801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you keep all your bounty coins or you convert some to ETH and BTC? on: July 26, 2018, 11:55:44 AM
i don't see any reason why someone holds a bounty coin that they receive. specially in its initial release phase because majority of these tokens have no future and will die sooner or later which means there is only a downtrend ahead of you who holds them but also even if these tokens were to rise their initial step is to get dumped first before rising back up.
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it suitable to buy Bitcoin in 2018 with a long haul perspective of 2-4 year? on: July 26, 2018, 11:21:38 AM
as a matter of fact bitcoin is the only thing that you can find around here that is worth holding on to for long term. everything else (meaning altcoins and tokens) are only good for a short term investment which can be from 1 hour to a couple of days.

but remember that you should always follow two golden rules: invest what you can afford to lose and don't listen to what others tell you to buy or not to buy, instead make up your own decisions.
803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will prevail, while other cryptocurrencies grow. on: July 26, 2018, 11:10:56 AM
just because bitcoin is strong and will "prevail" it doesn't mean that altcoins will do the same too.
unlike what people think, bitcoin and altcoins are not connected at all. they are completely different from each other and sometimes the prices are affected only because of arbitrage opportunities but the overall movement is completely separate.
if altcoins are good they will prevail but if they are bad and only an illusion because of their pumps then they will perish.
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you expect from the CRYPTO market in August? on: July 26, 2018, 10:56:52 AM
bitcoin will rise at least until the first half of the August before the SEC decision comes out about ETF and then we will see a small correction in price which will also be an excellent time to pick up some bitcoins at a small discount before the rise continues.

the crypto market aka altcoins will not change. and if bitcoin continues rising big time we will continue seeing altcoins get dumped harder.
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: sell bitcoin to buy fiat or altcoin? on: July 25, 2018, 07:28:44 AM
first of all you don't sell bitcoin to buy altcoins you exchange bitcoin for altcoins and everyone does it because they want to increase the amount of bitcoin they own and that takes us to the second point. which is about the fact that bitcoin's long term potential does not exist in anything else and everyone knows this which is why they are all increasing the amount of bitcoin they have with any methods they know:
- buying with fiat
- selling goods for bitcoin
- working signature campaigns, other micro jobs,... to earn bitcoin
- participate in altcoin pump and dumps to make profit on their bitcoin
- invest in mining
- invest in businesses like gambling sites to make profit.
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are the altcoins should we buy today under this market conditions? on: July 25, 2018, 07:23:46 AM
i would say nothing because the altcoin market in general is not in good conditions they are still not completely dumped so they continue going down and the whales are elsewhere making profit either in bitcoin or in some unknown altcoins that they are  currently pumping and we don't find out about until it is too late.

and when things are like this it is best that you stay out of the altcoin market until things become clearer.

807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bull Market has come? on: July 25, 2018, 07:08:48 AM
i don't know where you are seeing "green" and rise in altcoins! what i see is big all around dumps for each altcoin. for example ETH that people keep mentioning in this topic has been getting dumped hard for the past 2 weeks that bitcoin has been rising. it started at above 0.0711BTC and now it is at 0.057BTC. it is not doing well in USD terms wither. it used to be nearly $600 and now it is worth $470
808  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading btc pairs / USDT ? on: July 25, 2018, 06:39:40 AM
What pairs are you trading to make more BTC?
altcoins!
they get pumped and can give you a lot of profit in a short time only if you know how to take advantage of a pump. and also not get dumped on.

Quote
Is USDT/BTC the best option to move in and out of bitcoin since USDT is reasonably stable?
no it is not.
as long as you can trade real-fiat/BTC then there is no reason to use USDT. you use tether when you don't have access to real fiat markets like USD, EUR, JPY,...

Quote
I want to take advantage of bitcoins volatility, but buying alts and waiting for them to outperform bitcoin is a long road.
altcoins will never outperform bitcoin. what they do is that they have huge pumps that are mistaken with "outperforming" and these pumps last a very short time because they are fake and will get dumped. so if you can only stick around during their pumps you can increase your bitcoin by a lot. but it is hard.
809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strong hands VS Weak hands, who will win? on: July 25, 2018, 06:34:52 AM
strong hand and weak hands are only short term concept that do not apply to long term and the overall rise of bitcoin. the weak hands win (if you can call it a win) during drops when they are panic selling and strong hands are winning because they sell before the weak hands and buy back before them at the bottom too.
and like always Hodlers are always winners in bitcoin Wink
810  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin rise altcions fall! on: July 25, 2018, 06:22:56 AM
True, unlike previous times, bitcoin price increases, altcoin will rise in price, this one is completely different! More consideration!

this is the problem with majority of the newcomers, you guys fail to zoom out and zoom in when required. for example you should go back and look at the whole history and check the times exactly as they are not just look at the overall chart and see a rise happened last year in bitcoin and a rise happened last year in altcoins! that doesn't show you anything.
look when the bitcoin rises happened and see what was happening to altcoins during that time.

also don't confuse the USD value of altcoins with their price during bitcoin rises.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could Ethereum be dumped to $300? on: July 23, 2018, 11:43:27 AM
that would be our next stop on the way down to $100.

