What exactly do you have in mind?

Like tips or something?

I doubt it's a tip. "Business"

Maybe some fixed matches again or something. If not then whatever it is, it's risky to do such transaction.

If OP is really serious about this, then disclosed the information here in public and not via PM's.
8042  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why does everyone seem to be so caught up in post counts, position, merits etc. on: July 19, 2018, 11:05:53 PM
I have found this forum a great source of information but there are loads of unnecessary, unhelpful posts which are seem to be there purely because people are trying to increase their post counts and position.
What benefits does having a high post count or higher position bring? Surely, if people were not rewarded for having high post counts, they would stop posting unnecessary drivel.

Basically post count is one of the requirement for a forum account to ranked up. But with the addition of merits, it's now post count + activity + merits.

The main purpose of majority why they are doing such lots of post are; a) chance to be merited b) to ranked up c) post count requirements in a bounty.

Just report those users that you think doing spam or kindly ignored those users so you won't encounter their posts.
8043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: July 19, 2018, 10:43:42 PM
As reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to trade Carmelo Anthony a future protected first rounder to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange of Dennis Schroder. The Hawks will also trade Mike Muscala to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Justin Anderson.

Carmelo Anthony won't remain in Atlanta, his contract will be bought out and he'll be free to sign with the Rockets as a free agent. Oklahoma City will also receive Timothe Luwawu Cabarrot from Philadelphia.

Just a follow up. It's a good reading here about that three-team trade:

Why this makes sense for the Thunder

Why this makes sense for the Hawks

Why this makes sense for Carmelo Anthony

On a positive note, looks like everyone involved won and gets an advantage. Let's see what will happened next.
8044  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is predicted +218.9% Price hike is expected. on: July 19, 2018, 10:21:27 PM
Complete report at - https://coinpredictor.io/bitcoin#events

What is your opinion on this prediction, is the algorithm really true and accurate?

No algorithm can be used on what would be the accurate thing that can happened. Even how good technical analysis is or how well it was backed up, still not an assurance that it will happened. Chances yes and there is always a possibility but still "no one knows".

If only there was no such thing as "spoiled" event then maybe I will believed on accurate prediction. What is this "spoiled" event? These are the sudden event that may crashed the momentum of bull run such as hacked exchange happenings, big companies giving negative comments etc. Those are some of the events that can literally give effect on a bitcoin price even let's say we are on continous bullish run.
8045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest into Bitcoin or bank on: July 19, 2018, 10:01:50 PM
I have worked to get $2000 worth of money and I am planning of investing in bitcoin but my uncle is pressuring me to save the money at bank. I have done everything to convince him but he is not comprehending to my point. Please what do i tell him again to convince him?

It's not about the interest. Banks are not just for interest. Understand the terms. Of course majority here will say "invest on bitcoin because price will go high in the future" "banks will just give you %%% every year etc. Such statement is not making sense and it just show that some here are lack of knowledge.

If you have some spare money then it's up to you if you will put money on bitcoin while at the same time you have on banks.

If you really dont want to put on banks then stand to yourself. You can't decide to your own money? If you are worried then make up to the point that you can please your Uncle and yourself. Come on you are now grown up.
8046  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you have any experience in ICO investing? on: July 19, 2018, 09:38:01 PM
Yup, invested $500 into one ICO, now my tokens worth less than $1. Cheesy

ICOs in a nutshell haha

Same here. Investments in ICO's were never profitable. Airdrops in contrary are. You just invest time and no money and what you get is always profit!

ICO's before are not like that. That's why doing ICO became bloom because of the good results. But today, it's not that scenario.

Im seeing now that most todays ICO's are not successful. Don't know the reason but maybe because while time passes, the result aren't that good anymore. Most tokens once listed on exchange became priceless even how good the project is.

If you truly believed on that project better wait for it to be listed on exchange after ICO. If that's an ERC20 token surely it will be listed on Etherdelta and Forkdelta right away.

Would you share your experience in ICO investing with me?

What's the purpose? You want to know something in general?
8047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: July 19, 2018, 09:16:29 PM

So you're saying that a fight between Pacman and McGregor would receiving more PPVs than Mayweather/McGregor 2? I highly doubt that. Also there's absolutely no benefit, other than financial to fight Pacman, right now, I think Mayweather won't be taking any fights that won't both improve his legacy and earn him crap loads, so maybe he'll fight Lomachenko or something, but that's it.

