801  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRADERS are not UNEMPLOYED on: April 29, 2024, 09:55:50 AM
Crypto trading is a job, just like any other jobs that a person does that they make profit or earn salaries from, these includes whether you're self employed or an employee. The only difference is if the money that comes in from the job is able to take care of the person's responsibilities, if not then the person might be compelled to quit, then get a better one or get a side job to earn more money.

Why I don't consider crypto trading as a full time job is because of the risks involved, it has some attributes of gambling, where you don't know how the market will swing anyday you enter trading, infact you're not in control of the market. What happens when you consistently encounter loses over a period of time, who'll take care of your responsibilities? I think that every responsible trader should have another source of steady income, so when they make profit in trading, it becomes a plus to their total income.
802  Other / Politics & Society / Re: France russia war soon on: April 29, 2024, 09:17:39 AM
Probably one of the hidden reasons why there are bad relations between France and Russia, has to do with Africa calling Russia in and kicking France out - https://duckduckgo.com/?q=france+in+africa&ia=web.  Of course, the US is getting kicked out of Africa, too - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5382794.msg64006008#msg64006008.

Cool
Your comment is a new angle to the rift between France and Russia, because this could be the underlying reason for these two giant countries faceoff. I know that France, is a democratic country, but most of the countries that they colonized are far from practicing true democracy, you'd see that most of these countries have one presidents that are ruling them for decades. People say that France, is the reason why this is, because they'll make sure that it's presidents that'll be loyal to them that'll be in power in those countries. People also say that Russia, has come to liberate these countries that France, has been taking all their natural resources, and this is why France is not happy with Russia.
803  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it advisable for a beginner to invest in a newly launch project? on: April 29, 2024, 07:40:22 AM
Every experienced forum member will definitely say NO to newbies investing in newly launched projects, even the existing ones should be properly researched before investing in them, because there are more scam projects than legit ones. For beginners without experience, they should just stick to the most reputable cryptocurrency which is Bitcoin, then if they want to go a step further in their investment, let them buy top altcoins that have proven their reputations in the crypto market, anything aside from these categories are risky to invest in, unless the newbie wants to gamble their funds.
804  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Multichoice new price rate on: April 28, 2024, 07:31:04 PM
Nothing de surprise me again for dis country, especially as e concern constant price increase of goods and services, so dis multichoice matter na part of normal thing for di country. But where dem matter de pain me pass be say we no get constant electric power supply for di country, infact you go de for days make you never take your eyes see NEPA light, and how many people de switch on dem generator regularly because of high fuel price, still your DStv or gotv subscription go de run, e no de fare at all.

I no know weda stertimes, still de operate for dis country again, e don tey wey I here about dem, if dem subscription de lesser and dem de show beta channels, den people go switch to dem services. This na opportunity wey oda TV subscription companies go take di advantage show interesting channels and change small money so people go patronize dem.

If e de possible for dis TV subscription companies to de charge per minute or hours wey dem customers switch TV on, dat one for beta pass.
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any airdrop farming which also gives bitcoins in addition to original token? on: April 28, 2024, 03:57:00 PM
I believe that the essence of airdrop reward is for the developers of a project to advertise and promote their token, therefore they'll not want to distribute Bitcoin to their perticipants, because it won't add any value to the project. I observed that you've reached full member rank, hopefully you'll join a signature campaign, and they'll reward you with Bitcoin, that is another way to earn and do DCA method to accumulate and hodle Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a valuable asset that doesn't need advertisements, and you shouldn't expect to get it through airdrops.
806  Economy / Speculation / Re: Post halving investing strategy. on: April 28, 2024, 02:48:30 PM
Post halving strategy is quite simple, for me it's keep accumulating, thanks to this short term Bitcoin price dip, I know that reaching the peak of bull run can not happen on the short term, so it's accumulate and hodle. As for altcoins, I'd say do you research first before buying any of them to avoid many scam projects that'll take advantage of the bull run to scam unsuspecting investors, you can however hold reputable top altcoins, they're most likely to be bullish after Bitcoin.
807  Economy / Economics / Re: How safe is it to keep your money and gold underground? on: April 28, 2024, 01:08:02 PM
The practice of keeping valuables like money and jewelries underground to protect them from theft and misplacement was ok in the olden days, when there was no internet and there wasn't much government regulations to protect people's money in the banks. Today the bank is the safest place to keep your money, nowadays banks must have huge deposits with their central banks, Incase they go bankrupt, so customers money can be refunded back to them. Thanks to the internet, you don't have to carry physical cash around to make payments, you'll just make digital transfers, and as for the precious stuffs like gold, you can put them in safe deposits. Technology has made it possible for people not to physical keep or carry their assets, except people who don't want their money and jewelries to known by the governments.
808  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC go back to $40K - $30K range before a bigger rally? on: April 28, 2024, 12:20:52 PM
We saw a new ATH before halving, then price began to dip, and the OP created this thread asking about price speculations before the halving, whether, it'll dip between $30k to $40k, anyways halving has happened and price is still hovering around $60k to $65k, it's approximately $63k now. I think that within this range that price is now will be it's correction before it'll starts to be bullish, because it has been around this range for quite a long time without any further significantly dip. But this is the crypto space, anything can happen and we can see a significant dump or pump on the short term.
809  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Small general trading place? [I wouldn’t know as I’m fairly new to this] on: April 28, 2024, 10:52:43 AM
You've head what to do from experienced forum members, adhere to their advice and you'll be on the safe side in your trading journey, if you ignore and go ahead, you'll end up worse off than when you're trying to enter. So it's really easy to summarize what you should do, $1 is very insufficient to start trading, even though it's said that you should trade with the amount that you can afford to loose, you need above $10 to exchange it to crypto, considering the transaction fees, secondly while you wait to save up more money, you can start with demo trading, to gain some experience about actual trading.

