801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters needs to start respecting themselves on: October 10, 2019, 10:57:41 AM
Bounty hunters please start claiming your worth, do not go around promoting bounty projects that has too low allocation, i was surfing around on this forum today and i saw new bounty projects that have allocation worth of 1000dollars and they even have separate campaigns, why are people promoting such projects? you are the ones responsible for how developers are treating bounty hunters, there is nothing wrong if you decide not to work for penny... Even some airdrops on this forum has 8$ worth of allocation, just imagine that

For me, I would rather go and promote a project with a 1,000 USD allocation that looks trustworthy and legit than one that is dangling 1,000,000 USD allocation but will not end up paying or most likely a scam or will fail.

But you are right, we need to give ourselves respect. If a project offers very low payment, we will just say thanks but no thanks. I have other things to do.

If only people will start to realize that they are just being used by these greedy projects, they will stop promoting them once and for all. The problem is that they are easily swayed by the offer without really doing a research as to their legitimacy.
802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holding will be worth this year or in the long run? on: October 10, 2019, 09:59:24 AM
I found this article on cointelegraph :https://cointelegraph.com/news/nearly-10-billion-in-btc-is-held-in-wallets-of-8-crypto-exchanges. I wonder  if they had the control over the price, they can make a bearish run or even they can wake the bull up? Well for sure there is only one thing to expect it is having a good price in the future. What is your thought if the 10 billion worth of bitcoin will move?

With 10 billion, they have the power to move the prices down. Leaving these billions worth of Bitcoin in their wallets however will not change the prices. HODLing does not increase the price either. But at least it will not contribute to the selling or dumping. It still has a factor somehow to keep the prices running smooth.

In the long run, as has been shown in the historical chart of Bitcoin, the price will be moving up. That is always the bigger picture. There are countless of price drops if you zoom out though.
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any Altcoins out there backed by real assets? on: October 10, 2019, 09:31:36 AM
I have come across several projects here and somewhere else that claim to be backed by gold. I cannot remember all of them but there was EKON which claimed to be fully backed by gold as well as audited. The ratio was 1 EKON token for 1 gram of gold. And then there is also Digital GOLD, a stablecoin which is also fully backed by gold.

I am not part of these projects nor am I endorsing any of them. I did not even take a look at their whitepaper. So any decision will be yours to make after your research of these projects.
804  Economy / Economics / Re: Conservation Law on: October 10, 2019, 08:39:25 AM
This is quite hard to implement especially in a decentralized and uncontrolled environment such as cryptocurrency or Bitcoin. Fork is there as a possibility right from the very beginning. If it was not, then it would not have happened. But since it is there, it will surely happen especially if there is a huge disagreement among the developers and core team of Bitcoin. But I would be supporting a Conservation Law even in cryptocurrency if ever it can be implemented. Those who would like to create a fork out of the original network would have to create a separate project altogether rather than just fork it lazily from the existing brand.
805  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin adoption rising in NGO sector: Report on: October 10, 2019, 08:07:52 AM
This is good news. This means that a certain niche or sector is already opening up for cryptocurrency as a viable option. I used to consider only business establishments as the potential market for cryptocurrency. Charities were not within my radar. And now this news is clearly saying that Bitcoin is really acceptable even in the charity sector. I guess these cryptocurrencies will be exchanged for fiat to be able to be spent in the actual areas.
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect your token's on: October 10, 2019, 04:06:51 AM
Keeping private keys on the Computer is not safe too! You have to compress and lock it to be 100% safe. Because Computer hack is not a big deal for hackers. Personally, I wrote down my phrase codes in a paper and kept a very safe place. I never took a photo of my phrase codes, never wrote the private keys on my phone or PC and never enter online! So, now I feel totally safe!

To secure your funds, I would suggest everyone buy a Ledger hardware wallet! The price is very cheap. If you can't bear the present price of Ledger/Trezor hardware then wait for the Black Friday when the price will be 50% down than now and buy it!

