801  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How are you doing it. on: March 19, 2024, 01:56:38 PM
From my understanding your first question be say you don de for di forum for a long time and nothing to show for it, maybe na in the area of merit and ranking up you de talk about? Frankly I no think say di merit system for di forum de fair, because na fellow members de merit each other and e no easy to please everybody with your posts, maybe members wey for see your post as quality fit no open di thread wey you make posts. So make you no relent, just try to de improve on more quality posts de go, hopefully di right members go see am and reward you with merit. Check for beginners and help board and you go see thread where you go de apply for your quality posts for merit support.

Your second question be wetin we de do to earn BTC rewards for di forum? You no suppose to ask dis kind question because no be today you join dis forum, anyway we de earn from signature campaigns, and you fit to apply too, for campaigns wey de accept member ranks.
802  Economy / Economics / Re: The Prices of Labour. on: March 19, 2024, 11:49:52 AM
We shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, sometimes looks can be deceptive because you can see a person that is shabbily dressed or driving a rickety car and you'd think that it's because they're very poor, you wouldn't know whether they have money but they're denying themselves of certain luxuries inorder to save enough to start a business or investment. On the other hand, you can see a person that is living a luxurious lifestyle, without any savings, in their old age you'll see them living in poverty , then you'll be wondering if it's not the same person that lived in riches years back.

As far as labor goes, if a worker's salary is not enough for them, then let them think outside the box, either get a better paying job or learn a skill to earn money by the side, then invest in a valuable asset like Bitcoin.
803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not place to make money is place to lose it? on: March 19, 2024, 10:35:19 AM
Gambling is a place to make money, although it's not mostly the players that makes it but the bet and casino companies that takes it from the players, if it were not so the gambling companies will go bankrupt and the industry will die. So the few gamblers that will win at a perticular time, will be beacons of hope for the multitude of loosers to keep believing that gambling is not a scam, it's actually not a scam because every gambler knows that there's no guarantee that they'll win. This is why it's said that you should gamble with the amount that you can afford to loose, so that can have fun engaging in it, despite the fact that there's a higher chance that you can loose your money.
804  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop paying money to learn trading when you can learn it yourself on: March 19, 2024, 09:04:58 AM
3. Find a mentor, whether offline or online. You may not be close to this person but always study his trade

I will pick the third point and talk about it. With regards to finding a mentor. I'd say if anyone can pay for it please do. But when it comes to this, you have to find an accomplished executive trading coach who you will pay to learn. I tell you that your time with an accomplished executive trading coach will be worth every penny. In addition to an accomplished executive trading coach, you can add to it, a trading mastermind group which is actually a group of trading peers who meet to give each other trading advice and support. The become like your accountability partners. and making your learning journey to be easier and faster.

I don't have a problem about paying for something that is worth the amount, if I see an accomplished trader who has experience and can mentor me for a fee, if I can afford it, I'll personally don't look at the money that I'd have to pay, instead I'll focus on the value that I'll get for being mentored. Although a newbie trader needs to research and find genuine professionals who have years of experience that can impact them with the correct knowledge of crypto trading, if it requires payment, then pay and get the correct knowledge. The problem is that we have scam coaches who will collect your money and make you think that crypto trading is a get rich quick scheme, this is why you must try to find out the reputation of tutors. But if you can learn for free, then it saves you money.
805  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can divorced couple reunite?? - please share experience on: March 19, 2024, 08:14:36 AM
It's possible for divorced couples to reunite and probably remarry, although I've not witnessed it personally, but I know that it can happen, maybe in the case where they've tried other relationships and come to understand that they're more compatible and getting divorced was a mistake. I believe the reason why it's not popular for divorced couples to reunite even when they realized that it was a mistake to divorce in the first place is due to pride, what will people say when they see them together again after publicly going their separate ways. So I believe that even when they realize that they shouldn't have divorced they'll still want to move on, in the hope of finding someone else that'll fill the vacuum that the divorced partner has created.
806  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beyond crypto, we are being scammed by scammers. on: March 19, 2024, 07:01:16 AM
Sorry for losing your money out of naivety, this is a lesson for you henceforth, next time don't trust total strangers who call you about any financial matters, even if they claim to be from where you're supposed to get money from, because employees in the company can give your details to their scam cronies and defraud you. Scams are not perculiar to the crypto space alone, infact scam has been before the invention of cryptocurrency, only that scammers are becoming more sophisticated with the innovations of technology. Also be careful when anybody offers you investment opportunities that are too good to be true, even if that person is your loved ones, because it might be a scammer that sold the business ideas to them, there's no free money anywhere.
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where is The Best Place to Buy Ethereum? With Cheap Tx Fee. on: March 19, 2024, 06:12:38 AM
It is an ongoing issue with the Ethereum network wherein the transaction fee is high. They developers have tried reducing the transaction fee but the demand of ETH increases the transaction fee. I doubt you would find any CEX or a DEX where you will pay less fee as it is the problem of the network. That is the reason the l 2 solution was created to avoid the congestion and high transaction fee.

