Max, get the company incorporated, get a bridging loan against the btc assets, hire some shit hot developers, and work on managing this project better. don't be a 'hero' by trying to do it all yourself. admitting to weaknesses is actually a strength. a CEO should be hiring the smartest people available. the CEO should not be the smartest person in the company. don't make that operational mistake.

what % of 'investors' want a refund?

Two things:

-Funny that this projects talked about IoT and then explded on 10tps. Not good.

-I'm still baffled that there is no team in place, at least an amplification of the dev team. It would be trivial to find good help on credit, since so much money will be available in a few weeks/months.

Why is this still a oneman show (on the tech side), it looks like a joke. Get more people/eyes/brains on this thing NOW.
terms of escrow make it a straight jacket. they should have incorporated first and then borrowed against btc assets to hire developers for the pre launch phase.

Thank you! Someone who is not an idiot. You exist!

So during next 30 days we will experience big series of moanings here that will result in nothing else but more pages in thread and driving price expectation down. Just because 90% of people here don't understand that ICOs (cryptocurrencies at all) are very high risk investments where everything may happen ;p

Good luck with controlling your emotions.

"The moon doesn't care about barking dogs."

Yep, we all bet, and bet bad. We lost. The thing is the ICO is still pretty cheap so we should still get 3-4X gains, but we're not getting 10-20X anymore that is for sure. The window for that has passed now that there has been 3 delays! No one will trust this system.

20x would have meant 140mio$ marketcap, to expect that amount from a simple crpyti-clone (which had a marketcap of 500k$) is simply childish. LISK may very well start in the range of 10-20mio$ which still would be very remarkable.

which would put Lisk high up the coin list cap chart. a good start.

the ICO system is a faith based system.

i know who the people behind Lisk are.

some ICOs are a complete joke, with the devs hiding their identities as if they are on the FBI Most Wanted list. i can't 'invest' in people who behave like that.

You don't need to hide your identity if you have a good lawyer from the start ... but ...wait ....

i like that Lisk has a lawyer.

quite naturally i looked up the elastic.pro whois and found one 'Lionel Key'. who is he?

It's probably just a pseudonym.

possibly. i just find the secrecy so tedious, and harmful to the project. why the need to hide?

if i don't know who's running the project i can't evaluate their potential to get things right. people take 'crypto' too far.

Isarmatrose, you’re a glitterbomb of glory!

I absolutely love the new website. Things are looking pretty spiffy around there, it seems to be faster, easier to navigate for users, and with wordpress easier to manage/update. I took a gander around the site, and I am more than impressed. I suggest we move to the new site and abandon the old one after the donation campaign is over. Meanwhile, I have removed all other content and added a link to the new website on the start page.

The FAQ needs some work.

This ico has red flags all over, i dont believe this delay excuse. Now that btc is starting to go up they delayed it so that they can dump at a higher price. Also shouldnt they have tested it before and then announce a date? I feel like this is going to be the most dissapointing ico of 2016.

whether you believe it or not there is nothing to do but wait and see.

there's a lot of invested interest in BTC. how would vcash XVC be able to replace it?

how is "scam" being defined, because every ICO is a scam until it is a success?

815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: EDON scam ICO on: April 22, 2016, 11:23:54 AM
although early bird bonuses are very tempting (designed to be exactly that) i never invest in an ICO at the beginning of the offer period. i wait for the coin's bitcointalk thread to begin to reveal the truth about the project. I'd rather have less of something than more of nothing. Edon was on my list (as is every ICO proposal)...and now it isn't.

Yesterday we visited the Bitcoin & Blockchain Meetup event Minsk # 1. Participants met to discuss topical issues cryptocurrency industry and promising projects, met with supporters and asked the experts questions. The conference featured such prominent representatives of criptocommunity as:
- Valery Litvin (Minsk), developer cyber.fund, Bitcoin / blockchain expert.
- Michael Chobanyan (Kiev), founder of the first bitcoin-ukraine agency Kuna, as well as the Bitcoin Foundation Ukraine (BFU).
- Alex Fork (Moscow), bitcoin evangelist, founder finteh cluster Future Fintech and author of the book "Bitcoin. More than money.".
- Vladimir Basko (Minsk), director general of the association "Infopark" and chairman of the association "Confederation of Digital Business".
We also were able to talk to these people about LISK and were pleasantly surprised that they knew about it. And even participated in ICO.  They will continue to observe the development of this project.

