful with the gambling you do, it's best to gamble in moderation, without overdoing it. because no one knows about luck.

They should gamble with the money they can afford to spend on gambling, because if they force it it won't work. Besides, gambling for a long time in my opinion is not a good thing. Is what you say guaranteed? I mean, are there really professional gamblers who always make a profit? In my opinion, professional gamblers don't mean they can always guess or predict correctly.  and in my opinion the problem here is people's inability to make money many gamblers want a big win that can change their life by losing a large amount of the money they have. but I agree with what you say, gambling every day is not a good thing, because in my opinion it is a path to ruin in life, not a path to success.

Profits can be made in different ways, in gambling. Making profits from our wager is almost impossible. But successful gamblers get profits in many other places where gambling knowledge is required. TV and radio shows, books, movies, grand prizes like cars, etc. Gamblers who make money from selling their gambling knowledge and still pertain in gambling activity can be tagged successful. What is needed is staying in control and being disciplined. However, from your view, I understand the point that gambling as a successful player who keeps winning is not possible, yes. That's not real, since the house edge still play vital role. But it's more like a mental game than what the casino has to provide. It's almost or is certain that the jackpot returns to the house. Regardless of the time and duration, the house is patiently waiting for the money they gave a gambler.

Then the player quietly submits the jackpot back to the casino. Which means even the house edge being 2% doesn't mean the gambler wouldn't win more money that seems like he's profiting. The player can spend only 2% of his wins on other financial responsibilities not pertaining to gambling. Whatever makes this the way it is, shows that in that aspect, a gambler can't be successful, you are right. But fine we both know that gambling is a broad market. And there are lots of beneficial things to learn through the gambling niche, as gamblers. Such that given time we may be earning money by providing some gambling related services or information to other gamblers in the market. Isn't it a success in gambling, when one make money through teaching about gambling on TV? Wouldn't he be called a successful gambler?
818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: January 24, 2024, 05:53:39 PM
I don't think patience counts for anything in gambling. Any gambling game has its own time frame and winning depends more on your choice and luck than on patience. Of course patience plays an important role in our life, but this skill is more suitable for investments, because in this sphere the ability to wait very often helps to break even a not the best deal.
Patience can help a gamblers for betting panickly. and if someone bet in relax way then it can help them to decrease lossing chance if they loss it will not a big amount. so patience can help but it can't help to quite gambling. It is normal to lose in gambling.  No one can win alone.  So if one wants to continue gambling then he must have the patience to continue gambling with low amount bets for a long period of time.  Then the amount of his loss will be less. But if you bet a large amount to make a quick profit without being patient, your loss will be boosted and the possibility of a big loss will increase a lot.

The point is that if you feel that you are a fairly active gambler then obviously patience is something that cannot be ignored and you must have, you must apply this patience especially when you are running a session, nothing but patience will be useful only to minimize something they don't want and not at all to lead to a way to get a win. We have to understand that gambling is a game of probability or luck which means that any result can happen at the end of the session and if you are lucky then the victory will come by itself, meaning that you don't need to be too ambitious to get the victory because you will never know when you will be lucky to get the victory, And therefore all we can do is take some precautions such as self-control along with setting some boundaries, and also on the other hand if in the end you lose then you should not be too angry or upset because after all as I said above that gambling is just a game of "possibility" which means you can win and you can lose, and by applying patience then this will be useful to prevent you from doing actions out of control because of emotions.

Patience plays a vital role in gambling, a player who holds on to wagering a designated amount of money per prediction. Needs some it to keep up with doing this often time and helping himself not to waste his money. About the wins, it also requires that the gambler utilize the need for keeping up his strategy until the time he's meant to win. Every gambler will at some point win his games. But the patience to wait for the right time lacks in many gamblers. And they rush things, because they want to win immediately. That's not possible for any gambler to big immediately. Even if he does, he'd hardly manage the funds. However, inexperienced players need patience to adapt to a responsible gambling ethics or skills. Which remains the best lesson one should focus on learning while gambling.

Money comes and goes, but our skills stay with us forever. Why then would a gambler focus on money alone, if his initial intention wasn't to make money off gambling. Such players don't look into having patience that's why they have disputes handling money in gambling. While those who come to learn may utilize being patient with their teacher or the learning process, it's crucial they don't focus on money. Although it's hard to avoid in gambling, losing or winning money. With the right self-consciousness a player can overlook it and wait for the right time. Nothing happens if it's not it's time in gambling, regardless of the type of strategy the player uses. It's a matter of the house's decision. On whom the win goes to, especially in games like slots.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do i handle my first gambling experience on: January 24, 2024, 05:29:12 PM
If the first experience is tempting or vice versa, Then the decision is up to you, do you want to continue or stop. The risk of losing will always be felt by any gambler, no matter whether it is a senior gambler or a gambler who has just set foot in an offline or online casino. Gambling is not a job that can bring in money, not a place to invest and not a place to solve all the problems you are facing.