There is a prospect of a massive Ethereum, bull run, coupled with the anticipation of getting their ETF approval, so Ethereum is a "hot cake" as it is now, and that is why more investors are buying it, so it's no wonder that their network is congested. I guess that the high fees will still linger for a longer time, until investors gets there fill, and this is still a good time to invest in Ethereum, but this current high fees will discourage some investors to go ahead. I hope that their developers will find a speedy solution to their high gas fees, because it's the reason why people are preferring Solana, network.
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How high will altcoins fly? on: March 18, 2024, 05:38:08 PM

Base on Altcoins it is a tricky one because they could still be pumping even if bitcoin starts getting into corrections this is because during corrections bitcoin dominance reduces and that actually means more money in flow into the altcoin market. That’s why even now some Altcoins are not skyrocketing with bitcoin because it’s dominance high now.

My advice is wait for that particular coins dip and gamble in but do not FOMO and buy an already pumping Altcoins you might get away with that with bitcoin but not with Altcoin. Some could dust from there. Best to even look at other opportunities with real value

I think that investors are pumping money into relevant altcoins now, example is Solana, which is doing great now, despite the slight dip in Bitcoin price, this little dip will make some investors to FOMO and reinvest in altcoins, but as you advised it'll be better to research and invest in prospective undervalued projects that have the potentials to pump in the bull run. I think that top altcoins like Ethereum BNB and Solana will fly very high in this bull run, alongside Bitcoin.
809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The severing of international Internet cables. on: March 18, 2024, 04:10:31 PM
I believe we already have good alternative which is Starlink.
How many investors in bitcoins can really afford the Starlink? and its monthly subscription?

And back to the op discussion, it is really annoying, all through the week, the entire cities in Nigeria, as well as ghana and some other African countries had suffered a very severe poor internet connection, to the extent that even accessing this forum was a very huge challenge for some of us.
I am not quite knowledgeable when it comes to how things like this works, but with all sincerely, having an alternative would be really a good idea, for what if one day, governments around the world wake up and decide to pull the plug on internet, just to stop bitcoin - very low chances of happening though, but just imagining.

