801  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin halving is real? on: July 07, 2016, 05:17:26 PM
It's hard to tell if the price will increase or not. We've already had some big increases this year so that could be accounted for already. The price also depends on individuals that are investing and their demand for bitcoin, so you can't always predict what people will do in this situation.
Yes it is hard to have a gesture but the most probable thing is that the price will not increase and it is capable to decrease.
If you think that way you are limiting the capability and value of bitcoins to be big in the future, we should believe in the price increase even though we cannot predict the right outcome but bitcoin has never stop surprising us.

The price will increase mainly due to the adoption by the general public. It is less affected by halving in the future.

it all depends on the price. it's true that due to the fact that there will be less and less coins to be mined that the impact will be smaller, but if the price increases with 200% for example, the halving will still have a great impact on the price.
802  Economy / Speculation / Re: What price should I buy at? on: July 07, 2016, 03:55:36 PM
bitcoin might if the price drops below $ 600, it is the right time to buy bitcoin. because in the near future, bitcoin prices will rise, I believe that halving will happen again, and make bitcoin prices higher., even up to a price of $ 1,000

if you plan to hold your coins for the very long term, then even right now is a great moment to enter the market. but you must not panic when the price is getting dumped to the ground. just keep holding and you'll be fine.
803  Economy / Speculation / Re: its time to sell if you haven't already on: July 07, 2016, 02:26:04 PM
Volume is dropping everyday the hype is over , just as i said it would be days before the halving. Goodluck people
At the moment it is not the best time to sell because the price is stable at the moment and not very high, I am sure that if you wait a bit longer that you will be able to make more money.
So wait bit longer and I am almost sure that you going to bale to make more money with them.
You can sell if you want to but that choice is up to you to make because if you can make a profit the why not sell it is not going to hurt you.
If you wait and hold on then there is chance that you will be bale to make more money tho.

it also depends on how much profit you have made. if you made a profit of at least $50 per coin, then it's a decent profit to sell for. but if you just made around $10-$20 profit per coin, then it's definitely better to keep holding.
804  Economy / Speculation / Re: BUY or SELL bitcoins ? What you prefer ? on: July 07, 2016, 01:55:30 PM
Well I think for now it is time to hold bitcoin not to buy not to sell. IMO bitcoin's price now is high but I know it will rise more. It is not just wise to buy bitcoin at a very high price since you will get a little profit.

At this stage I will prefer to hold the coins that I have and will not prefer to buy till the halving is done, and if price drops after the halving then definitely will buy some more coins.

smart people buy when the price is going down as that will give you the best profits. i never buy with all my money at once. i always buy with around 10-15% of my money. this allows me to keep buying all the way down. that way it allows me to buy at the bottom and benefit at most from the price going up.
805  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stable Bitcoin Price on: July 07, 2016, 11:11:15 AM
Actually nobody can predict the stable price for bitcoin recently it going up and down very quickly, I think it is more stable above $600 so that is why it have pretty good chance for next floor above $700 very soon before block get halving.

The price will mainly trade between $600 to 700 in the next few months. But it may drop below $600 briefly.

everything is possible, but i think the $600 price level will get supported long enough to not let it fall below it. otherwise it would be quite sad. of course there is always money to be made whether the price goes up or down, but i am also interested in seeing the price climb up steadily, and not fall back to before block halving prices.
806  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is now a good time to buy and store Bitcoin? on: July 07, 2016, 10:53:20 AM
Well man I suggest that you don't buy for now. There is a big risk of you losing money if you buy now because it is sitting at 640.9$ and it can go down to 500$ so don't buy now. Just wait for another dump and buy when it reached below 550$.

if you buy now, and the price indeed happens to go down quite a bit, then you have not lost anything. you only lose money when you start selling at a lower price than where you bought your coins at. if you think the price may go down, then keep waiting. but it can also make you miss out on another rally that might push the price to $800 and higher. there are risks in either way. if you don't buy now, you risk missing the price go up. if you buy now, you risk seeing the price go down further.
807  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your predictions for 2016 on: July 07, 2016, 10:42:21 AM
i think that in 2016 we will reach a new all time high because of the bitcoin halving
I predict that the price at the end of 2016 is going to be $1000, I am not 100% that it is going to happen but I do believe that it is possible.
If it is not going to happen then it is going to happen next year in 2017 but it would be better if it happened sooner ten later.