Why not start with Bitcoin investment? We're entering bull run and you can be accumulating Bitcoin, instead of saving the money. In the peak of bull run, you'd have made a reasonable amount on your ROI that you can use to start trading, plus you must have mastered some experiences from your demo trading by them.
810  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hard economy reshape citizens and society positively or negatively on: April 28, 2024, 09:28:57 AM
Human beings by nature can adapt to situations and environments, so it'll surprise you that the person that's living in a mansion can survive if he finds himself in a jungle tomorrow, so many citizens finds ways to adapt in any situations that they find themselves in their countries, whether positively or negatively. But no matter the harsh living conditions in a country, some people will still find ways to take advantage of it and make their lives better, while others will accept their conditions and become poorer.

The economy of my country is very bad, but despite it, many millionaires are emerging everyday, some legitimately and others fraudulently. The most important thing for everybody to survive in the face of hardship is not to lose hope, have faith and look out for the opportunities to survive.
811  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your favourite exchange can be nowhere to be found on: April 28, 2024, 08:11:56 AM
There are more crypto exchange service companies that have gone bankrupt or have been hacked that didn't make the OP list, example is Patricia, an exchange service in my country, they built a reputation and gained investors trust, eventually they were hacked, and their investors funds are gone. One of the best lessons that I've learned on this forum is that I shouldn't leave my coins in an exchange, no matter how reputable that they are, because they can go down anyday, "not your keys, not your coins". None custodial wallet is the best option to hold your coins, because you're the sole custodian of the private keys.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Shiba Inu token, is there a future for this? on: April 28, 2024, 06:56:46 AM
Among all the countless memecoins, dogecoin and Shiba Inu, stands out at the top, their reputations precedes the others as far as I'm concerned, so the OP can invest in it if he feels that it has the potentials to pump. The crypto market is quite unpredictable, sometime last year, people thought that Solana, was near dead, but today it's among the top altcoins, so again, if the OP feels strong about Shiba Inu, then let him invest the amount that he can afford to loose.
813  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Don't sell in loss on: April 27, 2024, 07:51:55 PM
From my observation many newbies de expect bull run to start immediately after halving, but as e no come happen like that, many of dem come de panic, unto say price fit continue to de dip and dem go wan sale di Bitcoin wey dem de hodl. Dis na my first halving experience and I don carry out research to understand say bull run no de happen immediately after halving, e go take some months before e go start. So infact na opportunity to de accumulate if person get di money, as di price still de dip, because for di peak of bull run na correct ROI de await di patient investors.
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Post halving, why are altcoins the most affected on: April 27, 2024, 06:32:45 PM
Altcoins are heavily affected negatively simply because bitcoin has been bearish in the short term and that altcoins in general have had huge multipliers already lol so it's just right for altcoins to have a huge correction. Even in fully-fledged bull markets, prices don't just go up in a straight line.
You just gave the most logical reason why altcoins are not bullish yet, that is because Bitcoin has been bearish on the short term, and it's a common knowledge that Bitcoin bull season precedes the altcoins bull season. So there's nothing to panic about because after halving, Bitcoin takes sometime to build up to bull run, and this is the reason why it's an opportunity for investors that wants to accumulate to do so before Bitcoin and altcoins prices starts to surge.
815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should only hold Bitcoin on: April 27, 2024, 05:52:53 PM
The name cryptocurrency that is used as a compound name for all crypto projects is somehow a dent on the reputation of Bitcoin, because if a newbie and any other inexperienced person is lured into buying a scam project, when the reality downs on them, they'll categorically call cryptocurrency a scam, including Bitcoin. So Bitcoin, also takes a fall for all the whole shitcoins that are in the crypto market, that is one of the reasons why ignorant people are still thinking that Bitcoin is a scam, and this is affecting it's speedy adoption worldwide. Bitcoin is the most trusted cryptocurrency, because it has proven that it's a store of value, at the same time I wouldn't call every altcoin a trash, top altcoins that have proven their reputations can also be trusted.
