8041  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Marlboroza has stolen in a commercial center on: March 14, 2019, 04:10:58 AM
Update: Marlboroza has now stolen in an industrial center.

He was seen drunk driving a forklift out of a cement factory with a pallet of Quick Lime, headed toward a residential center. He was shouting obscenities in Spanish at a 4G phone as he drove off, wearing what looked to be a pair of vibrating panties on his head. Estimated total value of theft: $65.

Disclaimer: this report is 80% speculation and 100% untrue.

I have never played gambling, but I know for sure that it is impossible to win the lottery or the roulette. Perhaps as an investment it will be profitable, I do not know.
I disagree with you, it is impossible to win constantly, but winning one-time is quite real, especially at roulette.

Ah, what have we here, another bump bot added to the list. I'm up to 22 of you so far. Impressive to all be controlled by the same person.

if I were an investor I would steer clear of projects which have to hire fake conversation makers in order to promote their project.

evidence coming soon.
8043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥🔥[ANN][Smart Contracts] [LOTTO&Games][GFR][GoldenFever] on: March 13, 2019, 04:54:25 PM
Do you think it's worth investing in GFR coins now? What prospects and guarantees are provided to the first investors?

Its a masternode project and there is no guaranteed investment when it comes to investing in a MN Project.

It all boils down to the project development if they will develop a product with real use case to create  a market for the coin aside from trading and speculation,

Did you know that you're talking to a bump bot?
8044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: 8)[BOUNTY][ICO] FORTFC - UNIQUE CRYPTOLIQUIDITY AGGREGATOR on: March 13, 2019, 04:08:51 PM
This is a rare case when the user is satisfied as he can earn kroiptovalyutu, and the project is satisfied as for a relatively small amount of money receives a large-scale advertising campaign.
This is a simple concept and was the reason for such a mega popularity bounty in the past years. In some companies, many thousands of participants were recruited, which made participation less profitable. But it still didn't stop anyone.
The more people in the campaign bounty, the better for the project itself, as the faster information disperses on social networks
in conducting bounty companies at that time involved a lot of bots and Junior members who had no merit, after tightening the rules on the forum and lower prices in the market, this excitement around the bounty companies slightly decreased
for the project, and for developers does not matter who will do the job bounty program,a live person or a bot,it is important the result, but the company's signature has value and is of great importance rank on the forum
I do not know why, but bot does not cause me any confidence! The real person is yes, but some kind of bot .... no!
well, this is purely your opinion, and for the bounty program, especially for developers, it does not matter who performs the task for the bounty program, and the actions on Twitter or Facebook can not be distinguished from human bots, even writing text, bot, does at a very high level

Doesn't it get exhausting talking to yourself all day long? Surely your "job" of bumping threads must be madness inducing.
8045  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 13, 2019, 02:43:52 PM

Relevance to my observation that dishonest and dishonorable opponents are once again using falsehoods to try to taint a coin by association? None.

Which part is false? That those girls are under 18 or that Calvin Ayre isn't disgusting in general?

The point is SV is backed by and attracts some genuine douchebags.

Arguably, Canadian Bitcoin Core developer Peter Todd’s replace-by-fee tools would make these transactions possible.

I don't know that "special", but really? Modern wallets, including Electrum, allow creation of RBF tx. All what was needed really was to know that 0-confirmation transactions are considered good by the ATM.

Yep, really dumb to accept a zero confirmation tx at a BTC ATM. Or for any purpose, really, unless you absolutely trust the sender. Is that really even a crime? I guess taking the money without paying the BTC is, but I wonder what they are actually going to be charged with (if caught).
8047  Economy / Reputation / Re: Legendary members "supports" fraudsters ? on: March 13, 2019, 12:40:08 PM
This is only a fraction of the scams of this "legend":

The forum allows promotion of scams up to a fault IMHO.

He already got thickly red painted. Not much more anybody can do.

I think if a scammer has been proven in court to have broken laws and convicted, then their account could be banned and even deleted. Up to that point, accounts are never banned or deleted for scam promotion.

