801  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-02-18] Hollywood hospital pays $17K bitcoin ransom to cyberattackers on: February 18, 2016, 07:03:11 AM
I did not think they would pay it.  Instead of them focussing on the fact it was Bitcoin why not just say 17K in ransom, leaving off the Bitcoin.
802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IBM and Microsoft unroll The Hyperledger. on: February 17, 2016, 10:57:53 PM
Does not matter what it is, it is centralized and that is the key word.  Anything centralized cannot compete with bitoin, IMO.
803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Terrorists use Western Union, not Bitcoin on: February 17, 2016, 06:34:59 PM
Terrorists use whatever they can.  Bitcoin is new, how have they been operating for decades?  Also, we should ban email too because of that Nigerian that sends me emails to transfer money for him, I think my grandma got the same email.  Ban email! Roll Eyes
804  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-02-17] Bitcoin performed better than Stocks, Commodities & Bond Yields on: February 17, 2016, 03:56:50 PM
Bitcoin performed better than Stocks, Commodities & Bond Yields.

The stock and bond markets have had an excellent run over the past 6 years since stocks bottomed out in 2009. However, the honeymoon may now be over. China’s decrease in GDP and various economic metrics caused a domino effect on many other economies worldwide.

Very nice.  Yes, the party is coming to a close.
805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: block halving date on: February 16, 2016, 05:19:58 PM
Slightly concerning the price won't rise as high as it should as a result of the halving due to all of this potential HF FUD.

I think you might be right.  For some reason I am starting to feel the rise before halving will be lackluster.  If Bitcoin avoids bad press it should be stable at least.
806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers demand $3m bitcoin ransom from hospital to unlock vital files on: February 16, 2016, 05:16:59 PM
Just a ridiculous psyop.  Not a good headline for Bitcoin at all.  If you wanted to smear it, this would be a good way.  The price seems not to be affected as it is over $400.
807  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: What was 1st bitcoin faucet? [2010-2011] on: February 16, 2016, 05:14:29 PM
To think that you could get 1-2BTC on faucets is mind blowing.  I wonder if some of the people still have faucet bitcoins or if they sold them. I would not have been able to hodl that long.
808  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin fan page on Instagram on: February 15, 2016, 05:40:04 PM
Nice job.  Any way to promote Bitcoin is good  Smiley
809  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-02-15] Russian hitman chooses bitcoins over killing on: February 15, 2016, 05:22:41 PM
totally interesting story.  see how great Bitcoin is...it even discourages killing haha.
810  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin halving how will it affect price? on: February 15, 2016, 05:05:37 PM
I expect a gradual rise prior to halving, then a sharper rise right before, then a fall and correction.  Who really knows though?
811  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10 BTC. Will I be a millionaire by 2030? on: February 15, 2016, 12:50:48 PM
If it becomes the globes main currency then yes.  The potential for 1mill a coin is there but it could be attacked by those that do not want to lose their power they have built on fiat.  Will be fun to watch.
812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many bitcoin address you have right now? why you have more than one? on: February 15, 2016, 12:47:44 PM
Several, some have only a little bit.  I like that some wallets give you a new address everytime for new transactions.  Just feels better to not have everything in one place.
813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: martin Shkreli loses 37,000 bitcoins (10 transactions = $15 million) yesterday. on: February 15, 2016, 12:45:54 PM
Wonder how that GoFundMe campaign will work out. LOL
814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bernie Sanders on bitcoin?? on: February 15, 2016, 01:13:36 AM
I was just thinking about this today...I say he will be positive for Bitcoin. If he truly is about going after the "establishment" then Bitcoin is the currency to make that happen.  I cannot see him being bad for Bitcoin.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin highest price... on: February 14, 2016, 11:07:52 PM
Litecoin price will see at least $15 this year. Mark my words.

I agree this is possible, especially if there is a lot of confidence in alt currencies in general.  Also, if Bitcoin goes up, LTC should follow on its own scale.
816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: And now they're saying a hard fork could entail legal repercussions. on: February 14, 2016, 10:56:37 PM
It is not possible.  Bitcoin is a decentralized situation and it is it not possible for a lawsuit.  Who do you sue?
817  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: February 14, 2016, 09:19:17 PM
Anyone still asking about the button should be kicked from the signature. They obviously post in threads without reading them.
Time to clean house of people that are abusing the forum.
That is true this is an old issue and always happen from time to time, happens to me three times already so I am not at all bothered by things anymore it will fix by itself, but if it still not working for a week then that will be time that we need to ask the support team about this issue..

Great test to see if people are spamming or really posting after reading through a thread.  The number of people claiming they have no idea what is going on do not read prior responses.
818  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin close to $600 before summer starts! Even much higher levels coming. on: February 14, 2016, 09:16:01 PM
I like this positive thinking towards the price.  Who knows, you may be right that we could reach 600 prior to summer.
819  Economy / Speculation / Re: Uh - oh Bitcoin going up. Is it Venezuela? on: February 14, 2016, 09:14:27 PM
Does anyone care about this other than Venezuelans? I can see why Greece was a big deal in the minds of many here but even then it didn't really have much effect on bitcoin. I don't see why this would.

yes, I think of Greece and think 'Nothing to See Here People, move along'.  Don't think it is Greece, not sure about this rise.
820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Valve is about to accept bitcoin as their payment system on: February 14, 2016, 02:57:14 PM
Good news that they are accepting it...what I would like to see is places accepting it and not turning into fiat, would rather have it flow to a btc wallet than a fiat bank.