It is always best to use Ledger/Trezor rather than any kind of wallet so far. Well there are other hardware wallets or even paper wallets but Ledger and Trezor have always been the two most trusted in terms of security and safety of coins. There is no need to risk on hot wallets when you can afford to buy even the cheapest Ledger. In terms of saving seed and PIN, it is better to go back to the old note and pen technique rather than on soft copies which could still be accessed online.
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: short term or long term investing on: October 10, 2019, 03:45:30 AM
It depends. If there is an opportunity along the way, I might sell them and buy them back when the price is already at the bottom or near it since nobody can say where exactly the bottom is. I have a small amount of Bitcoin for long term hodling. But sometimes I cannot avoid playing with it depending on the market situation. For example, when the price of Bitcoin rose to $14,000, I sold some knowing that this price is going to be temporary. I was able to buy back at $8,000. That was not the bottom but I assumed it cannot go any lower than that.
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Lowest trading fees here? on: October 10, 2019, 02:55:23 AM
The first question that comes to mind is, how is their volume? And also how many trading pairs are there? These are very important to me. A nice volume gives you nice liquidity. If the volume is too low and nothing but bots are working there, I will immediately dismiss it. And if the pairs are very limited, I would also not consider it. Sometimes, I do chase altcoins up to unknown exchanges for as long as the volume is there and they are traded in various pairs.
809  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank Crisis Hits India, Many Accounts Wiped Out, People Left With Nothing on: October 10, 2019, 02:00:38 AM
But why should the media be exposing how the banks are incompetent? The banks are the most powerful entity in this world. They control governments, they can also control the media more easily. News will come out of banks' shady transactions and extreme failures when they are about to explode already and they cannot contain it anymore because sooner or later the public will still know.
810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB good to invest at price of 0.0019 BTC ? on: October 09, 2019, 02:08:29 PM
hi guys do u think BNB good to invest at 0.0019 BTC ?
my friend bought BNB at 0.0029 and he is in a big lost now
i was thinking to buy at current price but im afraid that BNB
fall more to 0.0012 - 0.0015 BTC

I wonder what decision you have made with this. Did you buy BNB at 0.0019 BTC? Or you indeed waited for it to go down cheaper at 0.0012 - 0.0015 BTC? The price of BNB at this very moment looks pretty well. If you bought BNB at 0.0019 BTC, you have already made more than 3,000 Sats per BNB. That is already a good profit if you bought a big amount of BNB. If you decided to stick to your buying price at 0.0012 - 0.0015 BTC, I guess you will have to wait for the bad days.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How can we stop centralized exchanges from manipulating the price of tokens on: October 09, 2019, 01:37:17 PM
While everyone keeps have individual opinions and speculations on the next prices of cryptos, especially on the next altcoin season, I'll say we are moving nowhere because of price manipulation by exchanges. The actions of some exchanges is dropping the prices of tokens unnaturally and these affects market and industry confidence. How can we attract new money into the market when top wash trading exchanges like Bitforex and Bibox still exists and deceives people freely?

I don't need to add links to prove, but just google these exchanges and add the wash trading to your search term, you'll be marvelled at the results you'll find.

This will only affect shitcoins so it does not matter to me whether these shit exchanges will wash trade shitcoins. Let shits manipulate their fellow shits. Even if they manipulate and manipulate, they can never manipulate the prices of Bitcoin, ETH, XRP, LTC, and so many other top coins. And also sooner or later, nobody will trust them anymore. And with so many other options in the market, they cannot be a loss to the traders. They will eventually shape up or die.
812  Economy / Economics / Re: The U.S. Government Tried To Shut Down Bitcoin on: October 09, 2019, 10:57:03 AM
Well, if they failed in their earlier attempts, they will also fail in their subsequent attempts. If they are really determined to kill Bitcoin, they should have done it with much force when Bitcoin was a small infant in its crib. But because they failed on that and Bitcoin has grown into a strong young man after 10 years, they are admittedly helpless now. They are claiming Bitcoin to be unstoppable already.

