801  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Neo-colonialism: Is Nigeria Still Under British Rule? on: January 14, 2024, 03:35:16 AM
The politics that is been displayed to the public is very much different what is really happening. our national president is more like a ceremonial representative an external force making decisions for the country framing it to sound like we are free whereas the own they country.

even from the origin of the world Nigeria it's not an originally initiated country rather a business center for different countries to collab and take the natural resources dumbing there stories to us inorder for we not to take action inform of a holy book called bible while the original is with them.

There gave Nigeria independence in public while they heard a secret meeting at cross rivers state headquarters back then was the headquarters of Nigeria where the  ex president was to take an oat to be a representative of them while they retire to there various countries.

infact I will have to stop here if you wish to know more about Nigeria just go and get one of the books of Micheal crowder history of Nigeria or the Nigerian books of record by unknown author (though it's banned Nigeria) because of the truth in it but I still got one in my library that I got from a location that can't be disclosed.

The conclusion is Nigeria is under indirect colonial rule through international co-operations that you know about.
802  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why crime are on the rise daily on: January 14, 2024, 03:08:44 AM
Critically thinking, between the old days and now, when did giving birth to numerous children increase? Of course, in the old days, life was simple. Speaking from my perspective, we are from the same country. Overpopulation is part of the cause of crime because of limited employment opportunities, etc., but it is not the major issue; there is a root to crime, and until the root is found crime will keep growing.

Although psychologically, human beings seem to be more attracted to crime, some people commit crime subconsciously. But there are many things that lead to crime, and if not taken good care of, the crime rate will keep increasing.
803  Other / Politics & Society / Re: pretend dead in real life on: January 14, 2024, 02:49:03 AM
Life must have been hard for you or your current experience in life is just so bad and i sympathize with you.

one thing you must know is everyone has his or her raise to run and so you shouldn't expect your friends to help you run yours. Yes people can betray but its only when you trust them that they betray. what you lack now is independence and you should achieve that as fast as possible so never to get hurt again.

I will advise you that if to fake your death will bring you peace of mind just flee away from you environment, go to some where far and create a new life for yourself and never make  friends for its benefits.
804  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Human trafficking on: January 14, 2024, 02:30:40 AM
This topic is so wide that I can't finish expressing myself here because I have too many things to say. Around the world not just the prominent countries human trafficking is one of the most paying illegal businesses, the way it's been handled I don't think it will be put to an end any time soon.

Infact, an ordinary citizen can't just go into human trafficking because of how complex and wild the business is, most of the elites of this countries are the sponsors and at the same time in the governments. This is why it's very difficult to end such an evil. well I just pray blacks get out of this shit soon because they are most exploit among all even from history Africans are most exploited.
805  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: January 14, 2024, 02:02:32 AM
Bitcoin is a digital currency. which can be received directly from one person to another without any medium. There are three ways to earn bitcoins, the first way is you can buy bitcoins for long term investment, sell when its price increases several times and earn extra bitcoins as profit. The second way is to buy bitcoins and sell them on time. Selling Bitcoin whenever the price rises above your purchase price is called a short-term investment. The third way is to do mining. The mining method is the payment that is given in exchange for a work called earning bitcoins in the mining method. The job of the mining method is that you solve the Bitcoin algorithm on a computer, and in exchange for this work you can earn Bitcoins as a reward.

who are old may know these things well. This post is for newbies. I am also new to crypto currency. I have collected this information and knowledge from some medium.https://www.bitcoin.com/get-started/what-is-bitcoin/#what-is-bitcoin

If there is any mistake in the writing, please let me know so that I can correct my mistake.
Indeed you are new to this forum and if not for the fact that you linked your post to the site where you got the information from it would have been reported plagiarism (copy and paste).

Everything you said here is clearly out of the discussion and it's called spam. which means if you have to be in this conversation then you should read from beginning which is probably not possible because it about 256 pages that you've missed out. so I suggest read from the first page first and know the concept of the topic which says buy the dip and hodl, you may not understand any of the abbreviation so just take your time and explore the forum.
806  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons for personal financial accountability? on: January 14, 2024, 01:40:02 AM
I'm not going to dispute the fact that financial accountability is very important but one thing believe so much is that time controls everything we do in life.

