Most of you heard of the DNS attack which targeted Myetherwallet (MEW) web wallet users. tons of coins were stolen that day ( 6 days ago).
I can not stress on how important it is to use a hardware or at least an offline wallet to store your crypto ,but should you INSIST on using web based wallet keep in mind that you are only a few steps far from being compromised.
there are a few ways hackers can steal your coins, one of the most obvious is a DNS attack, therefore you should avoid using public - known DNS servers such as Google, OpenDns Home , etc ...
1- Always use your ISP DNS server, even though it is probably technically less secured than say Google DNS server but the fact that it is not used by so many users and mostly unknown, it stays far from the hacker's targets.
2- Always make sure that you are using a secure connection, using chrome for an example, you have to see a green lock next to the url your browsing, click on secure and check the validity of the certificate.
3-The use of Virtual Keyboards can save you sometimes. something like Kaspersky Virtual Keyboard is much more secure than hitting your keyboard.
4-use multiple wallets, remember the old saying about eggs and basket ! it is still valid.

it only takes a minute, it's automated and happens instantly ! unless the seller is busy / sick/ dead then you may have been scammed. please report back when/if you get the coupon. |

There is more and more being done each and every day. The admins are working very hard to combat the issues that are most prevalent around the forum. We've gotten the merit system, which did a heavy number on spammers having incentive to continue their obnoxious habits. That was probably priority number one, because it was making this forum a wasteland to navigate. I imagine that scamming isn't something they enjoy seeing around here, and there has been increasing limitations on lower-ranking accounts due to the abuse we've seen coming from them. Their ability to have clickable links in their signature, for example, was removed with the implementation of the merit system. So I am wondering if maybe we will see the removal of their ability to self-moderate with another simultaneous implementation of some kind. with all due respect, you do realize that newbies do not understand all this merit / trust/ ranking stuff? i am not just assuming i am talking from a newbie point of view. kindly read my personal experience as a newbie here > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3369863.new#newI know it must be hard for you to understand my point of you, I am a programmer and when i see code it looks as familiar as my native language i can spot a syntax error from miles away, when other people look at my code they do not see a thing different ! everything seems the same. this is how an average newbie would see the Market place's topic. nothing but a bunch of people selling stuff. ranking , merit, trust are things that the average user may not even be aware of their existence !! I honestly do not see an point of keeping locked/self moderated on the market - place. name me 1 pro and i will get you 10 cons on the other hand ! I am aware of the effort put to educate people on identifying scammers but this is like letting a bird fly just to catch it again when it's already in your hand!! really just have a lock at the top 20 topics as for now, and you as an experienced member will be able to tell that 90% of them are scams !. the least thing that the admins can do for us "NOOBS" is to give us a sort of filtering function where we can hide all locked/self moderated topics. cheers ! |

I do not need this, I have feedback on other forums you are a potential scam! anyone seller refuses to escrow is simply a scam **** . reason is the buyer pays the escrow fees so you have got nothing to lose. as long as you are refusing to escrow then you are simply a scam. |

Bitcoin is struggling to even reach 10k and 12k is not likely. 20K is a dream. But we shall see.

It requires just one single dump to make people's sentiment change from positive to negative. It could be just a manipulation attempt or an actual funded dump due to insider trading. What I try to say is that we shouldn't really focus on levels too far ahead of the current trend, especially so with how things are still somewhat the same as how they were a few weeks ago. We need the market to comfortably hover over levels a notch or two above the $10,000 level. If we do happen to face a dump at that time, it won't directly push the market down to a point people's sentiment changes instantly. We need more space between crucial support levels and the latest exchange rate, all to be able to comfortable catch up larger dumps.
100% correct, but also it requires just one single pump to make people's sentiment change from negative to positive. just like last year end. there is a huge chance that whales may dump the market at any time, that's why we never trade without a SL. but in my opinion they have already sharked out so many weak hands and they want to sell at much higher prices. i wouldn't be surprised if the price dumps again at 11K levels. but really this market has much much much more room to the upside than to the downside. a simple zoom out on the chart can tell us what direction is the market going. |

Guys why does 20K seems like an impossible thing to you ?  The fact that the crypto-market is very small (way less than 1 Trillion $ in total ,420 Billion as for right now) makes it very easy to move to both directions in no time, some traders compare crypto to forex which is wrong, there is well over 5 Trillion $ trading volume only. just remember that ! - BTC went from 6K to 9.5 K in less than 18 days this month !!! ( well over 40% increase ) - Last year btc went from 5k to 20K in 35 days ( 250% increase) Now fundamentals are a major factor and everything can change at any second. but technically speaking we broke a major down trend, we building a new support/up trend which has been tested couple times and proven to be strong enough. the biggest obstacle would be the double top at 11-12 K. it may take weeks to break that but the road from 12 K to 20 K is going to be much smoother. as much as i want crpyto to MOON in no time, i would love to see a slow and steady growth. |

I certainly like your service. But the fact that you seem to do this without profit is actually a bit of a red flag to me. Do you plan to charge a certain extra % in the future or how do you plan to sustain this service?
in fact he is the biggest winner of all this. some people do this for FREE. the reason behind this is " buying crypto for cheap". most people have to pay 5-10% more to buy BTC or any type of crypto through banks and what not. so the seller here get's crypto at it's BEST REATE ever. not only this. the more products he buy of these websites. he gets rewarded for Gift Cards that can be sold/used again later. on the other hand people without CC benefit from this too. for example I do not have a CC , but i can sell my BTC for 5% to anyone for cash where I live. but i wouldn't mind giving up that 5% to get something i can't buy for cash. so really this is a WIN - WIN situation. good luck guys  Very nice explanation.
