801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do I buy ICO tokens? on: June 16, 2017, 04:51:31 PM
The crowdsale should start in 5 days, you will be able to buy the tokens from the Itself, after the tokens are issued and the platform is developed etc. the tokens should be available on exchanges but we can't really know which until It's launched. This is valid for all ICOs and not just Civic, the sale happens on the official site.
802  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Ledgerwallet shipping on: June 15, 2017, 03:03:36 PM
Try ordering at Trezor if you dont mind what kind of hardware wallet it is. They had some minor delays several months ago but theyre shipping schedule is now back to normal. Check them out.

It's funny how almost every country is available for shipping the Trezor wallet while my country is not, no standard and no DHL either. I don't like it anyway, the design looks weird to me and I know that they are not as secure as Ledger nano S and of course the price is higher.
803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Can Bitcoin and Ethereum co-exist? on: June 12, 2017, 04:53:37 PM
This question belong to the Bitcoin discussion because It's mostly for the bitcoiners but feel free to move it If you think It shouldn't be here.

As we can see, Ethereum is increasing rapidly, some might say that the market cap means absolutely nothing as It's based on supply and Ether supply is bigger then bitcoin supply, or the demand is simply increasing because of the ICOs that only accepts ETH as a payment method, others might disagree with all of the above. The question now, do you believe that both BTC and ETH can co-exist or people would switch to ETH If bitcoin ever becomes #2 on CoinMarketCap?
804  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to investigate why withdrawal fails? on: June 11, 2017, 03:10:38 PM
If a withdrawal failed, assuming that you are speaking about exchanges, It's very unlikely that you will see anything on the blockchain because the transaction won't even be created at that case. The blockchain only shows the transaction that has been made, and in that case, It's very easy to read you will see the amount involved in the transaction, the address of both the receiver and sender, you could check the transaction details such as fees etc. (which could help you sometimes If your transaction is stuck because of low fees).
805  Other / Archival / Re: (Offering) Signature campaign manager on: June 10, 2017, 02:02:15 PM
I guess you got it wrong. You need to build trust by doing trades, being helpful to the community etc. then you offer escrow and signature campaign management services, It's not the other way around because people need to trust you before giving you such responsibility.
806  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: June 10, 2017, 01:22:24 PM
I just want to understand correctly - difference between posts and activity?

Posts: simple enough.
Activity: does sending PMs count?

(just checking)

Posts are simply a counter of your posts, they increase by one each time you post a thread/reply. Activity are something you gain automatically (as long as you have enough posts) with a maximum increase of 14 activity per two weeks, while reaching certain amounts of activity, you will rank up as mentioned on the OP. In your case, you will become Full Member after reaching 120 activity and the PMs has nothing to do with activity.
807  Economy / Service Discussion / Bitcoin debit card for Airbnb on: June 10, 2017, 12:18:33 PM
I want something that works for sure because I really don't have money to waste, It should work using the virtual card on Airbnb (UK). I have no problem If the fees are high or the virtual cost a little bit too much as long as It's not Wirexapp because I know the fees are huge. I prefer something that doesn't require any ID verification because I need this ASAP.
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any coin tied to the dollar? on: June 10, 2017, 10:20:37 AM
We do have Tether.to (USDT) which is totally backed by the U.S dollar or so they claim (1 USD = 1 USDT). It's dangerous though, as It already lost value in the past due to some issues with the banks they deal with etc.
809  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitcoinPriceValue.Com - A new bitcoin pricing tool on: June 10, 2017, 08:34:52 AM
The site looks not bad. It's displaying that 1 BTC = 0 USD though, the fiat currencies ComboBox is only showing the dollar. I'm also writing in the TextBox but nothing is showing, I believe the font is white and since the background is white too, nothing is showing up there. Finally, you should do it the way preev.com did it where there is no need of page loading, instead, retrieve the price once, and do the math based on that using jQuery/Ajax.
810  Economy / Speculation / Re: how long till cryptos hit $200 billion? predictions! on: June 10, 2017, 07:47:32 AM
I believe It's very likely to happen before the end of the year without any issues but let's just stop comparing ethereum to bitcoin. Rootstock is coming and It should bring smart contracts to bitcoin and If we had to compare both ETH and BTC networks, BTC will win any time, that should make more people switch.
811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: WALLET.DAT or SEEDS - What is the safest on: June 10, 2017, 07:16:27 AM
Been in the search of best way to secure my future bits (if there will be Cheesy). And I came up with this clients that supports wallet.dat and clients that support SEEDS. What do you prefer? And Why?

