801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think of Reading Coin? on: August 27, 2020, 05:09:00 PM
I cant see anything special to this project.
Just like what others said, it looks like another shitcoin.
So if anyone is planning to invest in this coin do a research and think carefully.
No, there's something special about mate although I was also curious about the concept of the project when I first read about it but after study it again I now understand the important of it.
It was created to encourage people to read especially the students cause 5% of people around the world spend their time in the library while 95% spent their time online.
802  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's happening with Bitcoin & altcoins? on: August 27, 2020, 12:08:25 AM
It doesn't look like a temporary pump but rather a push towards the last ATH at 20 thousand.
I think it too early to sure if it a temporary pump or the previous dump to be slightly market correction cause I read in an article about a whale that sold his 9000BTC if i remember correctly which i believe was what lead to the last dump. However, the trend pose by the market when it weekend will prove if the pump is temporary or not.

The bear market has to end at some point and all signs are showing that this run after the halving was a normal price action:
Thats because most weak hands are expecting the halving effect/ new ATH.

804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 26, 2020, 12:14:48 PM
Wow, this with Messi is getting serious. He's been doing stunts like these for a while now and Bartomeu already resigned but this time it looks a bit different - he seems to have had enough.
Messi have done reasonable thing for FCB even when cutting of players wages was introduced by the club and I also dont see anything bad in him leaving the club now.

There are some rumors (from Honigstein and Ornstein) that Guardiola and Messi don't want another stint together - I really wonder where will he go if he leaves Barcelona. Nobody's talking about Man Utd but considering the lack of clubs in position to pay him, I think they are among favorites if City's not interested.

On the other hand, Balague reports City interest: https://twitter.com/GuillemBalague/status/1298555043436793862.
Speaking of him (Messi) and Guardiola not to have another stint together is not genuine story. Although, Guardiola once make the statement and he never explain the reason behind his action but hes willing to welcome Messi now.
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Verge coin on: August 26, 2020, 09:36:28 AM
I hold around 190000 verge(xvg) coins. What do you think is its future potential. Can it reach $1 per coin?
it is not ideal to look for $1 price since this Currency has a large volume and since it matters about the value the price you are seeking might happen not in this time.
According to CMC, the total of XVG is 16,555,000,000 and current circulating supply is 16,347,556,543, so if the could hold the coin till next halving XVG could clinch the $1 price.
@OP, learn ceom the whales that bought BTC 2017  and sold it this year cause the coin is good for long term investment.

I haven't heard interesting news from them for a long time, you need news to grow so much, and the last thing I remember is that in 2019 XVG was accepted for payment on pornhub.
news is just extension mate but what Currency need to grow is the progress that only Team can do,promoting their coin and extending the usage there might be changes because news will surely follow.
@anurag54321 that because youre not aware of their partnership with almost all genuine crypto payment system with the incusion crypto to fiat currency and as @carlisle1 what they lack is good promotion, coin burning, partnership announcement etc.
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto passive income - a bubble? on: August 26, 2020, 08:53:00 AM
I see that more and more investors are interested in a passive income that comes from cryptocurrencies. But, I am a little bit afraid that all these concepts: staking, crypto lending, and all form of income that is generated from nothing will end up sooner or later.
Literally, nothing last forever but was used to encourage investors hodling while lending was to help other traders and start up projects. Despite the fact that those two have good features some certain knowledge are needed to select the right investment though cause some crypto stake reward dont worth it.

When you compare mining, you have to buy mining rigs at first, then you need to pay electricity, so you spent a lot of money to mine a Bitcoin and that makes it valuable. What about staking? What you sacrifice to receive new coins?
The only sacrifice in staking is coin selection which i have mention before.
807  Economy / Reputation / Re: The Piggy disappearance and the Notification bot issues, discussion thread. on: August 25, 2020, 07:48:36 PM
In all cases, I wouldn’t want people to search for any of my personal details online to try to contact me.

