801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [$PYR] [ILO] VulcanForged - 'The Fastest Growing NFT Platform' on: August 14, 2021, 11:33:08 PM
Today I watched the AMA between Vucal - YGG, A coherent and knowledgeable presentation of the world of online gaming from CEO Jamie.  Kind, straightforward and professional.  With such an expansion of partners to motivate users, I believe Vulcan can hit 10$ before releasing the final version for all players with P2e!
-
Check AMA out here: https://www.twitch.tv/walter_chambers

With the growing interest in NFT-related games today, there's no doubt that PYR can easily hit the $10 level. It only needs a small push as it is now reaching $4. Gaming industry is already billion-dollar industry. And since NFT-gaming is just starting, they haven't gotten yet its full potential. This is why for me, for gamers, it is not yet too late to join in the NFT gaming market. They are just starting to spread their wings.
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what happened to ethereum? on: August 14, 2021, 11:15:17 PM
I agree on that, burning supply is one of the most common factor that can affect the price, it will make the price rise not only in ethereum but also in some any other altcoins, looking forward for the most bullish ethereum after this hard fork maybe the effect of this will take place 2 to 3 weeks after this successful hard fork.
If it is possible that the effect of the increase can last up to 3 weeks after this hard fork, then there will be many people who will benefit because now ETH coin enthusiasts have started to increase again and have also started to increase again so that it is very good for everyone with price resilience that will be very good on ETH.

In my opinion, the price of Ethereum may rise to the next hard fork, which is probably even several months. Of course, it all depends on what will happen to the Bitcoin price and whether a bull run will come across the entire cryptocurrency market. However, I think that unless something very bad happens, the Ethereum chart will be green for a lot longer than 3 weeks.

I am hoping that the OP is checking the market after 3 years of posting this thread. He was worried 3 years ago as eth was about USD 400+ only. If he kept his eth and just store it the whole time, he is about to gain 7x of its value 3 years ago. And it seems that it will still grow in the next coming months. If we finally experience low gas fees, I can say that it will boost the usage of eth network and so its price.
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ESCROW PROTOCOL- Investment Platform With Milestone Payouts | Auto-staking on: August 14, 2021, 10:48:44 PM
We need this kind of platform to reduce the number of failed/scam projects. However, this platform itself needs to gain credibility from the community so projects will trust their funds as well. And it will take time to gain that confidence. Looking forward if they can actually realize this platform if in case, they will not reach their targets.

Hoping that the seed round investors will not dump their token once it is listed. As you can see, the price of seed round is very cheap compared to early investor/public sale price.
804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentine President sees no reason to oppose Bitcoin adoption on: August 14, 2021, 10:17:55 PM
This an interesting news and all thanks to El Salvador (which open the eyes of the federal government that Bitcoin is not a threat)and the IMF Boss which advised the government to create their own CBDC because crypto is the future of currency and payment.
If countries like Argentine that had hyper-inflation use Bitcoin and their upcoming CBDC as legal tender it will boost their economy.

At least they are not closing their doors to blockchain technology. They know, at some point they need to face this development in currency. But up until now, many governments are still lip-sealed when it comes to cryptocurrency. It is nice that the Argentine President is open to new developments when it comes to digital currency. It may take time before we see their massive adoption to crypto, but that's a good signal that may open for their merchants to look at crypto in serious manner.
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GPBS] - British Pound Coin - Low pre-mine - 100% for Community to mine on: August 14, 2021, 09:37:37 PM
Why have you got it listed on an exchange within three days?

I would probably wait for a Kucoin listing or any other similar rep exchange.

Do you think this coin can really hit in Kucoin market? The OP said that he applied for listing in crex, I can say, that has more probability to be listed than in kucoin. This one is just starting and we need to see how they will perform in a small market first. However, in terms of crex, a lot of alts there has very low trading volume but it is much better than exbitron, which I never heard about.
806  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your Best trading platform is? on: August 13, 2021, 11:50:41 PM
I have feeling there is plan to dethrone Binance as top exchange but most of the countries cant allow some of the coins that Binance trade other services it renders. FTX exchange is tipped to rise and compete Binance in the next 4 years. At the moment it is highest trading exchange for bitcoin and most of the chinese are moving there funds there. Americans are also going through back doors trade there.
I still haven't use FTX exchange.