reaching the $1000 price level before the end of the year is definitely a realistic possibility, but i personally aim for 2017 before we reach $1000 again. it gives the price enough time to build strong support levels while it goes up slowly. i always prefer a slower growth as it is far more sustainable compared to when it peaks at $1000 in a matter of weeks. then you know the price will go down heavily again.
808  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will one BTC ever reach the value of 50k? on: July 07, 2016, 10:29:28 AM
It is possible for the price the reach 50k at some point in the future but when it will happen I do not know.
First we have to reach $1000 before are going to talk about anything higher then that because we have to stay realistic.

exactly! there are many threads where people are talking about insanely high price levels. it makes no sense to talk about $50,000 prices while we are far below the $700 price level. when we finally touch the $1000 price level again, then people can have a fantasy about reaching $2000 prices. and when we reached $2000 then people can speculate about reaching $3000. that makes sense. from below $700 to $50,000 doesn't make sense.
809  Economy / Speculation / Re: its time to sell if you haven't already on: July 06, 2016, 11:10:30 AM

the hype around the block halving is indeed coming to an end, but the correction has already been done when the price dropped from around $770 to far below the $600 level.

But right now it's $666. What do you mean by "the correction has already been done"? Do you mean the actual price of Bitcoin should be below $600?

IMO media will be talking about halving a lot and that will attract more people to Bitcoin like it was during the first Silk Road bust. The price rised from $200 to $1200 then.

the price went up high in a very short time. and we all know that nothing goes only up in value. at some point a massive correction will follow taking the price down due to people securing profits. it looks like that was the big correction. that's what i mean with saying the correction has already been done. media attention can indeed cause a massive influx of get rich quick people to invest into bitcoin.

811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Are Just Too Stupid to Use Bitcoin Right Now on: July 06, 2016, 09:35:10 AM
The halving is coming so i think it is not wise to spend or use your bitcoin now because you can earn when you just save your coins and wait for the price to increase. it really depends on people what they want to do with their bitcoins maybe they have reason and i think in my opinion its not right to call them stupid.

i don't agree with this at all.

you have to always try to spend your bitcoin otherwise how can you even expect bitcoin to grow and reach those big prices that you see all over the forum.

bitcoin needs to be used first by you and me so the demand as a currency grows so that a lot more services start accepting bitcoin then we can see bigger prices.

Keeping bitcoin unused is the worst thing you can do with your coins, either spend it or else convert it to your local currency, the circulation of bitcoin is essential to take its price to a higher level in future.

people are free to use bitcoin the way they want. it's a multi purpose tool if you so wish. it can be used as a currency to buy and sell stuff. it can be a store of wealth. it can be an investment tool, and so on. and beside that, there are enough coins in circulation to keep people happy. the higher the price is, the smaller the transaction will be eventually.
812  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: July 06, 2016, 09:22:36 AM
If you want to make allot of money then is that not the best strategy off course but i can tlel you when you hold that coin for so long the price can do allot of strange
things i hope the price will rise offcourse but we will never know that for sure.

I think it is a good idea to buy one bitcoin today and hold for the next 20 years. The price could be $50000 each.

don't think the price will come close to the $50,000 price level, ever. but you can just keep holding it for that long just to see where bitcoin goes. maybe it will indeed become worth a lot, and maybe it will become worth next to nothing. only time will tell.
813  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: July 06, 2016, 09:05:25 AM
I can say 50 percent on bitcoin and another 50 percent on Gold , on gold side if it is investment we can buy paper gold like gold ETFs or E-Gold , in case of jewelry buy real gold when price is low and use it as needed.

