803  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Looking for a place that will make a custom frame to display collectable items. on: November 09, 2021, 01:22:14 PM
I just brought my eclipse poster second edition to my local Michels craft store to get framed. They give you unlimited options as to how fancy you want your frame to be, the size, real wood or not, inlays or not.

Its worth looking into if you have the time, I wouldn't leave my collectables in their hands though. I would probably stay a few hours while the pieces are framed.
804  Economy / Collectibles / Re: How do you redeem the bitcoin from a casacius coin? on: November 09, 2021, 12:51:15 AM
At this point no one should ever peel a Casacius ever again. Sell funded

The value of Casascius Coins has gotten to the point where I wouldn't even want to carry them out of a bank.  I've been wanting to sell a 0.5 Casascius coin for a while now but it feels crazy to even have that amount in your possession on a physical coin.  So crazy when you think that the original ones were given away by the thousands.  I wonder how many of those bad boys are buried under some dirt at various festival locations around the country...  Back to your comment, HOW would you sell a funded Casascius coin?

As for the thread topic, Electrum.  Free, fast, and simple.

Anyone want to go on a road-trip and get the medal detectors out?
805  Economy / Collectibles / Re: (WTS) 2018 Topps Allen & Ginter X BLACK Cryptocurrency #83 PSA 9 MINT on: November 08, 2021, 11:23:16 PM
Do you know how many of those cards were created in total ..?

This is from the official A&G thread on bitcoin talk, I have been using this as a reference (Not my own work):

"Here are the cards in order of rarity from most common to most rare (to my understanding at least)

01) Full-Sized Base Card
02) Mini Base
03) Mini Base A&G Back
04) Full-Sized Hot Box Silver Glossy (1 Hot Box per case of 12, so 12 times as rare?)
05) Mini Black Border
06) Full-Sized, All-Black Ginter X (1,000 i believe)
07) Mini Gold Border (Found only in Value Packs, None to very few to be found these days)
08) Mini All-Black Ginter X (100)
09) Color 10x14 Poster #d/99
10) Mini No Number on the Back - NNO (50)
11) Color Jumbo 5x7 #d/49
12) 3-Card, Sealed Gold Border Value Pack With Cryptocurrency Card on Top (Many likely opened not knowing it would take off like it has)
13) Mini Hand-Numbered #d/25 Red, Brooklyn Back
14) Gold Jumbo 5x7 #d/10
15) Mini Glow-in-the-Dark (Not Listed, but thought to be less than 12. Plus "glowies" were discounted in 2019. Found only in Hobby Boxes - Case Hit)
16) Mini All-Red Ginter X (5)  (3 of 4 have been accounted for to my knowledge)
17) Mini All-Silver Ginter X (1)  (NOT accounted for to my knowledge which is one reason X packs selling so high)
18) Full-Sized, Blank Back (1) (Sold directly from Topps Ebay Auction)
19) 3-cards in 1 (1) (Sold directly from Topps Ebay Auction, Sano and Marwin Gonzalez on the card as well)
20) Full-Sized Glossy (1) (Was on Ebay at one point, not sure of status)
21) Gold 10x14 Poster #d/1
22) Color Jumbo 5x7 ERROR CARD #d/49 - No Serial Number (1)

Asking price for a 2018 Ginter X box is almost $10k!

These are going viral and may become the next Magic Gathering type of card.  High-end cards of this type (Brooklyn Back) have sold for almost $8000.  The low-end cards will become very attractive once the word gets out and with cryptocurrency now attracting institutional backing and becoming mainstream, the future is bright.

Also PSA has raised their rates substantially as well as a year-long wait (and not be guaranteed a 10 rating), the current prices won't last long

Odds of finding a #83 base crypto card: 1:40-50 packs. (Note: Packs typically contain 7 base cards + 1 mini card or 5 base cards + 1 mini card.) (Source hybridsole bitcoin talk collectibles)"

808  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Question about Lealana 5 Monero on: November 07, 2021, 11:34:36 PM
What is strange is that smoothie never included the specific coin number to reference with a specific address, just a list of 20 addresses.

So let's say someone buys a roll with 20 coins, you get 20 addresses but no matching number for the specific coins to addresses.

809  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Eclipse Poster Second Edition - Limited Print - 25/33 Available on: November 06, 2021, 02:15:24 AM
Project Update:

It has been brought to my attention by senior members that I have used the Version 2 Lealana Litecoin in my second edition poster and not the pristine unmarked version one.

Vs 1 can be noted below without the serialized number breaking the hologram.

