801  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: where you get bitcoin every day? on: April 11, 2015, 04:06:54 PM
I usually post daily on my break but not much, so I get some satos through that.
Other than that it's mostly buying and trading (not daily tho).
802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cryptography. on: April 11, 2015, 04:05:44 PM
It's open source and it's not crackeable unless the gov has quantum machines ready to bruteforce SHA256 based passes (thats just straight Sci-fi). So yeah, you can be safe with your BTCs, the only problem one has is storing them in a place that can't be accessed online, and even if they did they would need to crack the pass, which is impossible given it's a decent one.
So your main mission is not forgetting your pass. If you want to be your own bank that's expected. If not, you always have stuff like Xapo.
803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1MBCON Advisory System Status: Yellow Alert ELEVATED on: April 11, 2015, 04:01:30 PM
If Bitcoin makes it as a global payment system that wants to rival the current electronic payment leaders, not even 20MB will be enough... what are going to do then?

Right now it is a problem, if the fork happens, 20MB will last for a couple of years, then we'll meet the same problem ad infinitum...

What can be done about this? Didn't Satoshi predict this? What was his take on this matter??
804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone successfully evaded collections agencies by exchanging fiat into BTC? on: April 11, 2015, 03:56:12 PM
As far as I know your best bet for this is LocalBitcoins and meeting locally (in person) with trusted sellers and exchange the BTC for cash, so no extra information is needed.
805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kaspersky and INTERPOL Say Blockchain is Vulnerable on: April 11, 2015, 03:53:20 PM
Sounds like not really found based scaremongering for Kaspersky and friends to start selling us "Crypto-antiviruses" of some sort.
806  Economy / Speculation / Re: When? on: April 02, 2015, 08:19:32 PM
Well no one knows... Bitcoin is still very much an asset whose price is based on speculation. Gox's downfall and the introduction of leveraged trading across exchanges pushed the price worse than ever before. If we manage to go above $310 now, I guess the bear market is over. But those are just my 2 Satoshi...
I think 310 is definitely going to happen in the summer, from now on then its a very slow uptrend with lots of people jumping off the boat in the meantime due scary factor.
807  Economy / Speculation / Re: Greece to adopt Bitcoin as currency on: April 02, 2015, 08:03:58 PM
Yeah, April Fools day, but the idea is awesome and also that Varoufakis has Bitcoin on his radar is nice. It could be interesting to buy an amount of €1-10m just in case...
He has been learning about bitcoin and even said this about it:

Quote
What is Bitcoin (or BTC for short)?

It is a beautiful algorithm.

If Einstein, von Neumann and Nash were the beautiful minds of the 20th Century, BTC is the 21st Century’s beautiful algorithm. A brilliant answer in search of a worthy question. A breath-taking solution to as yet undiscovered problems! But democratising and de-politicising money will not be one of them, I am afraid. It will not replace government issued money and it is not about to enfranchise the world’s billions that live in poverty, contrary to the lofty pronouncements of its evangelists.

808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Keiser Report: Russell Brand (min 8.40 to min 12.30) on: April 02, 2015, 07:44:07 PM
I think Stacey was there to keep them from losing their self control.
Stacey is the only sane mind left on that show even tho she is also a 9/11 conspiratard so im not that sure about that anymore.
809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone has heard of bitcoin! (actually.. most still haven't) on: April 02, 2015, 07:41:49 PM
Everytime I pay for something I always ask if they take BTC.  Try it, see how many people ask you what the hell you are talking about.

Furthermore most of those people that actually have heard of it think there is some Bitcoin CEO..
Yeah, I have never seen anyone taking Bitcoin in real life. Those that say "everyone know about it but noone is accepting it" are obvious FUDsters that go on the ignore list.
810  Other / Off-topic / Re: NEWS FLASH: Satoshi Nakamoto Unearthed on: April 02, 2015, 07:40:49 PM
Aren't we done with April's foul jokes, some of them even hurtful like the one pretending Gox BTC are about to be returned? I didn't loose BTC with Gox but I imagine those that did wouldn't appreciate such a joke to much...   Undecided
No such thing as enough april fool jokes for people on the internet... so get ready for a month full of literal bullshit everywhere.
811  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is like a bible book on: March 30, 2015, 09:22:31 PM
i can see comparing it in the way of jesus coming with the bibble(satoshi coming with bitcoin), but the problem is that satoshi could be more than one person

