I believe Beterbiev has more power behind the punches than Canelo because it is Beterbiev's natural weight class while Canelo is on the lower class division.   Although I agree that Bivol knows how to counter strong punchers the question is, can Bivol absorb the power of Beterbiev without any problem?

We will see to it once negotiations have started. Beterbiev just won so maybe talks about his fight against Bivol will be set aside for at least a month. More importantly, Beterbiev is vocal that he wants Bivol next and there's no other opponent he should face after beating Yarde.

Bivol on the other hand is chasing more titles on his hand and 3 of those LHW titles are owned by Beterbiev. He will surely target that as part of his collections. Bivol is chasing legacy and we all know that.
802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: January 30, 2023, 11:58:14 PM
Donaire's retirement was postponed because Donaire feels that he can still box.

I think there's no plan for retirement Donaire even after losing to Inoue in his last fight. He believes he can still fight so he pushes for another fight. And it just happened that Inoue moved up weight giving him another opportunity to fight for the title match and fast forward, WBC ordered him as rank 2 and Moloney as rank 1 to fight for the title.

We will see in this match if Donaire can still fight on his usual and claim again another world title. If happened, he will be the older boxer to get a championship title.
803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 29, 2023, 11:59:39 PM
Really hard to see how the Beterbiev vs Bivol will turn out. Obviously, Beterbiev has the power, but Bivol has the footprint and the volume punching.

Agree. It's hard to imagine what will be the output if they will clash.

However, I might side with Bivol here. He knows how to counter strong punchers, even how dominant that boxer is, with his patient style of strategy.

When Bivol faces Canelo, which is a solid puncher, Bivol did the right thing to take things slowly until he managed to piss Canelo and destroy its rhythm. The strong punches by Canelo become soft because Bivol is able to counter him not just thru physical bout but also mental bout.
804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: January 29, 2023, 11:59:23 PM
And Bivol also targeting Canelo for a rematch either 168 or 175, so this fight might have to wait then as this will be Bivol's priority for sure. And if he won against Canelo again then go for the unification, that will be the perfect scenario.

Bivol targeting Canelo? Maybe that's the other way around and Canelo is the one targeting Bivol for a rematch.

Bivol doesn't target a big name without a good return. He will only fight those boxers with hold titles regardless of their popularity.

There is also no way that Bivol will move down and fight at 168 lbs. If Canelo wants a rematch, he's the one to need to adjust.
805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to bet on Billiards sports? on: January 29, 2023, 11:58:58 PM
Billiards don't have the usual matches I believed compare to other sports that's why maybe we rarely see them listed in bookies.

So just imagine if it's about a world competition or a tournament. The betting market here might be not that big too.

Maybe we can just see those at local fiat bookies but not sure if crypto-gambling sites will consider listing it.
806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hit And Run Gambling - Can The House Be Beaten This way? on: January 29, 2023, 11:58:12 PM
...
Secondly, imagine that on your first day of gambling, you gambled $200 and in the process, won money running into hundreds of thousands of dollars, you withdraw the money and start up your own business, and never returned to gambling again, isn't this one way to beat the house?

every time some one is able to realize a profit "indeed" he has beaten the house and of course this is a nice example (but really hard to see in real life).
It's really hard to see some one not "gambling again" since most of the times gamblers are playing also for fun... and Casinos are pretty aware of this stuff (just see promotions, rake-back, bonus etc... Wink )

Hard to resist when we win. Winning around $100-$200 can't really make us stop. That winning is fairly small.

Fact that we able to win, we will always try to gamble again as luck is near to us.

Salute to those gamblers that can resist 100% to continue after winning an amount I have mentioned. Smiley
807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: January 28, 2023, 11:58:47 PM
Artur Beterbiev successfully defends his title against Anthony Yarde.

The early rounds were tough for both boxers and Yarde is able to keep up with Beterbiev. He was even able to connect some good shots on Beterbiev. But the champion is always a champion and after being fairly outscored at some point, he came out aggressive in 4th round and that's where the trouble on Yarde started.

I thought Yarde, that fully turned serious during the period of his training, will last a whole fight but ended up short.
808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too accessible of online casino grows addiction faster? on: January 28, 2023, 11:52:08 PM
What do you think about this claim? Is he right or wrong?

I don't think an obvious difference can be compared and needs any further discussion.

Of course, gambling physically does have its own advantages and disadvantages for a gambler, same goes for online gambling. It now depends on users' preference if they want to play gambling in physical casinos or just online.