"Alex Fork"? That's funny.

Great, thank you! If I'm a delegate, the rewards can go really high. My main goal is to give back to the Lisk community.

The rewards will not go really high.  The rewards will be fixed at 150K Lisk in year one for your delegate no matter how many votes you get.  The more and more people who vote for you, the smaller and smaller their share of that 150K is going to be.  The more successful you are at getting supporters, the more unhappy your supporters will be.

Yo, that's Lisk, baby.

150k max? didn't you say only two or three weeks ago that the reward could be up to seven figures annually?
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: April 21, 2016, 03:46:01 PM
So how much money do users get from these delegates? If someone have 10,000 lisk how much is your share per month? If that is a good amount of $$ then very few people will sell.

Some people calculated that it will range from 10.000 to 250.000 a year so people will be scamming and scheming all over the place to get those spots.
Its a horrible Idea but none seems to care.

I care.  A lot.  I am trying my best to see that there are no sock puppets or scams in the mainnet by obtaining background information on testnet delegates.  I'm a snoopy, nosey guy that reads too many detective crime novels ( not to mention zerohedge.com )and so I have a natural suspicion about EVERYBODY.  Follow my efforts at the links below, and newer spreadsheets I will release for mainnet once Lisk is launched...

Or maybe you're talking about the apparent high amounts of real money involved in being a delegate.   Hey, I have always advocated that Lisk be a zero-inflation, volunteer delegate coin.  But if there's money on the table, then I am going after my fair share.  That's why I am a testnet delegate to prove I can do the job, and why I hope to be a Active Delegate on mainnet.  Please vote for me!

Max wanted to motivate people to set up nodes to solve a non-participation problem at Crypti.  Well, the reward motivation structure he set up has solved that Crypti problem.  We've got  got over 1300+ Standby Delegates  trying to get a top 101 Active Delegate spot - and that's just on TESTNET.   I really wonder just how many of those 1300+ realize they've got to download and setup specialized delegate software on a VPS server with their own http://aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd address - and how many have actually done so?

When Max set up Lisk, he decided 4M Lisk was fair compensation for the two main Lisk devs.  He also decided that 150K Lisk or 3.75% of the Dev reward was also fair compensation to an individual for their work to secure the Lisk blockchain for its first year.   Just because the absolute numbers are apparently going to get very large doesn't mean that things are not going according to plan or have become a horrible idea.  It means that the intended motivation just gets that much stronger for 101 people to do a VERY good job in securing a coin blockchain worth hundreds of millions of dollars - the PRIME JOB of an Active Delegate.

why don't you just PM the people and ask them straight up?

why would he do that?  It's not him that has to show that everyone else is motivated.  It's up to YOU if you want to become a delegate to become proactive.  It's not Mals job to seek you out and see if you are ready for the challenge.

If anyone wanted a delegate spot all they had to do was hang out in the chat room every day and I guarantee you would have had a 101 delegate spot because you have been promoting and gaining support the whole time.

If you are complaining now then you are in the wrong.  EVERYONE had a chance to do this and it's nobody elses fault but your own if you do not get selected as a delegate. The first 2 weeks after the ICO there were literally less than 50 nodes up so ANYONE had a chance if they were interested in lisk enough.

just my 2 sat.

"by obtaining background information" - so also ask, and if it doesn't match up with the "background information" it's an indication that something may be 'off'.

i try hard not to see myself as merely a Lisk bag holder. i worked on a node for two weeks using Phoenix1969's notes, Joel's Academy guide, Mal's 'cheat sheet', and i'm now preparing to try Phoenix's latest YouTube video. wish me luck ;-)

1 wave = 653 USD more realistic  Grin
When 1 BTC = 10k yeah then Wave will also be $653 / each Smiley

Maybe waves will be over 100$ if btc is 10 000, that seems pretty realistic. For early on I think we can expect 1-5 dollar range.
I sing the 1-5 $ range at the beginning Wink

not a chance in hell.
