Bollars (1), bents (0.01), bundies (0.0001), biddies (0.000001), satoshis (0.00000001) Grin
Skip a decimal place because it is easy to keep track of 100 of something (100 bents = 1 bollar).

goodness no, if you are going to do away with standard prefixes at least skip 2 decimal places so the literate among us can convert easily

jeebus people, its just the metric system  Roll Eyes

hope you're right lightfoot, I'm just going on my spotty success replacing the VRM FETS on videocards and motherboards; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes the FETs smoke instantly when you apply power.

I think OP should definitely get ahold of Cranky4u if he doesn't feel comfortable soldering it himself

yup, VRM

question now is, did they fail because the ASIC failed and presented them with a bad load?  or did they take anything else out when they went?

it usually makes sense
Bitcoin isn't usual.

All it takes is one mistake when it moves against you and you've permanently ended up with half the BTC you could have owned if you'd have just held.
It would have made sense two out of the three "bubbles" to do so. This price will crash as well. I am taking profit when it looks like the top and I'll double or tripple my coins on the buy-back.

good luck with that

1) Did this
2) is this the sync process?
3) I know of Linux... don't know what live session or an airgapped box is
4) could do this
5) can do this
6) I only have one computer
7) guessing its a feature in Armory?

I certainly believe in personal responsibility and understand that I screwed up by trusting what I thought was a trusted wallet service while I worked on a more secure option (I moved them there from MTGOX about a week prior because I saw so many negative posts and worried they would be compromised and lost)

oh boy, OK

2) no, you need to verify that the armory you downloaded is not an imposter and has not been tampered with see https://bitcoinarmory.com/download/ under "Verifying Downloaded Files"  you will need GPG for this and you should verify its checksum when you get it.

3) air gap is slang for a computer that is not connected to the internet; ethernet cable unplugged or radio disabled, preferably hardware disabled.  Live session is an operating system loaded from removable media, either a CD or USB stick that sets it self up in RAM not on the hard drive.  The whole point here is that your private key should never be on the hard drive.  Armory suggests Ubuntu 11.04 I believe

7) that is fine, you just have to figure out the bootable live session and how to be damn sure its not on the internet when you don't want it to be.

what is syncing is bitcoin QT right?  tell me you have bitcoin QT installed

pity, I only do these kind of deals with Nigerian princes...well, and one time with this guy whose father was the finance minister of South Africa, but that is a long story.
8019  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 23, 2013, 07:08:34 AM
Ahhh...there's that spike I could feel.

Went out and did some weeding...always a sure thing the market will move while I'm away.

So, educated madames et monsieurs....where do we take profits before this trend reverses?

somewhere between 1700 and 2200
