Meh...  Had Newcastle vs Spurs at 1 - 1.  Didn't think Poch will deploy a strong squad considering some of his key players need rest for another weekend or two...  Less injury risk.
8082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 11, 2018, 02:23:49 PM
I'm betting I'm not the only one who has been disillusioned that CCs are a hedge against money devaluation--seems Turkey's problems are our problems as well. My guess is that the market is derived by how much investor money can be allocated for high risk investments and not consumer demand, so maximalist's thumping their Bibles and claiming that BTC will overtake the dollar is extra funny for me today. People don't run to the experiential technology in times of chaos, they run to the side of whoever has the most thermal nuclear weapons and aircraft carriers.

That coming from the POV of a normie.  But what if they know what we know?  And as many of you guys said, this is a marathon, not a sprint (or race?  I forgot.  Lol).  Anway, yeah...  It'll all come around, and the normies will be getting in way higher than where it is now.
8083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Decentraland/MANA Speculation (on Etherdelta now) on: August 11, 2018, 02:14:10 PM
Rather than making a new thread I think it would be better to use this one.

MANA/ETH:  A Decent Hedge for ETH?

It looks like it imho.  It has been trending vs ETH simce the beginning of the year and has been making higher lows.  I've been holding some left over ETH from a previous trade and thought it might be better to put it to work rather than keeping it and losing value at the same time.

What do you guys think?
8084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRON (TRX) is going crazy. on: August 10, 2018, 03:13:14 PM
God I feel dirty holding this.  Lmao.  My average buy price is around slightly less double the current price.  Cheesy

This is one of the rarest times that I didn't follow my stop loss.  You know why?  I blame Justin Sun, but I was stupid for listening to all his marketing bs on Twitter.  Grin
8085  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does the 2017 crash “feel” different than the 2014 crash? on: August 10, 2018, 03:04:45 PM
^  Lmao!  Yup.  And I have witnessed both crashes and I can def say they 'feel' exactly the same!  Losing def hurts...  A lot!  It's like feeling one big adrenaline dump and you realize that you've lost a lot of value.

8086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 227: Dillashaw vs Garbrandt 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: August 10, 2018, 02:55:49 PM
^  So it's looking more like Dillashaw made the right decision by leaving Faber's team for a better one.  His two victories vindicates him.  I think the second match vindicates him even more cos I wouldn't really be that surprised if Garbrandt wasn't trained well to face Dillashaw.

Garbrandt should switch camps now...
8087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 10, 2018, 02:49:51 PM
^  Lol.  'It shouldn't be that hard'?  Really?  How would you know?  Being a manager of one of the richest clubs in Europe that only expects the best is one of the toughest jobs in football.  It will never be 'it shouldn't really be that hard'.
8088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [UFC] The wait is over. Khabib vs Conor on: August 10, 2018, 02:44:35 PM
^  Sure McGregor party's a lot (I heard he's a big coke head) but you really can't throw genetics out of the window on why a human body is the way it is.  There are three basic body types, the endomorph, ectomorph and the mesomorph (in which most are a combination of the two or three types), and each has different characteristics.

Obsolete or not, he still has a point.
8089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 10, 2018, 02:34:23 PM
I think Man Utd will beat Leicester, I just don’t think Leicester will be able to get anything. United haven’t done that well in the transfer market this summer but they have a big, powerful squad & should have far too much quality.

They have done quite well actually but some player are not going to be playing for them. Take boateng for example, he personally phoned Mourinho just to tell him about this. Alot of sentiment regarding United's first game and alot says that leicester could win but in term quality, Manchester united is still way ahead of leicester and thats a fact
actually I think that tey didn't get Boating because they wanted to get him on loan while Bayern wants to sell now he is looking to join PSG for a €45m deal.
I think United should be able to pick the three points they are playing at home and they should succeed Alexis Sanchez is looking to play as Center Forward and we all know lethal is when he plays there while Leicester could play without Vardy so they will have problems breaking through also Mahrez left and his replacement morisson is doubtful to play.

Are Spurs going to buy any player this summer if not they will be the first team to do that since 2003 I thought Pochettinho was given good budget for the summer after blaming Daniel Levy of not giving him the tools to win titles.

Nope...  And Poch seems happy about it.  I think by Daniel Levy saying that they were gonna take risks now means they're keeping their current players and not acquire anybody unless it def adds more value to their squad.

I guess keeping their star players in could be considered a success.
8090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 09, 2018, 12:12:26 PM
The opening game of the Premier league is Manchester United against Leicester City. The opening game usually have shown that the favourite will not win and I think we will see a direct first upset to Mourinho and co. Manchester United have struggled lately to show a good football and I think that they will just continue to show that pattern in the first game of the opening Premier league.

So are you suggesting that betting against Man United is good?  It could be a good idea depending on the odds...  I haven't checked anything yet but I would never bet anything less than a +1 at 2.50 odds especially if LCFC is away.
8091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 09, 2018, 11:58:40 AM
Fun fact: Tottenham Hotspur hasn't signed anybody in the whole Transfer Window and is the only team in the Premier League for not having signed anybody.
That's not fun if you're a Tottenham fan LOL but I'm sure they'll make some surprising signings tomorrow...right?  Cheesy

Looove the Adama Traore signing by Wolverhampton.  He's worth every penny imo, watch.  The guy is very quick on his feet and loves to take on defenders.  His decision making could use a little bit more work but nothing some experience under a good coach couldn't fix.