..and no shortage of losing money as well,

Disagree. If you think online gambling will minimize your loss, you better think again.

The more convenient and accessible gambling way, the more prone to losing money. Smiley
809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hit And Run Gambling - Can The House Be Beaten This way? on: January 28, 2023, 11:41:12 PM
Imagine yourself as a new gambler who just joined a casino, played a few dollars and with luck on your side, you win money running into thousands of dollars, will withdrawing your money plus winnings from that casino, never to return there to play again, mean you have beaten that casino?

Secondly, imagine that on your first day of gambling, you gambled $200 and in the process, won money running into hundreds of thousands of dollars, you withdraw the money and start up your own business, and never returned to gambling again, isn't this one way to beat the house?

Seriously, why do you consider both scenarios as beating the house?

The scenarios you have mentioned are just one of the common approaches when somebody wins at the casino. Technically, winning profits at a casino doesn't mean you literally beat the house.

In other words, with that winnings, the house even favors you, and be thankful for that. Smiley Now up to you if you will continue or not.
810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: January 28, 2023, 07:10:35 PM
No, AI may be intelligent but cannot predict anything. They are programmed to give a certain output to a certain input. They may try, but in the long run, I think we are still very far off from seeing that. I would like to think that the only way this may happen is if we have a cyborg, but that isn't going to happen. I have yet to see a thread of ChatGPT predictions. I guess they will not be accurate. Besides, ChatGPT still needs a lot of data and training to reach accuracy in whatever predictions it makes.

In fairness with the AIs, since they are programmed, they have access to all known sources that's why they can make a reasonable output.

Obviously, it shouldn't be relied on but what matter here is, since bots are relying on several sources, it can give us a good reference already without searching for other sources as the AI gave it all.

In sports betting, if we are familiar with the league and follow it regularly, any prediction from the AI can be considered just a choice.
811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 28, 2023, 07:06:32 PM
Even without Bollick, Northport was able to make the game a close one. Nlex was just able to pull away from Northport mid the fourth quarter. But in the quarters before, Northport was able to stay close to Nlex. I think Northport's import is good but easily distracted and loses focus with the physicality of the game.

With Bolick's way of playing where he always ball hog and owned the role of being the main scorer, it leads for his teammates to freely rotate the ball as Bolick is not there. It actually becomes a good reason that Bolick is currently not playing as other casts of the team are being fully utilized.

Bolick is known to always not try to become a shadow by their import. Instead of the play was designed on the import, Bolick will ruin it and instead, will do the job. It's actually good that Bolick is having a mindset like that where he don't want to rely on import but it seems to me that for him, it's a competition and not a team work.
812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: January 28, 2023, 06:57:00 PM
Yes, he might not have a problem, but it can pose a threat to his body as he is not getting any younger. But it's better for him to stay at 118 lbs, I think this weight is perfect for him. We have seen him knocking out his opponents and even goes to the finals with Inoue at the WBSS tournament. But I do agree that he target 115 lbs because Inoue has beaten him. And now that Inoue moves up, Donaire should be fine with this division again and could be the champion next if ever he beats Moloney.

118 to 122 lbs are Donaire's comfort zone. He is already used to fighting in that weight range. I don't think that there will be too much difference in his performance if he decides to fight at 122 lbs instead of 118 lbs. He already knows how to deal with that weight class.

Do you mean a 40-year-old boxer will perform better at 118 compared to 122? That doesn't make sense as regardless, it's the level of performance of his opponent that will test his skills. What I mean is, what's the sense of Donaire experiencing 2 tough fights against Inoue at 122 lbs if what he learns here will be applied to opponents at 118 lbs?

Let Donaire experience to himself if he can still win against other Bantamweight with the exception of Inoue.
813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 28, 2023, 06:51:38 PM
I believe that CP3 got old, and he used to be a floor general for that team, meaning they had some good players in the team and CP3 managed to bring the best out of those players and gave them the ball exactly when they needed it, he knew who needed the ball early on to get hot, he knew how long it would take them to get cold to keep them hot etc etc. However, the older he got, the less he could do any of that.

Plus, the whole thing with Ayton not wanting to be there and wanting to get paid a lot more but failed to do that, ended up with some resentment between him and the club as well. All these combined caused Booker to be a lone star, and he can't do much by himself, he needs some help.

