8021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China lifts ban on cryptocurrency on: November 11, 2018, 12:56:58 PM
I think this is bullshit.

You can't ban or lift ban on cryptocurrency.

Of course a country choose whether or not to ban cryptocurrency. That doesn't simply implies that cryptocurrencies wouldn't be used in such countries, rather it only means that it might not be government recognized, however, some countries have actually banned or restricted and it could amount to the breaking of a law, which could as well be a punishable offense and include certain consequences.
As far as I know there are numerous countries that banned cryptocurrencies but still it is been used there, an Example is Colombia where there is an implicit ban but, a public figure and superstar of the country in "James Rodrigues" owns a personal crypto token.
8022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is This Another Scam Or What? on: November 09, 2018, 03:13:54 PM
That's definitely a phishing website, once you input any of your wallet private details into the provided text field on the site your wallet gets compromised and you're bound to lose every assets you have in it. Any campaign or airdrop that requires you unlock or submit your wallet private details is and will always be a scam!
8023  Economy / Economics / Re: Why all people moan about the price of bitcoin? on: November 08, 2018, 11:21:44 AM
I guess people only complain due to the price they invested or bought their bitcoins at, What would you expect from a person who bought Bitcoin at the rate $17,000 to do when bitcoin is currently around ~ $6,400 ? be happy? I think it is only natural for people to complain and nag.
8024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins Difficulties on: November 07, 2018, 10:17:54 AM
I think the best way to verify if its good or no is whitepaper, or what do you think?? Cool Huh

A Whitepaper is only meant is to provide you an insight and better understanding about a project and how it works.

"A white paper is an authoritative report or guide that informs readers concisely about a complex issue and presents the issuing body's philosophy on the matter. It is meant to help readers understand an issue, solve a problem, or make a decision. - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_paper"

A Whitepaper is only relevant if the project isn't an outright scam to begin with, because any project could hire someone or firm to design its whitepaper and get a perfect one, So don't be surprised if a scam project has a very concise and detailed whitepaper. However, an experienced Investor might be able figure out if there are some discrepancies in the whitepaper.
Whitepaper might be one of the ways to find out but, cannot be solely relied upon to know if a project is legitimate or just a scam.
8025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Those who lost their coins on: November 06, 2018, 03:18:21 PM
I hope those extreme crypto critics can get to see this because so far their opinions and judgments have always been clouded by sentimentality and personal perspectives. There are a lot of other businesses and investments out there with huge potential risks as well but all they tend to see/know is only how cryptocurrency can be negatively used.
8026  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2 big news - Bullish sing or manipulation? on: November 06, 2018, 12:00:15 PM
IMO both comment are exaggerated because the current market is showing more sign of stability and survival rather than the supposed big price turn over, as you've already stated it could one of the be some big players manipulative strategy, but that'd wouldn't matter if indeed it makes a positive significant impact on the market.
8027  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A question for sending merit as thank you! on: November 04, 2018, 10:42:16 PM
As far as i know you are free to do with your sMerits what you want.
Personally i like the idea to reward other quality posts on the forum with merit(s) to stimulate others to keep making quality posts.

I guess you don't understand what the OP meant. As far as I know, You are not free to abuse your sMerit(s), doing so could lead to being tagged by a DT.

Is it not allowed to send 1 merit back to the sender as a thank you when the sender send you 1 merit?
In my candid opinion it makes no sense doing so, even if it is not considered as an abuse. The merit was meant as a "Thanks for your help (quality post, or some helpful post), Why would you thank someone for saying "thank you"? Rather use the sMerits on some quality posts you find too and If you really wish to give it back to the same user, perhaps later on you can If the user makes a post you find merit worthy.
8028  Other / Meta / Re: Merits for posters not making redundant quotes. on: November 03, 2018, 02:03:27 PM
Another lesson learnt, I had no idea whatsoever that quoting an OP could be an eyesore, but I have seen some threads where the content is entirely different from the title and not to seem like an idiot with a reply that's off topic with the title if already the thread is more than a page, what should be done in this regard ?
8029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Currency is fastest way to get rich ? on: November 03, 2018, 01:30:45 PM
Perhaps, it is one of the fastest way to get rich and that's if your lucky enough to invest in the right project at the right time, but what's the probability of that being the case with everyone ? it is zero! Having the notion of cryptocurrency being the fastest way to getting rich could have you lose way more than you can afford or expect to lose, because the potential risk involve with any crypto investment is equivalent if not more than the potential profit attached to it.
8030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency replace fiat money? on: November 03, 2018, 05:32:29 AM
In future, can cryptocurrency replace fiat money? This seems to be most interesting phenomenon to discuss today.

