^I'm pleased to see the Red Devils crash out, but I'm pretty disappointed that the fans are calling for his head now. You guys are challenging for Europa honours and are the favourites after kicking out AC Milan. You did rest some players but still had a strong enough team and hey, you lost to a good side today. You're favs for 2nd place and mathematically could pip City... why kick OGS out now? Who do you think is good enough to replace him?

Anyway, very good outing for me tonight in EPL and all around. VERY pleased.
8062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rich people causes cryptocurrency ban on: March 21, 2021, 07:15:34 PM
Is it the wealthy who are the problem, or the government, which refuses to acknowledge cryptocurrency, deeming it a threat to the economy? So I doubt that the wealthy are behind this because it's another way for them to make money; they have a big head start and can make a lot of money. The government, on the other hand, needs wealthy people to pay taxes on a regular basis because they are wealthy, have a lot of money, or own a company.

I'm not generally one to feed the conspiracy theories but the government, in general, in most places in the world, is put in place as a system and structure by and for the elites -- the wealthy, the powerful, the privileged, less so for and by the people.

I disagree that blaming the wealthy alone is the problem, since most of us subscribe and empower the structures propping up the elite anyway, knowingly or unknowingly.

But they are certainly at fault for setting the world on its current path. Bitcoin is a divergence from that path.

^ I'm checking often now but still not seeing it, probably going to be limited market as well so want to shoot it in while open;) edit: it's here!

Edit: just realised it's for the Barca game, but I don't mind. Expect cards galore my friends! https://sportsbet.io/sharebetslip/3a8b1452-0112-416c-bdbc-86f514c05d7a

Still "reeling" from that Arsenal game, and feeling a bit "let down" they actually came back from 3 goals down but just couldn't find enough in the reserves to push for all 3 points. Hope Spurs/Villa is another goalfest really!

We're getting some keen away wins from underdogs tonight across Europe (Mainz, Benevento, Nimes), not quite happening for a lot of people this week (except Citeh).

Finally my first win with Benevento;) 18/1 but I know you only count 5% ROI, but as I said, my style is hugely unsuited for this tourney, but never mind, I don't mind at all.

I'll put in another bet: https://sportsbet.io/sharebetslip/44a855b1-9ef8-44b4-9cc9-4b692f2a7737

Odds: 4.44

Thanks morvillz7z, haha, yeah, I'm really pleased with myself. Took two even bets on Sheffield and Benevento, and very very happy to catch 18/1 odds when most bookies were doing 14/1 at most. Juventus really finding it difficult to score (8 shots, the away team managed only 1 shot but that was all they needed haha). Now thanks to this win I'm hugely in profit so can afford to throw even more money away elsewhere =p

Now I will hopefully not jinx myself with other bets!
8066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: March 21, 2021, 04:46:20 PM
Sorry for the late submission, I was rushing to pick the matches and I picked a heck lot of 3/1 and 4/1 odds, so let's see if the glorious underdog heat can take me home in this second last edition of Multi Masters! Noticed that Michigan match spelled the game as "tigres" instead of Tigers haha. Let's get some of that LatAm flavour maybe? Or am I talking outta my ass?

Never watched a single minute of NCAA game in my life. Never even heard of single club let alone player. Damn I am good Smiley

Funny thing is all the names seem familiar, like I've heard of them before in some TV film or series at some point or other.

Wildcats... Ramblers... Ducks... Vikings, etc. I feel like I might have been an expert in a past life heh.

My picks:

Illinois - Loyola Ramblers 2
Baylor - Wisconsin 2
West Virgina - Syracuse 2
Arkansas - Texas Tech 1
Houston - Rutgers 2
Florida - Oral Roberts 2
Villanova - North Texas 2
Oklahoma St. - Oregon State 2
Iowa - Oregon Ducks 1
Gonzaga - Oklahoma 1
UCLA Bruins - Abilene Wildcats 1
Creighton - Ohio Bobcats 1
Michigan - LSU Tigres 1
Florida State - Colorado 1
Alabama - Maryland 1
Kansas - USC Trojans 1
8067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 21, 2021, 03:00:24 PM
^ Ah you're right actually, I just realised they stopped showing the odds for them, I thought this was quite useful for me, since I do check odds on the teams I'm less familiar with (but as you can see from the post-match, popular picks seldom ever follow bookie odds). I thought it was an option some time back where they asked if you like gambling (and I selected yes, send me more ads please haha).

Dashboard's been wonky on me for weeks now though... esp when games are live.

Arsenal to continue their run? 22/10 away pretty good value no? Tuning in soon, if I find a good channel I'll stick around. Hoping Blades level and pull off an upset, but also torn because I want City to have the best possible opponents in FA semis...
8068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 21, 2021, 01:48:32 PM
Various posts above ^^^^

@Trofo nope, didn't watch, but I'm not surprised by much these days =p

I got burnt by Sevilla as well actually, but for some reason I had to put Atalanta into my parlay today against wisdom, so was really happy went they got 2 goals ahead at HT (should have just gone for them 25/10 at HT win damn me) but anyway, Barcelona betbuilder looks good for me today they're away and against a pretty decent team but I've a feeling they're gonna be up for it.

I'll be watching Leicester/United tonight though, so not watching Atletico as got money on Foxes;)

Good luck all!
8069  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: March 21, 2021, 12:37:09 PM
Arsenal boost wasn't much of a boost for me (just looked like a regular haha) so I didn't do much about that, just put them as part of an insured boosted parlay, so don't let me down, Gunners!