And because of that they are now shifting their focus to unborn projects that might become as strong as Bitcoin in the future. Lest they will become as helpless as they are now over Bitcoin when they will allow the kinds of Libra to proceed. This is precisely the reason why unborn projects such as Libra, walmart's, Apple's, etc are nipped in the bud.
813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fell again, what conspiracy? on: October 09, 2019, 10:31:20 AM
Conspiracy big investor and company want to make bitcoin dump and panic selling from many people, they take moment to re investing with bitcoin on lower price hold for several week and bitcoin back again to higher, always have conspiracy between investor and company want to make drama with bitcoin.
It would be foolish of people to actually fall into this type of conspiracy again, two types of conspiracies that many users ought to have leaned by now, is that one that creates panic, and the ones that causes FOMO.

Most people that usually use this panic methods are just whales, they want to crumble the price so that they can get the opportunity to buy at lower price again which they usually do succeed, and after they have bought at lower prices, they tend to pump the coin again for those that will fall for FOMO, so that there can be rush for it to be purchased, thereby leading to an increase for the whales to gain some profit, but I think as a knowledgeable investor, we ought to have really known this and not to be too quick in taking actions without thoroughly studying the market first.

And the wise reaction is to remain reasonable despite what is happening to the market. Reacting with emotion will only make the picture cloudy and will end up with a bad decision. The problem is that many Bitcoin owners panic when there is a sudden fall. And then they will listen, read, and even believe in the conspiracies created almost immediately following unusual occurrences like that. Which are nothing but hollow stories. By the time there is a recovery, news will shift into a positive tone, and many people are now feeling that there is an upcoming bull run and they will develop fear within themselves and will then buy back with a more expensive price. This is the reason why many are becoming sheep.
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the fair rewards come out from campaign? on: October 09, 2019, 10:04:18 AM
I was planning to join the campaign, i asked one already join more than one, the answer is choked me,
Although the project not bad, he received only $6.8 after worked for 6 weeks is it fair?  Is it normal?
What you think?

Well, there are several factors to be taken into consideration before finally saying whether it is fair or not.

  • You have to clarify which particular campaign he is joining. If he is joining the telegram campaign, then that amount may be fair already. But if he is joining the video campaign or blog campaign, that is a low payment. Of if he has a high rank and joined the signature campaign.
  • You also have to take into consideration the amount of payment promised to you by the project. If that is the amount received based on the original and unchanged allocated amount indicated by the project, then everything's fair. You've been sufficiently informed about it beforehand and you still decided to join.
  • If it is not based on the amount allocated to the bounty and there's a very late and unreasonable decrease of reward, then that is clearly dishonesty on their part and you should open an accusation thread about it.
  • It is also worth noting that many of the campaign participants are not receiving anything at all or only receiving coins without value.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why lots of people got scam easily on: October 09, 2019, 09:43:23 AM
Things why a person can easily get scammed in crypto-world

1. Greed
2. No knowledge about the project
3. Trust

While I agree with number 1 and number 3, it is more of number 2 that is the foremost reason why a lot of people are easily scammed. In a way, we are all greedy. We always want money. And if we already have it, we want to have more. That is basically human. It could be all right if in the process of wanting more, more research is also being done so as to make sure that the process of getting more is safe and near certain. However, it is where almost all of us fail. We do not do enough research to make sure we know the project very well before investing.

Trust is a lesser concern because it should only be a direct result of number 2 and nothing else.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Biggest altcoin portfolio on: October 09, 2019, 09:11:21 AM
What's the biggest altcoin portfolio you have ever come across?
For me, it is 25K xrp, 4.5k eth.

Oh, that is a huge wealth!

But hey guys, the OP is not saying that is his personal portfolio. He is saying that it is the biggest altcoin portfolio he has ever come across. There is nothing in there that claims he is the owner of that treasure.