But if they have a plan to dethrone Binance, it's going to take time and there must be something better that they can offer to most traders. I don't think it is impossible.

Because before there were those top exchanges that has been dethroned like cex and bittrex.

Same here. I am still with binance though. Since I am availing their p2p services, I have no problem with their reduced daily withdrawal limit for unverified account. Because before you can avail p2p, you should be verified and the limits are quite high once verified. Also, I am confident with binance because of their SAFU. Not many exchanges have insurance in place for its traders. And it would take years or effort to surpass their popularity. They need to offer more features and security to its users.
807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Singapore Police Say Crypto-Related Crimes Keep Rising across the Country on: August 13, 2021, 11:04:53 PM
---
This is common things happened for the past years of crypto and people should always look after this to avoid any scams they can actually search the said modus since mostly those criminals offer a lot of money in return to their investors so that they can convince them to put some money on their platforms. If people will just research about what type of scams they need to avoid for sure the incident of being a victim of this schemes will minimize but unfortunately many are so lazy thats why we keep seeing newbie got baited by scammers.
too good to be true, right? We should realize this that nothing is really easy and without risk in this world. unfortunately newbies ignore this, their goal is to want to feel instant profit and get rich quick, without any knowledge base and only fomo, so they are easy to manipulate. when caught in a scam or scam they loudly shout: bitcoin scam!
oh come on... we have to be wiser and more attentive to what we are going to do. if we are ready to profit then we must be prepared to lose, we must know that the crypto world is very risky, don't just be interested in profits.

Regarding crime in crypto, it really depends on the user. all things in the world can definitely be used for evil tools, depending on who the user is. Don't just look at the bad side.

For the past year, more than likely, there are a lot of users who were being scammed because a lot of newbies jump on board when btc started to go up. So these newcomers they didn't know yet all sort of scamming techniques and they fell into those traps. Crypto itself is not a scam, however, it is the people that are using this technology to scam people. And a lot of them don't know yet about those schemes. Once scammed, people should learn their lessons and try to at least do their homework before blindly sending funds to the scammers.
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PHR] PHORE BLOCKCHAIN - Private Decentralized Marketplace & Ecosystem. POS/MN. on: August 13, 2021, 09:37:22 PM
May I ask for those who are staking PHR coins like in stakecube, they are also joining the airdrop of GFN. Are we going to wait for instructions from stakecube? Are you going to post announcement also for those who are storing their PHR in stakecube or midas?
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QUASA OPEN LOGISTICS BLOCKCHAIN PLATFORM on: August 13, 2021, 09:20:45 AM
Sounds interesting, maybe I'll try too. Its not bad project and they don't look like scammers.

they are supported by Kick team, I think such team wouldn't support scam. Not good for reputation, quasa haven't bad rep, good start up with bright future

Yeah. I also want to know how long will qua token live? Grin anyway it needs really powerful support to stay afloat, they have about 1.400 holders on etherscan, I think it's very low amount after all auctions. What do you think about its future?

If they will keep going in such way like now (I mean some activity to attract new investors and other projects which can support them), so QUA will have good price to sell. They need to make a reliable reputation

they will live long Wink such project with right aim, and they are really do their best as you tell about activity. Do you remember any project who launch game or help artist to sell their arts on opensea:) its interesting to follow them

But how about being an open logistics blockchain platform? Are they operating this service? Because their Quasa app, it shows it is still in beta. It says that about 1k+ installs in google play but no review yet. So don't know if it is already operational or not. Been about 4 years that this project is introduced, so by now, the initial goal should be up and running already.
810  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin go down below $20,000. on: August 12, 2021, 11:51:37 PM
As it is clearly seen now, it's not much probable to see Bitcoin price falling down below $20k in these days. It's much likely to go even higher than $46k in no time. This is a bull market or something like that happening right now. I wouldn't expect to see very low levels in a period like this.