Im doubt Lomachengko fight with Mayweather will happened. Mayweather wants money and Lomachengko for now will surely not getting much PPV's and audience. Plus the fact that Lomachenko's camp don't want to jump on weight level, the reason why they aren't taking fight with Manny Pacquaio. No way Mayweather will grants every request especially that going down weight level as we know the pride of this boxer.

Anyways the topic are now getting discussions with a bit off-topic. Since the fight is now over can we closed this thread and wait for upcoming matches?
8048  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen to banks? on: July 19, 2018, 08:54:03 PM
In every business it's the same. When new technology comes up the existing businesses will evolve or die. And obviously new businesses will also rise strong.
Same happened with mp3 and music industry...

How come your example can be applied to banking industry.

Banking industry is so vast that even if crypto will be the new thing , still they will remained. But prior to that, it will be very difficult to erase banking system even for decades. Honestly most crypto users here have a definition what is bank just because of interest vs holding cryptos. It's not like that.

Banks are not designed just for saving the money scheme. It has many purposes and advantages. Im a crypto enthusiast but not to the point that I will erase what are facts and closest thing to happened.
8049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: July 19, 2018, 08:32:40 PM

Now, the real threat in the East will be the Raptors, they still have a good point guard and I am sure Leonard will like the challenge to bring his team
in the NBA Finals now that the cavaliers are gone. I like the move by the Spurs, it favors the Raptors IMO.

Just because Kawhi Leonard is "Kawhi Leonard" does mean that they are now the real threat on the East. Maybe one but still I don't considered them as the main threat. There is Boston Celtics with the return of Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward (expected) plus their promising young stars, there is also Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, Indiana Pacers and also Cleveland Cavaliers which I expect will now can play more freely without pressure.

It favors the Raptors if they able to reached the finals or only if Kawhi will surely stay with them.

I just remembered the playoffs of Raptors against the Cavaliers.
Game 4 where DeRozan was on bench because of his off night game.

I think that is already a clue that they will be trading him. Who would bench a superstar like that for a lot of minutes and that is the playoffs. It should not happen. They are already throwing him away even if the game is not over.

That was Casey's fault. He also benched DeRozan at Game 3. Maybe one of the reason he got fired by Raptors management.

I guessed the trade was unexpected and not really part of the plan.
8050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the difference between Ethereum and Bitcoin? on: July 19, 2018, 08:07:54 PM
Bitcoin is bitcoin and ETH is an altcoin.

It seems that you understand what's the difference between the two.
Of course it is the basic difference but what about technical aspects, those two coins are completly different between themselfes and their type of moves on market/ plans/ price/ amount of users/ types of pumps and lots of things more are also different.

So you want us to really answer the question of OP with a broad, detailed and complete statement?

Didn't you know how much typing it needs to spoonfeed that kind of request and we even didn't know if it will be read or understand by OP. Even telling OP the basic answer won't do. Rather than answering it literally then just tell OP to do research and do some readings. Spend time lurking in the internet.

There are lots of answers OP can get via any search engine internet with that kind of question.
8051  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How soon will automakers start accepting crypto for there payments on: July 19, 2018, 07:38:08 PM
This has been my concern here in my  own country Nigeria. No auto dealers or automakers has ever accepted any crypto particularly BTC for purchase payments

Is that really a problem? There are countries that crypto is widely known but still don't have auto dealers that accepts crypto. I don't know how big deal it was and now considered as a concern in your country.

People there used to pay with your usual payment system so I don't see it's a problem if you will continue to do that system since it will take lots of factors before a company, not just for an automakers to accept crypto as their payment method.  It's not an easy implementation because there will be a considerations.
8052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing News: Crawford beats Loma for ESPY fighter of the year (2018) on: July 19, 2018, 07:16:03 PM
Quote
Terence Crawford has been named the 2018 ESPY Best Fighter for his wins over WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn, Julius Indongo and Felix Diaz. It’s a nice accomplishment for the 30-year-old Crawford to get the ESPY award, but his biggest win was over Horn, a fighter that won a controversial 12 round decision over Manny Pacquiao last year.

Since we are still in the Manny Pacquiao's fever, it was reported that Crawford wins fighter of the year over Lomachenko. This two has been in the discussion on who's Manny going to face next. So its going to be interesting if either one of them can get in the ring with Pacquaio and prove themselves against he legend.