Whatever is happening/happened with him, let him take care of it. In private.
Absolutely cause if it something he want us to be aware he would talk about it just like how the previous member of this forum does before he deceased.
In the meantime, there's still another forum notification bot which I find useful.
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: August 25, 2020, 02:37:31 PM
I love the idea of this project but I battling with the flip process for 3 days before the admin accepted my flip and told me to wait for a response a couple of minutes ago. However, I will be happy if I could see anyone here that can explain to me the fundamental steps to mine Idena cause its procedure seems different and I didn't see any details about it mining on their site.
Regards.
You can find it here, the requirements to mine your status are at least NEWBIE, VERFIIELD or HUMAN, if you are just starting out you only need to use the invite code to become a candidate following the validation which is held every 14 days, if you have successfully followed the validation well, your status will become NEWBIE, you must make several folds for the requirements to follow the next validation, you can also mine on NEWBIE status

please read again here because by reading you will know more about https://idena.site/
Ok. I'm just starting out but waiting for the admin in charge of invitation code reply since my verification of human through flip creation is accepted and on my Idena wallet I next validation date to be 29th August is that the 14 days validation?
What's the different between DNA mention by bounty manager and the IDNA find on the Idena site/exchange site?

810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Oscar De La Hoya vs Amir Khan? on: August 25, 2020, 12:36:33 PM
After Mike Tyson come back announcement a lot of boxers that once announced to have hanged up their gloves decide to come back to the ring of fight, I heard about Holyfield a couple of weeks and now is Oscar De La Hoya.
This is a different scenario, De La Hoya coming back but fighting a younger fighter, way younger as more than 10 years younger than him.
I like to see if he still has something to give by beating a younger fighter like Pacman has been doing lately.
You're absolutely right cause De La Hoya taking an active younger fighter as an opponent was a way for him to keep himself in check and if he lost the fight he will able to learn a pretty hard lesson.
Actually  Amir Khan was calling for Pacman but he was not given a chance, so since Pacman beat De La Hoya which eventually made him retired, I think he has to show that he can beat De La Hoya first then he will get a shot with Pacman.
Oh yeah, thank you for reminding me this and I guess this was the reason De La Hoya choose Amir as him comeback fight opponet in other for him to completely know what he lose during his retirement maybe the next thing for him is to control his boxing career cause is about his love for boxing not the money.

Dana White's statement was well understood because after some years of no fight Oscar De La Hoya decides to come back and decided to fight against a stronger opponent.
In the meantime, time without risk no exists and that what Oscar De La Hoya is planning to do.
I think Oscar has always been making money despite not fighting because he has been actively promoting fights with his Golden Boy Promotion, and being a promoter that means you need to have a good capital in order to finance a fight.
I'm pretty aware of the situation and his Golden Boy Promotions was among the reason he hanged up his gloves early and was said to be the first American of Mexican to own a boxing promotional company.
Thanks, I wasn't aware of the plans prior to retirement, but I admire that kind of mentality who have plans after boxing as a fighter as you can't fight forever but you can promote fight after you retire, I think that's the same way Pacman has been following now.
You're right but Pacman seems to spend him time on his son boxing career and his job as Senate.
811  Economy / Speculation / Re: Top 5 reasons I see $100k in next 2 years on: August 24, 2020, 07:12:54 PM
The Crypto market is full of possibilities especially when halving effect takes over the market but that doesn't mean the bitcoin market has the chance of clinching $100k price range in 2 years even with the economic crisis and increase in money printing. About the companies using BTC as their reserve currency, I don't want us to build our hope on false information because no adequate information or evidence was provided that the information is indeed the truth. About Defi hype and locking away Bitcoin use, Defi is just a hype project and didn't have the capacity to lock away bitcoin uses. However, I hope people are informed about the danger in it.

Anyway, it is free to speculate and later on people will realize that there's more to it. We can give a lot of reasons why it will attain such level or decrease its value to this level. But one thing for sure, bitcoin will stay in the market for the next couple of years but we don't know exactly how much its worth would be. Try to be realistic as much as you can so you will not be disappointed if your expectations will not happen.