$20k is indeed far from the horizon anymore. As btc goes up to 40k, it is now hard to go down to 20k level again. What we are hoping now is to see btc breaking the 50k. There are now more good news coming up from institutions and countries. And in this regard, it is showing that btc can very well survive without the intervention from the Chinese market. They may have had impact when they announced about banning of crypto miners but then again, btc rises up after such situation.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum @4k on: August 12, 2021, 11:07:34 PM
As, the entire cryptocurrency market is in the green mood and the bull run is gaining momentum ethereum price at the moment is already above $3k which is a sign that ethereum will reach $4k before the end of this week that is a week after the ethereum London hard forks. Just my prediction.

yes I believe if Ethereum can reach $4k this week, especially if there is an altseason, then it is very possible if the price of Ethereum can reach $10k this month, therefore I choose Ethereum and believe in making Ethereum as a long-term investment, because by investing in Ethereum, then I will definitely be able to get a big profit in the future.

Maybe not this week, as btc is going down a lil bit. But maybe few weeks or months from now. But $4k is easily achievable as it already surpassed the $3k level. It can even go to $5k easily if the market will be bullish again. And also, if eth users really experience the low gas fees because right now, it is still quite expensive for small users.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are other cryptocurrencies not like Bitcoin? on: August 12, 2021, 09:52:10 PM
Not all Altcoins cannot survive in the market for years in cryptocurrency.
Bitcoin has extraordinary quality and greatness in cryptocurrency so that it can still be the king of cryptocurrency, but there are also Altcoins that have advantages even though they are not the same as Bitcoin. For example, Ethereum is still surviving.
Bitcoin has definitely a great advantage compared to altcoins but it does not mean that only bitcoin will survive when it comes to long term. Altcoins too have their own way of surviving the market even we knew the fact that if bitcoin drastically drops its price, altcoins experience even a much lower dip.

So let's not wonder why all altcoins are not alike with bitcoin. The fact that they can still survive in the market for long, is already a good sign that altcoins too are also valuable just like bitcoin.

Also, most alts are created just to fatten the pockets of their dev team. This is why we have seen a lot of abandoned projects once they collected funds from naive investors. A lot of them have no intentions to survive long but to dupe those who will buy their coins. It is no secret anymore that most projects ended up dead owed to the greediness of the people behind it. So yeah, very few can survive along with bitcoin because the intentions itself of the devs are not genuine.
813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we get another golden oppurtunity to buy? on: August 11, 2021, 11:46:47 PM
It has been seen for some time that the cryptocurrency market is moving towards improvement. Many people think that cryptocurrency is giving them a chance to invest again. The price of Bitcoin is below $50000 ,At any time the market can come above 50 thousand dollars . So those who need to invest can invest without delay.

Don't wait for the golden opportunity to buy, because that would be hard to identify. As long as you believe that btc will go up in the future, you can always buy every dip. But remember before spending your funds about the risk you are taking in this. Even btc is a high risk investment. In which, it is always better to spend your extra funds so you have no problem when your expectations are not met.
814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About the popularity of Bitcoin on: August 11, 2021, 11:04:20 PM
Regardless of what is debated about bitcoin management for disabled people, children and the elderly, we can't avoid the fact that even healthy and young people are still blind from the knowledge of managing assets properly. The cases of hacking and losing bitcoins experienced by normal people are still more popular than blind people.

Very true. Even most of us here at some point experienced losing money to projects, considering that we are already here in crypto market. We can't say we haven't done our homework but we did. Unfortunately, we have no idea when a project will rug pull and disappear along with the funds. I think, when it comes to other users like blind people, I believe they can wait when the technology is already available for them. For others who are really interested, they will find a way how to make it work. If there's a will, there's a way.
815  Economy / Economics / Re: Why don't banks work with cryptocurrency? on: August 10, 2021, 11:59:25 PM
Very few countries have banks that operate with bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Banks always want its userbase to function under their control. This becomes a hard thing to be done when banks starts to operate with cryptocurrency. Apart from this banks think of hacks, because a single security breach into the banks vault will cause a big loss to the banking system. Though the technology is highly secure there is chance of security breach. Some are interested on the blockchain technology for its good, but hesitant to use cryptocurrencies into banking system.