You must be prepared to face risks when gambling because this is not a place to make money easily, luck may come your way but tomorrow you will get disappointing results. Always control your emotions when you are in a tight situation and use cold money so you don't get too stressed when you lose.
Those who are starting to get to know gambling will be curious about the results they receive, whether they win or lose, so most of them will continue gambling to satisfy their curiosity. But for some gamblers who remember that they don't need to return to gambling too often because they already know that they have a greater chance of losing than winning, they will not do it. Instead, they will look for other activities that will not use much or even no money. They know that gambling requires money and carries the risk of losing, which, if they are not aware of, the loss will be even greater. The risk of losing will always be there, and we will not be able to win easily, so instead of taking the risk of losing too much, we should control ourselves and always take care of ourselves when gambling. And to control ourselves from the first experience in gambling is to try to accept whatever results we receive from gambling and don't think we can win on another occasion because many people try but they end up losing again.

Gambling for newbies may be a hassle if they have no guardian who would take them on the long journey of gambling. It requires a steady learning for a newbie to stand strong emotionally to deal with all the feelings that has to do with gambling results. Every gambler was once in this stage, but not all made it out of the newbie stage safely. Many got addicted along the line, and I know of other gamblers who didn't continue as a result of the outcome of their gambling. Those who had no money and focused on making a living through gambling, got disappointed and stopped gambling. While those who had some funds, but needed to make extra income from gambling also lost their earnings to excessive gambling. But finds it difficult to quit since they've got other sources of income. Hence, they continued the chase. Don't know their recent condition, but many may have been addicted.

However, the newbies have a truck load of advice on the internet, but it's not enough for the ride. I think one should be focused on learning how he feels on a win or lose scenario, before looking at other gambling strategies. Because the emotional response is what actually matters. Those impulses can be controlled if the player is dedicated to following the risk management strategies. Added with good time management and critical thinking, sufficient enough to let the gambler know he's no longer on the right track. Depending on his expenses or ways of participating in the game. In a nutshell, a newbie should get a physical trainer to help them through this, because once they fail the process, it's hard to reconcile or revive with oneself. Since the person needs a person to change when addicted, he should also get a person to guide him while joining the gambling niche.

820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 24, 2024, 04:49:41 PM
Wagering few cents out of a small amount of money would take a gambler more than 5 hours duration in a gambling session. It all depends on the gambler to have the energy to stay on screen and enjoy his game. Remember he won't lose out on all his wagers or predictions. Hence his winnings can be added to the bank roll. The strategy would be stopping once 5 hours has exhausted. If the person does this every day, it's quite a long time, but if he possesses strong discipline, he won't get addicted. The other good side of it, is that the gambler needs to take some break at some point. His brain would begin to reset to normal, if it was thinking abstractly and going towards addiction. Since it has to do with mental disorder, many factors affect a gambler to get addicted which has less to do with how consistently he gambles. Anxiety, real life challenges, can lead a gambler to get addicted.

Especially when the problem or challenge is distracting him mentally, such that he gambles without any ethic or self-control. If he wagers all his money in the process, faster than he should have done in his right mental state, at some point he'd get sad over it and get depressed in essence. From the little experiences available to me, mental disorder doesn't have round the clock. Sometimes the victim gets to realize himself for some minutes. During those periods he begin to question he actions, and in the process of trying to recover the brain issues starts again. Therefore, you may hear them say no to gambling, but in the next hour you'll find the person gambling again. These things may not have been caused the moment they began to gamble every day. But, at the very few weeks they started gambling. It could be the real-life problem is the primary reason they started gambling.
In my opinion, the time you mentioned is too long, even if they bet with a small amount of money, it doesn't guarantee they can last that long, because everything can change from one moment to another, and of course the most important thing is the negative moments in gambling, because it is impossible for us to gamble that positive moments will occur more often. and in my opinion, if people are disciplined about gambling, they will not gamble for that long, I think they will only spend 1/2 an hour. If it's 5 hours, in my opinion it's no longer discipline. but no one knows because everyone has their own choices.

I think that if they respond wrongly to gambling, it can have an impact on their own health and mental health. because gambling can also affect a person's thinking and it can also trigger an impact on their mental state which could be a big problem. and with this of course I think they will face the destruction of their lives. and it can also spread to their family, so I think that if they gamble every day, it will only ruin their lives.

Gambling for that amount of time, helps the person to get filled with the transient satisfaction of gambling for the moment. And may not get the urge to gamble again till the next day or some other times. Gambling for 2 hours may not be enough for most gamblers. Splitting times may work; 2 hours morning and evening. One needs to gamble to the level he wants so that he wouldn't get constant urge to gamble. That's why gambling 5 hours works just fine. However, it sounds a long hour of gambling. But while gambling one wouldn't realize how much time has crept by. If one has those hours to spare, they can engage in gambling without falling victim of addiction. It's crucial that the gambler also holds his emotions while gambling for a long period. Like I said, they'll definitely be a win during these periods of gambling, and it could be added to bank roll. Such that it wouldn't run dry. However, it's a personal recommendation.

Moreover, if one thinks he won't make it out safely of 5 hours of gambling, he can do with the time he's comfortable gambling. What matters is the discipline to maintain the wagering speed and amount. Gambling for a long time shows some discipline more than gambling for few minutes, wagering all the money, or going all in. I was one time an All-in gambling victim. It costs more money than gambling for a long time. And increases the impulses or urge to gamble again, as the player expects a huge win out of going all in. You'd then understand that it's not about the time spent, but the amount of money wagered at a go within seconds. Also, the urge to gamble again, immediately after losing it all. The long-time gambler who spends 5 hours would still be enjoying his game while the short time gambler with lesser discipline would be struggling with winning big after losing all his funds at a go.