I would say compared to Mourinho, Klopp is doing things much better. They keep the possession and they keep on attacking. Yeah it sure is hard time for Reds without their main man in defence and their attacking not working as well but they sure are gonna find something if they keep on attacking.
Yeah, attacking is the best defense. I fully agree with this. Almost every team in the Premier League plays attacking football. I think the most important strategy is, after digesting a goal, to come back to the truck very quickly and counter-attack. If someone fails to counter-attack very quickly, it is difficult to get good results in the Premier League. Playing defensively in the Premier League can win very few matches.

I've never truly been worried about front 3. They have been piling on the attacks and our expected goals ratio has actually managed to maintain. This was actually what happened to City last season (highest expected goals but lowest actual to expected). Our problems happened from midfield to back, which is self perpetuating. Our best midfield has to cover our shitty back, and that also means the attacking third has to suffer.

I'm okay with where we are now. We have a bad season, bad luck with injuries and 21 different CB pairings with no consistency and we're still fighting. We'll never change our mentality to defend, and that's okay for me.
8070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 21, 2021, 11:57:05 AM
^ I think in the very first season, in the very first round of EPL pool on Superbru, someone got six exact scores, and a few outcomes correct. It made me think it was so easy but hey, everything changed afterwards;)

Anyway, I'm putting money on Benevento today to win a 18/1. Anyone else think it's a stupid bet?Wink
8071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: March 21, 2021, 10:56:21 AM
Thanks for the quick point out, rdbase, I definitely would have missed out on this one if I didn't see this thread. Very quick time between putting it up and it being actually available, so good luck to everyone keeping an eye on this thread! I see we have quite a few names in the leaderboard's top 20: JanpriX, leea, Trofo, so you guys certainly know what you're doing!

I'm going to try my - major underdog strategy, let's see if it works;)

Bilbao, Coventry and Sevilla, really guys, draws? Boring! Gonna do a 2-way hedge today with Serie A, I think Juventus could slip! And if not, then a slightly bigger bet on Leicester to trump United, and Atletico to extend their lead!

200 units at Sportsbet on Atletico, Leicester and Juve to WIN @4.97. Other odds: 4.89

100 units at Fairlay on Benevento to WIN @18.08. Other odds: 14.00

Total units advantage: 8+408

Running advantage after 267 bets: +17,959 (+416)
All-time cumulative: +55,498
Running units after 265 bets (391W|224L): +7,721 (-100)
8074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of America: It takes $93 million to move Bitcoin's price by 1%. on: March 20, 2021, 11:40:35 PM
Cool so to get us 90% more would only take 9 billion dollars (rough). So maybe a few big corporations topped up with retail fomo after that? Or say, a whole Biden term's worth of stimulus for people and for companies, and Europe stimulus to follow suit so businesses can do the Microstrategy?

Suppose it's all plausible. But when did we follow math from Bank of America again? Wink

Assuming my data was correct, out of the 286 EPL games played so far in this season:

252 ended below 21
12 ended at exactly 21
22 ended above 21 (out of those, only 8 were above 22)

These were the matches where the bet would have paid:

Something like this is definitely going to be pretty high variance, but I think it's pretty clear that it's an insanely good promotion  Smiley

This is awesome work DS, woulda thrown a few ms your way except I ran amok with my few yesterday or some. Started putting together something that would help me work out something else but I added a new column now for the total points and will share soon when it's done. As you said, a bit annoying to get something easy for free but anyway, damn, really really good promotion so far, and it really suits my style of going for the big win and losing many along the way.

I'll update and share this speadsheet again. Only 2 matchdays in there, and the very first 21 hit on Matchday 1!

If anyone wants edit access, happy to give;)

8076  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have a relatives who ask advise to invest, what should I do? on: March 20, 2021, 06:34:41 PM
What I did when asked is to say I can't give advice as I have done very badly myself (which isn't really lying -- the ICOs or alts I did choose to invest in before have more or less flopped, if not completely died). Then they know you're not the best person to ask.

Better to disappoint them now like this than to commit to something that might lose them money later. Relationships sour when involved with financial decisions. Trust the boomer here.
8077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The higher BTC goes, the bigger the risk/reward ratio and the less buyers enter on: March 20, 2021, 05:19:00 PM

Actually it is true and in addition, the BTC being a volatile is simply a risk now. I can say that it is very good to invest in BTC as long as you know the basics and the simple idea of it. The more the BTC go bullish the chance of risk getting higher too. But if you learn how to control or to have some explanations in it. But I suggest that we must be aware of the events and other things that might affect BTC because it is unpredictable and risky to push into it or to enter if you don't have amy idea what is happening to it.

Anyway, if someone wants a fast and more volatile market which can provide a huge amount in return then it's better to look into other cryptos which are good in the short run but the risk may be higher compared to bitcoin.

Bitcoin has always been volatile, that has never changed. Only the amplitudes and frequencies change, but that volatility is what's always attracted people to it if in for speculation, so not sure why it keeps being brought up. A market only over 10 years old is expected to behave like this.

I still think people have to stop seeing Bitcoin as a stock. It's really not.
8078  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you use Uphold? on: March 20, 2021, 03:56:35 PM
Uphold user here, but only because I wanted to see how much of Brave (BAT) tokens I could use (the only way you can claim them is to use Uphold and to pass KYC).

No bad experience, but I haven't actually used the wallet at any time. All I see is the monthly statement they send when they give me my BATs from advertisements. It's really just a few dollars every month, I don't use Brave a lot.

Congratulations to Hilarious for the round 🙌🏾

I've was able to maintain my stand and it's still a 12 points lead with 13 games to go right ? It's probably going to get tougher from here on as it's becoming harder to pick a side 🤥

Yeah 13 games. You would have to get 0 points from 4 games while someone gets exact scores on those, so I would bet money on you keeping and extending your lead, the way things are going.

I'm still somehow in the running for a prize spot but I still have my outright on Liverpool to look forward to (which has considerably become worth more as BTC price goes up!