Banks are indeed very difficult to work with cryptocurrencies, because both have different systems. Moreover, banks are very easily controlled
by the government, while we knows crypto is decentralization, which cannot be controlled by the government. With some differences that exist
in the banking system and crypto, finally crypto is only possible as an alternative payment. Even in some countries crypto is still considered
a threat to the banking system, so only allow crypto as a digital asset.

What crypto differentiates from banking system, is that they can't fully control crypto transactions. Whereas, as we all know, banking system is centralized where the government has the full control on the system. They can only accept it as alternative payment for the moment but totally adopting crypto is still far from their horizon. Just be glad that the adoption of crypto right now is booming owed to this pandemic. A lot of merchants are looking for alternative payment options. And crypto is a very good candidate on this.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PAYDAY | $PAYD | Our CEO wants to go corporate on: August 10, 2021, 11:15:27 PM
May I ask where will you generate income aside from the transaction fees incurred under your network? Passive income is good if the platform itself has strong use case. Otherwise, the promise of continuous income is really not possible.
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: August 10, 2021, 10:12:46 PM
'The Bitcoin price recently crashed, while the gold price has been steadily growing...' [From telegram] - it's still at 45k, 4x return in a year. Bette headlines please.

Yes, seems not a right headline considering that we are now up to more than 45k, wherein, a week ago we were only at 38k. Right now, I haven't invested yet in this stablecoin backed by gold. But lately, I've been buying from jewelry gold auctions as it seems good opportunity to store physical gold. In times of crisis, you can easily pawn or sell the jewelry when you  badly need money. But great to see that this project is still standing its ground. By the way, how many gold holdings do they have now in possession?
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake Tokens on: August 09, 2021, 11:38:17 PM
This is not possible to happen and the only newbies will get tricked by this action, every token has a different address so I don't think that they could be possibly trick by it unless they just look for the name of the token, as the name of the token can easily get easily copied. There are so many fake tokens nowadays especially when a good project just launch expect that there will be a a fake token that you can see similar to that token.

Agree, the contract address becomes important when we talk about fake tokens. We can confirm the correct contract address in the official group of the project we bought and can look for it on etherscan. The use of the same token name sometimes makes us confused, but if we know the correct contract address, we will not be scammed

This is why if the OP doesn't know how to integrate that in his online shop, he needs to hire a developer that will program the correct contract address. So if a user tries to send fake token, it will not go thru. It is just a matter of coding not to be screwed by scammers. Contract address is very important to identify it from fake tokens. We have seen that a lot especially if the token is getting popular.
819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what do you think "token meong" on: August 09, 2021, 10:21:20 PM
I will skip this probably another scam token. it's doesn't even have potential
did you not read the twitter link i sent topik its up to you to consider it a scam coin and to miss it is your right and view.

They need to show first the results of their endeavor because most meme tokens will promise to do something, but when they can't get the interest from the community, they will just abandon and disappear. So I can't speculate yet about this meme token. And besides, hotbit is not a very strong crypto exchange. But if it is binance that they go to, maybe the reaction from the community will be different.
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long Term Investment Suggestion on: August 08, 2021, 11:56:54 PM
For long term purpose, investing in the top 5 coins in the coinmarketcap would be the best and the safest thing. Invest in bitcoin , ethereum and binance coin.
All of them are great potential coins so if you are planning to invest in a long term then go for these coins.

This makes sense although there's no safe investment even with those top coins if the person can't handle their investment properly.

Don't expect also that those top coins will always have a pumping scene. What do these coins assure you is, they won't be crashed easily and destroyed as they already built a good foundation and a large community.

Still subject to manipulation though so just be careful riding the wave.

So if you want an assurance, better hold bitcoin as you know there's always market for this top alt. With other alts, it depends on the dev team where they want to go with their project. But if you decide to invest on them, you need to keep up with their progress so you are not blind with their developments. You will also have idea if the project has other things to offer to the community that can sustain its survival in the market.
