801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain vs DAG (Byteball's concencus algorithm). on: February 22, 2017, 11:12:08 PM
How many current projects using DAG?
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: February 22, 2017, 11:09:41 PM
Any news on coinomat NXT asset conversions? Are they going to be converted to new assets, or WCT, or WAVES?

Any news?
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA - Unmoderated thread on: February 22, 2017, 11:07:14 PM
Are Iota and Byteball the only cryptocurrencies using DAG algorithm? Is there any thread to discuss this tech and cryptos using it?
It would be interesting to see, since this thread is more focused on Iota.
Make the thread yourself. Third dagcoin is SPECTRE.

Can you post link to SPECTRE thread, I can't find it. Coin named 'spectre' i found isn't based on a DAG
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: February 22, 2017, 11:12:15 AM
You can't give a troll days to come up with compelling evidence... this is crypto. He can easily make a doc look like an IRC or Slack chat given time. This was a common tactic in 2014, fake chat logs.

You have to flip the tables, for example you DM the troll see if they are online first, tell them if you get me the info within ten minutes you'l give them .5 btc or some great payday. Anyone with that kind of info who posts unscrupulous crap would send you the evidence for that reward.

He's just a constant negative troll who makes shit up to gain better positions in the market. That's it that's all. Just another selfish POS.

Stratis has added to the team, and is positioning itself appropriately to begin to gain real world clients. Hodl for Godl.

Half right. I didn't bother posting the evidence because of how easy it would be to fabricate.

There's no point posting the screenshot I have, because you'd just say it was fake anyway. Nothing to do with having days to prepare it. If I wanted to fake it, I'd have made it already. Inspect element. Change text. Screencap. Etc.

I honestly don't care if you lot believe me or not. If you want to be taken for a ride, it doesn't really affect me. I'm happy to give a little warning, and I respect that you have to remain sceptical. I would probably be sceptical too.

I have no interest in lowering the price. I don't want to buy this shitcoin again. Especially now I know about the in-group pumping and dumping.

Believe me if you want. Or don't. Mock me, and call me troll, if that makes you feel better.

I've said what I know. Now I'll leave it alone.

Good luck, and hope people don't get burned too hard.

Post the evidence, let the community decide for themselves.

Very strong accusation, if true it should be made public.

806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRYPTO BULLION (CBX) | Inventor of PoSP! on: February 20, 2017, 11:09:22 PM
CBX could be one of the first coins traded on the first decentralised exchange, suggest the devs contact jl777 and supernet. Centralised Exchanges like bittrex and poloniex are incorporated into the InstantDEX via 'liquidity provider' market makers, but all trades are done via atomic cross chain exchanges. This is the future of crypto trading, would be great if CBX was in the first wave of early adopters.

Just out of sheer curiosity, what projects 1 year and older, having a healthy blockchain and active developers would users likely want to see added ?

CBX, going since 2013

SuperDAO, already has decentralised Poker app in beta, and other apps in development, plus DAO organisational structure is prepared.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1675894.0
Wow that's the new generation of the DAO? With bigger threshold rather than The DAO project.

It looks like dealing with gambling mode.

SuperDAO has been in development for +2 years, they will have learnt many important lessons from the mistakes of The DAO.

Decentralised Poker is a killer app to get users from outside the crypto community.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Community Coin - You decide, I create, we profit. (ccex and yobit at launch) on: February 19, 2017, 09:19:23 PM
Hello,

I will make this very simple and clear.

I will create a coin for YOU, with your specs and roadmap that you the community will decide together.

How are we going to make profit ? Very simple. I will pay to get the coin on multiple exchanges and give you all a % of the initial ICO for FREE.

Who is in ?

Make zCash clone
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [PEPECASH] Pepecash / RarePepe Speculation Topic on: February 19, 2017, 02:29:37 AM

This is where Bitcoin finally hits its stride and begins to shine - showing us the next level of abstraction of digital rarity, and you decry it for yet another centralized video game?  If the CryptoKingdom servers shut down, your assets are gone.. If the Pepe team were wiped clean from the Earth and the entire game were erased... you would still have your Pepes and a new game would begin to be built around them.

That's the power of a decentralized asset.  You are trying to get us excited about the video game equivalent of fiat, when something far better already exists.  I do hope CryptoKingdom gets ported to the Aeon version of Counterparty, when it one day exists.  I would definitely be interested then.