https://blog.amon.tech/can-cryptocurrency-replace-fiat-money/

That will never happen regardless of our widely accepted cryptocurrency becomes, It can never subdue the need for fiat currency. There will always be relevant need for fiat currency, mostly especially due to the fact a lot government will never accept cryptocurrency as an official means of exchange within its country.
8031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC or ETH in 2018 on: November 02, 2018, 11:24:43 AM
The Ethereum of course this year is much better choice than bitcoin , and I think he will recover faster so I'm for it all

Looking far back as January when the OP was made, I guess little or one would have expected this reality in the crypto market, I mean who would have thought both Ethereum and Bitcoin would encounter a huge dip in price below 5 times and 2.5 times respectively, but so far I'd say Bitcoin still has been able to get a bit stabilized than Ethereum and It will be better than Ethereum as the year runs out.
8032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is our money in crypto? on: November 01, 2018, 09:26:54 PM
If you're referring to security then unlike banks where you have to depend on them to keep your money safe, in Crypto you're your own security and your assets depends solely on you for safety. But if you were referring to investment safety, Then you should know that crypto possess the highest risks when it comes to investments, Just as the popular crypto quote, "Only Invest What You Can Afford To Lose"
8033  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [DAILY FREE RAFFLE] 133rd JUST BECAUSE I AM STILL IN A GOOD MOOD FREE BITCOIN on: November 01, 2018, 06:42:23 PM

Yet again Smiley
Thanks Krog!!!
8034  Economy / Reputation / Re: Exposing Amazix on: November 01, 2018, 05:24:33 PM
<........>
That shows how manipulated and rotten the cryptosphere especially ICOs has become, considering AmaZix to be one of the leading ICO services teams makes it worse. However, I honestly doubt the writer's integrity too, it seemed to me more like someone who got angry for being fired and would obviously have kept shut if he/she was still getting paid (It doesn't matter how many people get scammed) and part of these facts could have been fabricated though, I'm not in support of of amaZix by any means as some of the facts are glaring too, but why wait this long if there happens to be any atom of integrity in  you ? It's better late than never ?

NB: OP, I think this thread is in the wrong section.
8035  Economy / Economics / Re: 10th Birthday, Bitcoin Price Is No Longer Exciting ? on: October 31, 2018, 03:05:26 PM
However, this achievement was slightly tarnished due to its downward trend.
I don't doubt that's actually true. The revolution bitcoin has created and development thus far can't be tarnished, not even by the down trend.

Lately it has been difficult for Bitcoin to attract new buyers or even retain old buyers who are mostly disappointed with the price.
It can only be said only for those who are either shortsighted at technology or Are in it solely for the temporary benefits. 70% Of those you refer to as "Old buyers" are probably from mid 2017 and I would rather refer to them as opportunist.
8036  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you honestly feel about the recent bitcoin drop? on: October 31, 2018, 03:03:08 AM
I must say that I actually feel indifferent, Since I have come to realize that a deep fall in price is somewhat part of every cryptocurrency circle. There's absolutely no reason for unnecessary panic, I have a huge trust that bitcoin will definitely get back to the very top in price again.
8037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Acceptance. on: October 30, 2018, 01:01:59 PM
Allowing government regulate Bitcoin will be grand hypocrisy so, It shouldn't be done because the main and initial aim why Bitcoin was created was to curb centralization and provide anonymity, All these will be eradicated should the government be involve with its regulation.
8038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When to publish TOKEN on exchange? on: October 30, 2018, 01:59:59 AM
When is the right to publish TOKEN on exchange?
Before ICO? What will happen if the investor accidentally buy the token from exchange?
After ICO? How long after ICO? Immediately? or after the product of company is released?

Thanks!

Exchange listing after ICO is the best option but, No tokens should rush about getting on an exchange without at least a working product because it will have huge effect on the demand for such tokens even if it should get listed on a Top Exchange it will hardly make any difference, since the product is meant to be the driving force behind the tokens demand.
8039  Other / Meta / Re: My account be hacked and i want recover it on: October 29, 2018, 01:59:51 PM
Also you'll have to get a DT to red tag the account so it'll be somewhat useless to the hacker who hacked the account

Since OP said he has locked the account already, it should be inaccessible to the hacker as well.

Dear BTCtalk admins, my account be hacked the other day and the hacker change the mail and passwrod, so canīt access or recover it by mail.
What is the procedure for recover it? Thanks

If you're able to complete the aforementioned steps required to get the account back. I suggest you edit your original post and provide more details about the Account.
