8041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: March 19, 2021, 06:45:33 AM
@rdbase wait did you say races started yesterday? I see one week from my news but maybe I don't understand how things work.

Still looking for a good AlphaTauri outright or # of podium finish type bet!

^  And word going around that Ferrari is a toxic environment to work in.  They pressured poor Vettel into baldness then he called it quits and took a pay cut to be with Aston Martin.  I think his new team will be good for him tho.  Let’s see those hair follicles revive!  Cheesy

He needs to drive a Tesla for that to happen, look what it did to Elon! Or maybe it's a ploy to auction off each follicle as an NFT...
8042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io "Blackjack Football Frenzy" @ 21.00 odds [Daily Specials] on: March 18, 2021, 07:37:20 PM
Looks like I'm not the only one keeping an eye now. The Telegram bot notification definitely works and even though I'm likely to be murdered with dagger eyes by opening my laptop at this time, well worth this event!

5th time, and my 3rd attempt. After Spurs disappointing me (this is me knowing they can't possibly score 3 in about 6 mins, what on earth Mou), Blackjack lucky you think guys?

8046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: March 18, 2021, 05:40:35 PM
I have two identical bets (betbuilders) on Shakhtar and Molde's matches.

Both teams are trailing after the first leg and are unlikely to advance to the next round, but i don't think they will make it easy for Roma and Granada either. My play is home teams over0.5 goals + home teams O3.5 corners + O1.5 cards each team for around and over 3.00 total odds.

Historically, Roma and Shakhtar have played three times in Ukraine, all three in favor of the home team, i just can't see Roma keeping a clean sheet the way they have been playing lately, and the Ukrainians are a team full of South American players, they dominate possession and create chances etc.

Molde pulled the biggest surprise eliminating Hoffenheim in the previous round, the Norwegians scored 5 goals in those two matches, playing an open/attacking football, and even though they play on a neutral location today, i expect them to not leave Europa League without a fight.

Generally I'd agree here but I think Molde hugely overperformed and shouldn't have got this far. Granada themselves are guilty of a lot of pretensions and their last 10 games in La Liga was something I avoided luckily, after getting good wins from them at the season's start.

My money is still on the Andalusians to win. Roma's not good value here agree.

For funny money Rangers is my pick, as is AC Milan for home wins at 2/1 and 3/1 respectively.
8047  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic IV on: March 18, 2021, 04:28:00 PM
^  Hah thanks.  My background was really in finance, worked at a bank before I got into poker then some stocks trading then crypto with a little bit of gambling in sports here and there when I was playing lots of poker back in the day.  I kinda suck at trading tho.  It’s mostly guess work for me and a lot of bankroll management.

Bank, to poker, to stocks to crypto. But speculative crypto like trading or shall we say more philosophical dabblings?

I've to admit my crypto entrance was only as an alternative to PayPal, even if the interest was from a journalistic aspect, I never actually used Bitcoin until 2016 when I had a lot of time and was wondering how on earth to fix my Paypal to earn from abroad;)

I learnt, as I'd said just a few days ago, the really hard away, I was like every trader. Death by leverage. And that was forex (way before Bitcoin) with 500:1 leverage very common haha, using e-gold ha ha.
8048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everything you wanted to know about Grayscale BTC Trust but were afraid to ask! on: March 18, 2021, 02:50:18 PM
Yep pretty much everyone in the 6m pipeline is loosing money. They're loosing, 1% in management fee, the discount over secondary, and 6m time value of money. Should've been trivial for Grayscale to see that secondary wouldn't be able to absorb the insane BTC10k of daily inflows, but you know those management fees are so hard to pass on. Oh well, hedge funds get screwed while retail enjoys a discount for next 6m i say it's a win/win

What. A. Cluster.

Those fees probably also accumulate or are periodic, so they're almost stuck in a sunken losses cycle. Already at a loss, too late to cut it off and it's not like it's even a lot as you point out. And now piling it on with "defi". Because Chainlink et al are SO decentralised.

Something tells me though that the managers aren't letting in on how bad it looks to the actual investors.

8049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Morgan Stanley, a big US bank offering wealthy clients access to bitcoin funds on: March 18, 2021, 12:25:43 PM
Wasn't it them or some other big bank just last week also reactivating a trading desk for crypto? Doesn't matter what they or their owners think about Bitcoin anymore (surely some would have had changes of heart this year too aftercovid performances come through) but it would seem now with their clients banging on their doors, going to be hard to pretend Bitcoin doesn't exist anymore.

Supply squeeze incoming?