I can understand the OP concern about the internet being compromised, it can disrupt a lot of things that depends on the internet connection to function effectively, especially for Bitcoin that is completely digital, so it's a good idea if we're thinking of alternative ways to carry out transactions if anything were to affect the internet connection. I live in Nigeria, and for a couple of weeks I've been finding it difficult to connect to the internet, even to access this forum will take a long time, initially I thought that it was perhaps the network in my area, before I started hearing of others that are complaining too. Development of more alternative means of manoeuvering the internet for Bitcoin transactions will be very welcomed.
810  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything is over priced but people keep spending on: March 18, 2024, 02:37:51 PM
We need to eat food to survive, so no matter how expensive the cost of food is, people must eat, the only thing is that they can reduce the quantity of food items they buy and the quantity of food they consume. If what is happening in my country is being experienced in other countries then there's a serious global economic issues in the world, because the value our local currency keeps depreciating and it's effect in our local economy is continuous hike in the prices of commodities, especially food. I believe that the effects of currency depreciation is more severe in developing countries, this is why the numbers of migrants from these countries that are crossing to developed countries for greener pastures is on the increase
811  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Success is a meaningless word without failure. on: March 18, 2024, 01:50:31 PM
Nothing good comes easy, so there must be a period of trials and that is the time when people will experience failure, but with perceverance and dedication, success will be attained. Crypto trading is hard and anybody that is coming into it must understand that it's not a get rich quick scheme, it's something that must be learnt diligently and along the way to perfection, loses are inevitable, from these loses the newbie trader will master strategies on how to minimize the loses. I've learnt on this forum that if a trader continues to experience constant loses over a long period, then perhaps trading is not for them, they can consider crypto investment that doesn't require much knowledge on trading analysis.
812  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Killing of Army officers in Delta State on: March 18, 2024, 08:26:30 AM
I feel very sad wen I hear dis news, Aldo I no know all di details of why soldiers enter dem town, weda na for peace keeping purpose or some big men carry dem come intimidate di rival town, because dat kind thing de happen, but wetin go make people to get mind kill soldiers no go be small thing. Di repercussions of dem acts now don affect both di innocent and guilty, I hear say soldiers don burn di houses for di town and everybody don run comot, both people wey support di killings and wey no support am. I hope say make dem fish out the killers and make di innocent people go start to rebuild dem lives again from scratch.
813  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump Demands All Jan 6 Detainees Be Released From Prison After Tucker Carlson.. on: March 18, 2024, 07:44:34 AM
And what about the protestors who have already been tried in court and been found guilty of all kind of charges, like trespassing, destruction/theft of federal property or those few who were actually found guilty of sedition against the government of the United States?

Should the American Justice just to say: "Okey, sorry". And let them to walk out free, ignoring the legal procedure that took place?

Those who committed federal crimes on that day are just better off waiting for the possibility of Trump coming back and singing a pardon for them instead, sounds more appropriate.

This issue is really making a mockery of the US judicial system, because some of us that are from developing countries sees the US as a country that upholds democracy and justice, and seeing the issue of these rioters in their capital still lingering till now doesn't speak well of what the US is known for. America, has a constitution and a judicial system, so what's the problem? If the rioters committed offences by trespassing into the capitol hill, or wherever that is restricted, then let law take it's cause, if the footages showed prove of any one or group that murdered anybody in the riot, then let them be charged accordingly. I really don't see the need for all this publicity, except their judicial is no longer capable of dispensing justice or it's just an election stunt by Trump, team.

815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why you need to have spare USDT in this bullrun. on: March 18, 2024, 06:02:15 AM

With the realization of what appeared to be dream, it looks like some new projects could be the centre of attraction in this coming bullrun as investors are looking for ways to maximize profits by being among the early birds in a particular project hence the reason you need to have some USDT kept aside to take advantage of this evolving new projects. What are your thoughts about this? Let's discuss.

For investors that have the risk absorber to gamble their funds in these new projects, it's ok for them to have standby funds in usdt, Incase they see a project that they feel confident to invest in, so they'll swap and be among the early investors, or they can leave their funds in Bitcoin to be accumulating profits for them pending the time they see a project to put money in, because usdt doesn't give you ROI. I'd just advice investors that are into new projects to carry out research before investing, and if the project pumps massively, let them sale because they don't know if the project will dip and never recover.
816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon Compares Bitcoin to Smoking on: March 17, 2024, 05:06:33 PM
It is funny that he is comparing bitcoin to smoking. They aren’t even comparable. I do get his points but those are just misconceptions. He keeps talking about bitcoin despite saying he doesn’t wanna do anything with it. He’s just gaining more attention with the use of bitcoin. Anyone who can do research will see that everything he says should not be taken seriously and literally.