Christians believe in the bible, like early adopters believe in bitcoin, it can make sense i suppose  Cheesy
Well if I was one of the very early adopters and become a millonaire overnight I may have gone insane enough to think that Satoshi is Jesus H Christ thyself blessing me with being one of the chosen ones, sadly I never will know that feel, but will surely thank Satoshi in the future when BTC goes 10K.
812  Economy / Economics / Re: I need bitcoin to be $690 to break even.....will I make it? on: March 30, 2015, 09:20:26 PM
Well i have good news OP.

The recent NASDAQ positive news will push really positive stuff into the bitcoin so it can rise really fast by the end of this year.

If you afford to keep your investment until the end of year it can go back to 690$ i think!
Probably around that by the end of the year yeah, but I cant wait for new ATH. It has to be broken again to prove the fact Bitcoin's success is inevitable and will recover from any crash.
813  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I believe on: March 30, 2015, 09:17:36 PM
I have seen that card of Satoshi being posted before. As far as I know OP is using it without the original authors permission? or you did that card?
If it's not part of the project (not used commercially) i guess it doesnt matter.
814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you convince a newbie to use BTC? on: March 30, 2015, 06:20:15 PM
You cant really convince people telling them, you can showing them. Show them how you can easily convert BTC into fiat quickly without anything else but a smartphone with bit2me. This is effective.
815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Satoshi still spendng his bitcoins? on: March 30, 2015, 06:02:20 PM
I started to just follow one of the bitcoin address and the flow of btc from a given bitcoin address claimed to have owned by Satoshi by one of forum members

From this image:
https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FiDMNXFo.png&t=541&c=XEIGWtzYDM2MOQ

Where are addresses of this very large cold wallets?
One of the coins went to each of these addresses:
  • 1Kf33BbrJDuAVC91w9ACtRgf6KJrLWSkHV
  • 1GEPJiMSDvXHU83GhHHxrVmWL7tt7HPVyD

The first ever bitcoins  https://blockchain.info/tx/0437cd7f8525ceed2324359c2d0ba26006d92d856a9c20fa0241106ee5a597c9

Found that last year a transaction is made https://blockchain.info/address/1JfTwtVUtrnqcicAefCo3f9nLTKYy7wxhV , so the question is , is still Satoshi spending small amount of Bitcoins  Huh

Well considering he created the whole thing it wouldn't be surprising that he makes a daily use of it no?
816  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who is the most powerful politician? on: March 27, 2015, 12:09:54 AM
Probably Obama, USA is still nº1 no matter what, but Putin can play a big role as a destabilizing agent if he allies with other nutjobs like Kim Yung Un and so on.
817  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to buy from the UK anonymously on: March 27, 2015, 12:00:30 AM
I suggest you can use localbitcoins.com. but beware of scams.
This, check that the seller has been registered for months and that he has completed a big number of successful transactions, otherwise do not risk it.
818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust yourself to manage your own private keys? on: March 26, 2015, 11:59:21 PM
I think the whole point and what makes bitcoin cool is being your own bank, beside the great way to do worldwide transactions easily. I like the feeling of controling my own wealth. Of course guaranteed I get why some people would choose to not do it themselves.
819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitseed - Run a full bitcoin node device! on: March 26, 2015, 11:16:23 PM
Im gonna run a node the classic way (having Bitcoin-QT opened) as soon as my 16 GB of extra ram arrive. This should allow me to do anything I want while having my wallet synced 24/7.
820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 9% Of Americans 'Puzzled' And 'Confused' on: March 26, 2015, 11:10:49 PM
....After they saw the Bitcoin Logo
http://bitforum.info/t/survey-says-9-of-americans-confused-about-bitcoin-logo/665

Do you think 9% is a little bit too small?
I think if I go to our public market with a bitcoin logo printed in my shirt and ask people around, I might get a 95% or even a hundred.
I dont know where you live but I conducted a small survey here and not a single person know what even bitcoin was.