Whoops. So I see that the Telegram bot alert worked, but since I wasn't even online, it failed to register on me;) -- I pinged you JanpriX with the bot name so you can try it out yourself!

Looks like we're getting closer and closer to 21 with every game, and a high card count really gets us close to it. Bet you guys who were able to join were counting the minutes;)

Couldn't even in on tennis! Been having some tough near misses of late, but we'll go for another insured 5-legs at a nice boost, and see if we can't crack Europa and Championship with a sprinkle of Aussie football eh?

8053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: March 17, 2021, 05:22:46 PM
Right okay, so I know next to nothing about F1 these days. Definitely been aware that the prancing horse is not at the top of the pyramid. Looking at underdogs, since that's what I know: Haas, Alfa Romeo and Williams... think any of these 3 can break out of the bottom?

Aston Martin I see has the eye for some of you, and just saw Vettel's now with them.

But for no reason other than to jump on the Tsunoda hype train, I'm going to see how his odds might be for podium finishes with AlphaTauri. Give me the odds and I'll throw some satoshi at him.

8054  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Sportbet.one presents🏆The Maharaja of Bitcointalk🏆$600 Prize Pool !Free Entry! on: March 17, 2021, 03:32:36 PM

8055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 55% of bitcoin circulating supply have not moved since 2018 on: March 17, 2021, 01:54:32 PM
Steel hands? After only 2+ years and buying at that 2018 winter? Nah. You survive buying at one ATH and hold through a 90% "deep" and then you can apply for strong hands. It should have been really easy to buy in 2018 and hold on through the next two years, seeing as it would have been awesome figures (although credit for not panicking in March last year).

P.S. Anyone else notice the "deep" squad going around today? Or is it just my eye catching it more than it should?Wink
8056  Economy / Speculation / Re: First Batch of $1,400 Stimulus Checks Hit Bank Accounts Starting Today on: March 17, 2021, 12:51:42 PM
Anyone else feel it's strange there's no clickbait-type news for those 1400 cheques hitting Coinbase like the last time these stimuli cash went out?

Thought maybe it needed the weekend, but it's mid-week now and not happening, or maybe the data's not out yet?

Cause if all that cash got thrown and we're still slipping below 55, damn.
8057  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Sportbet.one presents🏆The Maharaja of Bitcointalk🏆$600 Prize Pool !Free Entry! on: March 17, 2021, 10:49:15 AM
On your screen we can read "Odds 11.52". What does it mean? You have a bonus?

Yes that's right. We can boost odds and I use it a lot, so you can see the boost reflected in the payout... but not the original odds, which is why I put the odds on text =)
8058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io "Blackjack Football Frenzy" @ 21.00 odds [Discussion thread] on: March 17, 2021, 10:28:59 AM
Definitely need a bit more of an update, or a way to subscribe! Totally missed this one, but trying out a new Telegram bot soon to help me notify on action in threads like this. Just found it, see if it works.

So far the best performance of the 3, with 14 points no? Still cool to see if we can find a way to double down on HT;)
8059  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: March 17, 2021, 09:33:36 AM
Hornets register yet another win against Rotherham and are running strong on 2nd position on Championship table. Players are working according to Xisco Munez plans and his strats are also working. Watford were on level with Swansea on table with points and Swansea 1 matches played behind. This win was a crucial one to keep up with the gap. Meanwhile Swansea are 2-0 down against Bournemouth right now so really a good win for Watford in this round and for me too.

EDIT:

Today Swansea loose and watford win, so Watford is oficially in promotion place, lets go back to the EPL.

oohh! guess I was not the only one enjoying the match and rooting in for Hornets huh.. yeah lets go to PL..

They're still regularly in my parlays actually. Odds on them are always good value, considering their form and position in the table (last night they were about 18/10 for example). Sarr will feel vindicated he stayed on, and yeah, as long as Swansea lose their games in hand (heh) and with Brentford and their rivals dropping points, think we could see them back next season. Now just to keep the form going!

@morvillz: Had Brentford, Watford, Boro plus a small game in Brazil for 9/1 so I was happy at HT. Then Brentford had to give up their 2-goal lead... I think they'll fancy their chances and prefer meeting all their direct rivals in last stretch. I really wanna see them just get the automatic spots!

Who here took Watford at 7/1 to win the Championship? Wink
8060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +54477 units on: March 17, 2021, 07:50:19 AM
Damn you Brentford, or damn you Derby. Can't Rooney just ask his team to give up after going down 0-2? You gotta go ruin it for me haha. Other picks were solid though.

Tennis special in about 15 minutes, why not? For a confidence boost.