If you invest 50:50 on gold and bitcon. In 20 years, the ratio will be 10:90. The bitcoin will rise faster.

bitcoin has much more potential future growth than gold. i think everyone, or at least nearly everyone agrees with that. the only difference is that with gold you have the guarantee that it's still here after 100 years. with bitcoin that remains to be seen. we don't even know if it's still the leading digital currency after 10 years. but if bitcoin lives up to its expectations, then i have no doubt about bitcoin being successful and still leading after 10 years.
814  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin go back to bellow $400? on: July 06, 2016, 07:36:39 AM
I do not know, we can not guess the price of bitcoin, especially at this price point is very difficult to predict bitcoin. it could happen, because bitcoin prices tend to be unstable, but I guess it will not happen in the near future, and I feel that the price of bitcoin is currently developing ride. so for the moment we do not have to worry about the price of $ 400

what's so special about the current price that it makes it harder for you to predict where the price is heading compared to volatility from let's say in 2014 and 2015? i don't see any differences. bitcoin is as volatile and unpredictable as it always was.
815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: July 06, 2016, 06:32:09 AM
Absolutely, Bitcoin (the currency/commodity) is primed and ready to take over banks (lending/savings institutions).

People that know absolutely nothing about finance

People that know absolutely nothing about math

People that know absolutely nothing about governments

People that know absolutely nothing about computers or software

 Have a home with Bitcoin

bitcoin definitely has the potential to replace/take over banks and even transform the current financial industry. but i can't really see banks and governments allowing bitcoin to come close as it can be their end. governments will lose out on billions of yearly profits, and banks will fall one by one. at this point it's more a fantasy than something that's really achievable.
816  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have BTC. Should I sell or hope for price to rise? on: July 06, 2016, 06:17:35 AM
The price has not started to increase after the fall from the price around $800. Now only minor variations were taking place. Its better to hold till halving because most users have quoted that there is high possibility for increase than decrease.

maybe that we will not see much increases as we are heading very close to the block halving now. looks like we have already seen the rally which brought the price very close to the $800 price level. maybe that we'll see $700 again just before the block halving, but not more than that. people now seem to be waiting for something that might not come anymore.
817  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach $700 again on: July 06, 2016, 06:07:26 AM
Offcourse will the bitcoin hit the 700 each and i think at the end of 2016 the bitcoin will hit more than the amount of 700 each. I think
that the bitcoin will hit the 1000 each after this year so the year of 2016 will be to good for the bitcoin at the end off course.

Definitely, it reached 700+ last month.  Although it seems to stabilize at 660 it will probably reach 700 again in a week or two.  It may be down now compared to yesterday's price but it may rise again.  So better hold on to your bitcoins until it reach 700+ again.

these little changes are only for daytraders but it is not changing anything about the fact that bitcoin price has been stable for the past couple of weeks and that is a good sign in my book. because there is an accumulation going on and this have always led to a big rise right after this stable period ends.

price swings of $40-$50 are not exactly what i consider to be 'little changes'. there is enough volatility to make good profits. btw, bitcoin has not been stable for weeks. just open bitcoinwisdom charts and you'll see it too.
818  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 per Bitcoin ??? on: July 05, 2016, 09:08:47 PM
it seems to be difficult to break the 10,000 USD. we may need to wait longer than 5 years to reach that price. for this year may be about 1000 USD.

we need much more time in order to reach $10,000 prices. and on top of that we need wall street level traders as they can play with millions without breaking a sweat. without their millions and potentially even billions we will never see such a price.
819  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: July 05, 2016, 07:04:15 PM
I`m sure there would be a dump if price hits towards $1k upwards.

Cause i know by so many of us have been waiting for those prices 2 years ago or longer for most.

if the price happens to touch the $1000 price level, then i will surely use that opportunity to cash out a good amount of profits. and as you also said, there are people who are waiting so long for the price to get back to such a price level again. it will take a few attempts before the price somewhat settles above the $1000 price level.
820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: July 04, 2016, 04:44:25 PM
yeah just like other people stated in the comments. People will always use Any kind of money to do those  illegal activities.
Btc is not an exception just like cash. So yeah i  think it has no difference whether its btc or cash

exactly that. the media however always takes out bitcoin as being the bad guy. they don't care or look at the fact of how much fiat money and prepaid credit cards are being used for illegal things. they always point at bitcoin. it's a shame. this just shows how ignorant the larger media channels are. or they are running an anti bitcoin campaign to scare off people.