Even with your financial accountability it doesn't matter, if you're not keeping to time, it is the most important of all. if only you can adhere to time then you will be making better decisions on financial management, like you know this time is not for buying but accumulating more money it will perhaps be the best decision than follow all the financial accountability rule yet fail.
807  Other / Meta / Re: was gambling board restricted from merits? on: January 14, 2024, 01:08:27 AM
This a good one you noticed. I have been in gambling section just a few times since I registered here and i found out that merits are not flowing in gambling section as it goes around some other boards. But not everything is meant for questioning so I pretended I didn't notice.

In all my time in that board I have seen quality posters but yet didn't receive merits for such. though it's assumed that most of those in that section just repeat words everytime so it's hard to know good post for merit source but for me I know one when I see it. if there was merit in gambling section people like Oshosondy would have been one of the highest merit earners there. because I have seen that guy appear first in like 70% of posts in gambling section and I admire his posting styles.

perhaps the fact that not a whole lot of members who post in the gambling section are handing out merits themselves.  Eh.
This is a very good fact about gambling section. they (we) complain for merits not circulating but yet they can't merit themselves there, so how then will someone who doesn't visit there regularly merit the post when people inside are not helping themselves.
808  Other / Meta / Re: Dead Bitcointalk Theory on: January 14, 2024, 12:30:45 AM
I'm very surprised nobody is asking this question "Are you a bot"?  Grin Grin

Because if every post here is generated by bots, I guess you too must be a bot isn't that right?. Just kidding!

On a personal level, I can say 90% percent of post here are not from bots if you can find bots posts it's very limited, because of the way people here dislike posts if such, if you go to different boards here you will find interesting discussions that people engage in and with such conversation you rarely see bot posts because sure it can't be in alliance with the ongoing discussion hence will be discovered and reported.

So this forum isn't dead or in coma.

I miss the 2011 - 2013 bitcointalk before the signature campaigns era.
A quick question, what happened to your account?

Because obviously you are saying you where here before 2011 but you account was created 2019... What happened?
809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you can benefit from investing in Bitcoin on: January 13, 2024, 11:56:45 PM
1: With just your smartphone you can carry out financial services.
This is common in any other cryptocurrencies not just Bitcoin alone. even with fiat you can still carry out your financial services with just your smart phone depending the type of transaction you wish to carry out. so it is too in Bitcoin so it's a common feature now.

3: As freelancer who works online, you can use bitcoin to facilitate some of your transactions.
4: As a business owner or an entrepreneur one can accept payment in Bitcoin.
This common in every other cryptocurrencies, though was all brought in place through Bitcoin as the first cryptocurrency. but it's no longer a special feature of Bitcoin because Altcoins (shitcoins) can do so even too.

2: In bitcoin, you have full control of your financial assets. You have ownership to your private keys which is not always available in our normal banking.
This is one of the major aim Satoshi Nakamoto for creating bitcoin. For years we have been or are still under the control of some few people who calls themselves governments who practically controls every part of our life with the printing of fiats. hence Bitcoin was initiated to free us from central control of the government through some agencies like banks.

5: When there is currency devaluation, one can use Bitcoin to protect their wealth even though there is risk of price volatility.
I'm very much delighted with this about Bitcoin, because the rate of inflation in good and services has lead to deflation in our fiat (local currencies) which is also caused by the countless printing of fiats(money). The risk which is posed by volatility is what most of us have exploit and it's not longer seen as a risk rather an investment opportunity in Bitcoin.
810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Strategy of Dr.Bitcoin_Strange] BITCOIN'S SELL TO BUY MORE STRATEGY on: January 13, 2024, 11:15:48 PM
This ideal is absolutely good; here, dca or any other investment method isn't disputed, but the whole new ideal is being initiated, though it is not new to me because I have probably made mention of it in another discussion or heard of it several times in other discussions.