You understand my point cause the aspect of false speculation and not being realistic is the reason why I don't support the people mathematically making a prediction which could beguile beginners into deficit cause they are the most fragile which can be enticed by prediction and ROI which is what we see when twitter hacking happened.
812  Economy / Exchanges / Re: The best way to convert Bitcoin into real money on: August 24, 2020, 03:47:17 PM
You listed sites that better not to use. Localbitcoins is blocking accounts without reasons in last months. You can find a lot of posts about it. And they all require KYC. There are a lot of better solutions like local cryptos and others
Every crypto exchange site have there own rules and regulations so is localbitcoin and crypto traders that don't understand the way to make successful trade by doing a background check on the individual he deals with on local bitcoin there's a chance for his account to be blocked

Though they require KYC, but at least you know you are safe, the fact that they have 0 fees also.

https://c2c.binance.com/en
99% of every crypto to fiat exchange require KYC mate ever since the SEC set AML/KYC on cryptocurrency.
813  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Dips to $11.6K, ETH Options Predict Price Below $400 by End of Year on: August 24, 2020, 02:40:51 PM
The weekend market when theres bullish trend in the market especially Sunday cant be use to judge market stance cause this are mostly the day arbitrage traders manipulate the market in other to get some quick profit before business days.

Kugelberg points to the uncertain economy as giving people reason to swap fiat for crypto investments. “There’s the falling value of the dollar to be priced in; we have not seen the end of the dollar’s fall that is for sure,” he added.

This statement made sense. I have noticed some of people are slowly shifting to cryptocurrency or gold as the USD continues to fall.
Cryptocurrency and gold are the current safe haven out of the pandemic destruction but the dollars devaluation was caused by the US government.
1) They dont backed it with gold
2) They continue to print despite excess money printing complication said by people.

814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoins before the upcoming banking crisis states author of Rich Dad Poor D on: August 24, 2020, 10:50:21 AM
The pandemic caused alot of damage to the world economic and the institutions but it atleast unleashed cryptocurrency potential to the world. Nevertheless, I like the fact that Kiyosaki dont join the association of influential/celebrity that secretly follow bitcoin and still say negative thing about bitcoin and if the banking crisis happen alot of people will choose crypto and gold but it still does not guarantee their investment is secure if they dont take their time to understand crypto concept.
815  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Latoken will charge you 5USD monthly, if you are not active. on: August 24, 2020, 10:21:09 AM
When I looked at the title of this thread, I thought: will all exchanges in the future follow the same path? minutes later i remembered that the other day i received an email from skrill informing me that they would charge $5000 because my account has been inactive for more than 1 year, but funny Is that skrill himself blocked my account without any convincing reason. If all the services keep putting these crazy rules I highly doubt that they will have customers
There's chance that others exchange will enforce the rules of charging their users who's inactive for years in other to strengthen their business but I'm still surprised the OP account was charged $5 monthly for not been active cause I have an old account on Latoken which i usually use to sell shit token/coin and I havent such charges OP must have signed up for some features.

We dont know on whats up to their minds on why they have decided to make a comeback considering that they have already hang up their gloves or retire.Dont know if they are just trying to go along with the hype or
it did really poke out their interest on having a come back in spite of their age.
We absolutely can't know what's on their mind but I somehow believe the statement which Deontay Wilder said about Tyson before his previous fight with Fury was what unleashed the comeback of these old fighters.

819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi scams [history] on: August 23, 2020, 09:27:15 PM
This is cryptocurrency.
assets that are very volatile and high risk.
in a day, it can increase by 5000%, but it can be -90%. the thing to note is always looking at the profile of the project. dev, roadmap, team, etc. in order to minimize losses. especially to the scam.

The volatility in nature of cryptocurrency is not something new and even all newbies are aware of it. However, the volatility in nature of crypto investment was not the reason why Yam investors lose their investment cause the mistake was from the project team ending, cause the project was not thorough checked before launching it.

it's less risk if you choose the top coin with a good track record. but it will be so high risk if choose new coin
Maybe but choosing the top coins doesnt guarantee investor will make profit and an example is Dave which invested in Link and lost $12K.
820  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading crypto is a different ball game on: August 22, 2020, 11:41:48 PM
I supported what he said about crypto trading to be a different ball game due to the market highly volatility in nature which the reason why some people said crypto trading is like gambling and crypto itself is another course but I believe the reason why Dave Portnoy lost $25K is that he didn't take his time to learn the fundamental part of crypto trading especially the stop loss strategy and emotion control.
Meanwhile, every individual that cant do that shouldn't trade cryptocurrency.