Jamie Dimon's statement is infact joke of the day for me, if he's not interested in Bitcoin, then I wonder why he keeps talking about it, he should leave Bitcoin alone and focus on his financial interests, because the more he keeps criticizing it, the more people are seeing the irony of what he's saying. I can understand if anybody was being doubtful about Bitcoin in the early days of it's creation, even I was skeptical about it then too, but now that it has withstood the test of time and has proven to be a reputable and valuable asset, I don't see why some people will still doubt it, anyway they're entitled to their opinions, but that doesn't take anything away from the truth.
817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stop gambling if you don’t have free time to do it on: March 17, 2024, 03:43:04 PM
The first step to getting out of a problem is to first admit that there's a problem, and with the self realization of the problem will help the individual to find a solution, and I'm glad that you where able to see where your gambling problem lies and you delt with it. Prioritizing your time and knowing when to do things that needed to be done is very effective, so you shouldn't let gambling to disturb your capability of where you get your daily bread, because gambling doesn't assure you of steady income, infact you lose more than you profit in it. Gambling should be for your free time and remember to gamble the amount that you can afford to loose.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What cryptocur investment would you recommend a beginner for a a start up stage? on: March 17, 2024, 03:07:27 PM
If you've someone being introduced to the crypto world of investment, would you advice then to have their first experience with the AltCoins even as most of the AltCoins volatility potentials are so weak to rely on? If yes, what AltCoin would be best recommended for a beginner in a start up stage like that and if no, what other cryptocurrencies is advised?

The best crypto investment that any beginner should buy is none other than Bitcoin, it's the most reputable cryptocurrency and you don't need to carry out any research on whether it's a scam project, it's decentralized and is the best digital asset that will keep increasing in value. Investing in altcoins requires experience and if an investor is not knowledgeable they can fall into the trap of buying a scam project, so a newbie that wants to invest in altcoins without experience is simply gambling their fund. So they need to first Lean how to carry out research before investing, but it's not applicable to top altcoins like Ethereum, Solana and BNB, they're reputable altcoins that are safe to invest in.
819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you invest in BTC or MicroStrategy MSTR? on: March 17, 2024, 02:24:11 PM
Investing in Bitcoin and storing it in a secure wallet is the safest option. The reason is that it is decentralized and is not being controlled by a single entity. MSTR might be able to generate a higher return but it is not decentralized as it is controlled by Microstrategy. When you invest in Bitcoin you get the real product which is Satoshi whereas with MSTR you will only get a paper in return. If you think in the long term investing in Bitcoin will be more profitable than a stock in Bitcoin.

One of the safest investments that I know and can recommend to anybody is Bitcoin, because it's decentralized and not owned by a single entity, unlike MSTR that's owned by microstrategy, that is a private company, and their investors earnings will depend on their profit and lose. Bitcoin investment is more secured if an investor leaves his Bitcoin in a none custodial wallet, where he has total the autonomy to his coins, and despite how price dips, it'll always reach now ATH, so far it's hodled on the long run. Ofcourse an investor can invest what he can afford to loose on the short term in MSTR.
820  Economy / Economics / Re: Isn't it all about money? on: March 17, 2024, 01:27:44 PM
Because of these mindsets that you need to go to school, get a good grade that'll guarantee a good job, makes most people to think that going to school is the way to get rich and enjoy good life. This is why many people graduate every year with the high hopes that their certificates are a gateway to the good life, then they enter the labor market that has more graduates than available jobs, and then depression starts setting in. I think that we should go to school to gain knowledge and become a professional in a perticular area of study, get or create a job on it and earn money, but if someone wants to be rich, then the individual should think like an entrepreneur, because to be a millionaire you need to think like a millionaire, schools don't teach you that.