816  Economy / Economics / Re: Harmful effect of robot to the world. on: April 27, 2024, 05:12:37 PM
If you don't move with the time, it'll move without you, if robots were to take over most of the workforce from humans, it'll be difficult in the beginning, but with time humans will adapt and upgrade in ways to earn income. From the 1900 to present day, machines have been taking over parts of the human workforce, but still humans have found ways to still work alongside any new technological advancements. Ove twenty years ago people were still writing letters and sending through postal services, but today the internet has made communication very easy and convenient, and more people are earning incomes through internet now, so if robots were to take over our workforce, I'm sure that, it's maintenance will create more jobs for them.
817  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If all your wages were paid in USDT, would you accept it? on: April 27, 2024, 11:02:28 AM
I'll be happy to receive my salary in usdt if my country's fiat currency is devaluing due to inflation, so that it'll not affect the value of my money, so as the currency is devaluing the stablecoins will hedge it against the inflation  Secondly it'll be beneficial to me because I'm into cryptocurrency, it'll make it easier to convert it into any cryptocurrency for trading and investments. But it won't be beneficial to people whose economy are stable and also to people who're not into crypto businesses, they cannot easily spend it, they'll have to pay transaction fees in order to convert it to fiat.
818  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The leading cause of death in America today is PHARMACEUTICALS on: April 27, 2024, 10:04:20 AM
.
i remember how i had a sore throat and went to the doctor. the doctor prescribed quite a lot of medicine and after 2 weeks of consuming it there was no significant change in my throat. but when a friend recommended herbal treatment, it only took 3 days for my throat to improve. from this, now i trust herbal medicine more.
I've withnessed an event where a friend was receiving treatment for an ailment, he was in the hospital for about one week and wasn't feeling better, and the family decided that he receives alternative solution, he was discharged from hospital, took the alternative medication and become better. When I told a doctor friend about what happened to the friend, he said it could be that the drugs that had been given since one week was starting to cure the guy when he started taking the alternative medication. So let's not totally condemn pharmaceutical companies because they save lives, ofcourse there are bad eggs in the industry, but then ain't they in other industries too?
819  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Has Anyone Used This Crypto Recovery Service? on: April 27, 2024, 09:01:10 AM
...Do you believe what they have to say?

You have to accept the fact that your coins are irretrievably lost. If you continue to look for similar services that promise you to get your money back, then you should be prepared for the fact that your losses will only increase.
In order for the OP not to lose more money in the pursuit of his lost money, it's better that he should accept the fact that he's been scammed and move on, although it's painful especially if the stolen coins is of high value. The way that crypto is structured, I believe that the moment another person is in possession of your seed phrase and moved your coins, it'll be next to impossible to recover it, so I don't really believe in these so called crypto recovery services, because I've never heard about anybody that they've helped recover their stolen cryptos.
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will MemeCoins Fuel the Next Crypto Craze? on: April 27, 2024, 07:55:27 AM
Truly memecoins provides the hype and speculations that attracts investors to the crypto market, as stated in the OP, many people don't have that patience to wait on long term projects like Bitcoin and Ethereum, so they're ready to gamble their funds to make profits on the short term. I believe that this is the major reason why memecoins are fueling the crypto craze, as the subject of this thread captions it, and thanks to the Solana, network that is energized and accepting them as many as they come. But investors should understand that all that glitters is not gold, therefore they should carry out research first and invest the amount that they can afford to loose