i have seen many experts warn about the ETH dump that will continue happening for a long time but people refuse to accept it. when price was $1000 they were saying it  will bounce back and reach $2000,.... but it went down and they have been  promising newbies the same bounce back until today every $100 that ETH loses and now we are $450 and still falling.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what are the best coins for 1500$ on: July 23, 2018, 11:37:46 AM
it depends on you and how much experience you have in cryptocurrency market.

if you have 0 then nothing you should stay away from every single cryptocurrency.
if you have a little information then bitcoin is the only choice that is wise to buy specially at this point. and if you are looking for a long term investment then bitcoin is the wise choice too.
if you have a lot of experience and want to day trade then altcoins are good choices.  the coin you mentioned seems to be a random one though!
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what happens to the nano? on: July 23, 2018, 11:23:58 AM
i find NANO and basically other coins that are based on DAG technology with good potential in the future. they are all good projects or at least that is what it seems like to me. i think in the future we can see these types of coins grow a lot more.

as for its price, unfortunately that is a very different story because like other altcoins NANO is also subjected to pump and dumps and its price is determined that way not based on its technology, usefulness,...
814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: assurance of analysis of Bitcoin experts on: July 23, 2018, 11:18:44 AM
If you spend enough time in this market you will witness numerous price predictions become just another prediction rather than a reality.

People predict the market based on HOPE just for their publicity.

I mean look at John Mcafee, he was charging 100K $ for a single tweet. After predicting Bitcoin to 1 Mil $ by 2020, I really hope it will become a reality, but who knows the poor bastard might eat his junk on national tv.  Grin

that is why you should not read any random person's prediction online no matter how much they are being advertised. they are newbies who pretend to be experts for example McAfee was just advertising himself by making an outrageous bitcoin prediction not because of the price but because of the short time he expected it to happen in. and he was doing it so that he could advertise ICOs and get paid $100k
815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of crypto currency will be bright in India on: July 23, 2018, 11:13:21 AM
they just couldn't control the flow of money from INR to BTC, they certainly tried preventing their people from dumping their fiat for bitcoin multiple times with different scenarios but Indian people are exiting whether their government likes it or not.
so they changed their strategy now until they come up with a better solution!
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Reasons why one should invest in bitcoin now? on: July 22, 2018, 08:11:48 AM
all these reasons are good and will help the rise but none of them matter to me to be honest. the only important thing that i look at is the fact that we have already reached the bottom of the drop or at least a very close number to it. the lowest it got was about 72% drop from ATH and despite a lot of selling pressure it never went any lower. when something like this happens, there is nothing else left to do but rise.
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH: is destined to be $2500 by October to December 2018! on: July 22, 2018, 08:01:28 AM
the only that a coin with no real usage like ethereum to go up nearly 500% in 5 months is to get pumped hard. this is easily possible in altcoins but the problem with coins like ethereum is that they got too big and being big means you can no longer pump them this big.

for example you can easily pump a small coin with $0.0001 up to 1000% in a very short time but you can never pump a coin that is already pumped and is big.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The recent price is rising, can I continue to buy cryptocurrency, why? on: July 22, 2018, 07:46:35 AM
stop buying shitcoins and stop bag holding them and you will stop losing money!

instead try to learn how the altcoins are getting pumped and dumped and then try to figure out the cycles of each altcoin then when you realize that you can easily jump on board during the pumps and enjoy the profit during the rises and then stay away from them during the dumps with your profits intact.
819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the lighting network eliminate most of the cryptocurrencies? on: July 22, 2018, 07:22:20 AM
The Lightning Network is a second layer solution that are built on top of Bitcoin code and some other coins like LiteCoin use very similar code, so coins like this can easily implement the Lightning Network too. So this is not specifically meant to only run on Bitcoin <BTC>.

Some of our competitors like BCash have already mentioned that they are open to the idea to implement the Lightning Network too, if it is successful and they cannot compete with their Block size upgrade scaling strategy.  Roll Eyes <They need SegWit first  Grin>

it will always come down to usability.
in reality everything that bitcoin has been doing, altcoins have been copying. LN will not be an exception to that either. and so far altcoins have never been used by being a copycat of bitcoin. but bitcoin is used. and LN will increase that usability while altcoins copy it for getting hyped up.

regarding BCash they can implement LN (there are many other second layer payment channels like LN proposed in the past too) without SegWit but they have to code around the malleability problem and eventually fail because it is nearly impossible to do so.
my guess is that if they want to implement LN they will first do a soft fork and activate SegWit but they will never call it SegWit, instead they will run a campaign telling everyone it is not SegWit but a solution that their very wise decentralized developers created which is better Cheesy
then add LN but never call it LN, they call it some new name and again say their wise devs created this themselves and is better Cheesy
820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung Stores in Three Baltic States Accepting Cryptocurrencies on: July 22, 2018, 07:14:41 AM
Awesome!!! This is Grate News, Samsung Is Big Company This News Give Big Help for Cryptocurrency World!

the company (Samsung) is not accepting cryptocurrncy payments. it is the third party stores that are accepting bitcoin, etc as payment. it is like saying Samsung is now accepting Euro as payment because a shop in a European country has opened!

not to mention Baltic states population is too small (6 million according to google) it is not going to change anything at all.