Due to this error on my part I will be slashing the number of available posters in half from 66 down to 33. Moving forwards I will only be using version one coins, not knockoff second and third editions.

Packaging

Today I meticulously signed, dated and applied the holograms to each of my posters. This process was savored instead of rushed through, as any true artist does.

Each poster has been specifically cared for by my hands alone, not a single fingerprint or dent can be seen on any of my posters. These posters should be handled with gloves out of the tube and framed directly after opening for proper effect.

Each poster has been hand checked for any dents or tears, any poster that leaves my studio is to be in perfect condition.

To my buyers, treasure your posters like gold. Frame them, show them off, rejoice around them. These posters are unique and a homage to some of the greatest artists of our generation.

To those of you entrusting me with your precious bitcoin, I am forever grateful.

Everything is shipping Monday, tracking will be provided.

I appreciate everyones patience and constructive criticism. If you have a suggestion as to how I can improve my craft. Send a PM

krogoth, correct me if im wrong.

I remember a few months ago user Yogg was selling time locked bitcoin on coldkey cards.

Is the tech for this coin similar to yogg's concept or is it distinct?

I dont really know much about timelocked bitcoin, I would love to know more of the tech side.

813  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Eclipse Poster Second Edition - Limited Print - 50/66 Available on: October 31, 2021, 10:30:11 PM
Update:

The first batch of posters is being printed on Wednesday and shipped this Friday after being numbered signed and dated.

If you have paid by Wednesday and reserved a number, your posters will be shipped out with the first batch.

I am exploring the possibility of a free nft to accompany the poster, I have found ways around the minting costs.

I personally would not part with my alpen coins, it would take a lot of btc to convince me otherwise.

low mint quantity + amazing hologram

gotta look for weaker hands

816  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Ebay virtual currency policy, can anyone explain? on: October 26, 2021, 06:56:13 PM
This goes with selling hardware on there too.  Sold a GPU sealed BNIB on eBay one time and 5 months later saying they received it broken.  Got charged back and seller return me a card with dust all over obviously mined the hell out of it first.  Win win for buyer.  Even if they don't win the case they have probably roi'd anyway.

As far as coins yep PayPal suspended my account cause I was selling satoris on ebay, trying to say I was acting as a money transmitter lol. Silliness

My ebay account is on it's last warning, im going to have to avoid anything remotely close to crypto for a while moving forwards.
817  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Ebay virtual currency policy, can anyone explain? on: October 25, 2021, 08:38:53 PM
No loaded or funded wallets are allowed. Depending on your category and title keywords it might be possible to navigate around this but it won't get as much visibility. I still see funded coins on there  occasionally.

If you're selling something funded I may be interested.

I just bought a funded coin last week that wasn't removed, but mine get removed.

I agree with mr hodl, this forum may be the only outlet.
818  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Ebay virtual currency policy, can anyone explain? on: October 25, 2021, 08:11:59 PM
I would never sell funded items on eBay (or any digital items for that matter). eBay usually favors the buyer. They can claim item not as described and it's usually an instant refund. Good luck trying to get eBay support to follow a Bitcoin transaction to prove the buyer moved the funds from the funded item.

I personally have never been refunded for a sale on ebay. It would definitely bother me if someone attempted to keep my item and demand ebay for a refund.

In a world of decentralization and digital currency, we are still using a dinosaur like ebay.

Its time to search for alternatives IMO.
819  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Litecoin Foundation 18k Gold Ledger S on: October 25, 2021, 07:41:47 PM
I would love to get my hands on one of these wallets. I think it would be baller af to whip out your gold ledger to sign a transaction...
820  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Ebay virtual currency policy, can anyone explain? on: October 25, 2021, 07:38:25 PM
You cant sell funded coins anymore because of the 2013 law. However that law severely out of date and eventually will be thrown out. Back then they were trying to get rid of BTC all together. didnt want people making their own physical currency. but now everyone is making paper wallets and physical is more like art than a form of currency. Its kind of like selling a 24caret gold phone case. The value is locked inside. On ebay you need to not use words like funded. word it like a collectable. Eventually this law will be overturned

I consider it a nonsense law that is preventing the growth of this market. Curtailing the ability for people to properly sell their physicals for real market value.
It might be time to leave ebay for me, this policy along with other actions ebay has taken recently may be the last straw. The ridiculous fees, centralized nature, and lack of customer support make ebay a dinosaur in a market that has grown past the need for a centralized platform.

We dont even need ebay anymore, its just people who want physicals dont know how to use crypto...
