801  Economy / Auctions / Re: Senior Account---Simple Quick Auction on: September 30, 2016, 03:28:54 AM
You don't need to give all these clarification while selling an account. sorry to say your auction looks very bad.. looks like an article about something..

BTW are you selling the same account you are using to post with? not a good Idea dude..

Not really worried about whether it sells or not, just put it up there sometimes.  But, I am glad you responded.  Why don't people ever sell the account from the account?  What is the purpose of using a separate account?  Seems easier this way, if you want the info, it is right there, rather than PMing and then going back and forth twice before even seeing the account.  Just a question.

So how does it work? Escrow? How does the account transfer work? I have seen a lot of these and since they are pretty public I assume that most people back up someone on a bad account transfer, but is there a specific way that these things go down?
802  Other / Archival / Re: EGO [THE ANON MOVEMENT CORPORATION] <<<<< ICO CLOSED >>>>>> on: September 30, 2016, 03:24:30 AM
Got me Several hundred thousand to start @ 21 sat - lets see where this goes

even if a ICO only give 30% profit, with 0.10 BTC you will have 0.03BTC profit, if you can effort more then 1 BTC becomes 0.30 BTC... 3 times doing this.. means that  ICO can already be worthless, and if you really play it correct, then you are always out on time

So its best to invest early in this ICO
803  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1BTC = $600USD, now a good time to buy? on: September 28, 2016, 06:42:00 PM
Price is moving up and down everyday creating good profit opputunity if you want to do day trading. Grab few bitcoin and sell them after sometime for small profit per bitcoin and if you can have like 10 bitcoin and more you will be earning good amout daily on every price swing.

If you bought in at $600 and saw $550 and had purchased an entire Bitcoin, that would be a $50 loss.  But, the price goes right back up the next day or week and even higher. That $600, down to $550 will then be back to $650 a few days later and that is a $50 profit.

If someone has the patience, time and does not scare easily or listen to any sayers, then it is pretty nice out there. Just trust and think and predict the future price and act accordingly.
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH is sick again on: September 25, 2016, 05:33:07 PM
After hacked the ETH must be hard fork it was made ETH sick and today ETH's node has be attacked https://blog.ethereum.org/2016/09/18/security-alert-geth-nodes-crash-due-memory-bug/
Be ready ETH's price for going down,  how do you think? Is it will kill ETH slowly, thank you for the opinions.

The software warned about short passphrases if you used one, but the first thing that hit us was to simply try common phrase after common phrase and see.  We played for about five minutes to no avail, lol.

806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chicago Students Get Free BTC For Educational Purposes on: September 25, 2016, 01:35:03 PM
The Blockchain Education Network (BEN) has announced a Bitcoin airdrop to four Chicago Universities today. This year BEN’s “Back-to-School Blockchain Initiative” has spread to more cities than ever before to show students the power of cryptocurrency.

https://news.bitcoin.com/chicago-students-free-btc-educational/

Great idea, but for what they will use the bitcoins they get for free?

I`ve never heard of this Blockchain education network before.

Interesting initiative.

Awesome.  The more people know about Bitcoin, plus the currency appreciates. I hope this measure expand to other universities.

808  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-22] Brothers Face Jail Time for Stealing Power to Mine Bitcoins on: September 24, 2016, 06:31:14 PM
Two brothers in the Netherlands face months in prison after allegedly siphoning power to fuel a small bitcoin mining operation, Dutch authorities say.

The case dates back to 2014, when the brothers, whose names were not disclosed, are said to have been caught stealing electricity from a local utility provider in order to power bitcoin mining devices at a location in Rotterdam. Prosecutors said this week that, in total, the brothers mined roughly €200k ($223,000) worth of bitcoin prior to being caught.

According to the Openbaar Ministerie, the public prosecutorial service in the Netherlands, the brothers have both been charged with money laundering. One brother, who owned the property in which the devices were kept, has also been charged with stealing power to grow marijuana plants at the same location.

Mining Bitcoins in itself is not laundering money, unless that country has a different sets of rules like some. We should first also consider the rules of the specific country.

810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Geth bug cuts in half Ethereum's hashrate on: September 22, 2016, 03:17:14 PM
Looks like Ethereum have the bug again,  network hashrate just droped from ~5000GH/s down to 2775.7 GH/s
http://fork.ethstats.net/