From my little experience in life, I have seen scenarios where this method can be applied. For instance, a cousin of mine is a contract manager, and his job doesn't come steadily, so this method will surely profit him if he is a Bitcoiner or an investor.

Perhaps if he has a stash of Bitcoin that was bought as a result of DCA or lump sum while he was still in contract and now that he is out of contract, he could be using the OP's accumulation strategy to increase his stash now that he is out of contract while waiting for another job. So this ideal is a win-win ideal if properly applied as Dr. B.S. specified above.
811  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Can we proudly tell people that we're Bitcoiners? on: January 13, 2024, 12:01:46 AM
The thing is no just blow your cover because of some insane questions or suspension wey go dey around you.

812  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Invest in something that worth your money on: January 12, 2024, 11:52:49 PM
You try for weytin you talk oo but my concern be say how person want talk know say na scam you dey put your money into as for the example wey happened for capital. The way the business dey so legit even as them dey gist you say na scammers them be you dey get double thought because the go extra mile to make everything look so real.

The thing be say make wey just pray make we no run out of luck for any decisions we dey take because no be everything be scam some go later mature come become better investment wey  people wey first incest go reap so high.
Make everybody just dey on guide! If you want buy any alt use at least you biscuits money buy so that if e go you no go vex too much because the money no too dey important at that moment.
813  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Your knowledge from school de help you abi e no de help you? on: January 12, 2024, 11:39:36 PM
My brother no knowledge is lost in life. It may not be useful today but it will one day. My knowledge in school is helpful to me.
Yes basically, no knowledge is a waste, as you have said, In all my time I usually come across one thing or the other that I have heard of or learnt in school whether of the university of secondary schools. Most time I see motivational speakers talk about good habits that can lead to success one is acquiring knowledge. Any kind of knowledge is advisable to acquire as far as your are still in the position to learn make sure you learn. This is not exactly for you but to everyone because all the knowledge that you have gotten is what will determine your level of success.
814  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Transaction Privatekey Signature Verification on: January 12, 2024, 10:19:52 PM
Ok, is a combination of priv key + public key but how the nodes know if the priv key was the correct? If you dont know the priv key how do you verify it? It makes a unic signature but how the nodes knows the signature was created with the correct combination of priv key and public key, only the sender node know but the others dont.
First you can never sign a transaction without the correct private key.

This how transactions works; public key cryptography depends on asymmetric encryption, that means only one key (the private key) can encrypt the transaction to generate a script (cypher text), which can only be decrypted by the public key. So anyone (nodes, miner or Blockchain as specified by you) that wishes to to know if the private key is valid or not fake must use the public key that is generated to decrypt the transaction hence know if it's true or not.

You can learn more on how private keys and public keys works from learnmeabitcoin.com
815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What ugly incident or occurrence have you ever experienced in gambling? on: January 12, 2024, 09:36:22 PM
Right now, I have mixed emotions. I'm laughing, and at the same time, I am very sad for such an event. An opportunity that rarely comes... damn that user most be frustrated by the moment it happened... like wtf  Huh

Well, for me, I have experienced such, but not exactly on Betway, but I have definitely seen such. Mine was even more expensive than this; I lost about $10k USD just because I slept off well gambling. That day, TBH, I almost got mad. When I woke up, I just left the house to clear my head.

Once again, I feel so sorry for this nigga because such an incident can drive him crazy at that moment, especially if he has been losing.

Fun fact: Grin Thank goodness he wasn't the driver. He would have just done something far more crazy than throw his device away.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is DingDang.io is the next PEPE? Investing in it is worthy or not? on: January 12, 2024, 04:40:24 PM
I don't trust new projects with inexperienced teams. I've been burned by several solid projects with new teams that couldn't deliver on their promises. Recently, I came across an airdrop for an upcoming meme project called DingDang. The interesting part is that the team successfully launched Kikswap in 2021, which performed well. The presale participants gained a 10x return at launch, and they raised 506 BNB in the initial seed sale. With many trending meme coins in the market, I'm considering investing in DingDang during its early stages. What are your thoughts on whether it's worth it or not?

dingdang.io

When invest in Meme coins you have to be aware first that you must buy it when cheaper, always follow any news of that coin every day and be ready to dump anytime.
Its not the type of a coin which you can buy now and forget it for a while, the Meme coins price can spike anytime or suddenly become worthless less in a day.
This is the major reason I don't like new projects because I can't keep up with them following it everytime, infact it's enough stress to follow a new project than just invest in an already situated coins. Anyone considering new projects like DingDang should probably prepared for both ways because things nothing is guaranteed.