What I see in this Phoenix Suns is, no one literally can be called a leader now that's why instead of progressing into a much-improved team, which actually they already did before, lots of dramas rise on this team and their key players are mostly involved.

As far as the trading rumor goes on this team, they are doing some moves before the trade deadline. Hope that it will change the whole atmosphere of the team which is currently not that good and that's the obvious scene there.

For who are those players that will be involved, let's stay tuned on this.
814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: January 28, 2023, 06:46:17 PM
Fulton will regret this fight, none of his opponents of Inoue in the past has not gone down because of his power, so I don't think Fulton will be an exception, especially since Inoue is making his debut in the super bantamweight division, he will make sure that he will again have an impressive win.

But if Fulton didn't accept this title defense against Inoue, then it will leave a question on his reputation that he's afraid of facing the Japanese boxer.

He originally set for a rematch with Brandon Figueroa, but in a different weight class, and it's already set for February 26. But instead, he negotiated with Naoya Inoue and Figueroa might face instead the former WBC Featherweight Champion, Mark Magsayo.

Good to see that Fulton decided to stay at 122 lbs and Naoya Inoue itself claimed that Fulton is so far the biggest challenge in his career.
815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 27, 2023, 11:59:37 PM
Since I have read that Nery already has a scheduled bout against Azat Hovhannisyan, then it means obviously that they don't want to fight Casimero as there is no bearing fighting a lower rank where Nery is already at the top rank.

If that's the case, Casimero should choose another boxer below rank to Nery and have no choice but to have more winnings in able to get a chance to face a top contender. Hopefully this year, Casimero can close at least 2 fights and win it in order to get a recognition.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Medical student wins lottery 5 times after embezzling graduation funds on: January 27, 2023, 11:59:16 PM
The experienced is not a joke. I don't understand why there's a person who is brave enough to risk such a huge amount of money in gambling.

And the surprising part is that's not even their money so where the hell they are getting the courage to face the risks?

That girl ruined his reputation and sorry to say that she just wrecked her good future.
817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 27, 2023, 11:59:01 PM
Great timing @Yamifoud. Mikey Williams took control and Pogoy has done some damage as well. The 1st half of the ROS are impressive, but on the 2nd half, they relied so much on their import and that resulted in their import getting tired, he has also missed important free throws so TNT are just fouling him since he is unstoppable when he drives the ball inside.

Great work by Mikey Williams. But did you guys hear the rumor that Mikey Williams is once again doing some diva attitude?

I don't know the exact details but it seems that TNT's issue with Williams won't end. At every conference, there's always news about Wiliams's sudden change of personality and behavior.

With Jolas Lastimosa as their coach and one of the people who criticized Williams before during its last shown of being a diva, expect that there will be a personal issue between these two.
818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: January 27, 2023, 11:58:48 PM
Inoue had dominated the bantamweight division and as a champion into that particular area then its impossible for a boxer who wouldnt tend to climb up on the ladders and would really be tending to go one step higher at a time.It would neither be mandated or some selection but there's no other way that he could go but into this one which leaving to take some decisions whether on taking it or not.Thing here is that they do
rush up on going with Fulton and this is a different weight category which it seems that they are really that too much confident about Inoue's fighting prowess.  Smiley

Agree. Inoue has a good portfolio entering the Super Bantamweight and it's quite a waste of opportunity or chance if he will face a boxer at this weight class with no hold title. Inoue against a champion is already a good treat to us boxing fans and there's no other boxer aside from the 122lbs that is a good match to Inoue.

If Fulton will able to beat Inoue, that's a great achievement for him, and expect a big break for him. After Inoue, Fulton can take the other champion then finally he can move up to 126lbs and try to dominate that weight class. He is qualified in the Featherweight division after all.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Power Slap League on: January 27, 2023, 11:58:34 PM
I don't have the interest to bet on this kind of sport. It's not even sports to begin with.

The reason is, there's no heavy favorite or underdog here. These people are categorized therefore the match was well balanced.

The first one to always got the chance to slap fight will always have the advantage. Don't want to a place a bet for that.
820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 26, 2023, 11:59:31 PM
Alright, it was reported that NorthPort already offered a max contract extension on Robert Bollick. Northport already made a first move but Bolick's side is still silent and has no response on that deal. If NorthPorth was a legit farm team on SMB, why is a contract extension still offered to Bollick?

Just a drama? Just for show? Just for entertainment? I doubt.

NorthPort in fairness likes to keep Bolick and won't just follow what others think of them as a farm team.