This member was convicted of running a Ponzi scheme and served time in prison, and his account can still be found on the forum. Not sure if he was banned or not but I'm going to guess "yes."
8048  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Venezuela on: March 13, 2019, 12:10:58 PM
If anybody wants to know the most recent status of the petro (though it seems to hardly be relevant any more except for its association with cryptocurrency), chances are high it doesn't actually exist.

Somebody recently uncovered an account with a huge negative balance (equivalent to about $21 million), suggesting it doesn't use a blockchain at all.

Too bad for all the Venezuelans that got caught up investing in it, though it couldn't have been very many, and I suspect most investors were run-of-the-mill crypto people, some of them from this forum.

I think Maduro has bigger problems to worry about the moment.
8049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-SALE][ICO] Petro $PTR - Oil backed crypto currency launched by Venezuela on: March 13, 2019, 11:55:45 AM

That's hilarious. It would be great to be able to send bitcoins you don't have, wouldn't it?

The only way this could happen is:

1. Their code is severely fucked.
2. They aren't using a blockchain at all.
8050  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 13, 2019, 07:11:14 AM
(fair points)

Fair point. I just have a personal aversion to the term as its usually associated with "get rich quick" schemes on the forum.
8051  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 13, 2019, 05:56:08 AM
But why? How is it being used?
To learn how to use it. And to establish reputation for the future. Both of which imply a chance for passive income down the road.

There's really no such thing as "passive income." There's legitimate income and then there's income from scams, like MLMs and Ponzis. With investing and lending you still need to exercise extreme diligence in order to make a profit, so I wouldn't call those "passive" either.

The whole point of using Lightning is that its faster and cheaper than on-chain transactions. If you set your channel fee too high people will bypass it and you will make less income than you did by setting a low fee. If the cost of doing a lightning transaction supersedes that of an on-chain transaction, people will simply revert to transacting on-chain.

Also, its not overly simple to set up and maintain your own lightning node (though it is a lot easier today than it used to be). Maintaining a consistent internet connection, having to pay for that and the electricity of running your computer also need to be factored into the overall cost.
8052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NIMIQ VOLUME WAS 99% FAKE. COIN MARKET CAP REMOVED 99% OF NIMIQ FAKE VOLUME on: March 13, 2019, 05:28:20 AM
Man, there is no doubt that coin nimiq has 99% fake volume. You can also check the ins and outs from the HitBTC account and you can see for yourself that every day in general then ins/outs represent about 3-4 million nims. So, the HitBTC volume is between 2000-4000 usd per day. Nothing more. Also, many articles on the internet point out that HitBTC is one of these exchanges with a lot of fake volumes.

This may be the case but for whatever reason CMC has decided to re-include HitBTC volume. Yesterday the total volume was ~$2,500 and today its back up to $129,651.
8053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] [JPM] JPM Coin on: March 13, 2019, 05:15:23 AM
Around a half of month till the start day of the topic, the OP presents nearly nothing valuable about JPM coin project
And, JP Morgan has not had intention to discuss in the topic.
I doubt that the topic really created and managed by JP Morgan. Smiley

All the ingredients that are required for this coin to become a huge success. No communication, that's all we need.

In addition, JPM Coin will _not_ be redeemable anywhere else other than in this JPMorgan universe of financial products. You can do all the things with it you would a dollar, except use it anywhere else.

How's Bohol treating you Mic? I'm getting antsy, I'm afraid your beach pictures made me jealous -- will probably do some exploring tomorrow. Run into any other Belgians in your travels?
8055  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Adulthood is a scam, wish I could stay young forever on: March 12, 2019, 12:01:40 PM
Your past life, including childhood and adolescence, contain the experiences that you draw on to maximise on the pleasures and benefits of your current life. I'm just hitting middle age ( I'm 77 ), and I've learnt that there are 3 things to avoid in life - debt, ill health, and bad neighbours. You can even arrange your affairs to minimise the effects of a rubbish and dishonest government such as the current one in the UK.