I have not come across other people's portfolios, much less the exact number of coins in there. I've only seen wallets with huge balances but mostly it in BTC and not altcoins.
817  Economy / Economics / Re: World Global Economy 2019 and future. on: October 09, 2019, 08:41:18 AM
May I know the specific purpose of this thread?

Because if we talk of the world's economy, and especially of the richest countries, it is basically something that is made up by a few individuals in suits up there in their glass offices. Economy is their game. And they are playing it at the expense of the rest of the world and humanity. Sometimes, it seems that economics is a mere BS that can only be discussed by and among people who are themselves filled with illusion of privilege.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Never Designed for Scalability on: October 09, 2019, 04:57:23 AM
well, recently i read some article, and then, i am quite surprised about it. because Vitalik Buterin and Joesph Lubin says ethereum blockchain was never designed for scalability.
firstly i think, it's just ridiculous statement. but well, since we know exactly what happened on ethreum blockchain, i guess that statement have some true point.
they maybe never think before, ethereum will have tremendous popularity in the crypto industry.
oh yeah , this their statement.

well, any thoughts ?

If I am not mistaken, there was never an old coin whose primary purpose or goal of being created was scalability. There were problems in the traditional currency system that they are trying to solve with their project. Scalability was therefore not the topmost priority. It was only lately when Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, etc, the veterans in the crypto world, experienced this certain problem with the adoption growing. They can be given solutions to, and that is what they are doing, but then there came a lot of projects whose intention was almost solely to address the scalability problem. Well they have added such scalable features but they still cannot replace the likes of Bitcoin and Ethereum in terms of adoption. It is not scalability that is the only problem. In other words, the genius behind Ethereum is thinking of much bigger things than scalability.
819  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3 things should not be too in trading on: October 09, 2019, 03:59:43 AM
Everything "too" is not good. That is too much. A moderate of everything is the best. Anything too much is that which cannot be handled smoothly and properly. You cannot bite off more than you could chew, that is the wisdom behind it. You trade too much, you cannot monitor all of them properly and with careful focus. There is a probability that you will miss something. You buy too many coins, there is a probability that you cannot update yourself regularly of their developments and you will just wake up one day with some of your coins dropping double digits in price. Trading too much amount is taking too much risk. A loss will also be too much to handle emotionally afterwards.
820  Economy / Economics / Re: 4th industrial revolution and what part in it blockchain might play on: October 09, 2019, 03:02:09 AM
I think people are forgetting that humanity has been able to wire money to each other with ease for a long long time now.
People think thanks to bitcoin everyone will be able to send money to each other globally but that has been something possible for the past 20+ years now.

Yeah, bitcoin makes it easier but with the improvements in banking it will become much simpler without crypto as well. Someone in Japan will be able to work with an Estonian company and pay them via bank wires and get their item. Not cash, not credit card, not crypto, just wire money from one bank account to another.

I know a guy who manufactures some items for funfairs and dude sells like 100k euro worth of stuff each time and he has constant orders so whenever one of his jobs ends another starts and dude just gets his money wired to him for the past decade or so, it is not as hard as people imagine it would be.
Maybe in your country sending money through wire transfer is easy, fast and cheap, but wiring money in my own country is really not a child’s play here, if you consider the amount of money you have to pay to be able to get your money wired, you will never want to go near using wire transfer services and to me, I think this is the greatest things that bitcoin has done for us in our country.

We are no longer at the mercy of some of these banks when it comes to sending money abroad, with bitcoin now, it is so easy to send money to lots of our loved ones for either personal purpose, school purpose or business purpose, which has never really been easy as much it is now with bitcoin, so to me, if bitcoin really becomes adopted, it will supersede the use of wire transfer.

It is where Bitcoin is very strong, in terms of remittance. Remittance using Bitcoin is almost hassle-free. No need to provide a lot of information the banks and remittance centers are asking. They ask you how much, where the money comes from, who sends it, how are you related, asks for at least a couple of IDs, for what purpose it is used, and so on. And then the payment is high. With Bitcoin, no more of these hassles and the fee is very low.