Really a close one indeed. Im eyeing for Vasyl Lomachenko too but not disagree if the unbeaten Terence Crawford gets the recognition. They deserved both.

Congrats to all candidates.

Side note: Crawford and Loma are both with Bob Arum. Might be possible that they can have their chance to fight Manny Pacquiao.

I doubt Loma-Pacquiao will happened if one of the parties will not give way. I mean for the weight class. It's risky for Pacquaio to move down on weight division while on the other hand, it's a rush if Loma will force to move up weight. Loma can forced it as I know he can handle the pressure because of his young age but for Pacquaio, I don't doubt his strength but at 39 years old he must be careful dealing with his diet. Pacquaio is powerful at his current weight division even at his age so it's risky for me if he will force a loss weight. It needs time to adopt the intensity of any weight division.
8053  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I WAS TRY TO FIND ONLY ONE CRYPTOCOIN EXCHANGER NOT SCAM!!! on: July 18, 2018, 09:41:01 PM
Hello Every Body ...

I Am New In Cryptocoin  Trading ....

In The Last 3 Days I Was Try To Find One Honest Cryptocoin Exchanger Without Scamming Pepole

The Result Was Very Bad All Bitcoin & Cryptocoin Exchanger Have Too Many Scamming Reports

I Like This Kind Of Trading But The Problem I Cant Find Honest One !  Undecided

All exchanges have chance to become shit in the future but it doesn't mean they will be surely like that. At least somehow you can put trust and risks on exchanges that was already in the service for long time now and already built a good reputation in crypto world while at the same a registered company.

May we know what exchanges you are talking about here? So that we can give our own feedback about it. It's users based and problems in exchanges common.

Just think of it, if all exchanges are scam then why many still do trades?
8054  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Change Mobile Phones with Wallets on: July 18, 2018, 09:16:56 PM
And this means that even if it's a little more hassle, doing a proper backup and also a restore, so he can see the backup was correct is the best way to go. And after doing these steps he will also have the wallet on the new phone.

The problem with this is that information stay remained on the old phone.
Depending on the amount which is (or in future will be) stored inside this wallet (generated by this seed), it might be very foolish to resell  / give the phone away.
It might be possible (under some circumstances) that enough information can be retrieved from the old phone (even with a factory reset) to regenerate the seed which is being used.

The 'cleaner' alternative would definitely be to use a new seed.

It's not possible to know the seeds even if you look at all manifest files on the Coinomi Android app. And I doubt someone will look into that as they are not aware of the phone's past. Even using rooted apps will not do and I doubt there's a possible app for that.

Coinomi once uninstalled and reinstalled will definitely asked for keys upon opening. OP just need to remember the wallet phrase and that's it. No hassle. Been doing that lots of times already.
8055  Economy / Speculation / Re: ETF approving in August, how much will affect the price? on: July 18, 2018, 08:52:17 PM

ETF dissapproval last year leads into bitcoin surging continously until it reached it's new ATH. Although the following months until now, the result in not that pleasant to others.

So for me, approved or dissaproved I really don't bother on what will happened. Although there will be an advantage, I will just wait for the response of community about the result and what will be the impact of it to the bitcoin price.

Lots of positive speculations surely will be made while it's approaching and some will consider that it will be the same scenario like before. That upcoming event just giving me lots of thinkings on my head so I will just sit back and relax.
8056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ERC20 and ETH, the same? on: July 18, 2018, 08:34:37 PM

Sometimes the answer you need is on the bounty thread itself. No need to undergo literally what's the accurate answer for that.

Some of your question:

a) how to report likes and share in bounty campaign in facebook?

b) how do I identify the campaign manager?

c) when the bounty campaign ask for ERC20 wallet, can i give them my ETH wallet address? (You do read the meaning of it somewhere in other thread but still can't understand)

Please don't just participate in a bounty campaign. Learned also to read. There's an instruction there.
8057  Economy / Economics / Re: Government regulation on cryptocurrency, GOOD or BAD? on: July 18, 2018, 08:15:09 PM
I came to a realization that government had stepped in already in some countries who are accepted and acknowledge cryptocurrency existence. In fact they made a regulations that has made some negative and positve reactions over the implementation of cryptocurrency regulations like doing KYC (Knoy Your Client) on local exchanges, Registering ICO projects to the government agency concerns and etc which purpose is to prevent illegal or abuse in the use of cryptocurrency from money laundering, funding terrorist groups and etc. Well can you say about this regulations, GOOD or BAD?