I would go with a seed myself, a file could get corrupted or get infected by a malware, Its easier to steal etc. I'd go with a printed seed and hide somewhere safe where no body could get access to and you are ready to go. If you only have the wallet.dat, you will need to remember the password as well otherwise you can't decrypt the file.
812  Economy / Exchanges / Re: localtrade.pro and livecoin is a scam on: June 09, 2017, 05:39:31 PM
I'm not sure I'm following you on this one, I never heard of LocalTrade.pro but what benefit would they earn from faking their trading volumes? as long as they are not responsible for any losses of their users or for doing market manipulation, they are pretty much free to do what they want, either that or I didn't get you.
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: June 09, 2017, 04:47:03 PM
What the shared means on the transition.byteball.org exactly? I have seen addresses where the amount of bitcoin is more but the share is less? and a share of 0 basically means that the user won't receive anything or It's a display error because there is nothing smaller then 0.0001 shares? I wanna know something too, the next distribution that should take place next month, I need to link my bitcoins again or not doing anything is fine?
814  Economy / Service Discussion / Ledgerwallet shipping on: June 09, 2017, 02:18:49 PM
I decided to buy one, last time I checked the page It was saying that they won't start shipping until July because they had too many orders. I checked today once again since I wanted to get one and now Its worst then ever, they won't ship anything until 1st August. If the days passes, are they going to increase that period? I don't want to spend money If they will delay each time.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New ICO's coming up on: June 09, 2017, 01:31:54 PM
I'm not much of an expert but I definitely see ICONOMI going to the moon (the ICO already finished) as for the current and upcoming ICOs then you have Mona.co which is a debit card and It looks very promising, It's worth mentioning that the crypto community is very interested in using these cards and that could result in making huge profits for those who bought the token, there is also CIVIC which is a great project but I have my doubts about the distribution of the tokens and their true value.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest to XMR or BCN ? on: June 09, 2017, 07:45:31 AM
Ripple is far from being decentralized so It's something you shouldn't put your trust on. I don't have enough information's about Bytecoin either but If you really want to invest, I would suggest buying ICNs as they are currently skyrocketing and their platform didn't launch yet, some ICOs you may want to consider are NVO.io and Mona.co card.
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What could I mine with the GTX 1080 Ti? on: June 09, 2017, 07:04:55 AM
Hi,
you should give "a little more" information,
if you are really interested in a good recommendation.

Tongue

What kind of more information I could give so you give me a good recommendation? I doubt that mentioning the RAM, CPU, Motherboard is going to help anyway. I only have one GTX 1080 Ti and I'm not even sure If it's going to be worth it or not, I also wanna know the downsides of this, Is it going to somehow reduce the lifespan of my GPU?
818  Economy / Services / Re: [Hiring] Create/Find Counter Strike 1.6 Server for me on: June 08, 2017, 09:21:51 AM
what are the specs of the vultr server?
I might have some time for this, please send met a PM what you can offer.

The specs of the server are enough to run a CS 1.6 server, that's for sure. If you can do this, P.M me. As for the offer, then I'm willing to spend like 5$ for it, Its negotiable though. I will only pay when I see results, and an escrow for holding funds is fine with me.
819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long will the big crypto rise last? What will happen to us after that? on: June 08, 2017, 08:32:27 AM
It will continue to rise over the years until people decide to stop buying which they probably won't because more people now see the real potentials of bitcoin and crypto currencies in general and since the price is based on supply and demand, do the math.
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What could I mine with the GTX 1080 Ti? on: June 08, 2017, 08:10:05 AM
I was planning to upgrade my PC parts since It's being more then 10 years since I didn't change anything. I'm going to use it for multiple purposes (gaming, 3D modeling etc.) but I was wondering If I could mine something with it that actually worth it? I'm unfamiliar with the mining process or how profitable it is by the way.
