801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After FTX collapse, some call for a return to decentralized roots on: October 02, 2023, 05:09:15 PM
...

There's no reason to leave all of your crypto in an exchange, other than the amount you're willing to trade at the moment. It has always been advised to leave small amounts in an exchange due to hacks and/or other undesired events. It's just that people don't listen, because they want "the easy route". Convenience goes on top of everything else, right? We should expect further "scandals" from CEXs due to the way they're designed.

The question is: Will people continue to trust CEXs with their money? I'd say, yes. At least, we'll have decentralized exchanges (DEXs) at our side. Who knows if someday DEXs get the same level of performance and cost-efficiency as their centralized counterparts? Just my two sats Smiley

If I decide to use some exchange I trust it enough to leave some funds hanging there. Some funds, for some time... never "all in" and never "all the time". If I don't trust it, I will not use it, simple as that. And yes, we will continue to trust CEXs with our money, numbers are clear about that, simply CEX has a lot to offer. Because of that I am ready to close my eyes on security and risk some amount just to take advantage of some stuff. In my case, it's mostly staking.

But I never risked some big amounts on that, for me it's like gambling, I will never risk more than I can afford to lose. But some people are ready to risk literally "all-ins", and that is not smart/wise! In years we saw many exchanges/casinos/cryptoservices falling down just like that, so that old one worked and will work all the time "Never keep all of your eggs in one basket"!
802  Economy / Gambling / Re: Restricted on casino bonuses on: October 02, 2023, 07:42:55 AM
I don't know what casino is that but for me is a stupid one.The casino should know pretty well that even if you win 20 deposits straight away in the long run they will make profit out of anyone as no one can keep winning consistently unless he is playing sport betting but sport betting has no deposit bonus in most casinos and these bonuses are geared most of the time toward slots.

You can never defeat a casino,it was a temporary battle that you won and congratulations for that but that casino is stupid as they considered that they lost the war  Grin.

I guess some casinos are not patient, it's easier for them to limit the winning players than to wait for those players to start losing. I also think this is strange, maybe someone follows the players who win and watches how they play, they think that they won't start losing at some point, or there is little chance of that, maybe some algorithm is in question, who knows.

I join in congratulations, it's not easy to make a nice streak of winnings in gambling. I hope the OP will find another casino that won't cause such problems.
803  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: October 02, 2023, 05:37:37 AM
This is a common marketing strategy and I’m not suprised. Reason they may have done it so is because certain people are skeptical about winning and may feel there’s no need to give their KYC on a platform they just signed up on. And then when they win, then they can see the necessity of providing their KYC. For someone like me, I don’t like KYC so I would always ensure that whichever platform it is fully allows withdrawals without KYC (by reading the. T&C).

But we cannot generalize, some behaviors are suspicious and can set off an alarm... Some casinos have "wagering requirements" for every deposit, and I know it can stop money laundering, but people who make a lot of deposits/withdrawals and don't wager a lot can and will be asked for KYC at some point for sure.

I also don't like KYC, but we said it many times, when it comes to some bigger amounts we need to be ready to complete the KYC procedure... People who are not ready for that should avoid depositing and playing.

804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to identify shitcoins? on: October 01, 2023, 08:21:51 PM
most of the new coin are shitcoin, therefore to avoid shitcoin, then I suggest you not to invest in new coin and only invest in popular coin (safer), therefore I suggest you only invest in Bitcoin, because Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency, so Bitcoin will not become shitcoin and Bitcoin price will continue to increase, therefore by investing in Bitcoin, you will get a big profits in the future.

Well, some maxis would say that Bitcoin is the only coin, all others are shitcoins. I am not so strict, I think there are good projects around, with great potential. I would never say that Litecoin and BNB are shitcoins (and some others), they are here to stay, simply many people are using them, and I believe they will be even more popular in the future. So I guess we can say that shitcoins are coins that nobody uses, except scammers who manipulate their prices and lure other people with big promises about fast & huge profit.
805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino is a Games of Chance and Entertainment on: October 01, 2023, 03:51:37 PM
I believe that rich people fit in better with this category than people who aren't rich... Since gambling platforms favour the rich even more...

Well, it's all about the bankroll and your bet size... Doesn't matter how much money you have, if you bet with most of your bankroll, the chances of losing everything are pretty high. But you are right that casinos favor the rich people, the ones who wager more... but every service is doing that, people who spend more money will always have more advantages and be eligible for more bonuses and promotions. So we can't blame casinos for this one, simply it's how this world works.
806  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake Balance Glitch on: October 01, 2023, 02:47:41 PM
I am not sure about your "balance glitch", but I saw how this guy is playing & rocking Plinko:

https://twitter.com/Stake/status/1708353044721872968

$3k bets and one ball landed on x1000... 3 million dollars just like that! He told us!