It's good as a whole generally and surely people will have an advantage and benefits to that. With regularization, people will see that crypto are being recognized by the highest authorities meaning it's safe*, it's legit, it's not a shit or something. It can somehow protect users from scam, frauds or should I say that it can minimized the risks of losing funds.

The bad side? First let's knows what will be the terms under that a user must comply. Expect a strict KYC regulation, question\s before doing a large withdrawals or anything protocols that a bank follows.

Even with crypto today without a regularization, we are being faced to it's negative used so a regularization might help us on other aspects*. But again it depends on the terms and hope that it's not taking too much the freedom why we used crypto in the first place.
8058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: July 18, 2018, 07:54:04 PM
Round 7 KO by Pacquaio is really an unusual thing to happened in boxing history for a 39 year old guy. Im expecting 2 to 3 fights before retirement but it must be on a yearly span.
If everything goes into plan, Senator Manny Pacquaio's next fight will be here in the Philippines and since he is not under Bob Arum's Top Rank and fighters started calling him out (like Jeff Horn), he can now set the terms and conditions like he will only fight if the fight is made in the Philippines. It won't be a surprise if that happens anytime soon.

If that will happened then I believed that he will be his last fight*.

No to HORN anyways. Nothing will gained.

I guess that is the more reason why Pacquiao would not fight Jeff Horn. If Pacquiao said that he only wants to fight 2-3 boxers, I would not include Jeff horn anymore since if I will be Pacquiao and I will be choosing having a rematch? that will be Mayweather. There is no reason to fight Jeff Horn no more, he just calling out Pacquiao since he's career is starting to crumble.

Horn's camp is confident prior to Horn-Crawford bout. Since their fighter defeated Pacquaio, they do trashed Crawford's ability and in the end we know the result. Just because Horn gained rankings after beating Pacquaio, he jumped right away in fighting Crawford. So arrogant.

Horn's camp now want a rematch with Manny Pacquaio for an obvious reason of getting back again at the stage + money as always. If they really want to go back to spotlight then challenge Crawford instead on a rematch. Why they want Pacquiao for this. Smiley

That is possible if the price is right.
8059  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to learn cryptocurrency day trading! on: July 18, 2018, 07:33:45 PM
Hello everyone.

I have tried day trading couple of times and that didn't go well, I am looking for some tutorials or books which can teach me about day trading and I wanna know how traders understand the graphs for trading.
Yeah I've googled it but didn't find that much good info, so I'm trying to hear from you guys who might have tried different processes.

So you want to learned them all overnight? lol.

Just continue since you are there now. Because of continous work you will now be used to it so while time passesby and as you progress, you are gaining knowledge. You able to start with basics now so that's enough. You will now be able to take note of what things should be done. You are asking a spoonfeeding answer here no offense.

Don't rush things or your money will loss quickly. Spend time and focus.
8060  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin security is safe now? on: July 18, 2018, 07:09:21 PM
We all know that a few days ago South Korean Exchanges Bithumb hacked an estimated loses $ 31.5 million worth of crypto currency. I think Bitcoin Security should be more complicated.

What do you think?

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2018/jun/20/south-korea-bithumb-loses-315m-in-cryptocurrency-heist

The one that were hacked was the exchange itself and not the bitcoin itself.

Security of the exchange must be improved but if a hacker focused too much on their goal and spend time on it, they will really have a chance to breached the system by any means even how secured and well maintained the security is. Again, "FOCUSED". Cryptocurrency is no doubt one of the most targeted now by the hackers for an obvious reason.

Why would people lazily leave their funds in exchanges in the first place anyways? What is the point of it? To avoid receiving fees for the deposit fees that are needed? It is entirely 50/50 decision that would lead to a 100% of something not probably gonna happen. I had left few tokens in some exchanges like EtherDelta, but they were just half a token in its composition and I just leave it as a dying investment anyway since I sold it all out when the token I was holding peaked.

Not literally leaving their funds but for a trader, it's really necessary to just leave their funds on an exchange so that they won't missed an action. They understand the risks here that's why it can be only applied to those big exchanges. I see nothing wrong about it.

Anyways Etherdelta is not a good example here.