He'll be playing in a big club one day...
He's a great player, fast, dribbler, strong...Too bad he didn't make a good impression in Barcelona, only played one match and it was only for 16 minutes. But 20m for a 22yo with experience in the EPL is a bargain, especially in the current market.

And Wolverhampton are killing it with cheap and good transfers this summer: Jonny Castro (on loan from Atletico), Joao Moutinho (£5m), Raúl Jiménez (on loan from Benfica), Rui Patrício (18m), and now Adama. Also, there are rumours that Wolves want to sign Zinchenko (Manchester City), though I think it's going to be difficult since Pep really likes this player. They're also looking to sign Dendoncker from Anderlecht for £12m.

Yup.  I actually thought the Spurs would be making big signings since Levy said they're gonna take 'huge risks' during this transfer window.  Poch even met with him after the season ended to decide on his future, and since Poch signed a new contract to stay at Tottenham, I assumed it was a big transfer budget that made him stay.  Lol.

And yeah...  The Wolves will certainly be entertaining to follow this season.
8092  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wtf Guys!?! on: August 09, 2018, 11:28:39 AM
...   Aaaand here we are again.  Back to 6000 USD.  I swear some really old guy at the top is pushing the crypto doom switch and maniacally laughing while doing it.

And shouldn't alts taking advantage of a 'weak' BTC and try and gain more market share?
8093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 227: Dillashaw vs Garbrandt 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: August 08, 2018, 02:54:34 PM
^  Could their history at Team Alpha Male be making Garbrandt more emotional than usual?  Dillashaw was Garbrandt's sparring partner, and there were times when Dillashaw would spar as if it was a real bout.  Lol.  There was a rumor that he hit Garbrandt so hard once during training and it KO'd him.  Cheesy

8095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's English Premier League Football Pool £25 to join Prize Pot @ £725 on: August 08, 2018, 02:32:51 PM
CL is gonna start in a couple of months or so.  Should we be starting to promote that too?  I'm pretty sure at least 10 players in this pool will also join the CL one.

I'm cutting back on the sports bets after a bad season, so I'm gonna need these pools to at least make the games more interesting.  I don't bet that much per match, but the losses do stack up.  Lol.
8096  Economy / Gambling / Re: Official Americas Cardroom Thread on: August 08, 2018, 02:22:30 PM
^  It's not even just about that.  Online poker has been dying.  All that's left playing are angle shooters with Stars being the worst of them all.  Every kind of angle shooting scum is found in that site from botters to solvers.

But it's still fun playing online...  I just play cheeseburger stakes of HU SnG's these days of I get bored.
8097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: August 07, 2018, 03:17:40 PM
So who's gonna be Ricciardo's replacement?  Gasly, Hartley...  Maybe Carlos Sainz (who's having a difficult time at Renault)?

But what I would like to see is Alonso in RBR.  That could at least make things a bit more interesting for next season imo.
8098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [UFC] The wait is over. Khabib vs Conor on: August 07, 2018, 03:07:56 PM
^  Yup!  It's an interesting theory cos coach Zahabi goes on and says that it's prolly how McGregor's muscles are connected to the bone that makes his punches really fast and how that and the thicker muscle fibers can't retain oxygen as much.  I'm gonna look for that vid then post it.  It's a good watch.
8099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 07, 2018, 02:41:28 PM
^  We still haven't heard much from Tottenham, but they could acquire a key player or two.
the last I heard, they were keen on Stanislav Lobotka (Celta), deal could be around £30m according to Mirror...not sure if true though, might be just a random name to get more clicks lol

^  We still haven't heard much from Tottenham, but they could acquire a key player or two.  As for United, I don't think they'll be spending as much as they did thr past two transfer windows.  Woodward is pretty much done...  To Mou's frustration.  Grin

Rumours circulating that United will go balls deep (lol) for Maguire which will break the world record for a defender (currently stands at 75 million GBP for Van Dijk).

I just have a feeling United will be very active in the last few days.
It looks like they're looking for defender. Latest rumours say that they're interested in Jerome Boateng (Bayern) and Toby Alderweireld (Tottenham). It seems like Maguire will stay in Leicester.

United should def try and get Toby Alderweireld.  I wonder what kind of price will Daniel Levy will be offering for Woodward on thr last day before the transfer window closes?  Grin

There were stories that some players even were on standby at the airport just hours before the deadline waiting for a call.  Lol.
8100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 07, 2018, 02:06:51 PM
^  Yup and he hasn't really stayed at a single club for more than 4 years or so.  If he leaves this season or at the next season then Man United would be his 'greatest failure'.  He was brought in to win the league and play attacking football, but nada...  He could at least give United fans the latter.

Well I am a United supporter. I am not gonna lie, after Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement all the managers have failed to achieve anything substantial. I am starting to wonder if Mourinho's era hasn't already run its course and he needs to go now. I could care less about who the next manager would be, honestly. Big name or no-name manager it doesn't matter as long as they manage to win a trophy again. United have been in shambles since Ferguson left and the only significant trophy for that period of time was the Europa League cup last year. That's not enough for Mourinho to stay.

Looks to me like he’s trying to get himself sacked. Have you seen all his comments in press conferences moaning  constantly?

Fergie would fucking hate him I think.

Yup no sh*t.  It's like his usual exit strategy whenever he feels like he doesn't want working for the club anymore.  He did it at Real, Chelsea and he's doing it now at his current club.

After Mou, bring in Poch please.  Thanks.  Grin