Maybe this is a bit "off-topic", but if this guy is winning millions on Plinko, I doubt you can have problems with $1k.
807  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game-🔴🔴🔴BET RED IN CRASH!🔴🔴🔴 Find More Unique Games! on: October 01, 2023, 12:50:23 PM
Well, there is never a time it's even recommended or advised that gamblers should leave funds in their gambling accounts on the casino, no matter how good and reputable the casino is,  it is important to always know that anything can happen which can lead to unexpected loss of funds..
It's same with centralized exchanges. Don't leave your money there too long. Don't leave a money which is bigger than what you afford to lose on a centralized exchange account. You can lose it anytime by hacks, account termination, KYC mandatory policy, scam exit. I am sorry but there are many reasons to not store big money in online accounts that don't give you private keys.

Reminder: do not keep your money in online accounts
Cryptocurrency security checklist

I would like to point out "Don't store a lot of money in an online account", no matter what service it is. But each of us (me for sure) has some amount we are comfortable leaving in the casino or exchange, for all sorts of reasons... staking or simply waiting for some free time and another gambling/trading session.

I guess we have all seen casinos and exchanges fail, but somehow I was lucky to avoid almost all of them... before they go down there are always some clues.
808  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino repeated live payout results on: September 30, 2023, 09:02:10 PM
This is how the betting history should look like, it's available in all crypto casinos ... only thing is that this image is not complete, the result after each spin is not visible. I have checked my spin history many times, mostly for some promotion or just to brag about my positive and sometimes negative results. So I don't see anything strange in this picture, it's usually how it should look when someone spins the slots.
809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risk management and responsible gaming on: September 30, 2023, 07:17:46 PM
Governments and several organisations work to encourage responsible gaming. This involves establishing betting restrictions, offering support to those who think they have a gambling problem, and participating in self-exclusion programmes.

Risk management and responsible gambling start and end with us alone, if we don't protect ourselves, no one else will be able to do it for us... it's always easy to bypass any restrictions, whoever wants to gamble will always find a way to do it. I think that the government needs to regulate casinos and make sure that casinos offer fair games, without cheating. The government should take care of how casinos work, where they are allowed to work, how they are advertised, and so on, not about us gamblers and how we gamble with our money.

810  Economy / Gambling / Re: Plinko Simulation – BitcoinPlinko.com (Medium/Low Volatility) on: September 30, 2023, 02:15:33 PM
I like Plinko, it's a good game for wagering a lot in a short period of time, and with a bit of luck with some little profit. But as with any other lucky-based game, it can be really hard to survive some long-losing streaks, so I can't agree that it's easier to double your amount with Plinko.

And I don't like simulators, so why would we play Plinko for free? Where is the excitement?
811  Economy / Economics / Re: If They Can Pay off their Debts, Why Don't They? on: September 30, 2023, 06:34:49 AM
Quote
Eight men own the same amount of wealth as world's poorest 3.6 billion people. The world's eight richest individuals have as much wealth as the 3.6 billion people who make up the poorest half of the world, according to the latest Oxfam report. The extreme levels of inequality we see today are not normal.
- EIGHT MEN OWN THE SAME AMOUNT OF WEALTH AS WORLD’S POOREST 3.6 BILLION PEOPLE

Well, there's a reason for that saying "Debt is modern slavery". While we are in debt we can't be free... the lender has the power in his hands and we work for him. That's why this system is so wrong, and that's why we need some big changes if we wish to see the world as a better place for all people, not just rich ones.
812  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ BTCGOSU ⭐ THE ULTIMATE BITCOIN CASINO GUIDE ⭐ CRYPTO AFFILIATE OF THE YEAR 🏆 on: September 29, 2023, 08:50:54 PM

I wish it was a GOSU win! Cheesy

Honestly, I have a pretty good feeling about Fairspin, so let me know if you decide to check them out. Smiley Unfortunately, they wouldn`t accept my GEO nowadays.

I have already registered, and I can say that the site looks great. I saw in the review that "KYC is Yes", but when you have a good feeling I will follow. Registration is not complicated, just my date of birth and phone number... I guess that's OK.

Upon registration, I got some TFS:

I like the wheel that gives TFS... generally, I love casinos with their own token. I see a lot of interesting things, when I find some time I will make a deposit and check their games and everything else. Maybe I will get into the series of "consecutive wins" as well! Smiley
813  Economy / Gambling / Re: - UGA - a Gamblers Union on: September 29, 2023, 06:24:42 PM
I'm sorry to hear of your difficulties here. The saying "the house always wins" would apply here I would think. At the end of the day they gotta make money.

Well, at the end of the day we gamble, and when we gamble we face some level of risk, depending on the game of choice and our playing style that risk can be low or very high. Of course, the house has an advantage, it's something we should know before we enter the casino and start playing. So I don't like when people start complaining and crying after they lose in the casino, it's on us to try to beat the house, but we should know that chances are pretty much against us.
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After FTX collapse, some call for a return to decentralized roots on: September 29, 2023, 03:21:08 PM
...
Anyway, I don't fully understand such a situation.. Like when I need an exchange, I put the exact sum to the exchange, do the operation and withdraw it back to my wallet or wherever I need it. Why should I leave something on the exchange?

Or you can use some coin swap service for quick swaps... I have the amount on the exchange that I use for trading, it's not big, and I don't wish to pay withdrawal fees after every trade I make. I am an amateur trader, and I don't trade with some big amounts so I don't feel some big need constant moving of my trading capital. What you are saying is fine and advisable for people who trade with big capital.

