Why don’t you open source your application, let people build themselves and potentially compare the hashes with the ones you posted?

Have a niceday ahead! I am real biginners in bitcointalk the only thing i didn't know is this archiving thread. Could anybody explain me the use of archiving what is the purpose of this ?
To prevent people from changing/deleting a post and denying they posted something before. Or just saving something for posteriority for any reason.

It seem that type 1 flag is shown in yellow to the newbies who have less than 7 days of login time. Type 2/3 flags are shown in red though.
Are you sure? I just registered an account to test this and its still red. However, it shows yellow on his trust page: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=2532772

Ohhhh damn man, it already happened with you ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) tbh i thought that i was the only one That's a really common malware. And trust me, this isn't an issue with Binance's "copy address button". If this was the case, we would see thousands and even millions worth of BTC being reported stolen, which is not the case. Binance is one of the biggest exchanges in the world and they move millions daily. Like others said, you either have an infected PC (downloaded a "bad" software) or an infected browser (with enough permissions, extensions or scripts - usually used with Tampermonkey or such - can do basically anything in the websites you visit. E.g: change the button JS to copy an predetermined address generated by a hacker). Clean your device, be more careful and move on.

What kind of extension? If you plan to post a malware extension like these that are popping up like crazy recently (e.g fake MEW or Ledger wallets), then no deal. However, if you have a legit extension, I may be able to do that for you.

Question...
Can you use the mobile application with both the Nano S and Nano X to simply view your balances? I know you can only send/receive via the mobile app with the Nano X.
Yes. I only have the Nano S and I use iOS, so there is a limitation by Apple that doesn't let people use the device plugged through the lightning port (and only the Nano X has Bluetooth), so I just use it to view my balances. To do that, in Ledger Live, go to Settings, Accounts and select "Export accounts". Then, go to your mobile app and scan the QR code that keeps changing. This will create a watch-only version of your wallet in the mobile app. This means that you can also receive coins in your wallet (but without the proper security, since the app can be tampered somehow), so you should be careful with that.

I did not know that there are Electron Cash too LOL
There are so many Electrum forks that I lost count. Electrum... Dash, LTC, Cash, SV, BTG, Doge, Zcash, Zclassic, etc... It's one of the best and most famous lightweight wallets, so it appears that people just go with it for everything. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

So for broadcasting transactions on the network we need a full node for security reasons ?
I don't think this is personally necessary, but its recommended (the more you fully control, the less is the potential third party risks). Signed transactions can't be modified, so it doesn't really matter who broadcasts it. But there will always be some potential issues, like the service you use to broadcast them being down or intentionally holding transactions (and not really broadcasting them). Yes, I'm using this for many months on my Woocommerce Wordpress website using their plugin. Tested it on testnet and on-chain it's working fine to me without any issue yet.
A bit off-topic but what web commerce do you own? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Correct me if am wrong, i thought Type 2 and Type 3 are the ones visible as red flags and thus known by that name.
The type 1 flag is also red. But I prefer and recommend that people call them "flag type 1/2/3" so we can all know what people are talking about. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftalkimg.com%2Fimages%2F2023%2F05%2F14%2Fblob371ed1681f18830d.png&t=663&c=9eyTCJ5CU3UO8g)

That's not really new. I have seen this scam multiple times with G2A, BitPay, LocalBitcoins and NitrogenSports. Here is my last thread about the exact same scam: Fake "Localbitcoin doubling BTC exploit script" scamThe rule of thumb is "never run any unknown script" in your browser.

Not gonna lie, this is actually pretty scary. I've never stopped to think about this possibility since I always had the idea that difficulty decreases anyways even if the hash power is at zero, but that makes sense since BTC only sees blocks and not time itself. Have you seen anything/any discussion about countering this issue anywhere?
|
|
|
of course it can theoretically happen. if all miners stopped mining, difficulty would not adjust. it doesn't just magically adjust when hash rate drops. the blockchain needs to reach the 2016 block difficulty adjustment threshold.
there are lots of dead blockchains out there where transactions can no longer be processed. let's hope bitcoin never joins them, but the possibility certainly exists.
So if everyone stops right now and the hash power of the network is equal to one guy mining with a CPU, it won't adjust after some time? I wasn't aware of this. It makes sense if the difficulty only changes after X blocks mined (and with a single CPU, it will take a looong time for that to happen). I was thinking this was more time based rather than block based, but thinking now, that makes more sense.

Miners are there to basically process transactions. If there are no miners, transactions won't be be processed and confirmed. I'm afraid there will be no more transactions on the network without the necessary processing capacity of miners.
This can't happen. If miners leave, the difficulty decreases and becomes easier to mine. People will then start to mine to profit as they get more "space" to do so. And even if BTC ever goes to zero, I'm pretty sure there will be people mining just for the lulz (difficulty will be down anyways, since there is no profit-seek miners, so it won't be expensive).

Apparently even CryptoTalk's campaign is going down. You can't join in with new accounts, so new people can't get paid for posting there. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) They obviously couldn't handle the spam.