Crypto Kingdom needs a decentralized setup, otherwise it wont take off imo. One possibility would be to clone jl777's komodo setup for his instantdex which launches in a short while, which afaik allows for decentralised trading.

https://komodoplatform.com/dex-whitepaper/

The pepe meme is nothing compared to the rich detailed design of Crypto Kingdom as a full virtual world of assets and social networking opportunities, but I agree it needs decentralised asset trading so players can control their own assets. If that is achieved (decentralised trading and private control of keys), then Crypto Kingdom could become one of the largest crypto projects to date.
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | POS | Assets | Names | Polls | Automated Transactions | Social Network on: February 19, 2017, 02:04:41 AM
This does not look good.
How could you expect people to trust your next project when you leave QORA your old project and all those who supported you out to dry?
Unless I'm missing something here and if so please elaborate carefully so we all understand.
At the very least you know there are some db issues you could fix in a temp fashion
till a new Dev is found for QORA and if db code is not your thing then at least find someone.
I for one understand fully how life and circumstances happen that could severely delay a project but to desert it is an entirely different story.
Please explain.

Sincerely,
MikeMike

Hello MikeMike

Qora was not my project actually. When the dev and founder left the project, he delivered to me the source code and I continued from where he left it, implementing additional features and establishing a powerful team. But I left the project February of 2016, a year ago. I really did a lot of things for a project that was not mine from the beginning and now, I really want to start something based on the experience I gained the last years working on crypto.

With all respect
Vrontis

It would be great if you can contribute, at least temporarily.  I understand your desire to create your own project.

Good luck with your coin Vrontis!

It is natural to want to start your own project, and hopefully you can assist Qora too. Very strange that a coin as promising as Qora has struggled thus far, but it has all the foundations to be very successful one day. Resources and community interest are spread thin in the cryptosphere, quality projects can fail, which is very sad.

816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting upcoming altcoin ICOs? on: February 18, 2017, 11:04:41 AM
There is very less activity on the thread. And "DAO" is a washed-up word. Seems to me that not many people believe in the project or are interested to invest into it.
Anyway, I will watch it.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1675894.0

afaik they are still in stealth mode, so are flying under the radar on purpose. My sources tell me they are in private slack for last two years working.

If they release a viable decentralised poker app it'll be one of the most exciting crypto projects of 2017, but like you, I'm waiting to see what they release before investing. Missing the 40% early bird discount wont matter much if they succeed,  the marketcap will explode into the billions.
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VpnCoin |BitChain |Lottery |AES Chat |Domain&Website | Blockchain creative on: February 18, 2017, 10:55:50 AM
I think VPNcoin dev has done as Satoshi did, and he disappear to protect his identity. This is wise, getting caught organising VPN software in China would be BIG problem.

I too getting lots of connections,  so the wallet has many users still.

Yes, as you know "VPN software in China would be BIG problem",
We will upgrate VpnCoin and add "zero-knowledge proof".

Do you mean the zero knowledge proof features would be in addition to existing VPN functions? That would make a great coin indeed!

Yes, we will add zero knowledge proof features to VpnCoin.

This is very good news!

VPN services need an anonymous payment method to protect both provider and customer.

I think your coin will be top10 coin with this plan

Are you still working with supernet and jl777?

Moderated thread for technical info and civilized discussion will be opened soon.
The fud here has become almost unbearable. While it's really... a good sign for the coin, it makes my eyes hurt everytime i try to read this thread. I guess a moderated thread could be considered as a valid option.

In any case, thanks for your work Eliphaz and verymuchso!

As long as ALL deleted threads get posted back here nothing will be censored,  but HEAT will have a readable thread again. All a matter of degree, but Stewie and his socks have made this thread unreadable

820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 15, 2017, 11:11:24 PM

That's a valid concern and freezal got it right: the network had to start centralized and no one's showed up yet with the needed reputation and credibility.  I'm going to use every opportunity to relinquish control over 11 out of 12 witnesses in favor of reputable individuals/organizations/companies that are willing to be part of the network.  That would make the network only stronger thanks to both their involvement and the network becoming more decentralized.

You could have an election for 12 witnesses like Komodo did for their 64 notary nodes.

Why bringing politics in when there's no need for it? Human intervention shouldn't be as strong as this. I mean Bitcoin works because there's very little human intervention. There's a lot of politics outside the protocol (big blocks, small blocks, BU not BU) but that doesn't harm the continuation of the network.
I'm confused on this one  Roll Eyes

If there is a better decentralised way to select 12 witnesses than a vote by coin holders then we should do that, but is there?