Thanks for the sagely advice. I have 2 of the 3 things going for me, so far so good. There's really no getting around bad neighbors besides moving, you're certainly correct about that, and you can't very well wait for them to move first.

To OP: you hit the nail on the head. I stayed in school for as long as possible to avoid growing up, but alas it is inevitable. Don't discount your chances of making it out of the rat race. Also, just remember that money isn't everything. There's plenty of people that have it made and are still completely miserable (a lot of them are on this forum, lol).
8056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano on: March 12, 2019, 11:53:44 AM
Cardano is more than a crypto currency, however, it is a technology platform that will be able to run financial applications that are currently used every day by individuals, organizations and governments around the world. This platform is built in layers, which gives flexibility to the system to make it easier to maintain and allows for improvement using a soft fork. After the completion layer that will be running Ada is complete, a separate computing layer will be built to handle smart contracts, digital legal agreements that will support trade and business in the future. Cardano will also run decentralized applications, or dapps, services that are not controlled by one party but operate on the blockchain.

You basically copy/pasted this information from the Cardano.org website. Why?

Meanwhile the block explorer shows ADA is still transacting roughly 2 transactions a minute on average. Pretty weak sauce for a multi-billion dollar coin.
8057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: i have -98% investment on: March 12, 2019, 11:39:18 AM
OK this is really low-level FUD. I'm not an investor in this project and I never will be, but cut out the incessant bolded big red fonts or I'm going to attempt to have you banned.

Most crypto projects to come out of mid to late 2017 are down in price since their launch. The market was completely oversaturated with ICOs, and as a result, ALL coins took a hit. The only coin not down compared to BTC in this time period is Binance Coin (BNB). ALL OTHERS are down.

Take a break from the FUD -- you had me convinced at one point but now its evident you're simply trolling this coin.

Dude, their price is -98%. It is not -10% or -20%, but -98%. That is how my investment went. I have a -98% loss on my $100K investment investing in this shitcoin.
Secondly, they had a loss of $800,000 in their financials in less than 13 days.

I am glad that you didn't invest into this trashcoin. I did invest and I regret it. Why am I not supposed on talk on this thread ?

Obviously you're allowed to talk on this thread but to whine about your losses every single day in huge red font is either suspicious or a sign that you're crazy.

Nobody is taking you seriously with that tactic.

You can't blame a larger loss in ETH and BTC on them -- its not like they are controlling those prices.

As for the price of the NIM coin -- most coins are down 90% since the beginning of 2018. That's just the way the cookie crumbled. If you keep repeating the same FUD every single day you are actively diminishing the chance of recovery of your investment, I hope you understand that.
8058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: March 12, 2019, 02:42:38 AM
Devs trying to remove mining. Riiiight.

Yes, that’s exactly what the devs are doing with the lightning network. The devs are removing the miners incentive to mine through the implementation of the lightning network. What do you think the blocksize debate is about?

The whole economic model of Bitcoin is literally destroyed for the socialist oligarchy of lightning nodes to collect their ‘hidden fees’ off chain. It’s central banking all over kiddo.

Lightning is an extremely tiny portion of the total transaction volume. This is a funny narrative that you've constructed to shill your fork of an altcoin, and nobody believes you. Mining won't come to a stop due to lightning because for as long as you and I are alive there will always be a block reward. The last bitcoin won't be mined until 2140, so its not really a problem to be concerned about for the next 120 years.

So you don’t want lightning transactions to increase in volume?

What does it matter to you if they do or not? You're assuming that lightning will cut down miner fees, which are only a small portion of the block reward. Lightning isn't meant to take away from what is currently in place, its meant to accommodate future growth. In addition, as I mentioned and you glossed over, block rewards won't disappear for over 120 years.

So your whole narrative is bogus.

I don't know if you get paid to do this or you do it for fun, but I sure hope its the latter. If not, your employer isn't getting their money's worth and should up the quality of their troll standards.
8059  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 11, 2019, 04:34:03 PM
Let's hope whomever mines it is kind enough to return it. It's been done before.

Mined by AntPool... chances aren't looking good!