They can't go straight into assets without first learning BTC and the basics.  But, they can start Googling and end up with ETH and Geth.  First blush it looks a lot easier and like something they can handle, but before too long they have created an asset that only exists on their computer or is completely wrong, maybe a hanging TX
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most obsessed person in cryptotown... on: September 22, 2016, 03:10:50 PM
I guess it no longer applies since they locked the thread but you could have put the YoBit Sig Campaign guys up there for obsessing over "The Button"!  Every weekend, holiday, every time the moon moved, "The button is not working!" Lol, I am just poking fun for fun

it was some real panic in that thread some days and the old standbys would slowly cave in the longer it would take.  Three days and even morantis would be like, "Hmm, maybe something is wrong",  Grin. And then the endless line of people announcing its return.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] Inchain - insurance for the crypto economy on: September 22, 2016, 03:05:36 PM
If the ETH goes from 0.01 to 0.005 and your asset remains at 100 ETH, then your asset is worth half as much.  Does the asset value versus ETH change to maintain overall value?
813  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] COINSBANK.COM launches Universal Crypto Solution at Money2020 Europe on: September 22, 2016, 03:00:27 PM
hello my address verification got denied
i dont have bank account, and iam living with my parents in a rented house, but i have a government residential id that says where i live, but in arabic would that work ?
i hope you can help me i really dont have other way to verify my address
i live in iraq so no one type his address on any paper cuz we rarely use it

If you check the following list , you will see that IRAQ (I'm from Algeria and I have the same thing) are restricted from this : https://coinsbank.com/cards-details which means you won't be able to create a virtual card or a card with your name. As far as I know , the only thing you could order is No-name limited card

thx for the reply habibi, can you tell me whats the ATM withdrawal limit ? and does it have lifetime limit ( like i can only withdraw total of 500$ and thats it i wont be able to use it in ATM anymore) thx for help again

NXT based sides may be in more danger than BTC since NXT is less strong, but BTC is getting forked and changed often and we count on those to be legit and not jack the system up.
814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing my $2,000,000 Into bitcoin (advice me) on: September 22, 2016, 02:58:22 PM
I am not an expert in mining but I seriously think that bitcoin mining is a business now and we should leave it for them who consider it so. Casual mining days are over.
Now, I think there is good scope for bitcoin business because there is a slow awareness of bitcoin in various corners of the world so any business which can facilitate bitcoin with our day to day transaction has a tremendous scope and early adoption is cherry on the top. I would advise you to think on various aspects of investment in bitcoin and not just mining.

Of course, you will be hard pressed to find too many coins that you can get that much invested in without screwing the market. It will take some thought, but mining is not the way to go I think.

I do exactly the same as you. I do some freelancers to receive Bitcoin and paid my hosts with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency.
816  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I've got $20k to invest. Please recommend! on: September 22, 2016, 02:55:45 PM
You can invest on altcoins, or gambling but it is very risky. We should be more cautious on investment, there are so many scams.

Gambling is a very bad investment unless you mean investing into the casino bankrolls themselves.
Cause bankrolls can give you a nice return cause the house always make profit but blank gambling is very risky its 51/49 that you lose it all.

I would like to see how much and how far a “staking account”, like at just-dice would net with a large chunk of at least $1000.  I played with it at the $100 level and after a week had about $2, which is not worth the trouble.
817  Economy / Auctions / Re: Early 2010s Registered Hero Member for Auction on: September 22, 2016, 02:54:20 PM
Can you provide a signed message?
Hacked accounts from old inactive accounts are recently sprouting so it is important to prove ownership of the account.
Since it's a hero and an old account I'm sure it has staked an address before.

Yep, can do it with an address from two years ago.

I always see users asking for proof of an account through a signed message.  What is it that they are exactly looking for?  I assume a TX from the BTC address posted earliest on the account, obviously signed.  Or is it a PGP, because honestly those blow my mind.

And what if the account holder is like me and that first posted BTC address is so old and gone that a signed message is impossible?
818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing my $2,000,000 Into bitcoin (advice me) on: September 20, 2016, 06:56:55 PM
A friend of my i introduced BTCbitcoin to in 2014 now want to invest $2,000,000 into bitcoin mining and his is asking me is bitcoin mining is still profitable?

I have drafted out my own list but i want advice from you all

This are some question he still asked me..

How much can he make from mining?
and what are the list of equipment we need to buy with the $2,000,000 for us to start mining?

What will be the monthly revenue?
What will be the yearly revenue?

Cost of maintenance?

TOTAL COST OF ELECTRICITY MONTHLY FOR ANY COMPANY OR INDUSTRY IN MY COUNTRY IS $4000
(electricity is cheap here)

Land (Space) have been bought by him

I don’t know about the mining part.  You could easily invest $2,000,000 in hardware, run off solar power and stay nice and cool, even make a dollar or two and then find the equipment to become outdated six months later.
It not cost so much $200.000! Smiley Not more than $62.000 example ETH/XMR optimized hardware (Including solar system + cooling)

In fact, pushing that much power to the network might be part of the reason the difficulty rises and makes that equipment useless.

820  Economy / Economics / Re: Selling Bitcoins more than double of the price? :O on: September 20, 2016, 03:58:37 PM
Lets take an  example, you deposit Bitcoins, contact a seller and they send money to your Serve account or other kinds of accounts.  The site itself does the escrow.  Most exchanges you will lose Bitcoins doing the exchange.  For $10 in Bitcoins, you might get $8 in Walmart gift cards.  These sellers were all new, all using Square Pay as payments and promising something like 350%.