815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card gambling fuels gambling addiction on: September 29, 2023, 08:29:50 AM
...
Nothing is more idiot than have a debt for gambling, if you take a loan to gamble, man you are in big problems.

This is in total contrast to "don't gamble with money you can't afford to lose". And gambling with money we actually don't have (borrowed money) is a recipe for a disaster. Nothing good can come from that, and I guess it ruins the fun... people who gamble with borrowed money are under big stress for sure, not being able to relax and enjoy the game and thinking about what will happen in a case of loss. Probably that loss comes in most cases, it's gambling, people lose most of the time, especially if we talk about lucky-based games and slots.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling on: September 28, 2023, 05:06:15 PM
For me, the best practice is to have a separate account for games, an email and phone number that I use only for this activity. It’s easier to separate the industry and everyday life, and thus the chance of my account being hacked is much less since it doesn’t appear almost anywhere.I know several people who do the same.

Well, you are very close (if not on the spot) about this. We can't be safe if put "all eggs in one basket", we can't trust one service with all we have. I gamble for years, and I trusted many services with my funds, but never with all I had. That's the difference. So people should never go all in just like that before they test the service. So the best practice to stay safe is to deposit 10% of your amount (more or less), and if that goes right you can deposit more, if not just stay away from that.

If you don't keep yourself safe, nobody else will do it for you...
817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: September 28, 2023, 10:18:06 AM
While watching TV with my kid, I've watched various advertisements of gambling nature (let's say for example, Rummy123, RummyCircle, A23 Rummy, etc.)
These are all specifically Indian ads, but I'm sure you may have seen various gambling advertisements, some banners at boundaries when cricket is ongoing, even in any other sport. How would a kid ignore those things, they might just come and ask you about what is it. Till when can we lie to them? Don't you think that the frequency of such ads must be less in order to let the kids not get trapped into gambling and don't do it at such a small age?

In Serbia, gambling ads are everywhere... literally everywhere. On TV, radio, and around the town. and even though at the end of the ad, or under the ad, they say or write "This does not apply to minors" it is already too late... they saw/heard it. That is stupid, even thou I am a gambler I think that kids nowadays are bombarded with ads on every step they make. I think there should be some special places for advertising and special hours for gambling advertising... having them everywhere all the time is crazy, and this will create more problems for those kids in the future.

But it's on the government to regulate it... but they don't care as long as they are getting paid I guess.
818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes just flex it ( luck is all you need) on: September 28, 2023, 09:03:47 AM
...
So sometimes don't think just flex it and let luck do it part friends.

Well, it's what gambling is... it's on us to make a move, and we will see how lucky we are. I like the term "just flex it", it's usually what I do when I chase some higher multies on crash/limbo/dice, especially when I decide to buy some bonus rounds on some slots. It's not like we can do anything else than make a bet and hope for the best outcome... sometimes we get lucky and hit something nice, but most of the time we are at a loss, totally or partially.

It's gambling... without some luck, we can't hit anything big!

You get happy when you receive a free Golden Ticket.
You become more happier when you receive the free Golden Ticket from the free WoF spin from email.
That's how I got this free GT from the mail. Lucky day. That's the importance of spinning the WoF spin from the email. Never miss it.
...

Nice one... just keep collecting them! This time I didn't have a lot of luck with daily WoF spins, and I got only one from my "almost 3k WoF spins". The "winning one"! Smiley

That one Golden Ticket has a chance to bring Lambo! Smiley
~
That's great. Now, win that Lambo, mate. It's around 1.5 million Golden tickets at the moment. Whether you have 1 ticket or 1.5 thousand, the probability of winning is very low and I think we can call it "the same". You have to get very lucky to win with 1.5 thousand tickets, 0.1% probability, and you have to get very lucky to win with just one ticket too. So, like I said, "the same". Smiley Just win it, and make all of us happy for you here. I sincerely wish you that.

Well, I have:

Just one from WoF spins and the rest is from wagering. In the end, I know my chances, and I am just glad that I am in, in 13 days we will find out who "WILL DRIVE HOME A LAMBORGHINI". It would be nice to see one of us "old timers" from the forum taking that "Lambo home"! Smiley
820  Economy / Economics / Re: X (formerly Twitter) may be telling people like me to exit the platform on: September 27, 2023, 05:53:11 AM
Fake accounts and bots are their problem (not ours) but it's crazy on they are now requiring us to pay to fix those mess. The people behind those abuses are also a shit. They are a cancer to the community. They don't do anything good. I hope they all die horribly and get different kinds of karma if in case they won't get caught one day.

Well, Elon wrote that he doesn't see any other way to deal with all those bots. He even described the situation that it wouldn't be profitable for someone who has a lot of bots to pay for all of them. Bots are a really serious problem, and here I have to agree with Elon, I don't believe there is any other way to fight them, which would be similar/or more effective.

We need to wait for these changes... when they come and when I check what's there all about I will think about paying and staying or I will simply move to some other platform. But like some other people here, I am mostly active on Twitter, I didn't open any other platform for months/years.