It's better to go with what everyone knows about so you can even be he hearing about the news within your hood or from the environments like this forum.
817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin full node on: January 12, 2024, 04:26:28 PM
how long does it take to download all the blocks for full node?

and how safe is qt wallet full node compared to the ledger?
As you have been told earlier it's depends on your internet connection, location and the type of device you're using.

For ledger it's absolutely not safe and you should always avoid them. If you need security, you have to go for an airgapped devices (a devices that has no internet connection). You can create one yourself by using an old device or new device, just disable the WiFi card and Bluetooth connection or possibly use a software like Tails USB to airgap your device. For the software airgap you have to turn off your wifi in the OS and for hardware you have to physically remove your WiFi card.

Assuming that you have a fiber connection or medium-speed internet, you need an average of 2 to 5 days to complete the synchronization.
If OP is in my location, it would probably take longer than 5 days, maybe up 10 days because from my location the internet connection is very slow the maximum is around 21.35 Mbps which is rarely seen except you purchase an IPNX connector that is very very expensive and the medium or average is around 9.55 - 10 Mbps. lol

But why do you need to run a full node?
For me, I'm just tryna get more experienced.
818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sure match prediction on: January 12, 2024, 02:12:30 PM
I have 8 years experience about gambling.. so you can believe me about my statement.
Permit me to say, sir, that your 8 years of experience have nothing to do with being able to know the outcome of matches. If prediction was sure, then it wouldn't have answered the name "prediction." Since it's all a matter of luck, that is why it's called prediction. BTW, there are so many prediction sites that are sometimes very accurate, but yet they fail so many times on different predictions. whereas teams are working together to predict the outcome of games, compared you to an individual prediction over a whole series of games. How possible is that?.

There is nothing like a sure game. I used to say that I have sure games, but I did realize that even if you are dead sure of your predictions, this match will go against your predictions because even the soccer player won't be able to tell you boldly that they will win. So your analysis can be correct at times, but your advertisement could be used for yourself if you are so sure of your prediction.
819  Economy / Economics / Re: If you are investing in the stock market, coinbase is good to invest in now! on: January 12, 2024, 12:06:51 PM
Buying shares is good because of the agreement's dependence, especially when it tends to bring great rewards. The Coinbase stock market might yield good profits for its investors, but my issue is: if there are no good incidents that could lead to an increase in the price of an investment, what then becomes the fate of the investors?
I don't know much about stock market investment, but I don't really think of it as a better way to invest. Instead of buying a branch that depends on the tree to grow, why not buy the tree itself and water it to grow in the way you want? I know this is just a mere suggestion for people who might be interested, so I wouldn't criticize your opinion, but if you were capable of investing in the stock market, Coinbase wouldn't be an option.
820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging) method is a simple way to invest in Bitcoin on: January 12, 2024, 12:11:04 AM
Since I have been around this forum, I have learned that DCA is the most convenient way of investing in Bitcoin or maybe another investment because it allows you to take care of other responsibilities while at the same time letting you invest your money. And from my little knowledge, it's good to do DCA weekly if you earn or can afford it, or you could just do DCA monthly as a salary earner, but I haven't, in this maybe long or short time here, heard of hourly investment.

BTW, is there any job that pays you hourly? I mean, every hour while you are working, you are being paid. Let's say $100 every hour is entering your account. not the ones that are scaled for hourly payment but later paid at the end of the day? Is there anything of the sort? probably No. So how did you come about hourly investment?. Even the weekly investment isn't convenient for most people because they work for salaries.

I might be wrong, though location or my perspective of understanding could be the reason why I haven't heard of hourly investment, but from now on I have read of it.
